Necromancy: Dead Men/Women Tell No Tales!

Hello Everybody!

Today, I want to talk about the issue of consulting mediums and/or necromancers (fortune tellers, magicians, warlocks, witches, etc) in order to talk to those who are dead or have passed on for consultation with regards to what will happen in your future. There are many people out there who want to either know what will happen in their future or would like to speak to those who seemingly have the ability to consult the “dearly departed” on things regarding their futures. The Bible is very explicit on the subject of necromancy in that it is strictly forbidden to do so.

Many gullible people consult mediums and the like seeking to hear “a word” from their dearly departed not knowing that they are engaging in the communion of consulting with “Familiar Spirits”. A Familiar Spirit is a demonic spirit that is able to imitate the appearance/ image and voice of someone you know. Grieving individuals tend to be the most susceptible and most vulnerable people to consult with a medium/witch and/or warlock etc, all because they have not come to terms with the finality of their loved-ones death. It is so important to have, or seek emotional support from other people that can be with you during your time of grief. This doesn’t mean that you should then go out and seek out people who can connect you to the “spiritual world” just in order to hear from the “other side”. If you aren’t wise, you will open yourself up and your entire family up to some serious demonic influences that can further break your family apart and also ultimately cause you to lose your mind if you aren’t careful. This type of activity opens up doors for blood-line sins to pass on from one generation to the next creating a string of generational curses that grow stronger and stronger from each generation and won’t break until such activities are confessed to and renounced in order to be broken through your confession of having engaged in such activities that contradict the Word of God (The Bible) before God.

There is a reason why we shouldn’t seek to consult from individuals that claim to have access to the “spiritual realm of the dead” who can communicate to you the thoughts of those who have dearly departed from the land of the living. First of all, it is a sin, and second of all, you will find yourself in bondage to demoniacally oppressive spirits that can pass onto the next generation in your family line as a generational curse if you fail to (1) renounce and (2) stop engaging in such activities. The types of curses when consulting with the dead or using witchcraft and/or demonic spirits as mediums to consult on things concerning your future manifest in different types of ways in each family.

Break free from every generational curse operating in your life!

I know that in my family there was a generational curse operating on both sides where the twins would either die young or die after achieving a huge feat. My sister and I, and my twin cousins are the longest surviving twins so far in the family. I think that the reason why my sister and I are the longest surviving twins so far is because we both got saved at the age of 16 in China and renounced any participation known or unknown of anything with respect to the use of witchcraft within the family (generationally speaking) whether indirectly or directly involved in anything that includes any member who may have used the Ouija board, voodoo, practiced or participated directly or indirectly in anything witchcraft related or the black arts, reading of horoscopes, palm reading, using tarot cards, transcendental meditation, fortune telling, consulting or participating in séances or consulting with witchdoctors etc, engaging in magic (black or white) including the ones you see at circuses/entertainment events or “magic shows”, hypnosis/hypnotism, ghost-related games etc and the list goes on. If you or any family member have engaged in any of the activities I have listed above, trust me when I say that a curse is operating in your life known or unbeknownst to you if you have not renounced nor forsaken your involvement in the practice and usage of such activities in your life.

Curses can manifest in different ways such as infirmities or sicknesses that pass on from one generation to the next, continual nightmares, insomnia, demonic oppression manifested physically (i.e. losing control of your body, levitation, body twisting on it’s own, cuts and bruises appearing on your body out of nowhere, physical deformities that appear during birth, demonic possession/oppression etc etc…the list goes on). Again I say, it is strictly forbidden to consult with a “familiar spirit” or calling on “the Ancestors” by any means from a necromancer/fortune teller/witch and/or warlock etc. It doesn’t matter which country you come from, they have many names in different cultures for such individuals that use witchcraft in some form as a method to devise some form of spiritual communication with a demonic/spiritual force(s) to “enlighten” you about your future by telling you things that they seemingly already know about your past. Do not get suckered into this!

Think of this story concerning Saul who consulted with a medium at Endor.

1 Samuel 28:3-14 (NIV)

Saul and the Medium at Endor

³ Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had mourned for him and buried him in his own town of Ramah. Saul had expelled the mediums and spiritists from the land.

⁴ The Philistines assembled and came and set up camp at Shunem, while Saul gathered all Israel and set up camp at Gilboa. ⁵ When Saul saw the Philistine army, he was afraid; terror filled his heart. ⁶ He inquired of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him by dreams or Urim or prophets.⁷ Saul then said to his attendants, “Find me a woman who is a medium,so I may go and inquire of her.”

“There is one in Endor,” they said.

