Calling Forth Things as Though they Were

Day 10 of 21 Daniel Fast –  Today’s contemplation is about calling forth things that didn’t exist in your life before as though they do now. Faith must take us to that place where we no longer rely on our physical senses to walk by sight and allow us to tap into the Spiritual realm for our Blessings as we walk by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7). If Jesus could talk to a fig tree and remove the blessing of Life out of it causing the fig tree to die, then we also have the ability to speak life into our situations and speak death into things that need to stop tormenting us or giving us pain. We can seek God to make our sicknesses flee and call forth healing, we can drive away darkness and call forth victory in our circumstances, but this is all dependent on your level of FAITH.

I am still learning what it means to increase it day by day so today’s encouragement is about speaking Life into your current circumstances. God gave us authority over all things in the Earth in the very beginning of Adam and Eve and we have to learn to work with our inheritance. We have to learn how to work our Faith out. We can remain passive and allow for our spiritual gifts to remain dormant till the day we die, or we can take up our mantles of SONSHIP and exercise our GOD-given authority over our lives and COMMAND blessings into our lives.

Many a time we get distracted with what’s happening around us that we forget we have the Authority in JESUS’ NAME to call forth things and speak life or death to a thing. Let’s exercise our SONSHIP in CHRIST and Speak LIFE for blessings to come down be it household salvation, financial breakthrough, healing and deliverance, whatever your need is from GOD. Like Daniel who fasted and prayed and received his answer on the 24th day (Daniel 10:4-14), we also have to speak LIFE into our situations. If you want curses such as divorce, anger, sickness, etc to flee like the FIG tree that Jesus spoke to, command DEATH to those things that self-exalt themselves against the knowledge and the WILL of GOD in your life (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Although we have God-given authority to speak life and death to a situation, I must emphasize here that HUMILITY is key here.Divine Authority is a privilege that should not be abused under any circumstances and must be handled with SELF-CONTROL! You are given authority not to abuse but to bless and edify. Remember that when you go about your prayer life business.

Here I have 2 songs to encourage you. I couldn’t decide which one to put here so I decided…why not put both and eliminate the unnecessary indecision. They both are amazing songs to fill your day. Stay Blessed everyone!

Scriptures to Meditate

Proverbs 27:18
Whoever keeps the fig tree will eat its fruit; So he who waits on his master will be honored.

Matthew 21:19
And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away.

Matthew 21:21
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.

Mark 11:23
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Romans 4:17
(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations” ) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;

1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written: “ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Psalm 133:3
It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Proverbs 29:2
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

Matthew 8:9
For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

Luke 9:1
Sending Out the Twelve ] Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.

Luke 19:17
And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’

John 16:13
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

John 17:2
as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.

1 Corinthians 9:18
What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.

  1. My pastor always talks about this! Always! He says that if you’re not believing God for little blessings then how can you believe God for big ones. for instance, many self medicate when they have a headache, they take a pill and thats it done. But like you said we have the power to do just as Jesus did we just have to have faith that we can do it. So instead of taking a pill how about we put a hand on ourselves and do the healing in Jesus name. Of course this can be for anything but faith is definitely required! Stay blessed during your journey! You are half way there! Are you still going to services?

    • Hey Nadie,

Amen to that!Your Pastor is right on that one! Sometimes we just accept things as they are when we have the ability to change our perspective and change how we see our circumstances. We can’t remain passive in our faith when we are supposed to be active in our Faith. Like an architect who already sees a building in their imagination before the building is built, we should have vision to see better and call those things into existence into the natural.

My Pastor is in Korea right now with Apostle C.Peter Wagner, so we have phoneline prayer watches at 9pm set up until she returns. We do have Church opened up on Fridays and of course the usual Sunday Mornings. I’ll probably go to the Friday sessions depending on how things go at work. I’m enjoying the fact that I’m half way through. Thanks for your comments Nadie. Stay blessed girl! 🙂 You’ve done really well for your first time. I will continue to put posts of my Fasting meditations until the very end…well that is my aim. Hope it’s blessing people. 😀

  3. Sherline oh I love this post! What you’re talking about – the keys to the kingdom. Binding and loosing…awesome as always. It’s not enough to just have that power, but God requires us to walk in it daily. Thanks for obeying God and sharing this.

  4. I have read your site and I got some important to glimpsed concerning to my Christian life. Me too is excited each day to witness fresh revelations of GOD that He will reveal into my life. And I am so glad for His revelation to me this day that our country is now on the process of revival, as GOD is bringing back the dignity of our country and her children. As 1peter 4:16 says, \”if any man suffer as a Christian let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify GOD on this behalf.\” Yes it is true that even we are suffering from different troubles, yet GOD is our refuge. For if GOD moves in His ways, even the devil obeys. I thank GOD for this life he gives and for this country where He placed me that we were so much blessed. GOD loves us… GOD BLESS and have more blessings 🙂
