Building on Integrity in a World with Moral Decay

Quotefancy-16915-3840x2160

Hello Everybody!ūüėÄ

I pray that your Weekend is going pretty well.

We had a brother in the church that lost a newborn baby and just came back from Africa from burying the baby.ūüė¶ We as a church pulled together to minister to his spirit by loving on this individual because it’s so important to have support when you’re going through that time of grief. I know I needed it when I was going through the grief of losing my grandmother who was someone very important to me. I pray that he and his wife will pull through this together and that God will restore joy back to them and bless them with many more children in the future. I found out later on after service by my Pastor, that the brother¬†was so moved by the love displayed by the members of the church that he made a decision today that he wants to serve. To me, that is worth a praise and a shout to God. It’s amazing what the love of God can do for someone. If it causes a person to move into destiny, then I’m all about that. No manipulation involved, just pure and genuine unconditional love is enough to move a person and shift their destiny, Amen!ūüėÄ

That’s what it means to be the Church people of God. We build each other up by supporting each other, growing with each other, edifying each other and training each other to keep moving forward to the upward call of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

So today I want to continue on this whole thing about INTEGRITY. For those of you following along, please refer back to my previous posts, the Transition to Elevation¬†post and the It’s PA time with God, How did you measure up? post.

integrityIt is so important to assess the condition of your heart when seeking elevation, promotion and going up somewhere that you’ve never been to before. God always looks at our hearts to determine if we are ready for the next level. If you’re not prepared, God won’t bring you to something or someone that you aren’t prepared for. People want to experience high levels and high heights, but are spiritually, intellectually and/or emotionally immature to handle the responsibility of the next level. I can tell you right now that if you harbor any jealousy, bitterness, pride and arrogance towards your fellow brother or sister, be it family, friends, co-workers or peers who are getting blessed, then you’re heading down a dangerous path of destruction.

What is INTEGRITY?

The dictionary defines it as:

  1. adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.
  2. the state of being whole, entire, or undiminished.
  3. a sound, unimpaired, or perfect condition.

The Bible also has a few things to say about integrity:

Let me be weighed on honest scales, That God may know my integrity.

The Lord shall judge the peoples; Judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, And according to my integrity within me.

Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You.

So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

bmmlwvsimaabs4qIt is so important to walk in integrity with your heart because if you don’t, you will walk in a place filled with many dangers. Those that lack integrity live a perverse life and are drawn to wickedness, are boastful and have a lying tongue. They will delight in the ways of evil and not good, and such people will corrupt your heart and will lie with their lips. They walk in the counsel of the ungodly and find themselves bound up by their own devices. Notice how I said “They will be bound up by their own devices” and not necessarily the devices of the enemy because all the devil has to do is dangle something in front of such a person and they’ll¬†run quickly to evil and will get caught up in a snare. My message to you is to please not become such a person. Such a person will have a seared conscience (1 Timothy 4:2) and will not maintain any standard that has to do with Godly moral principles.

He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known.

The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.

Better is the poor who walks in his integrity Than one who is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

It is better to hold onto Integrity, because it is founded on a person choosing to maintain a Godly moral standard way of living. Those that have integrity will be blessed in everything that they do and will receive promotion, elevation and much much more.

The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.

Integrity is also founded on TRUST.¬†Can God trust you with His business?¬†If God can’t trust you with little, why is it that we expect to receive so much from God as if we are entitled to every blessing from the Lord? What have you given God lately? Have you given Him your time, your attention, your love? We really¬†need to get away from simply demanding stuff from God and really start focusing on building a closer relationship with Him by pursuing the HEART of the FATHER.¬†Seek to understand Jesus’ Heart by being a God Chaser.

Luke 16:10

10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.

INTEGRITY is what you pass on to the next generation if you are a parent/guardian/mentor/teacher/pastor/leader. If you look at Proverbs 20:7, it tells you that even the children of a righteous man who walks in integrity are blessed after him. If we need to pass on something to the next generation, let it be INTEGRITY people. Right now we live in a Godless society that wants us to compromise our beliefs and what we stand for, but God is seeking a people to stand for what is right, to stand up for what is good and to stand up for our Lord Jesus Christ. We can’t be closet Christians. Our life should scream “I’m a believer of Christ Jesus”, but do you want to know the reason why some people aren’t obvious in their Christianity? It is because some people are “Christians” in name only, but not in conduct.¬†We cannot afford to be this way.¬†

