In order to enlarge your territory, you must increase in knowledge of the Word, increase in wisdom and humility. If you can’t do these three simple things, you will not be able to grow. In order to grow, you need to first learn how to hear from God and not only just hear from him, […]
For some reason, this post I wrote a while ago hit me today. I’m reposting this just to refresh some of us of the fact that the anointing that is valued, is the one that gets recognized by our King Jesus. Value it and preserve the anointing that is operating in your life, Amen!
What a splendid Monday we are having. I know some people are grumbling about going to work on Monday but honestly, each day is an amazing blessing from the Lord. If you are reading this post today, then you indeed are in a blessed position. Today My focus is regarding the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins. This Parable is one I’ve read many times, but during my mediation, the Spirit of the Lord highlighted some things to me that I’d like to share with you here regarding that parable.
New King James Version (NKJV)
The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins
25 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who

Today, I want to talk about God’s business plan for your life. In order for me to talk about this, you kind of need to know what it means to have a business plan, so I’ll give you an example from the Business World.
In my workplace, I assist a VP and a group of directors and managers in the process of creating a business plan for our subgroup. We drew up plans for certain strategic goals and initiatives we’d like to implement for the year and after we finalized these goals and initiatives, we drew up a financial proposal for funds required to support our groups goals and initiatives. These plans are then given to the Executive board of directors for the company who decide what goals they are willing to implement and what they are not, and they also ensure our strategic goals and initiatives fit in alignment with the overall organization’s strategic plan, goals and initiatives. On that basis, that’s when we find out what our year is going to look like and helps us to re-strategize for initiatives that are scrapped, or under-funded or under-resourced.
In the same way, God is like the head of an organization who has a Strategic plan for your life. He has a Business Plan for your life and wants you to be a part of it.
The Question is, “do you know what God’s plan is for your life?”
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
I was talking to God the other day, through prayer obviously, and the Lord gave me this idea for this post, in fact most of my blog posts are inspired by the Holy Spirit. I never write until I have a message. Anyway, so I was praying the other day and the Holy Spirit just kept bringing to my attention on the hard work it was to set up all these meetings to create my subgroups business plan before the executive committee and the Holy Spirit brought to my attention and asked me a question. He asked me, “How many of My people ask me about their business plan for their lives?” And the question really hit me, because I had to assess myself and think, how many times had I failed to bring an idea or desire before God and asked Him what He thought about it and the way I was going about it?
We have to include God in our business plan. I believe that God wants to satisfy the desires of our hearts, but how about partnering with Him by also including in our plan to satisfy the desires of Jesus’ heart. When you include God in your plan, you will surely succeed. You see, most of the time, our desires, goals and dreams don’t always line up with God’s plan for our lives and then people get disappointed when things don’t go their way. Have you ever asked God to screen and assess your business plan to see if it lines up with His vision for your life? If the answer is no, then this is the point I’m making, we need to go back to that place where we put the desires of our own hearts into God’s hand so that He can screen what is in alignment to His will for your life, and scrap out what you don’t need in your life, because sometimes, our desires are not always pure and may potentially be desires that steer you away from true success.
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.
You see, we need to understand that though God wants us to succeed, we also have to understand that our destiny is also wrapped up in Jesus. He gave you talents in order to use them to advance His cause, which is the cause of Christ Jesus to spread the gospel of hope, peace and love to a world that does not know Him.
Let me encourage you and say that God has given us all we need to be effective to minister the Word of God to a world that doesn’t know him. Some people think that they have nothing to offer if they don’t stand on the pulpit, but let me tell you right now, it’s not about standing on the pulpit. You are important and your gift and talents are what you need to use to advance God’s Business.
