A Road Less Traveled: Paying the Price for God’s Glory to be Revealed

Hi Everybody!

For the past couple of days…actually its been a few weeks, I’ve been meditating on the Glory of God and  what it truly takes for it to be revealed.

When I think of God’s Glory, I think of people like Job who wouldn’t curse God and die like his wife wanted to (Job 2:9), I think of Joseph who had a prophetic destiny to rule over his brothers and his Father in order to save the destiny of the children of Israel Genesis 37-47), I think of Esther who took the risk to reveal the plot of Haman who wanted to kill all the Jews in the kingdom by revealing that she herself was in fact a Jew to King Ahasuerus (Esther 2-9), I think of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, the three Hebrew boys that refused to bow to any other god and were sentenced to burn in the fire only to come out unharmed since the fourth man was in there with them (Daniel 3 ), I think of David, the little shepherd boy that took down a giant Goliath with no fear arresting his heart (1 Samuel 17), I think of all the disciples that became apostles that built the Church of Jesus Christ under many threats of persecution declaring that Jesus Christ is indeed the Way the Truth and the Life (John 14:6).

When I thought about these few examples in the Bible, I feel like a tugging is in my heart as the Lord asked me, “What price are you willing to pay to see My Glory be revealed?”. What a difficult and fearful question. At the moment as I contemplate, it would be easy to take the “Christian answer” and say “Yeah, everything”, but knowing me, I’m not into rash and thoughtless answers. The Truth of the matter is, the price that I pay will never compare to that of the one our Lord Jesus Christ paid to save humanity. I know that it will cost me everything to see the Glory of God revealed and that is why I feel very afraid and yet faith beckons me to keep on walking forward and not look back.

People of God, if we want to see things we’ve never seen before in our lives become manifest, it’s going to cost us EVERYTHING. My whole mind is shaking as I’m typing about this….because I see that the road is quite treacherous….but, I know that for what I’m seeking for in this life, it’s going to bea road less traveled”.

Christ in me

Christ in you, the hope of Glory (Colossians 1:27)

Ask yourself, how much do you love your Life?

How much do you love your Money?

How much do you love your Job?

How much do you love your Education?

How much do you love your Family?

How much do you love your “Stuff”?

How much do you love your Sanity?

and finally, How much do you LOVE God?

The price one pays to see God’s Glory to be revealed is equivalent to all the things you already care for deeply. Can you be like Job, Esther, David, Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego etc? Can you be like the apostles who went through serious persecution for their Faith in Jesus Christ? Can you be like our Lord and Savior, Jesus who laid down His life for all of us that He wants to call His “friends”?

John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

We need to Love Christ soo much that He is much greater than all the other things or people that you love. The Road is not easy…in fact, I am terrified; however, I feel led to talk about this today, so consider, that God will test our love for HIM FIRST in order for us to see HIS GLORY BE REVEALED.

The Love Test is what Father Abraham went through when he was faced with sacrificing his long awaited and only son Isaac to prove His love for the Lord (Genesis 22). It was indeed a trying and probably the most painful test in his life and yet Abraham loved God enough to go through with it. God saw Abraham’s heart and a miraculous thing happened, God had made provision to spare Isaac as the sacrifice by providing a ram in the thicket to take Isaac’s place (Genesis 22:12-13). The Glory of God revealed in this situation demonstrated that our God is Jehovah Jireh – God our Provider” (Genesis 22:14). Abraham was completely sold out in mind, heart, body and soul to serve the Lord God Almighty that God’s Glory was revealed as one of Mercy, Kindness, Love and Provision for God’s Vision for Abraham’s life…and so as Christians, we too will all encounter this test in our lives very soon at some point in our journey. I call it “The Love of God Test”.

