Catch Me Lord for there’s Nobody Greater than You

Hi Everybody!

Hope you are having an amazing weekend! Today I have a song that’s by Mary Mary called Catch Me and another song called  Nobody Greater by VaShawn. They are such an inspirational songs. They talk about how we can sometimes fall and fail but God is always there to Catch us when we fall because our God is a great forgiving God. Just like the Prodigal son was restored in the hands of his father after spending his inheritance in a life filled with foolish pleasures, he came back with a repentant heart not expecting forgiveness for his foolishness and still his father loved him and welcomed him home with open arms loving him and forgiving him even if it was undeserving. God’s love for us is the same way as this father and it is that amazing. He loves us even when we make dumb mistakes or fail to walk in His will by choosing to do things “our way or the highway” in our arrogance. God’s ways are not our ways and despite that, He is still willing to forgive us when we come back realizing that we truly need our Father’s love and guidance as he teaches us how we truly need to walk in His will so that we fulfill the call in our lives.

So today think about restoring your relationship back to the heart of the Father and seek forgiveness in areas that you have failed to please Him. God is merciful because His love and mercy endures forever (Psalm 136:3Psalm 136:2) and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-24). Allow God to catch you and embrace you back into His bosom as you seek God’s face to forgive you of your past mistakes and failures. We are all the works of God’s hands being perfected to do His will. Seek His will for your life today because there’s nobody Greater than our God, AMEN! Praise and worship Him today as you think about His Goodness in your life. Praise is your weapon and it is also your love song to sing to the Lord with thanksgiving so that blessings rain in your life, Amen. Worship Him today and everyday as you rejoice in God’s Forgiving Power in your life, AMEN! God bless you everybody and have a fantastic weekend!

Scriptures to Meditate

1 Chronicles 16:34
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

1 Chronicles 16:41
and with them Heman and Jeduthun and the rest who were chosen, who were designated by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because His mercy endures forever;

2 Chronicles 5:12-14

12 and the Levites who were the singers, all those of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, stood at the east end of the altar, clothed in white linen, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps, and with them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets— 13 indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying:

For He is good,
For His mercy endures forever,[a]

that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, 14 so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

2 Chronicles 7:3
When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the LORD, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever.”

2 Chronicles 7:6
And the priests attended to their services; the Levites also with instruments of the music of the LORD, which King David had made to praise the LORD, saying, “For His mercy endures forever,” whenever David offered praise by their ministry. The priests sounded trumpets opposite them, while all Israel stood.

2 Chronicles 20:21
And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the LORD, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the LORD, For His mercy endures forever.”

Ezra 3:11
And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the LORD: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever toward Israel.” Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

Psalm 100:5
For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

Psalm 118:4
Let those who fear the LORD now say, “His mercy endures forever.

Jeremiah 33:11
the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who will say: “Praise the LORD of hosts, For the LORD is good, For His mercy endures forever”— and of those who will bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause the captives of the land to return as at the first,’ says the LORD.

A Prayer of Repentance – Forgive Me Father for I have Weaknesses!

Nathan the Prophet confronts King David

Psalm 51

For the director of music. A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba.

1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
   and done what is evil in your sight;
so you are right in your verdict
   and justified when you judge.
5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;
  you taught me wisdom in that secret place.

7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
   wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
9 Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
   and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
   or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
   and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
   so that sinners will turn back to you.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
you who are God my Savior,
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.
15 Open my lips, Lord,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
17 My sacrifice, O God, is[b] a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart
you, God, will not despise.

18 May it please you to prosper Zion,
to build up the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous,
in burnt offerings offered whole;
then bulls will be offered on your altar.

I felt the need to point out Psalm 51 as a model for a prayer of Repentance.

King David had sent Bathsheba’s husband Uriah to the front lines to be killed while he stayed in Jerusalem so that he could take his wife (2 Samuel 11:1). Uriah died in the battle and David had committed adultery with Bathsheba. This was a serious offence against the Lord in that he had committed a heinous crime and had envied Uriah for his wife and acted on his envy by committing adultery with her (2 Samuel 11:27). The Lord sent Nathan the Prophet to rebuke and warned David of what he had done to anger the Lord to pronounce His righteous Judgment against him. David’s response to his grievous sin was a sincere and sorrowful, contrite and a broken-hearted spirit seeking forgiveness from the Lord for his grievous actions (2 Samuel 12). David was anointed and chosen by God to be King over Israel and yet he too had weaknesses in areas that sought to satisfy his flesh. He too was tempted and had succumbed to his temptations to such an extent as to plot someones death just to get what he wanted. David is no angel here but when he confessed to God, he did so with a sincere and contrite heart that moved God to forgive him as a response to David’s repentance of his actions. King or Pauper, no one is immune from temptation. It says in the word that:

Romans 3:22-24 (NKJV)

22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all[a] who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus

We can only be redeemed through Christ our Saviour, so we must confess our sins before Jesus who died for us so that we can be restored to the Love of the Father.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

God is a Father who forgives us even for the most grievous of offenses as hard as that seems to believe.

David’s act of Repentance allowed for him to be Forgiven because he still remained a Man after God’s Own Heart.

How God sees us as children

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

The song I have today is from Donnie McClurkin and it’s called Create In Me a Clean Heart. It definitely epitomizes Psalm 51. Stay Blessed today Everybody!