My gift is in writing and business administration. I’m an Executive Assistant in the Legal Profession. I currently use these gifts in the church as a Personal Assistant to my Pastors. I started blogging for myself, but have used my abilities to create a website for my church to transmit sermons for those that are unable to make it to church. I’m in charge of the social media aspects of the church with Facebook and twitter, periscope etc etc. I prepare sound check and the projector for the worship service and do a bunch of other things from skills I already use in the marketplace. I also minister in the church and preach/prophesy whenever I’m requested to speak under submission to my pastors. I’m using what I know to do to be effective in advancing the message of the gospel and so can you. I enjoy writing more than speaking, and hence I blog a lot, however, what I’m trying to say is that God has already given you the tools to be a blessing to someone else. I’m not saying that you should do what I do. I’m only doing what I know to do based on my gifts and talents. You should utilize your own gifts your own way to do the same thing. You really don’t have to over-think this folks. God needs you to join Him in His Business Plan. Will you join and partner with Jesus on this?
If you’re asking yourself “How can I be used, I don’t know what to do with my gift or talent?”, Well, what I’ll say to you is this, there is no gift or talent that is too small that it can’t be used by God to be a blessing to someone else. I’ll give you some examples. If you are a stay-at-home mom, and you love children, then you can be helpful in Children’s ministry. Teach the kids in the church how to love God and worship him. If you are a cleaner/custodian, the church needs to be cleaned and prepared for welcoming newcomers and people that need to hear the message without stepping on gum or what have you on the ground and being distracted by how the place is messy. Be a blessing and volunteer to clean the church. If you only know how to cook then, help out during special events with catering for food or join a soup kitchen and serve the poor who are hungry. If you are an architect, you can assist in expansion and provide structural consultation and advice regarding how the church building can create rooms for more activities for other ministries. If you are a financial advisor in the marketplace, you can use your skills in the church to get people in the church out of debt by volunteering your expertise. If you are a nurse, if somebody suddenly collapses in the church, you will be needed to assist that person. If you know how to play an instrument or know how to sing, join the worship team. If you are a teacher, then assist the church with bible-study classes. I could go on and on and on, but what I’m trying to say is, that everybody is relevant and God gave you these gifts and talents as a part of Jesus’ Business Plan. If you do not include Jesus in the plans for your life, just know that your plans are futile and won’t succeed.
If you want God to be helping you in your business, you have to want to be a part of helping Him in His business. You will require wise counsel and direction which also means that if you want great success in your life, you must show your business plan to the Greatest CEO of your Life, Jesus Christ.
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
Do not be disappointed with the things God strikes off on the list of your strategic plan for success. Just be aware, that His plan is still to prosper you and He knows exactly what you need and require in order to achieve your dreams, but you have to be humble, willing to work, and willing to press forward towards the goal, His WAY. Include God in the picture of your life, Amen!
To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue.
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
Plans are established by seeking advice; so if you wage war, obtain guidance.
There is a consequence for ignoring to give God the Business Plan for your life to see if it aligns with His Business Plan. You will do things in your own might and power and will do things in secret thinking you’re smart and do not need advice on how to make it. Many people expect God to follow their plans, but have no intention of being part of the overall plan that God has over their lives. Such people do not know the meaning of submission and are very rebellious. If you fail to be a part of God’s Business plan, then I can tell you right now, you will live a very difficult life and will lose everything you think you’ve worked hard for within a blink of an eye if you assume that Your Ways are better than God’s ways. I guarantee that.
The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.
Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the Lord, who do their work in darkness and think, “Who sees us? Who will know?”
[ Woe to the Obstinate Nation ] “Woe to the obstinate children,” declares the Lord, “to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin;
When you partner with Jesus as the CEO of your life, you will be successful in every area. Do not be obstinate and incorrigible about how you want to do life. Learn to seek God in EVERYTHING that you do. You need Him to screen your dreams, plans and desires to ensure that they line up with His Jeremiah 29:11 strategic plan for your life. If you want to have no part in the overall spreading the gospel of Truth part of that plan, then you have automatically shut God out of your plan. You must understand that your life is so much more than waking up, going to work, making money, eating and sleeping and waking up the next day to do that all over again. There is a generation dying to know that they have a purpose in their life and need direction, but how can they receive direction if no one wants to follow God’s business plan?
