Children are Precious – Protect that which is Precious

“But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.””
– Luke 1:30-33
Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
I decided to post this after thinking about how I was born and thought that if it weren’t for my grandparents and my mother deciding to keep the pregnancy of two babies, I would cease to be here today. My story is in What is in a Name? and you’ll understand why I’m putting this up. My sister and I weren’t planned children…in fact we were children born from a rape situation. We could have ceased to exist and I wouldn’t be writing this blog right now had my mother chosen the hatred and anguish route and aborted us. Praise God for her parents that decided to support her pregnancy despite the horrifying circumstances. My sister and I are alive because my mother with the help of her parents decided to let us live.
Children are precious and I know there is a lot of broo ha ha about those that are pro-choice versus pro-life debates in the US and all around the world but I think that these debates silence the voices that go unheard which are often the voices of the innocents, the unborn children. I know that children born from a sexual assault situation face rejection from the moment that they are conceived but even Jesus was rejected by the world the moment He was conceived. King Herod decreed an unjust law to kill all the first born male children of the Jews which was a tyrannical law that many Jewish families suffered since his real agenda was to seek out to kill baby Jesus, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, SAVIOR of the World.
Abortion is very much like the Spirit of HEROD (the murdering of the “innocents” type spirit) that spares no family and leaves utter devastation as a result which is completely spiritual, emotional and physical in its level of devastation. The only thing that saved Jesus from the plot of Herod was Joseph’s dream of an angel warning him to flee with his wife Mary to Bethlehem (in obedience to GOD) and also the cooperation of Mary to conceive the child. Mothers play an important role in a child’s life beginning at conception NOT at birth. I know what I am saying seems harsh but if my mom who was raped accepted my sister and I before we were born into this world, then I truly believe that anyone who has experienced the same level of pain as her can choose not to be wrapped up in self-pity over the horrific event of it and allow their innocent children to be born.
Unborn children have a spiritual voice that cry out for the love of their mothers and fathers. Fathers like Joesph are a rare blessing in this world that want to care for a child. My own father abandoned us even after the deed and acted like we didn’t exist and yet here I am writing this post imploring women, no matter what the circumstances, please give your unborn child the gift of life, even if you can’t financially sustain them, give them up for adoption (because my mother did and my grandparents legally adopted us) and don’t opt for abortion so quickly just because of the pain you feel about having that child because you have no idea what God has put into that child. That child could bless you one day and you would never know the truth of that if you decide to snuff out their life just as the Devil wanted Herod to kill Jesus. Our salvation is a gift and our parents play an important role in our life the moment we are conceived so please women, seek therapy in such situations where you are considering abortion as the end all solution to your pain. Before deciding to perform an act that is irreversible, understand the full repercussions that this deed has against you, on a spiritual, emotional and physical level that leave you tied to regret, more pain (physical and emotional) and self-condemnation that can last a life-time or lead to suicide. Let me illustrate a personal story to put my point across.
A personal story about a girl I knew and what she went through
I remember working with a girl at a call center when I was in high school who was living with an abusive boyfriend at the time. She eventually fell pregnant and told her abusive boyfriend about it and he told her to abort the baby. When she told me this story she was busy contemplating the status of her relationship between herself and her boyfriend and felt that if anything…she didn’t like the abuse but “loved” the guy and yet wanted to keep the baby. As she spoke to me sharing this painful story, I told her flat out that the man didn’t love her and she should leave that abusive situation and have the baby. At first she heeded to the advice but later on, she went back to that abusive boyfriend and told him that she was going to leave him and have the baby on her own since he didn’t love her. Do you know what happened next? The boy begged her not to leave and told her that he “loved her” but felt that it was best to get rid of the baby since they both couldn’t afford to have “it” (this boyfriend sounds much like a King Herod sweet-talking to the wise men to me in Matthew 2:7-8). She told me his response and of course I slapped her with the truth and told her that she shouldn’t believe this crazy guys story…but she “loved” him and went back to that relationship.
Her decision: She was 2 months along and she went ahead against her own better judgment and had an abortion and soon after the deed went and told her abusive boyfriend the “good news” that she had gotten an abortion.
His response: he told her to get out of their apartment, he threw her out violently and he never wanted to see her again. As a result she was completely devastated because she really wanted to keep the baby but was convinced by her abusive boyfriend’s so-called “love”.
She confessed and told me the story and went into a grave depression. As sad as I was about her situation because I was praying for her in the background to keep the baby, I didn’t judge her for her decision and asked her to pray with me to let go of the emotional pain she was now left to endure from the shock of her actions, the rejection from her boyfriend, and the sorrow of losing that which she could have kept.
I gave her a short prayer and she was very emotional and she cried. She didn’t really believe in Christ but she knew I was a Christian and accepted my offer to minister to her in prayer and I hugged her and told her that she shouldn’t blame herself because anyone can make the same mistake. She was thankful for me being there for her during her time of need but I could see that she was indeed suffering severe emotional pain. I was 17  at the time when I encountered her so I had no experience with this and was a newb in Christ.  After that day, she refused to talk to me after all that because she was in deep regret about rejecting my initial concern and honest advice concerning the situation and was completely withdrawn from everyone to the point that she quit work. I couldn’t find her nor contact her since she was a work colleague and we had different shifts that I didn’t see her all the time but I pray…that in all this, though the deed is done…I pray that she understands that in such circumstances, that’s when you need God the most. She needs to learn to confess before God what she did and release herself from guilt, shame, anguish, the pain of rejection and the deception from her Herodic boyfriend and learn to forgive herself and let go of the blame.
Women, it doesn’t matter what circumstances lead you to deciding to have an abortion because there is no condemnation in Christ. Christ died for us so that we may live free from guilt and shame for our wrongdoing, our weaknesses, failures, mistakes,  and our sins. Don’t allow the devil to leave you feeling such a deep regret for making such decisions…Jesus wants you to have life and live it more abundantly. The devil steals your peace by leaving you to feel such regrets and self-condemning thoughts that torment you into depression that can lead to suicidal thoughts that lead to death.
John 10:10
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. [Emphasis added]
I am not writing this to condemn those that have or are deciding to have an abortion. I’m writing this post to consider that such an important decision has dire consequences that will affect you for a life-time. Your unborn child doesn’t have a voice to ask you to rescue them from the fate of being killed but you have the power to save your unborn child and at the same time save yourself from suffering the pain that accompanies having an abortion.
I am a testimony of a child saved by my mothers decision to rescue me from the fate of being killed before my own destiny. I praise God for my mother despite the hardship she experienced for saving not just one child but two since I am a twin. I don’t have to be alive to tell you this but this is from the mouth of a child that was saved at conception. Carefully consider your unborn child’s voice above any other persons that seek to condemn the innocent that has yet to be born. Don’t let the HERODs of this world kill the innocent destiny inside of you. Please allow them to live and be like Mary and let the child live.
Remember this when you consider how God loves each one of us:
Psalm 139:14
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.  [Emphasis added]
Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
[Emphasis added]

