Psalm 23 (I Am Not Alone)

Hello Peeps!

Happy Sunday! I just had to post this awesome song by People & Songs Feat. Josh Sherman called Psalm 23 (I Am Not Alone).

This song comes from David’s Song of songs (Psalm) found in the NIV version of:

Psalm 23

Related imageA psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
    all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.

Whenever you are faced with a trial or circumstance that may appear to be dire to you, this is when as Christians, we need to learn to lean on the Lord even more for His Help, His Guidance, and His Comfort. Sometimes when we are distracted with the going’s ons of life, we tend to forget God as we start to progress in life. It is a great thing to prosper, because God does want us to be in good health and prosper as our soul prospers as is written in the following verse of Scripture:

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

However, our soul can only prosper if we are aligned to God’s will for our lives. In all the things that God blesses us with, we must never forget who our Redeemer is. Our Redeemer is Jesus Christ and as Christians, we must always remember that our lives were purchased at a heavy price that Christ paid in full through His blood so that we could live victorious lives in the knowledge of who and whose we are in Christ Jesus. Your soul is your heart and mind and whatever you think in your heart becomes your ultimate reality. So it is important to guard our hearts above all else so that we can meditate on things that are lovely, worthy of note, and of good report.

Proverbs 23:7 [Full Chapter]

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.

Meditate on These Things ] Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Remember to put on the whole armor of God in your prayer life each day and surrender to God’s will for your life each day. Sometimes I often wonder if I’m heading in the right direction in my own life, but when I pray, God always brings clarity to my situation and shows me through various signs and wonders that I’m heading in the right direction.

Sometimes, the way God directs us in the right direction for our destinies, He chooses to shut down the wrong relationships, jobs, places and associations we once had that we thought were good for us and then He starts to open up doors to the least likely of opportunities to connect with people we never thought we’d have access too. The question is, are you humble enough to allow God to shut the wrong doors in your life without complaint and for Him to guide you to the right places that will lead to the divine connections you need to align yourself to for your future?

This is a question that the Holy Spirit posed to me and now I pose the same question back to all you readers of my blog. Are you ready for God to take you to places that you never thought you’d have access too? Are you ready for the NEW things He wants you to embark upon? Are you willing to transform your life by walking by faith and not by what you are so accustomed to seeing with your very own eyes? Ask yourselves these questions today. I have posted this song to encourage you today as you meditate on where you find yourself in your relationship with God. How much do you trust God to direct your path? Ask yourself these questions today and enjoy this song. God Bless You Everybody! 🙂