But the noble make noble plans, and by noble deeds they stand.
In order to align to God’s Business Plan for your life, you need to know His Word. This isn’t an option, it’s a requirement to satisfy the conditions of success, and I mean Godly success.
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Remember, our ways are not His ways, so let us partner with Jesus and get on the same page and join in on committing to God’s Business Plan for our lives, Amen!😀
Here is a song by Bethel’s Steffany Frizzell-Gretzinger called Closer. I pray that this song ministers to your spirit today. God bless you everybody!😀
I pray that your Weekend is going pretty well.
We had a brother in the church that lost a newborn baby and just came back from Africa from burying the baby.😦 We as a church pulled together to minister to his spirit by loving on this individual because it’s so important to have support when you’re going through that time of grief. I know I needed it when I was going through the grief of losing my grandmother who was someone very important to me. I pray that he and his wife will pull through this together and that God will restore joy back to them and bless them with many more children in the future. I found out later on after service by my Pastor, that the brother was so moved by the love displayed by the members of the church that he made a decision today that he wants to serve. To me, that is worth a praise and a shout to God. It’s amazing what the love of God can do for someone. If it causes a person to move into destiny, then I’m all about that. No manipulation involved, just pure and genuine unconditional love is enough to move a person and shift their destiny, Amen!😀
That’s what it means to be the Church people of God. We build each other up by supporting each other, growing with each other, edifying each other and training each other to keep moving forward to the upward call of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
So today I want to continue on this whole thing about INTEGRITY. For those of you following along, please refer back to my previous posts, the Transition to Elevation post and the It’s PA time with God, How did you measure up? post.
It is so important to assess the condition of your heart when seeking elevation, promotion and going up somewhere that you’ve never been to before. God always looks at our hearts to determine if we are ready for the next level. If you’re not prepared, God won’t bring you to something or someone that you aren’t prepared for. People want to experience high levels and high heights, but are spiritually, intellectually and/or emotionally immature to handle the responsibility of the next level. I can tell you right now that if you harbor any jealousy, bitterness, pride and arrogance towards your fellow brother or sister, be it family, friends, co-workers or peers who are getting blessed, then you’re heading down a dangerous path of destruction.
What is INTEGRITY?
The dictionary defines it as:
- adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.
- the state of being whole, entire, or undiminished.
- a sound, unimpaired, or perfect condition.
The Bible also has a few things to say about integrity:
Let me be weighed on honest scales, That God may know my integrity.
The Lord shall judge the peoples; Judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, And according to my integrity within me.
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You.
So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.
It is so important to walk in integrity with your heart because if you don’t, you will walk in a place filled with many dangers. Those that lack integrity live a perverse life and are drawn to wickedness, are boastful and have a lying tongue. They will delight in the ways of evil and not good, and such people will corrupt your heart and will lie with their lips. They walk in the counsel of the ungodly and find themselves bound up by their own devices. Notice how I said “They will be bound up by their own devices” and not necessarily the devices of the enemy because all the devil has to do is dangle something in front of such a person and they’ll run quickly to evil and will get caught up in a snare. My message to you is to please not become such a person. Such a person will have a seared conscience (1 Timothy 4:2) and will not maintain any standard that has to do with Godly moral principles.
He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known.
The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.
It is better to hold onto Integrity, because it is founded on a person choosing to maintain a Godly moral standard way of living. Those that have integrity will be blessed in everything that they do and will receive promotion, elevation and much much more.
The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.
Integrity is also founded on TRUST. Can God trust you with His business? If God can’t trust you with little, why is it that we expect to receive so much from God as if we are entitled to every blessing from the Lord? What have you given God lately? Have you given Him your time, your attention, your love? We really need to get away from simply demanding stuff from God and really start focusing on building a closer relationship with Him by pursuing the HEART of the FATHER. Seek to understand Jesus’ Heart by being a God Chaser.