heartI remember sharing this story with my church the other day because right now we’re dealing with a series that my Pastor has been talking about called “God, Money and You”. You can check out those sermons on our church website livingproofcentre.org¬†.¬†So a while back my parents were friends with this guy that they went to school with in the UK. My parents moved to Canada and this friend followed, but he ended up living in Vancouver since we lived in Ontario. He had just gotten married a few years after that and apparently the woman that he married was quite wealthy so when he visited us and my parents in Ontario a few months after getting married, he came and showed off his golf clubs and made fun of my parents and their house and was quite disrespectful to them and to me with his show of arrogance and pride asserting that “he’d made it”.

Frankly speaking, I didn’t care and was very annoyed to serve this guy with hospitality because if it were me, I’d show you the door and won’t think twice on it if you think you can just disrespect me and my family in my own house, however, my parents were more gracious than I was at the time and entertained this so-called “friend” until he left to go back to Vancouver. I honestly was like good riddance…I mean really people, really!ūüė¶ ¬†Oh Minister Sherline, you shouldn’t say that…yes, I’m saying that because I’m being real here.

My parents could not believe this supposed “bible-believing” friend that they went to school with together could change so much. My question was, did you really know the man? The man was obviously in love with money and you know what the Bible says about the love of money? It is the root of all evil. Don’t get me wrong, money in and of itself is not bad, but its the way in which one pursues it that matters. Do you pursue it with just means, or are you unjust in your methods of pursuing wealth? All these things matter people.

1 Timothy 6:10

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

integritaet-w620xh248-cutout

A few months pass by and it became apparent that this friend no longer wanted to have anything to do with my parents because he was a “high-roller” now and why would he need to hang out with those below his so-called status? Let me just say that our standards are never God’s standards if we act with a haughty spirit filled with pride and arrogance. Anyways, a few months down the road we read about that brother in the newspaper. He had stolen over $450K from the Children’s hospital and wrote out over 75 fraudulent cheques. As a consequence, the man was put under house arrest for 2 years and we also heard that the government of Canada had placed a ban from him from ever traveling to the USA for life, he was stripped of his accountancy designation that he worked so hard alongside my stepdad to obtain in the UK, I mean, the man was simply destroyed. In the papers they quote this about him:

“”It’s the scarlet letter that you wear,” [An Official]¬†said. “‚ÄôHe’s the guy that stole the money from the Children’s Hospital.‚Äô That’s how he’ll be remembered.”

We as a family were shocked about this brother’s demise. I mean, the whole thing is sad, but this is what happens when people lack INTEGRITY to¬†maintain¬†Godly standards in their character and conduct. This is what happens when you don’t preserve your integrity. You compromise and do things your way because you don’t want to listen to God anymore, you want to take things into your own hands and feel like you don’t need to answer to anybody and refuse to submit to Godly and wise counsel. You will be operating in a place of mediocrity and will end up with a life that is mediocre. When you lead yourself astray, the devil uses you as his playground to get you to a place where you are bound up, isolated and can’t move. That is called BONDAGE folks.

The truth is, there is redemption and there is grace, however, the road is much harder to walk on because you have to guide yourself back to the right path by first seeking the Father’s heart through REPENTANCE. Don’t ever take God’s grace in your life for granted, because one of these days, that grace period will run out and it’ll be too late. If your heart is far from the Father, you are walking on a perilous road. Stop trying to exalt yourself when humility is the path that you should walk in in order to preserve your life and your future. I’ve lived a life serving dignitaries at a government level and can tell you, I’ve seen the worst in government and I’ve seen amazing people at the same time. How you climb up in promotion MATTERS, because if you ever fall, you’ll have to wonder if there will be anybody below to catch you when you fall. How you treat people MATTERS, because if you treat people with disdain, you will have no true support to help you when you’re down. Treat people in the way you would like to be treated, Amen!¬†

Titus 2:6-8

6 Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded, 7 in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,[a] 8 sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.

Here is a song from Elevation Worship called Grace Like a Wave. I pray that it ministers to someone’s spirit today as we meditate of the Grace of God and how we shouldn’t take that grace for granted in our lives. Let’s learn to walk in right-standing, Amen! God bless you everybody!ūüėÄ

The Blameless Christian

BlamelessHi Everybody,

I am still trying to get back into the habit of writing but it’s going to take me a bit more time since I’ve been preparing for a fundraising event. The one thing that God has been talking to me lately is about living the “blameless” lifestyle as a Christian.