How much are you willing to sacrifice for the Love of God? christ_the_hope_of_glory

As you search deep within you as you meditate on God’s Word each day, consider that whatever you claim that you will do for the Lord shall be tested by the Lord so don’t answer rashly, don’t answer without carefully out weighing the cost, because whatever you say shall be tested. If you fear Him (reverentially), you will know that He is well able to test a person’s claim for their love of the Lord. I know that in my own life, God has always tested my words…some things I have done according to what I claim, and some things I have said thoughtlessly have also brought upon me some shame and some serious introspection. You’ve always got to be real with yourself, people. I can’t emphasize that enough.

The point is…when God asks you a question….don’t answer by way of presumption. Do not presume you will do something for God when you know in your heart that you will not do it. Instead, think long, think hard, search deep and answer truthfully and by faith once you realize the gravity and the weight of the question being asked of you. You can answer to God’s call on your life by faith even if you are trembling with fear (which is something I typically do, lol ;) ); however, the most important thing to do is to answer truthfully  before the Lord since the answer that you produce is what God will inevitably test.

Colossians 1:27

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

We cannot escape this test if you are in Christ because how else will the Glory of God be revealed?

You have Christ in you, the hope of Glory so let the Glory of God be revealed through your life, Amen!

Food for thought.

I have a song here to minister to your Spirit today sung by The Singletons called I’ll Worship you all my Days.

God bless you everybody!

Developing “Staying Power” to Remain Free

400441_450608054983330_1000003999_n5

Hi Everybody!

For the past few days during the Daniel Fast, the Lord has been speaking to me about maintaining “Staying Power”. At first I had no clue what He meant since I knew it was a business term so I had to look it up and this is what it is defined as:

stay·ing pow·er

Noun
  1. The ability to maintain an activity or commitment despite fatigue or difficulty; stamina.
  2. Long-term popularity of a product or trend: “hip-hop has a remarkable staying power”.
Synonyms
endurance – stamina – durability – hardiness – resistance

And according to investorworlds.com “Staying Power” in business terms is defined as:

The ability of a person or entity to endure for a long period of time, even through rough times or situations. “During every economic downturn, the company was able to weather the storm and remain profitable. This was a true testament to the company’s staying power.”

energizerWhy mention STAYING POWER?

Through this fast, Daniel learned an important lesson when he prayed and fasted for God to come down with the answers he sought for; He learned the true power of ENDURANCE in order to obtain his breakthrough. Many people want breakthroughs in life but have not past the test of ENDURANCE to stay the course. I have found that it’s easy to start something with much passion and enthusiasm in the beginning, but the true test is whether one can endure to the end. This is a matter of Starting and Finishing something.

Now, for Daniel he had hindrances that he did not realize he had to fight in the spiritual realm in order to receive a message of confirmation from the Lord spoken by an angel. Many people fight unseen forces and underestimate the intensity of the battle when they give up too early. According to Daniel 10:12-14, the angel revealed to him that on the very first day the Lord had answered his prayer but he had to battle the principality of Persia.

Daniel 10:12-14

12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. 14 Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.

Finish the raceIn this Fast, the Lord wants to train our spirits to practice ENDURANCE in Spiritual Warfare. Don’t give up too easily as you pray with expectancy for instruction, direction and confirmation of God’s Word in your life. As you press through do not be naive and underestimate the enemy who seeks to Kill, Steal and Destroy your Hope and Faith during this fast (John 10:10). You’ve got to fix your eyes on JESUS.

The Bible says that we cannot work by MIGHT nor by Power, but by HIS SPIRIT (Zechariah 4:6). If we want to endure during this Fast and if we want to strengthen ourselves for battle, we need to rely on the Holy Spirit to provide us guidance to maintain our STAYING POWER in the Lord. Staying Power only comes from the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT.

How does one maintain STAYING POWER to stay the course?

1. By Practicing Humility - You need to know that you need God to help you endure the tests and the trials that you may encounter this year no matter what comes your way. Also confess your sins and weaknesses to God by practicing daily repentance so that the Accuser has no room to hinder the progress of your prayers by petitioning against your soul. Recognize your mentors and respect them when they chastise you and guide you because they are the people that God plants in your life to watch out for your soul. Disrespecting them only closes doors of opportunity in your life and will definitely leave you in a vulnerable position for the enemy to attack you ruthlessly.