10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
INTEGRITY is what you pass on to the next generation if you are a parent/guardian/mentor/teacher/pastor/leader. If you look at Proverbs 20:7, it tells you that even the children of a righteous man who walks in integrity are blessed after him. If we need to pass on something to the next generation, let it be INTEGRITY people. Right now we live in a Godless society that wants us to compromise our beliefs and what we stand for, but God is seeking a people to stand for what is right, to stand up for what is good and to stand up for our Lord Jesus Christ. We can’t be closet Christians. Our life should scream “I’m a believer of Christ Jesus”, but do you want to know the reason why some people aren’t obvious in their Christianity? It is because some people are “Christians” in name only, but not in conduct. We cannot afford to be this way.
I remember sharing this story with my church the other day because right now we’re dealing with a series that my Pastor has been talking about called “God, Money and You”. You can check out those sermons on our church website livingproofcentre.org . So a while back my parents were friends with this guy that they went to school with in the UK. My parents moved to Canada and this friend followed, but he ended up living in Vancouver since we lived in Ontario. He had just gotten married a few years after that and apparently the woman that he married was quite wealthy so when he visited us and my parents in Ontario a few months after getting married, he came and showed off his golf clubs and made fun of my parents and their house and was quite disrespectful to them and to me with his show of arrogance and pride asserting that “he’d made it”.
Frankly speaking, I didn’t care and was very annoyed to serve this guy with hospitality because if it were me, I’d show you the door and won’t think twice on it if you think you can just disrespect me and my family in my own house, however, my parents were more gracious than I was at the time and entertained this so-called “friend” until he left to go back to Vancouver. I honestly was like good riddance…I mean really people, really!😦 Oh Minister Sherline, you shouldn’t say that…yes, I’m saying that because I’m being real here.
My parents could not believe this supposed “bible-believing” friend that they went to school with together could change so much. My question was, did you really know the man? The man was obviously in love with money and you know what the Bible says about the love of money? It is the root of all evil. Don’t get me wrong, money in and of itself is not bad, but its the way in which one pursues it that matters. Do you pursue it with just means, or are you unjust in your methods of pursuing wealth? All these things matter people.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
A few months pass by and it became apparent that this friend no longer wanted to have anything to do with my parents because he was a “high-roller” now and why would he need to hang out with those below his so-called status? Let me just say that our standards are never God’s standards if we act with a haughty spirit filled with pride and arrogance. Anyways, a few months down the road we read about that brother in the newspaper. He had stolen over $450K from the Children’s hospital and wrote out over 75 fraudulent cheques. As a consequence, the man was put under house arrest for 2 years and we also heard that the government of Canada had placed a ban from him from ever traveling to the USA for life, he was stripped of his accountancy designation that he worked so hard alongside my stepdad to obtain in the UK, I mean, the man was simply destroyed. In the papers they quote this about him:
“”It’s the scarlet letter that you wear,” [An Official] said. “’He’s the guy that stole the money from the Children’s Hospital.’ That’s how he’ll be remembered.”
We as a family were shocked about this brother’s demise. I mean, the whole thing is sad, but this is what happens when people lack INTEGRITY to maintain Godly standards in their character and conduct. This is what happens when you don’t preserve your integrity. You compromise and do things your way because you don’t want to listen to God anymore, you want to take things into your own hands and feel like you don’t need to answer to anybody and refuse to submit to Godly and wise counsel. You will be operating in a place of mediocrity and will end up with a life that is mediocre. When you lead yourself astray, the devil uses you as his playground to get you to a place where you are bound up, isolated and can’t move. That is called BONDAGE folks.
