Almost There – Don’t Give Up!

Hello Peeps!

I just wanted to post this song by Jai called Almost There. Some of you are running a race in your life that maybe long winded, with winding roads, bumps along the way, where you may even pass through roads that give you diversions that may cause your GPS (Godly-Positioning-System) to re-calibrate just to get you moving to where it is you want to go, etc. This road that you are traveling on is called LIFE. Life has a tendency of providing you with many obstacles and hurdles that you’ll have to learn to jump over, sink or swim. Those that endure to the end are the ones that get the prize, so don’t look at those that are competing with you to your left or to your right in your life. Focus on what’s ahead of you as your prize.

The race is not for the swift or the strong, it is for those who are able to endure to the end, so don’t be distracted and focus on where you ought to be going.

Horses with Blinders in a Horse Race: They can only focus on what’s ahead of them and not at what’s to their “left” or to their “right”. This is how we ought to be moving in our lives. Living without distractions that steer us away from where we ought to go. And that would be to fulfilling our God-Given Purpose in Life — whatever that might be.

See the source imageIs it a wonder why in a horse racing track, horses are placed with blinders that are on their heads so that they don’t get distracted by what’s to their left or right sides? All they have to focus on is looking straight ahead and focus on what’s ahead of them as their goal. Unfortunately, we as people, don’t have such physical blinders in our lives to keep us focused on the goal ahead of us because we can see everything that’s around us that can keep us distracted, and that’s why it takes discipline to remain focused on what you need to do rather than looking at what is around you diverting your attention from your God-given purpose and goal to succeed in life.

  • Do what the Lord has put in your heart to do and don’t focus so much on where you currently are right now in life in comparison to others.

That’s just a distraction for you to get sidetracked into a “poor-me” and “woe-is-me” attitude if you sit alongside the bench of comparisons.

  • Do not be a copy-cat and recognize that you were born to be original.
  • Do not focus on your supposed “limitations” and focus on your God-given possibilities and abilities.

Matthew 19:26

But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”

When you focus on, and accept your uniqueness, you will be effective in maximizing  your God-given talents and abilities to do extraordinary things, including, things that haven’t been done before! I won’t like and will tell you that:

  • You may encounter set-backs, draw-backs, hindrances to your progress, but if God is for you, no one and nothing can stop you, so keep moving forward without excuses.
  • The Road to endurance is no easy road to travel on, but we can all persevere if we maintain our focus towards the goal – which is to SUCCEED.
  • Appreciate the naysayers, critics and doubters that you encounter in your journey of life. Encountering them just means that they haven’t seen nothing yet, so Carry On my friends! 🙂

Romans 8:31-39 [Full Chapter]

God’s Everlasting Love ] What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. …

See the source imageI remember how it took me 2 years to recover my memory loss issue from the sickness I endured (Encephalitis – a viral infection in the brain that causes short-term memory loss). The road to recovery was a grueling test of endurance, patience, and a major attitude adjustment for me to realize that grumbling about the process wouldn’t change anything.

The only thing I could change was my attitude.

I lost my previous job in the process of my recovery, but God gave me a new one just in time. So what I learned from all this was that circumstances maybe thrust on you in an unexpected way, but it’s our attitude at the end of it all that will determine how you will endure. No one want’s to experience setbacks, pain and hardships; however, as Christians, we have to know that such things will happen in our lives to test our overall Characters.

John 16:33 [Full Chapter]

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

You will only know who you are on the basis of how you endure each trial that you face. So we shouldn’t marvel at those that are seemingly ahead of us right now… because you don’t know what they had to endure in order to get to where they are right now. There’s not point in being jealous of another person’s success if we can’t even maintain the character required to enjoy the rewards that come after enduring the pain to achieving success. Let us be humble and remember to include God in all of the plans you have in your life, Amen!

Overall, my main message is: “DO NOT GIVE UP!” because you’re so close to success that you can almost taste it so DO NOT GIVE UP! You’re ALMOST THERE! AMEN! 🙂 I pray that this song blesses your spirit today. God Bless You Everybody! 🙂