James 4:6
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

1 Peter 5:5
[ Submit to God, Resist the Devil ] Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.

Hebrews 12:7
If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?

2. Practice Worship DAILY - this is your battle axe weapon of warfare in this fast. Keep your mind, body, soul meditating on God’s Word so that the enemy can’t kill, steal or destroy your hope and your faith.

2 Corinthians 10:4
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

3. Being specific in your Prayer life - You need to be specific in your prayers so that you hit the target. Don’t be vague otherwise you will not receive what you truly require during this fast. The most important thing to pray for is WISDOM. It is worth far more than rubies or diamonds and this can take you a long long way.68652_317238341728647_846683213_n

2 Chronicles 1:10-12

10 Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”

11 Then God said to Solomon: “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king— 12 wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like.”

4. Meditate on the Word – Guard your spirit from UNBELIEF by abiding in the Truth that is contained in God’s Word. The Bible says that you must meditate on the Word day and night so that it does not depart from your mouth.

Joshua 1:8
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Psalm 1:2
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.

These are the things that I can think of at the moment that will help you develop Staying Power. If anybody has anything to add, feel free to comment down below.

The Lord continues to emphasize in my prayer life the importance of Humility.  Humility will take you to your destiny; Pride will kick you off the path. Let the Grace of God be with you during this 21 Day Daniel Fast because God resists the proud only because they do not believe they need God to direct their path.

Proverbs 3:5-7

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,tumblr_m37m8xen201r2ph83o1_500
And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct[a] your paths.

Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

Matthew 10:22
And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

Those that can endure during this season of prayer and fasting, whatever you are seeking from the Lord shall be saved and you will receive your reward for your endurance. Do not falter in your Christianity, do not lose hope, even if you stumble along the way, get yourself back up again and continue to run towards God with all that you’ve got! Seek God to purify your heart so that your flesh decreases and the Spirit of God increases in you.

1 Corinthians 3:14
If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.

2 Timothy 2:3
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:12
If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.

endurance1So everybody, the Staying Power of God is the ability to ENDURE through hardship and remain standing strong and firm in the Faith. This is how one also maintains their ANOINTING like the 5 wise virgins (refer back to The Bride of Christ is Anointed post) who kept a supply of fresh oil to keep their lamps burning. Do not be like the 5 foolish ones that did not prepare properly to keep their lamps burning. You need divine wisdom in order to continue the course and endure the race set before you. Keep in mind that yesterdays anointing cannot sustain you for tomorrows troubles, so it is important to always seek a fresh Word, a fresh anointing, a fresh direction through revelation to continue on the path that lays ahead of you.

The Kingdom of God shall not be shaken, so be guided by the instruction of the Holy Spirit and remain in obedience to God’s Guidance by yielding to HIS WISDOM and stay strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might (Ephesians 6:10).

You can become free from bondages and things that hindered you from progress by maintaining your Humility, practicing your worship unto God daily, being specific in your prayer life and by meditating on God’s Word day and night to fortify your SOUL.

Daniel 6:26
I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end.

21 Day Daniel Fast: Needing God’s Grace to Build Emotional Strength

bible quotes on strength (8)

Hi Everybody!

It’s been a busy New Year, more busier than I anticipated, but we are back in the mode of the 21 Day Daniel Fast. My Fast started on the 2nd of January and so far I have decided that I won’t chronicle my meditations daily as I did last year. I found that last year the fast was so intense that I found it difficult to sleep because I was in such a spiritually heightened state that I developed insomnia which I have not been able to get over since now.

David has Emotional Strength to defeat a Goliath

These days, I feel the need to just bask in solitude and will type up whenever I have the time my thoughts during the fast. So far there have been many strange things that I have been noticing as of late, but despite all that I have witnessed and experienced and still continue to witness, I can attest to the fact that God’s grace during the fast is amazing. I find that the beginning of the Fast is always the most difficult for many including myself to start; however, as time goes by it gets a little bit easier once you reach your determination level to stay the course.