The truth is, there is redemption and there is grace, however, the road is much harder to walk on because you have to guide yourself back to the right path by first seeking the Father’s heart through REPENTANCE. Don’t ever take God’s grace in your life for granted, because one of these days, that grace period will run out and it’ll be too late. If your heart is far from the Father, you are walking on a perilous road. Stop trying to exalt yourself when humility is the path that you should walk in in order to preserve your life and your future. I’ve lived a life serving dignitaries at a government level and can tell you, I’ve seen the worst in government and I’ve seen amazing people at the same time. How you climb up in promotion MATTERS, because if you ever fall, you’ll have to wonder if there will be anybody below to catch you when you fall. How you treat people MATTERS, because if you treat people with disdain, you will have no true support to help you when you’re down. Treat people in the way you would like to be treated, Amen!
6 Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded, 7 in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,[a] 8 sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.
Here is a song from Elevation Worship called Grace Like a Wave. I pray that it ministers to someone’s spirit today as we meditate of the Grace of God and how we shouldn’t take that grace for granted in our lives. Let’s learn to walk in right-standing, Amen! God bless you everybody!😀
You must be wondering “what’s up with the title today Sherline?” What does PA mean or stand for? For those of you who “work”, you know that this is the time of the year for Year-End reviews for Performance Appraisals. That’s what PA stands for, Performance Appraisal.
So I got around to thinking, we work hard to prove why some of us are eligible for a promotion, a step up the ladder if you will, or a bonus and we create a list of things we’ve done throughout the year to prove that we have done all we can to move to the next level to upgrade our situation. At the same time though, there will be people in this mix that have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING to warrant a promotion, and yet with a self-entitled attitude, they’ll expect to move ahead with the “nothing” that they’ve had to offer. In some workplaces, you will see people unfairly passed on for promotions even though they’ve done the work to be rewarded for it and still have a bunch of lazy ones moving ahead simply because of “who they know” (Nepotism) and yet, when they land in such positions, their attitudes haven’t changed and they still continue with the bad behaviour they had in the previous role and are a train-wreck in the workplace. If you can relate to this, put one hand up somebody.😦
So let’s take a look at this with our own walk with God. I personally look at myself right now and cannot lie and say that I don’t need improvement. Yes, I’m in ministry, I have done outreach, organized events etc etc, but apart from these “activities”, I think God looks at us with a different set of evaluations and criteria.
GOD is ALWAYS looking at the HEART.
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees;[a] for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
When you look at Saul the “people pleaser” and David the “God chaser”, you can assess why God made and promoted David a simple shepherd boy to become King over Israel. In the workplace you may find those around you that kiss other people’s derrière (butt) just to move ahead and think that’s ok, but really, under God’s standards, that “people pleasing” behaviour is one that I do not believe God appreciates nor condones. When you simply do the right thing, that should be enough to reward you and elevate you, but that comes with the attitude of gratitude, patience and humility. Please refer back to my Humility will Promote You in your Destiny post.
And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
[ The Humbled and Exalted Christ ] Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
I cannot stress how HUMILITY is key for the sake of promotion. I know a lot of unfair things can happen in the workplace or even in ministry, or in life for that matter, but at the same time, you must maintain your INTEGRITY. My grandparents and parents always say this to me and my sisters and I will repeat this to my own kids (some day when I have them) and you my readers that “Do things as if you are doing them unto the Lord”. Don’t try to exalt yourself before men by being a “people pleaser”. You will operate as a person with NO STANDARDS. You will be wishy-washy wavering between TWO OPINIONS (1 Kings 18:21). And you know what the double-minded man is like in the Bible? It says that a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. Do you want to be like that? I don’t think so. When you act in humility, you will always operate with the mind of Christ. You must always remember that.
Therefore, assess yourself by GOD’s STANDARDS. I’m not talking about just in ministry, or in the workplace, but in every area of your life. Be honest with yourself. If you had to rate yourself between 1-10, where would you really sit? As much as some of us prepare for our elevation speeches during our PA discussions with our bosses, you must prepare yourself before God. I will speak for myself and say that even though I’ve grown spiritually with some of my giftings, God is always looking at my heart. Do I love His people enough? I feel that I need improvement in this area. It doesn’t matter how many people I’ve ministered too, the question is always on the basis of God’s perspective, not my own perspective of the matter. I always have to rate myself in the Love-meter of God’s evaluation. If in God’s eyes, I can do better, then I myself, must do better and not be satisfied with my current status-quo.