Granted, we all struggle with weaknesses because we wrestle with our sinful nature and that is understandable, but what God was talking to me about is about living a life with INTERGRITY and HUMILITY.

If we fear God, we must be a type of people that do not stir up trouble or strife in the lives of others.¬† We have to live a life where no one can say “this person did me wrong”. We have to be strong enough to say “I am sorry” and “I was wrong”. The moment we cannot say these words, is when we have the problem of PRIDE in our lives. We must do a serious heart check in order to remain in “right-standing” before the King of kings and the righteous judge.

Do not give room for the Accuser to have a case against you.

Psalm 37:37

Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace.

God resists the proud and always gives grace to the humble. (James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5)

We cannot be people causing our brothers or sisters to stumble because of our attitude. We must be careful that we do not create an atmosphere in which the devil will have a case built up against you to accuse you before the King of kings giving him the permission to torment your life.

In the eyes of the Lord we must be “Blameless”.¬†¬†

Recently I wrote on my Facebook page about an offering that is not accepted by God in reference to Matthew 5:23-25. Believe me, this principle is still in action today and yet God has been talking to me about how people worship Him in vain when still being disobedient to simple principles.

In my Facebook page I wrote:

There is an offering that is not acceptable to God. When we hurt our brothers and sisters and do not make it right, God will not accept your tithe or offering until you have made it right with them. You must fear God so much that you seek to make it right with your brother or sister. Some people’s blessings are bound up because they have disobeyed this one simple principle and thus, tithe and offer in vain hoping things will change. Go back and make it right and then come back to the alter with your offering and God will bless the works of your hands.

Matthew 5:23-25

23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.

Let us not toy with our lives and fool ourselves. We have to do right and live right and admit our faults and failures. Sometimes it’s not always about being “right” all the time; it’s about creating an atmosphere of peace with your fellow brothers and sisters which is pleasing and acceptable to God. I’m not saying that you will always agree with one another, but the point is, Peace is what we create by the choices we make and by the attitude we choose to present ourselves with towards others as we operate in the reverential fear of the Lord.

Job was described as “Blameless”.¬† Read the Word and consider what it means to be BLAMELESS before the Lord.

LIVE RIGHT, DO RIGHT, SPEAK RIGHT, and BELIEVE RIGHT. <— this is the key to remaining BLAMELESS.

I have a song that is in my spirit from 21:03¬† called In Your Presence. May this song bless your spirit today. God bless you everybody!¬†ūüėÄ

Thought of the Day: So You’re Christian Huh?

Hi Everybody!

I think I’m on spoken word mode.¬† This video I’m sharing really makes you look at where you stand in Christ. It’s one thing to know about God, but it’s another to be in relationship with Him. We can’t have an acquaintance-like relationship with Jesus by knowing Him in Name only and yet ignore Him for who He really is to us; He is our Lord and Savior and King of kings. May this Video help us to search deep within to know where we really stand. It’s amazing how much scripture Shawn Presley used in his spoken word, but the truth is needed to be heard in order to confront that which we try to shove under the carpet.

It’s amazing how much we try not to face ourselves when we say we are walking “in Christ” and yet live jaded lives thinking that God is blind to our acts of omission or commission to sin. In some cases, we Christians act engaged to Christ and yet are divorced from the Father’s love for us for the mere fact that we aren’t living for God wholly. It’s sad to have a part-time Christian faith when really God seeks a full-time marriage commitment of Faith.¬† If we are the Bride of Christ as we so claim, we must no longer portray a mistress status with our King. Let’s dig deep and pray that the Church of Jesus Christ wakes up to see its real face and not live a compromised life swaying like a pendulum with the world’s way of living and start pursuing righteousness for what it is- living in right-standing with Christ. May we confess before God for not really being what we are meant to be in His Eyes which is to be Joint-Heirs with Christ Jesus. We can’t claim to be a powerful church, if we aren’t even plugged-in to the source which is in Christ our solid Rock, our redeemer and foundation of faith. May God help us be the Church that we ought to be and may we as Christians humble ourselves before the King of kings and repent for not being what we should be before Him. Let’s re-align ourselves back to the heart of the Father and seek to live in right-standing with Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, Amen!

Enjoy the Video and God bless you Everybody!

How Far is too Far?