I find that just by being silent and really just training my spirit to hear what the Father has to say has been a humbling experience. Although I see visions of things happening and things yet to come, there is that sense of feeling overwhelmed by the information that I’m receiving that has caused me to feel like I just need to be silent for this fast. It’s that waiting period when you are awaiting instructions and at the same time taking the time to observe that which ought to change within (yourself) in order to change throughout. I probably am not making any sense right now to others; however, what I will say is that as I sit here contemplating about God’s grace in my life, I can testify that there are times when I have taken it for granted. I think to some extent we all do. Life is seemingly so transient, but when you find the path that leads to eternity, your life never really stays the same again unless you decide to forsake the path.

From what I can see, this year is going to be dynamic and at the same time a trying year as well. I get the sense that there will be difficult tests that each person will have to go through in order to see a new side of God in their lives. Developing spiritual strength starts from developing emotional strength. The one word that hit me at the beginning of this fast that has been disturbing me for quite some time is the word “Treachery”. I’m not exactly sure why this has been on my mind as of late, but from what I understand, all I can think of is that as I have been talking about the David Generation rising this year, it is important to know how one should engage the enemy especially enemies that have a Saul-like spirit. There was a point where David had an opportunity to kill Saul because of his treacherous ways, but David did not kill him even though he may have been justified in doing so. It is so important to NOT create any room for hatred to enter into ones heart. It has a way of contaminating your spirit. This is why we need to make room for God’s grace in our lives. The Grace of God helps us to overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21).

Read about how “David Spares Saul” in 1 Samuel 24-28

TRI-10445529 - © - Helene Rogers

David Spares Saul’s Life

This is why it is important to develop emotional strength. I think for myself…this will be the area that I will be focusing on this year since I admit that I can be emotionally immature when dealing with certain kinds of people. I know that when I lived with my grandparents, I witnessed various forms of treachery that it developed in me a sense of taking justice into my own hands because I couldn’t stand to witness injustice. Thank God I never did because God doesn’t want us to do such things. He wants us to allow Him to take care of our enemies His Way, if only we just learn to TRUST HIM. This means….vengeance belongs to God and we have to step aside and let Him do His thing. That’s extreme humility and that’s what we all should develop if we want to be successful in Spiritual Warfare. We usually say things like “the Battle is not ours, it is the Lords” and yet some people take the battle into their own hands and suffer incredible losses because they refused to wait on God to take over and ensure victory. Defeat can be avoided when we yield to the power of the Holy Spirit, so for this year…people, develop emotional strength for the battles that you will face. I can sense that the war is heightening in intensity this year, so I urge all who are participating in the Fast to focus on building fortified walls of HUMILITY. God is your strength and shield, Amen!

Another thing that I want to say is that it’s one thing to be anointed, but it’s another to have the right mindset to handle the weight of it. Even so, God’s Grace is sufficient to meet the need as long as we remain humble. Humility is completely key this year. Also, from my own meditations, the one thing we must understand is that might and power won’t take us to the destination of our destinies. We can only reach our destinies through the power of the Holy Spirit. Not everyone has trained themselves to rely on the Spirit because they are too used to having faith built by their own hands, but if you want something to have “staying power”, you need to let the Holy Spirit build things His way so that whatever you try to build will not be shaken. Christ is the solid rock and He should be our foundation. So for those participating in the Daniel Fast, recognize that this Fast trains you to strengthen your Humility in order to be successful in your Spiritual Warfare. Humility takes you places…pride halts progress.

The Daniel Fast is also a form of Spiritual Warfare to receive answers and instructions from God so continue to meditate on God’s Word and keep it in your Heart when you encounter your battles this year.

I have a song to lift your Spirit up today called Grace sung by Bebe & Cece Winans. May this Song Bless your Spirit. God Bless you Everybody!