Children will bless you for the pain you have endured just as Jesus was a blessing to this already condemned world that was reversed by His life. I implore women to please reconsider your role when you become a mother and seriously understand that life doesn’t happen at birth, it happens at conception. If you decide to listen to the lies of this world that rob you of providing life to a destiny that has yet to be born, you will never know the blessing the child you robbed its life had if you snuff it out.
Read Matthew 2 and see how the concept of abortion isn’t a new thing…it’s been there since the days of old — from the time of Pharaoh in Egypt in the old testament trying to kill the first born sons of the Jews like Moses (Exodus 1:15-22) to the new testament with King Herod doing the same thing but this time it was Jesus (Matthew 2: 16-18). There is nothing new underneath the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9).

Wise Men from the East
1 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
3 When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.
5 So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet:
6‘ But you, Bethlehem, inthe land of Judah,
Are not the least among the rulers of Judah;
For out of you shall come a Ruler
Who will shepherd My people Israel.’[a]7 Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared. 8 And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.”
9 When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. 11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.
The Flight into Egypt

13 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”
14 When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, 15 and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”[b]

Massacre of the Innocents

16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men.17 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying:
18“ Avoice was heard in Ramah,
Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning,
Rachel weepingforher children,
Refusing to be comforted,
Because they are no more.”[c]

To End this Post, I have put a short story that I received from an email about a woman who already had a child but went to the doctor to seek an abortion.
A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said:’Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 year old and I’m pregnant again. I don’t want kids so close together.’So the doctor said: ‘Ok and what do you want me to do?’She said: ‘I want you to end my pregnancy, and I’m counting on your help with this.’The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: ‘I think I have a better solution for your problem. It’s less dangerous for you too.’She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request. Then he continued: ‘You see, in order for you not to have to take care of 2 babies at the same time, let’s kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we’re going to kill one of them, it doesn’t matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.’The lady was horrified and said: ‘No doctor! How terrible! It’s a crime to kill a child!”I agree’, the doctor replied. ‘But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.’The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.

He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that’s already been born and one that’s still in the womb. The crime is the same!

If you agree, please SHARE.

Together we can help save precious lives!

Love says, ‘I sacrifice myself for the good of the other person.’ Abortion says, ‘I sacrifice the other person for the good of myself.’

The Devil would rather have every woman kill off every child’s destiny through abortion because he knows that every Child is born in the image of the Lord and has the power to destroy his works against all mankind.
Scriptures to meditate on as a Last Word:
Romans 16:20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Revelation 12:17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring–those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ.