Hi Everybody,

It’s nearly the weekend!!! Praise God!!ūüėÄ

Today is rather a short contemplation…hmmmm…maybe more of a question. I was thinking about how people do certain things that trail along the lines of compromise.

How Far is too Far?

I think that some people first ask themselves…. “How far can I go?” , before asking the first question I posed which is “How Far is too Far?”. I think to a large extent, we don’t seem to¬†know how subtle compromise is in changing our minds about common moral standards¬† which are GODLY STANDARDS¬† that should be upheld in our conduct through our words, thoughts, actions and¬†deeds.¬† When we fail to uphold Godly standards by compromising with the truth, we open doors to¬†start believing in a lie(s).

Think about it…it’s like starting off by¬†telling a “small ‘white’ lie”¬†to yourself or another¬†until you have to back it up with many “‘black’ lies”¬†¬†(seriously,¬†do lies even have a colour?) ¬†to remain convincing, hoping that there is a shade of gray in this whole mess and then hopefully after having done that…you sell off this blatant lie as truth that it becomes soo customized that you yourself begin to believe in the¬†very lie that you have contrived and put together on your own. This is called SELF-DECEPTION.¬†I find this type of thing to be a scary activity that I have seen others participate in it¬†on a regular basis.

Choosing to remain in denial of the truth is choosing to live a lie and believe it too.

This is how people develop a SEARED CONSCIENCE.

The attitudes of those I have witnessed to have such a seared conscience are rather cold and calculating…that the mere presence of them wreaks of evil.

Like I said in an earlier post…I’ve seen a lot of evil in my day… and what I can tell you is that having seen a person acting on a seared conscience….you can tell when what governs their hearts, their minds¬†and their spirit is utter darkness throughout their conduct.

As Christians, we must be vigilant to keep our conscience clear.

Daily repentance shields us from believing that “gray areas” exist in regarding what is RIGHT and¬†WRONG¬†when the Bible is clear in its guidelines.

King David knew how to keep his conscience clear even though there were many instances where he was tempted to stray from the path of righteousness before God. King David acknowledged his weaknesses and refused to be in denial of his sinful actions especially after being reprimanded by Prophet Nathan over his sin of Adultery with Uriah’s wife Bethsheba. God loved David enough to warn him of his crime through a Prophet to give him a chance to change his ways. David took that chance and repented for his actions¬†even though he reaped some¬†of the things that he had sown because he wanted to keep remaining in right standing before God.

How many of us want to keep remaining in Right Standing with the Lord?

When we sin…we don’t offend the Bible…we offend GOD. However, not many people see it this way, even¬†those that lack the reverential Fear of God will not even blink twice when they run quickly to do evil. This is totally my opinion, you can agree or disagree with it because you are entitled to your own opinion. This is just what¬†I believe to be true.¬†

My dear friends, we must not be deceived of the subtleties of compromise. We must remain vigiliant and stand¬†up for the¬†truth for what it is, even if the truth is unpopular to someone else or even if the truth in its own way offends ourselves. We have to stand for what is right at the end of the day. We cannot afford to sear our conscience….If we do….we will end up like King Saul who didn’t think twice to run quickly to evil. He¬†even went as far as¬†seeking advice from the adversary through the use of a medium rather than seeking God for answers towards what is true which¬†indicates the repercussions for those that pursue a lifestyle that is perpetuated by believing in a lie; one quickly runs to evil for answers, seeking ‘a truth’ from an evil source which is falsehood; a lie; and an idea that is¬†contrary to the truth. When we sear our conscience…we¬† not only start believing in a lie…but we ultimately start seeking how to live and perpetuate that lie to satisfy the desires of the flesh. King Saul’s life ended tragically as his soul was darkened by hatred and blood lust fueled by his arrogance and Pride that even God rejected him from being king of Israel and had replaced him with a¬†humble-spirited young shepherd,¬†little David, who maintained a lifestyle always in pursuit of Holiness while struggling with his weaknesses. David pleased God more than Saul ever¬†did.

God abides with us in the Truth. Lies separate us from the Truth and inevitably we get separated from God if we choose to believe in a lie and nurture a contrary spirit that resists the truth and the workings of the HOLY SPIRIT, so heed this warning seriously.