2012 Count Down to Christmas: 7 Days to Go

It’s Time for the DAVID Generation to Rise Up

davidarkfr38-2

Hi Everybody,

This is going to be a short post, but this is in my Spirit right now. It’s time for the DAVID Generation to rise up. God is seeking a generation that will specifically run after God’s heart. When you run after it, it doesn’t necessarily mean that your life is going to be easy. I mean look at David in the Bible, Saul who was a psychotic king wanted him dead because he was jealous of David and David at one time also lived in a Cave for a season while God was preparing him to become King. The Sauls will be forced to recognize the divine favor poured upon the David Generation, for this generation will worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth for He seeks such to worship Him (John 4:23).

This type of elevation and favor that was on David was on him since he was a child, because he already lived a life of consecration (refer back to my God’s No Name Brands post) and this life of consecration is what God is demanding for the DAVID generation rising.

John 4:24
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Because God is Spirit, this generation cannot afford to fake worship, neither can they worship based on their fleshy feelings or desires. There will be no room for Pride in this Generation…Humility will be their robe of righteousness. They will have to worship from deep within them through the Spirit provided that they abide in the Truth.

How does one abide in the Truth? By having faith and believing that the Word of God is true and living it out too. God will ask the DAVID Generation to do difficult things within the next year. Relationships will change and everything in their environment will change for there is a quickening in the spirit to move them into their rightful positions. They should not fear what is happening because that is the only way they will move from Glory to Glory. As my Pastor says, “No guts, no Glory”. The Glory that the Lord is pouring out in this season will land on those that can be trusted with little so they will be given much.

Luke 16:10
He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.

The DAVID Generation will walk in the Spirit and will teach others what it means to Fear the Lord. God does not want the DAVID Generation to be afraid of Spiritual warfare for He will train their Hands for war and He will walk with them wherever they go because He will be their God and they will be His People. God be praised!

Jeremiah 24:7
Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

Ezekiel 11:20
that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

Jeremiah 32:38
They shall be My people, and I will be their God;

This is what I am feeling in my spirit right now and just felt compelled to share it here on WordPress for some reason.

God bless you everybody!

Psalm 148 – Praise the LORD

Hi Everybody!

I just want to give the Lord praise today for all that He keeps doing for me and for others in my life. Here is a video to get you in the mood to worship Him today.

Sometimes when we get bogged down with work, school, family, activities, personal issues etc etc, we can forget to give the Lord praise when we focus on our problems rather than on our blessings. There is so much going on in my life right now, but I don’t want to forget the good things that the Lord has done for me. Sometimes I focus on my frustrations when I shouldn’t, but when I start to sing, or pray, or focus on what the Lord has done in the little parts of my day to make things better rather than  magnify my problems, I end up in a place where He becomes magnified and He gets all of my praise.

As a praise and  worshiper, I have come to realize that there are times when it is difficult to praise the Lord when what you are going through feels like a pit situation; A place where you feel stuck, or where you feel there is no remedy for this situation. I have even noticed that there are moments when I forget words to a song because my mind is elsewhere thinking about a problem that is triggered by a memory out of nowhere that I’ve lost my focus on what I really should be doing which is to give the Lord praise.

Why do these things happen, you ask?

These things simply happen because it’s spiritual warfare to be a War-shiper worshiper.

Worship is a lifestyle, but it’s also a spiritual weapon of warfare.

I purpose to give the Lord the highest praise and give it my all even when the going is rough sometimes. I think that when you’re able to worship the Lord even in your daily struggles, I believe that pure worship is born from these struggles as you continue to recognize the fragility of your humanity and the need of your Lord and Savior in whatever trial you face. So today, focus not on your worries, focus on giving the Lord praise. Start with saying thankyous and then move onto giving blessings and then move onto praise HIM.

God doesn’t want partial worshipers, He wants complete worshipers that will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

John 4:23
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

John 4:24
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

It doesn’t mean that you deny your circumstances or your problems, but as a worshiper you choose to not over-exalt your trial before the Lord.  Only the Lord can turn your situation around if you believe. Worship is born from Faith, so give all your faith in the One who is able to change whatever it is that you face today, Amen!

