Hey Y’all,
As you know, I have been on a Hiatus from blogging for quite some time and have decided to blog when I feel led to say something. This year has been a whirlwind of things happening to people I know and also with what’s going on in the entire world.
I came across this video from Grace for Purpose’s YouTube. I feel like this message is appropriate as a meditation for what we should all learn from this year of 2020 as we have reached the close of this year.
2021 maybe a new year, but the battles we face will still remain the same. The question is, how will we face these battles in the coming new year? Hopefully, with a renewed, sober and vigilant posture is my prayer. If this year taught the world anything… it’s not so much about the devastation that has been caused by the disease we know as the Coronavirus (COVID-19)… It should be the fact that we all need to recognize that we need God more than ever before to intervene in this seemingly overwhelmingly impossible situation.
As I ponder on this, I can only think that as Christians, we need to step our game up in prayer y’all. Have we fallen asleep by being distracted by bad news all around us? If anything, we need to change our posture from sleeping sheep to warfaring warriors for the upcoming New Year of 2021.
Here are some verses of Scripture to meditate on that have been in my spirit regarding how we should proceed with 2021:
Isaiah 43: 8-13
8 Lead out those who have eyes but are blind,
who have ears but are deaf.
9 All the nations gather together
and the peoples assemble.
Which of their gods foretold this
and proclaimed to us the former things?
Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right,
so that others may hear and say, “It is true.”
10 “You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor will there be one after me.
11 I, even I, am the Lord,
and apart from me there is no savior.
12 I have revealed and saved and proclaimed—
I, and not some foreign god among you.
You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “that I am God.
13 Yes, and from ancient days I am he.
No one can deliver out of my hand.
When I act, who can reverse it?”
In the book of Revelation, it talks about 7 different types of Churches:
- The Loveless Church – Revelation 2:1-7
- The Persecuted Church – Revelation 2:8-11
- The Compromising Church – Revelation 2:12-17
- The Corrupt Church – Revelation 2:18-29
- The Dead Church – Revelation 3:1-6
- The Faithful Church – Revelation 3:7-13
- The Lukewarm Church – Revelation 3:14-22
I urge the Church of Jesus Christ to be likened to the Faithful Church. We need to go back to our first Love people! Right now, we’ve been feeding our spirits with bad news… but have not selected to open up the Bible that is the Book that holds the GOOD NEWS we need to persevere and endure to the end for our Faith in Jesus Christ. We need to humble ourselves and pray and seek God’s face, and He who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly, is able to overthrow all the evil schemes of the enemy that is being unleashed on our world right now. Who will remember the Name of the Lord? Who will call out to Him? I pray that it is us, the Christians!
The Holy Spirit has been impressing upon my heart and my spirit regarding the Power of the Praying Church. Just because we can’t gather in the way that we would like due to the current Coronavirus situation…doesn’t mean that you stop praying as the Body of Christ! What do you think the persecuted church did in the New Testament… did they simply throw up their hands in the air in surrender and forsake the Lord…? HELL NO! They did not… Nothing could stop the persecuted church from continuing to preach the Gospel of Truth to the Nations. In fact… we should all learn from this if anything. The Word of God still needs to be preached to the Nations and to those that do not know Him.

Ephesians 6:10-18 – The Whole Armor of God – Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. …
Now more than ever, we need to make our presence known in the World and make it obvious that the answers we seek to overcome this crisis lies in the hands of the Believers. Those that are called by His Name, if they simply humble themselves and pray, God will deliver all of us from the hands of our enemies and will bring practical solutions from the least likely of sources to all that we are facing today in the least likely chosen vessels that will stand in the gap and intercede for the Faith.
2 Chronicles 7:14 – if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
We are being heavily bombarded with distracting bad news that we have failed to see that our overconsumption of this bad news has led us to fail and become more complacent that we have not chosen to humble ourselves and kneel before the King of kings who is able to overthrow the plans of our Adversary the Devil. Church of Jesus Christ, it is time to humble ourselves and pray, and Seek the Lord’s face NOW! When we humble ourselves before the Lord of Hosts, that is when He will hear from Heaven, and He will heal the land, Amen! We need to do this NOW AMEN!
The song that comes to my mind when I think about this is from Fred Hammond called If My People. I pray that as you listen to this song, we will all remember the power of God that still exists in our lives so that we can call out to Him to intervene on our behalf if we just look to the Author and Finisher of our Faith as we collectively humble our posture before the Almighty God that is able to Heal our bodies and Heal the Land. God Bless You Everybody and let 2021 be a victorious turn-around type of year for all People, Amen!
We miss you and your great insight. Thanks for the inspiration this morning. Much appreciated.
Love this: “we will all remember the power of God that still exists in our lives so that we can call out to Him to intervene on our behalf if we just look and humble our posture to the Almighty God.”
May our mighty King Jesus bless you in 2021.

Hello My Friend Michael. So glad that this post encouraged you today. Yes I have missed my blogger friends. I’ve been feeling the need to be silent and wait when I need to speak on something. It’s been that type of year for me. Something is shifting and therefore, I will blog only when I feel led to speak on something pressing in my spirit to be spoken. I pray that as we close out this year, that God will bless you and your family in to 2021. May God be exalted into 2021. Stay blessed my friend 🙂 – Sherline