Humility is key… so for those that are thinking “How far can I go?” and “How far is too far?”, I suggest that you stop thinking in this way…and start thinking “What is the right thing for me to do?”. When you contemplate on what is right…you pursue the truth and that is how we remain in right standing. Compromise¬†subtly leads us astray, but when you remember this question: ¬†What is the right thing for me to do?” you will be brought back on the right path that leaves no room for gray areas. Pursue the truth with much fear and trembling everybody and leave no room for self-deception to creep in, AMEN!

God bless you everybody!

God’s Faithfulness – “I Will Never Leave You nor Forsake You, My love”

Hi Everybody!

I hope you all are having a beautiful Fridayūüôā . It’s starting to heat up out there so please refer back to my summer survival kit on what to do to prevent heat stroke and other summer related illnesses that some people encounter during heat waves. It is important to remain hydrated so drink up an ocean of water (ok…I’m exaggerating but please drink a lot of water ok people!ūüėÄ ).

So today I want to talk about God’s faithfulness. God’s faithfulness is precious to us because He always keeps His promises. In knowing that we have a God that is NOT a man that He should lie, we must learn to walk in the same level of faith in that when He says that He will never leave us nor forsake us…we in return must never leave Him and forsake Him. We can talk about “well I’m only human…blah…blah… blah…excuse after excuse” to explain why we sometime falter in our Faith, but at the end of the day…we are not merely Human…we are Children of the Most High God. We enjoy the idea that He is forgiving, faithful, and patient…but are we???

I thought about that in regards to myself and realize that I seriously need to increase my Faith level to come to that place where I can truly say “I will never leave you nor forsake you my God”. You must be thinking….”Oh yea of little faith!!!”but again I say, “Have you walked a mile¬†in my shoes?”¬†from a previous post written about hindrances to¬†prayer. When I went through a trial that tested my loyalty and faith to God so early in my salvation, it was then that I realized that honestly it’s so easy for us to turn away given the right amount of pressure. You’ve got to ask yourself…“What will it take for you to fall away from the Lord?” It’s easy to claim to “love Him” when things are going good…but what if all of a sudden calamity strikes us…what then of our Faith? The reason why I’m writing this is so that we don’t walk around¬†in self-deception thinking that we have attained a high level of faith and that we will never encounter a time where that one decision to remain in God or forsake the Lord will be put to the test. I call such a¬†test¬†of faith to be¬†The Job Test of Faith¬†(Job 1-3) where everything¬†you hold¬†dear gets touched by the devil to test your level of love and faith for the Lord.¬† Be Sober and be viligilant, for this is no easy test…and unfortunately not everyone will pass¬†it and¬†those who claim to “love the Lord”, shall be tested. For those that¬†endure the trial and still come out praising God, I say kudos to you and God bless you because your faith can withstand such a fiery trial and it just goes to show, that if you can do it, surely we all are capable of withstanding any test. Easier said than done but it’s worth thinking about it now rather than later.

I know that I’m still being tested¬†each day and I take each test as they come. I fail some, I pass some…I also¬†get re-tested <— didn’t see that one coming now did ya. Yes people, you will be retested on failed tests.¬†When you pass the re-tests,¬† you overcome that cycle of insanity, which is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. How many of you can lift your¬†hands and understand what I’m saying?¬†Let me also¬†remind you that we should all know that our¬†lives¬†are a whole big test of Faith. We choose how we are going to pass it or fail it by deciding if we believe in God or not and by living out what we believe. I’ve had my fair share of tests and¬†I can tell you that it’s easy to break ¬†down completely and choose to stray away given the right amount of pressure, but the most amazing thing is that even in our weakness, God never chooses to forsake¬†us even though we may choose to do so. God’s love endures literally Forever. I have never met a love like that before, but¬†it is definitely a feat to learn to love¬†like¬†Jesus.

So today, think about increasing your love for God.¬†It’s one thing to learn to love people…but we must learn also how to minister to our God today by loving God and saying it everyday through our prayer life, our praise life and our worship life. As much as we seek affirmation of love and acceptance by people, God also seeks that same level of devotion to¬†Him as well, but because¬†He, like the Holy Spirit is a gentleman, He will not manipulate us or force us to love Him,¬†because¬†He has blessed us with the gift of¬†free will to¬†choose to do so. I have now gotten into the habit of saying “Good morning¬†Father God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit” and also “Good afternoon” and “Good evening” because it’s something we take¬†for granted. We say it to people all the time but do we say it to our Lord? Do you welcome His presence in your day?¬†The Lord¬†is with us in our¬†entire day and¬†its amazing how we forget Him so easily. ¬†We should not forget the Lord our God who sent His Son to save us from the slavery of Sin and redeemed us back into the Kingdom of God through His precious blood. The Lord Jesus sent us¬†The¬†Helper who is the ¬†Holy Spirit and He¬†yearns to converse with us, but are we inclined to Hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to “us” the Churches???? Let¬†us love on God today and remember that His faithfullness in us is what we must demonstrate back to Him in return. God Bless you everybody and have a blessed Weekend!