I CAUTION YOU: Do not be deceived by people’s flattery of your achievements, if God sees that you’re not on the right path, then no amount of compliments from people can change God’s evaluation of YOU at that point. So always, measure yourself through God’s lenses, and not simply rely on other people’s opinion of how good you are right about now. Otherwise, you’ll end up like Saul puffed up with PRIDE and ready for God’s DEMOTION. I don’t think you want that now do you? Remain humble at all times.
How many people know that in the workplace, it doesn’t matter how skilled you are sometimes even though having skills is important, employers prize those with “soft-skills” which are referred to as “people skills” and “relationship-building” skills. If in the world those skills are important and are enough to promote people at times, then the same applies with God. How do you treat His people? Are you a relationship builder or a self-interested individual looking to climb over others just to move ahead in life? Be very honest with yourself and do some serious self-inventory of your life.
The mistakes some people make when they go for PA evaluations with their bosses is that they do not assess themselves at all. Some people even think that they have nothing to improve upon because they’re comfortable with the bare minimum and wonder why they are passed on for promotions. God is the same. He is always evaluating our performance everyday of our lives. He assess us through our hearts. If you have bitterness issues, then make it a point to work on that this year, if you’ve got self-esteem issues, then work on that this year, if you lack knowledge in a certain area, then upgrade yourself and go to school, read up on stuff, find out what you need to know and seek out resources that have the answers you need in order to become fully effective. If you are jealous of your brother or sister who is moving up, then you’ve got to get that checked out pronto. God will not deal with a jealous-spirited person kindly. I’m just being real with you on that one.
NO ONE, and I mean absolutely NO ONE can do all these necessary self-assessments for you, except YOU. So if you’re upset as to why certain things haven’t happened in your life, then you’ve got to realize that you need to do something different, otherwise you’ll be stuck in a cycle of insanity. Understand, that when you start your own self-evaluations, talk to the Holy Spirit. He has a way of being brutally honest with you and will convict you of areas that require improvement. I tend to fast and pray when I need to hear from the Holy Spirit and I totally recommend it if you need to hear clearly as to what it is that you need to do differently in order to see positive results occur in your life.
Understand, that with your limited level of understanding, you simply don’t have all the answers to move forward, so go to God who has all the answers, Amen! Don’t worry about where you are right now, just understand that when you start chasing God, like David did, He will accelerate somethings in your life that should’ve taken years to happen, but you have to remain humble until that time. Also, be aware that with promotion comes responsibility. Are you up for the task??? Seriously assess and ask yourself these questions before hounding God about wanting a promotion. God’s method can be so out of this world and mind-blowing that if He can turn a simple shepherd-boy (David) into a King overnight, then what say you about YOU? It’s okay to seek wise counsel as well, but at the end of the day, you need to be very God-reliant and humble enough to seek God’s advice for yourself so that He can direct your path, Amen!😀
So my main message is, be a “GOD CHASER” for your PA review with GOD. Don’t be a “people pleaser” before God, because I guarantee that if that’s they way you’ve been doing life right about now, you will be demoted just like King Saul was…and his ending was quite tragic…I just want you to be aware of the ramifications of that behaviour. Be a GOD CHASER people. That’s my goal in life and I pray that that’s yours too.
I have a song from Elevation Worship that’s been in my spirit called Here as in Heaven. I pray that this song ministers to your spirit today. God Bless you everybody!😀
I’m just posting a song today sung by Bonnie Deuschle & Celebration Choir called God is in this Place. I love this song since the choir sings in my Zimbabwean Language “Shona” when they say “Mwari vari pano” which translates to “God is Here”. There’s just something about African praise. I love the drums and so songs with a drum beat make me feel like I can hear the heart-beat of God.