I have a song from Israel Hougton to minister to you today. It’s called Hosanna.

God bless you everybody!

The Jesus Creed

Hi Everybody!

I know that for those who are Catholic you maybe familiar with the Apostle’s Creed which says.:

I believe in God,the Father almighty,Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen

I was born Catholic and believed these words to be an awesome prayer out of all the prayers I used to do in the Catholic Church. Although I’m no longer Catholic since I now attend a non-denominational church, I still find it to be a powerful statement of faith. Today, I found a video called The Jesus Creed. As disciples of Christ it is important to see what our Lord Jesus Christ finds to be the important features of our Faith in Him. Enjoy the Video and God Bless you Everybody!

What Have I been Reading Lately?

Hi Everybody!

I know, I haven’t had much time lately for a decent devotional but I will get cracking eventually. Right now I’m reading many books of Deliverance and Healing. I just finished reading Cindy Jacobs book called Deliver Us From Evil. Let me tell you that that book is phenomenal! It is eye opening and I will definitely recommend it here for y’all to go pick it up in your Christian book store. It is one book that was mentioned in Rebecca Greenwood’s book Let Our Children Go! if you read my previous post called War- Ship We will sing songs of Deliverance.

Cindy Jacobs does in an in depth analysis of different occultic practices that are infiltrating in the subtle activities that our children are engaging themselves in presently and confronts issues with witchcraft practices subtly being introduced through movies, music , cartoons and video games. I would read it along with Rebecca’s book since it reveals a little bit more of certain things we take for granted like reading horoscopes and the like. It’s opened up my eyes and some things you may not have even considered to be occultic leads you to repent about it. For example thoughts about reincarnation…as subtle as it is, it is something like that which is what I consider to be a vain imagination that needs to be repented about if you engage is such thoughts.

2 Corinthians 10:5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

I found myself repenting over a lot of stuff since some of the things she explains were done out of ignorance. It’s worth a read and it will definitely help you to break curses that you probably have no clue are operating in your life right now if you participated in certain activities like something as innocent as playing Dungeons and Dragons or playing with a Ouija board etc. You’ll have to seek God and repent of these type of things because such things leave so much legal ground for curses to operate in ones life which can later become generational if one refuses to break the curse through repentance.  Knowledge is power people…don’t be a proverbial Hosea 4:6 -

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also will reject you from being priest for Me;
Because you have forgotten the law of your God,
I also will forget your children.

Cindy Jacobs also explains things a little more intricately in her book and of course there are more books to discover on the topic of deliverance. In fact, if you’re serious, I totally recommend another book called The Handbook for Spiritual Warfare by Dr. Ed Murphy. It’s about 600+ pages but it’s awesome and I consider it to be an easy read. Actually, I have many books to recommend, but I won’t over-burden y’all with my book recommendations if you’re not interested in spiritual warfare, healing and deliverance ministry. If you are, I’ll probably make a special post just for book recommendations and probably do some book reviews periodically. I’ve been thinking about it for a while but everything depends on peoples level of interest on the topic so it’s just food for thought in terms of future posts. I typically recommend books I’ve read mostly or have heard was really good by others who have read the book that they recommend to me to read. I prefer recommending books I’ve read though, so that’s what I will probably do for now.

