Angela’s post really brings about some revelation concerning women’s issues and the way we deal with being offended by the wrongs that are done to either us or someone we care about through the story of Dinah and her brothers Simeon and Levi. I agree that we need to protect our girls, however, I also feel that we need to teach our boys the meaning of honor, self-respect and self-control with regards to lust. Lust is not Love and in the story of Dinah, I think that this was the issue with Shechem. It’s worth the read.
Dinah’s story is very sad. To be honest, when I came to her, at first I wondered what I was going to write about. What can I say about Dinah? Should I skip her and move on to someone else? But then I thought, No, her story is here for a reason. Let’s find out what God wants us to learn.