How many of us just need to know that God is in this place? When we worship, He inhabits in our praise. Can you imagine that you invite the presence of the Holy Spirit simply by just worshiping Him with your mouth or instrument of praise?
King James 2000 Bible
But you are holy, O you that inhabit the praises of Israel.
God is Here when we lift our hands, when we give Him praise. Let us go back to the heart of worship. Worship brings about intimacy and connection with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. That’s why I love the song I posted in my previous post called Heart like Heaven by Hillsongs United. The beat in that song just makes me feel like I can hear God’s heart thumping. There is no measure that knows God’s worth in our lives. God is AWESOME!😀
I don’t know about you, but I cannot do without the presence of God in my life. I draw away from people that suffocate or grieve the Holy Spirit when they’re around me. My spirit is so sensitive that sometimes I cringe at the sound of discord. I’m not talking about someone singing the wrong note (because that can happen), I’m talking about the heart/spirit of the person singing is out of order. If you sing from a place of anger…I cringe. If you sing with arrogance, I cringe. But when someone sings at that place where there’s pure adoration and love in that person’s heart, I rejoice. You can’t pretend worship. It’s either you have a heart that seeks to worship God in Spirit and in Truth, or you’re just a clanging cymbal wanting others to hear you out because you think you’re all that and much more. I just love basking in worship mode. Like I said, I usually get my answers when I’m in that place. God reveals Himself to me in and through Worship. If you want to get closer to God, then seek Him with all your heart. When you seek Him, you will find Him.
So I came out to meet you, Diligently to seek your face, And I have found you.
I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.
22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
I pray that this song blesses your spirit today. God bless you everybody!😀
I’ve just come back from vacation and feel rejuvenated.😀 I’m in the mood for worship so for those in Canada Happy Family Day y’all! I didn’t expect to come back to -25 degrees…but I’ll praise God anyway. I praise God I’m African and can still enjoy traveling between two hemispheres to have two summers per year. Don’t hate lol😀
Here are some songs to bless your spirit today that have been in my spirit all of last night.
The first one comes from Hillsongs United called Heart Like Heaven. This song has been ministering to my spirit and it’s just awesome in surround sound. Let this song minister to your spirit today.
The Next song is from for King & Country called Shoulders. Sometimes you need to know that God carries you through many challenges. You just need to lean on Him as the answer to your need. This song has been blessing my spirit. I pray that this one also blesses yours.
The Last Song I will post here today is from Newsboys singing We Believe. I just love how Michael Tait sings this song. I truly believe that this song will bless somebody today.
I know that I usually just post one song per post, but right now I don’t want to talk I just want to saturate my spirit with Praise and Worship Songs. Through my travels God has just been showing me things and ministering to my spirit as of late. I feel so light in my spirit that I just want to Praise God more. I actually have more songs I could put on here but I think I’ll keep it to three for now.
It’s so important to give time to worship God. Personally, I find my gift in the prophetic is stimulated in the presence of worship. I hear God more clearly during that time and so I fill my spirit with songs that give honor and praise to God. This is how I meditate. I shut out the noise of my life and sit in His Presence. Fill your spirit with worship and you’ll see things clearly in that presence. Don’t allow distractions. I remember being in a church where I just wanted to sit in the presence of worship and then a sister so and so or brother so and so would just distract me because they want my attention…I would feel really upset about it because “seriously, can’t you see I’m in a different place right now????” well…you get that from some “church people”…forgive them anyway… *sigh*.
The point is, in the presence of Worship, God is there. You need answers from God? Then visit Him in the place of Worship. You can worship Him in your living room, in the church or at work. In fact you can worship Him anywhere. God is limitless. You just have to make time for it. Don’t make excuses, make time for God, Amen.
God bless You everybody!😀