⁸ So Saul disguised himself, putting on other clothes, and at night he and two men went to the woman. “Consult a spirit for me,” he said, “and bring up for me the one I name.”

⁹ But the woman said to him, “Surely you know what Saul has done. He has cut off the mediums and spiritists from the land. Why have you set a trap for my life to bring about my death?”

¹⁰ Saul swore to her by the Lord, “As surely as the Lord lives, you will not be punished for this.”

¹¹ Then the woman asked, “Whom shall I bring up for you?”

“Bring up Samuel,” he said.

¹² When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out at the top of her voice and said to Saul, “Why have you deceived me? You are Saul!”

¹³ The king said to her, “Don’t be afraid. What do you see?”

The woman said, “I see a ghostly figure^[a] coming up out of the earth.”

¹⁴ “What does he look like?” he asked.

“An old man wearing a robe is coming up,” she said.

Then Saul knew it was Samuel, and he bowed down and prostrated himself with his face to the ground.

As you can see from this passage, the woman didn’t say that “she saw Samuel”, Saul simply assumed that it was Samuel based on the description the medium had given to him. The saying is true when we say that “ASSUMPTIONS ARE DANGEROUS”!!!!!!

On the flip side, although I have been stressing the fact that we should not consult mediums, witches etc etc because of their usage of demonic powers/spirits to foretell you your future, God has a people that are “genuine individuals” who are able to prophesy of things that are yet to come who are inspired by the Holy Spirit to speak when given the “unction to function” in the gifts of the Holy Spirit (specifically). They tend to be more accurate and specific when relaying instructions or interpreting visions and/or dreams. With anything that is genuinely Godly, be mindful of the fact that the devil will aways create a counterfeit, so what we Christians need to know is that we need to build a high level of spiritual discernment in order to be able to distinguish the difference between a “fake” versus the “genuine article”. In order to build that level of sensitivity to be able to tell the difference, you need to understand that when God is confirming something through an individual by prophesying to you about a specific event or something concerning your destiny, whatever is spoken should be confirmed by His Word, or whatever is spoken to you should not contradict what is written in the Bible. Just because an individual prophesy’s to you doesn’t mean that you have to accept what was spoken to you right away. I always believe in proceeding with caution to whomever speaks over your life.

For example: Someone can’t “claim” to tell you that you will marry a so-and-so if the person that they claim you will marry is already married to someone else. God does not contradict Himself, so it is important to be able to tell the difference between a genuine prophet(tess) from a false one. I also want to make it clear that true Godly prophets/prophetess’ or prophetic intercessors with a measure of the prophetic gifting are the genuine article of individuals that God uses to prophesy of events that will occur in your life through:

1. Dream Interpretations – (think of Joseph in Genesis 40:8);

2. Prophetic Instructions for future events – think of Noah and the Ark story (Genesis 6:13-22);

and/or by

---

3. Prophetic Visions – think of Abraham (Genesis 15:1- [ The Lord’s Covenant With Abram ] After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”).

Another example of prophetic visions can be found in the following scriptures:

Genesis 46:2

And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night and said, “Jacob! Jacob!” “Here I am,” he replied.

Numbers 12:6

he said, “Listen to my words: “When there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams.

Go into your prayer closet and seek God to confirm if whatever the so-called “man” or “woman” of God that spoke to you said was true. God has a way of confirming His Word to His people. He also has a way of showing you when someone is deceiving you. You need to develop that level of intimacy on your own to hear God for yourself rather than become overly-reliant and needy on someone else’s relationship with God to speak to you all the time concerning your future. God didn’t make us to be people reliant, He created us to be God-reliant individuals! God can use people to propel us in our destiny, but at the end of the day, God is the One who holds our futures in His Hands so that is why it is important to be God-reliant since people can fail us at anytime.

In conclusion, to further study on this topic, I recommend reading this book by Perry Stone called Exposing Satan’s Playbook which is available on Amazon.com to purchase. I think he does a really great in-depth analysis of certain types of curses, hindrances, habits and strategies to overcome satanic influences, powers and weapons used against you and your family known or unbeknownst to you.

Essentially, in order to be successful in combating such demoniacally inspired attacks against you and your family’s life, you need to build on gaining more knowledge concerning things with respect to Spiritual Warfare. Read books on the topic of Spiritual Warfare so that you become wiser and aware of how you can pray effectively to not only protect yourself from spiritual/physical and or verbal attacks but to also build on having the wisdom of knowing what to do when you are confronted with a battle concerning unseen forces operating in your life trying to destroy you, your mind and your family’s lives.