    • Thanks for the encouragement PJ. I want to write in such a way that I can minister to someone and encourage them with the Truth. Jesus LOVES everyone no matter what. That’s the message I want to bring. Bless people with Hope in this LOVE-STARVED world 🙂

      • I agree, it ought not be this way. Living in a love-starved world. Your post reminded me of matt 19:14, ” But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

They are indeed precious in God’s sight. I love the quote you put together, “Love says, ‘I sacrifice myself for the good of the other person.’ Abortion says, ‘I sacrifice the other person for the good of myself.’ Concerning the latter part, it is an element of pride more than circumstance or anything else. I also love how you mentioned that life starts during conception. I never thought of it that way before.

I also remember you talking about your sister, Sophia was it? You’re a twin, too? Nice 🙂 This post really touches me because I love working with kids and that’s why I’m involved in kid’s church. That experience, coupled with this post, has really helped me understand the true value of kids.

        Thanks again for this, Nyasha.

      • Thank you for you kind comments Tarisai.
Actually Sophia is my mother’s name, Sharon is my sister’s name. I know…the world has 2 me’s here although my double is absolutely nothing like me except her face lol :D.

That’s awesome that you minister to Kid’s in your church. They do need some male figures in their lives that should step up to the plate. Here in Canada, single families are the norm here which is so sad and it’s usually women that are left with the children. It’s a sad state of affairs. That reminds me of the post that you wanted to do about “Maning Up”, don’t know if you wrote it yet or are planning too but I would so recommend it if you plan on doing it later on.

        Stay blessed 🙂

  1. I’m with sherline do the post on Maninng up, I actually have a poem dealing with that. Just havent had the time to post it just yet. Not many men want to step up to the plate and handle there business now a days. I have met a few in my lifetime. And its a good thing you do minster to kids in the church, they need that. God Bless

  2. This post is definitely on point. I pray this really helps women that have to face these situations. You mentioned Jeremiah 1:5 a couple of times. That is one of my favorite scriptures. In that verse it says “Before you were born I sanctified you.” To sanctify something is to set apart, to mark as different or unique. When women have abortions I don’t think they realize they killing a unique individual with unique gifting that this world will never see. I’m so glad your mother did not get an abortion, because I believe you are a testament to the scripture: “All things work for the good to them that love God and them that are called according to his purpose.”

    • Thanks Brandon for your words. I am indeed touched. Yes, We are definitely set apart for His Purpose and that is why the devil works hard at destroying people’s destiny by targeting their potential. Thanks for reading and I too hope it helps women to face this situations. God Bless you. 🙂

  3. Thank you PJ and Nyasha. I have discovered a lot of things about men and how they were really made to be. To satisfy the curiosity you have just for a little bit, the world has actually put men out of their place by trying to get them to live up to a certain standard. They talk about how real men take responsibility, bear all the burdens and basically try to be superman! However that is not what God had in mind when He created men. True they should be responsible, but that’s not what makes them who they are.

I’m still learning a great deal so it will be a while until I write it. I am looking forward to it. It’s going to be deep.

  4. Very well composed essay on treasuring ALL children. You reached our hearts and souls without condemning anyone. That is not easy to do; I know you were lead by the Holy Spirit all the way through writing this. What STILL gets me is WHY women (are not just young ones, either) value a guy’s “love” more than themselves. They are way out of touch with their own God-given centers. No wonder they cannot love the unborn one. The final story about that wise-like-King-Solomon doctor was great! Thank you!

    • Thank you for your kind Comments granbee. I feel encouraged when people are ministered by the message. You are definitely right in that women should learn to treasure themselves more so that they can treasure others better, especially those with small voices (children). God bless you 🙂

    • Thanks Hun. You do bring a good point in terms of science and its justifications. In my opinion, no justification can defy the end result that a woman feels after having done the deed. Justifications don’t heal the body, justifications don’t heal emotions, justifications don’t decrease the chances of a woman being unable to conceive the next time around when they actually want a child, justifications cannot reverse the irreversible, so if people want to use justifications to “sleep well at night” and throw away their conscience all in the name of science or whatever they want to use to justify the deed, they can but it won’t erase the ramifications of making such an important decision and the effects that follow be it emotional, spiritual or physical.I would like to know what justification will cater to that? Thanks for reading and your thoughtful comment. Stay Blessed 🙂

  5. I am personally against the abortion because for me kids, babies are angels and being around with them is truly a blessing… I am so touched with this post specially now that abortion is legal in some states and country…. thank you for sharing… 🙂

  6. Im not going to say what everyone else has already said, but I do desire to comment on your knowledge of the topic. Youre truly well-informed. I cant believe just how much of this I just wasnt conscious of. Thank you for bringing much more data to this topic for me. Im genuinely grateful and genuinely impressed.

  7. Im impressed, I should say. Really rarely do I come across a blog thats both informative and entertaining, and let me tell you, youve hit the nail on the head. Your blog is essential; the problem is something that not enough men and women are talking intelligently about. Im genuinely happy that I stumbled across this in my search for some thing relating to this problem.

  8. Hey. I basically would like to make a nice brief statement and inform you know that in fact I’ve been focusing on your personal web page for quite some time. Keep up the superb task and I am going to be browsing back again yet again fairly quickly.