I have 2 songs by Jesus Culture called Where You Go I Go and You Won’t Relent ( I know I’ve posted this song before but I love itūüėÄ ) . I figured I’d bless y’all with sounds of worship. I pray that these songs minister to your spirit today. God bless you everybody!

Scriptures to Meditate

Heavenly versus Demonic Wisdom

Hi Everybody!

Today’s meditation comes from the book of James 3: 13-18 (NKJV)¬†regarding Heavenly versus Demonic Wisdom.¬†

Heavenly Versus Demonic Wisdom

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

The Wisdom that we receive from the Lord comes to us through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is of course the authentic voice of God that guides us and reveals the mysteries of the Bible (God’s Word)¬†by removing the scales off our eyes to understand what God is saying to us. When we seek the truth with a pure heart, we increase in divine wisdom and knowledge as we yield to the authority of the Holy Spirit. However, to every authentic thing there is always a counterfeit.¬† When you look at the passage you will also understand the workings of those that do not abide by the workings of the Holy Spirit operate by demonic wisdom which is of a contrary spirit. It makes you question, by what spirit do people follow when they do the things that they do?

The wisdom of the Holy Spirit comes from Heaven as mentioned in v.17 and the wisdom that is demonic in nature is of an earthly origin. In v.16 it tells us that where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there and the previous verse reveals that such wisdom is earthly, sensual and demonic.

When I was mediating on this I thought to myself that as intercessors it is imperative that we learn how to discern the spirit(s) of people if we are operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  True wisdom reveals that which is right and wrong and when we are unsure, the Holy Spirit is able to show us what is right and wrong by convicting our spirit man with the TRUTH. Especially in areas regarding Healing and Deliverance ministry, we must always yield to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in order to discern whether or not a person is either following the Holy Spirit or following a different/contrary spirit in order to minister to them effectively.

They only way to discern the type of spirit a person follows is by analyzing their fruit as mentioned on v. 18 where it states that  Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. In the NIV Bible the same verse  (v 18) states that: Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is Peace,  that brings about righteousness whereas that which is not of the Holy Spirit, brings about wrath and sin which is characteristically demonic in nature. The Holy Spirit is also noted to be gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and bears good fruits whereas the opposite which is of a demonic spirit is partial and full of hypocrisy if you look at v.17.

When you see the differences in the type of wisdom derived from these two types of Spirits, it is clear that we need to operate with the characteristics of that of the Holy Spirit¬† in order to bear Good Fruit. Those that operate in a self-seeking manner operate with a spirit that is contrary to the wisdom provided by the Holy Spirit and is noted to be evil in origin in v.16. Basically, it’s either we yield to the virtues of the Holy Spirit’s wisdom in order to walk in righteousness, or we heed to ungodly counsel which is of a contrary demonic¬†spirit. As Children of the Most High God, we ought to walk in the Spirit and yield to the counsel of the Holy Spirit if we want to reap a harvest of righteousness in our lives as stated in James 3:18. Let’s walk in Holiness and learn to discern the difference between these two wisdoms so that we are not so easily deceived or seduced into walking a path that is ungodly in nature consequentially causing us to sin continually, by studying the Word of God and obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit to allow the TRUTH to remain in us, AMEN. Let’s study more on the wisdom of the Holy Spirit and walk in the Spirit rather than in the Flesh.

I have a song here to minister to you from Hillsongs United  called A Beautiful Exchange. I pray that it bless you today.God Bless you Everybody!

Fear Not

Hi everybody!

I have this cool clip just to get us thinking today. If anything, we must learn to Fear God more than our inadequacies,¬†friends, family and people in general. We tend to over exalt people and our weaknesses over the knowledge of God that we are always in a battle to re-position our focus back towards God. God is the center or our world and that’s where He should remain in our hearts. We must remember Him at all times with everything that we do. Check this video today and may it bless you today Everybody!
