Another Crazy Story – Story 2

Hello Peeps!

Well, it seems I haven’t done much with the “Wanna Hear A Crazy Story?” section of my blog, so at the lovely request of Dulcinea from Hodgepodge 4 the Soul , I will write another story just for her.

When my little sister Steph was born, she was and still is a bundle of joy and energy. I remember one time when my Twin and I were going to pick her up from pre-school and I think at that time she was aged 3 or 4 years of age. I really can’t remember how old she was at the time, but I do know for sure that she was definitely less than 5 years of age and she just loved running around a lot; and I mean, a lot! So, we went to pick her up. Usually, we put her in a stroller, but sometimes we make her walk just to make her tired because she had a habit of staying up for a long time before going to sleep so we thought that making her walk home would tucker this little pickinini out.

This little pickinini was crazy fast and shocked me because she completely caught me off guard. Usually, I hold her hand when we walk home and sometimes she likes to walk freely so on this occasion she wanted to be free to walk on her own and so I let go of her hand. The moment she did that she started running down the side walk saying “Catch me!!!!” and I was like “What the heck!!!!!?????!!!”.

We saw a car coming in her direction and she simply didn’t see it coming. I started to sprint like my life depended on it, but the thing is, Stephy was friggin’ fast that I knew I wouldn’t make it in time to stop her from running across the road and then probably getting hit by that car. My heart was pounding really fast in sheer panic mode because I didn’t want to witness a tragic accident before my eyes. I could see my mom blaming me for not protecting her and I just freaked the hell out and cried out in a loud voice to the Lord: “Lord, Please cause my little sister Stephy to fall right NOW!!!!!”.

OMG!!!!!!!!!

You cannot understand the feeling of sheer relief and anxiety that I felt as my little baby sister cried on the ground after tripping over something she couldn’t see. She just scraped her hands a bit on the sidewalk. She could have died had not that miraculous sandaled-foot extended itself out of nowhere, tripping her at that right moment in time. I believe that the Lord had sent an angel right then and there at the right time to save my sister from being hit by a car as I cried out to the Lord at that panicked moment of time. My parents aren’t aware that this had happened because even though it was a miracle that the Lord preserved my little sister’s life, I was kind of traumatized to speak about it. My heart pounds even now just simply remembering that incident. All I can say is that I cried out to the Lord and He answered me in a miraculous way and I am forever grateful to God to this day. He is just soooooo amazing! If we can believe God for even the smallest and trivial of things, He is sure to be faithful enough to perform the miraculous in our lives if we just simply seek His face no matter what. I truly believe that!

I am reminded of these pieces of scripture when I look back on this incident:

In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry entered His ears.

Then they cried out to the Lord in their troubleAnd He saved them out of their distresses.

Then they cried out to the Lord in their troubleAnd He saved them out of their distresses.

I cried out to You, O Lord: I said, “You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.

I really believe that with all my heart when I consider the times the Lord has saved me from dangerous situations. I think God is simply amazing and we should never underestimate the supernatural workings of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is literally able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we could ever ask or think or imagine. We just need to apply our faith even in the most dire of circumstances and God will perform His wonders, Amen! Well I pray that this story will bless someone today. God Bless You Everybody! 😀

Ephesians 3:20-21 [Full Chapter]

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

In light of the post today, I have here a song to bless your spirit today by Amanda Cook, Jeremy Riddle & Stephanie Greztinger called What If We Believed It (Spontaneous).

    • God always amazes me concerning His saving grace. He is a merciful and powerful God. I give Him the highest praise for preserving the life of my little sister. I agree with you in that I do think the Lord has a purpose for my little sister and that is why she was saved. 😀
