Waiting on God’s Promises – Divine Timing

Hello Peeps,

Today, I just wanted to post a short clip to encourage you about Waiting on God’s Promises. Waiting on God’s promises in your life can be difficult when you are discouraged by looking at others who seem to be moving ahead of you in life in terms of job promotions, their marital status’, the fact that some have children and you don’t, the big houses others may have bought, the cars they own and the clothes they wear, etc etc… We as human beings can be self-critical when we compare our lives with those of others and venture into a realm of either self-pity land, despair and/or bitterness, if we start to covet or be jealous of what our neighbor has in comparison to ourselves.

We must remember, that what God has ordained to happen in your life must come at the “right-timing”. Just because you aren’t where you’d like to be in your life right now doesn’t mean that God has forgotten you and that He doesn’t have a divine purpose and plan for your life. The blessings that God has in store for you maybe delayed…but that doesn’t mean that the blessing He has for you is denied.

• It took Sarah 90 years until she gave birth to Isaac (her child of promise) (Genesis 17:17);
• Jesus, Our Saviour, was only 30 years old when He first started His ministry (Luke 3:23) in the New Testament;
• Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83 years old when they both came to speak to Pharaoh during the time that the Lord wanted the Children of Israel to be set free from the captivity of the Egyptians (Exodus 7:7);
• It took 40 years for the Children of Israel to wonder around in the desert in a circle before reaching the promised land (Deuteronomy 8:2);
• David was 30 years old when He became King and ruled for 40 years (2 Samuel 5:4);
• King Joash repaired the temple in 2 Kings 12 and became a King at only 7 years of age (2 Kings 11:21); and the list goes on and on…

Why am I giving you all these examples in the first place? It just goes to show you that age has nothing to do with whether or not you will fulfill your destiny by man’s standards. If Joash could become a king at the age of 7, and Moses didn’t become a deliverer for the Children of Israel until he approached Pharaoh at the age of 80, and Jesus, the King of kings didn’t start His ministry until the age of 30, then this just goes to show you that age is nothing but a number and has no bearing on how and when God will use you to fulfill your destiny. Even Sarah was 90 years of age when she birthed the child of promise, Issac; so just understand that when it comes to your own ministry and your own destiny, when it comes to whenever God wants to promote you, or get married, or give birth to a child, or even to birth a business or an idea, etc etc… everything is done perfectly in God’s timing. You just have to believe that God is never late and that He’s always on time. What seems like a thousand years to us, is a day unto God, and what may seem like a day to us…maybe a thousand years to God.

It’s all a matter of perspective. So today, as you watch this short clip that I’ve posted down below, just remember, that God knows what He’s doing, so just continue to Trust in God’s divine timing for everything that you desire in your life. Remember this African proverb in reflection of this today:

A Blessing Delayed is not a Blessing Denied.