Right now I even recommend James Goll’s book Deliverance from Darkness which I’m still reading at the moment, and let me tell you, his book is also quite phenomenal as well. He takes a biblical perspective regarding deliverance and the type of spirits people may encounter and how to deal with people needing deliverance. Healing is important to every individual, but like Cindy said in her forward in Rebecca Greenwood’s book Let Our children Go!, there comes a time when some things just need to be cast out because of the very nature of the problem. Counseling can only take you so far at times, but then there is that need for deliverance in certain situations that are beyond counseling. Anyway, I’m still a scholar in this whole topic, so these are the books I’m recommending at the moment if you are an intercessor specifically, in fact I think since we are all called to intercede everybody should be in the same bandwagon. no more putting your head in the sand thinking such problems will just magically disappear. We need to be more knowledgeable about this type of stuff if we are a warfaring church. I’ve read a lot more books,  but these ones are pretty awesome so far. I have other books I’d recommend from Peter Horrobin, and Charles T. Kraft but I’ve got to read them first before I say anything. I also would consider that anyone reading any of these books that I recommend or if you find other books on your own regarding the topic of deliverance, I highly suggest that you first pray to have your mind covered because it is warfare for even me to be reading these books.  Always pray for covering for every Christian book that you read. Well, I think that’s my last book recommendation for now lol :D I think I’m getting carried away here lol. I guess you can tell that I love reading ;)

Have an Amazing day Everybody! God Bless y’all!

It’s the HEART that counts!

Hi Everybody!

Is everybody enjoying their summer? Well, as we enjoy the weather let us not forget that we need to remain in prayer for the land that we live in. I’m sure some of you have heard of the Colorado fires going on in the US? The landslides in Uganda where those who lived in the slum have lost their homes, the summer drownings  that seem to be a seasonal thing that keeps happening in Ontario, Canada every year (Canadians need to learn to swim seriously :( ). There is so much going on in different parts of the world and we just need to remember to keep our nations in prayer, AMEN!

Ok so I have a video here today for us to contemplate on what we do and how we live before God’s measure of Faith. I said in a previous post a while ago that God doesn’t measure deeds, He measures our HEART. Man always looks at the outward appearance as a standard of good behaviour, but God always looks a our hearts. When you think of Saul – the people-pleaser in the Bible…you’ll recognize that his heart was always in the wrong place and was therefore rejected from being King by the Lord Himself, which consequentially offended him greatly and moved him to be filled with hatred and jealousy to God’s new Candidate David the little shepherd boy. David was exalted because his Heart was one of a true worshiper who worshiped in Spirit and in Truth and is always described as the man after God’s Heart. Even when David sinned against God, he repented with great remorse because he truly loved God and realized how much he had grieved the Lord with his sinful actions. It didn’t matter how faithful he was in deeds prior to his sin of adultery, because God was always looking at David’s heart. If we focus way too much on deeds without cultivating a heart of love in our actions walking in the spirit of truth and humility, then deeds alone don’t count for anything. Faith without Works is dead (James 2:14-26) as are works without faith and love are dead also. Faith and Works must be held together if we are to walk in Righteousness since the Just live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:16; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:26; Hebrews 10:38).

1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”.

It’s amazing to see how deceived people can be when they think that deeds count for something more than the heart. JESUS is always looking at our hearts all the time. Let’s learn from the story about Ananias and Sapphira in the book of (Acts 5:1-11). Not every story has a happy ending and the story of Ananias and Sapphira is once such story. Their story is a warning for all believers to take God very seriously and to not think or consider lying to the Holy Spirit. God shall not be mocked.

We can try and fool people with self-righteousness and deeds but if we have not LOVE, then it is useless and we are most definitely operating in a false sense of humility. Such a display of  this false faith in action is nothing more but pride in action.

Love is an important character that we need to cultivate since AGAPE - “God is Love” is the very character of God. I know for sure that the Holy Spirit shows me areas that I lack it, but I still make an effort to strive to love like Jesus did. I admit that there are individuals who rub me the wrong way sometimes and I’m sure we all do have some in our lives, but the most important thing is to always purpose to operate in love. True Humility operates in Love at all times and it is never self-seeking nor is it pretentious.

When I see others who operate with a high level of Love, I always get challenged because I’m thinking…”wow…you know this person is against you, but you still treat them with the utmost love that I find to be quite profound”. My Grandpa and Grandma are really good at displaying this type of love…and sometimes I think it’s over the top because there are some things that I consider to be things that really need to be addressed and called out on with regards to some people in their actions. However, I remain amazed at how they can still fellowship with all kinds of people especially their enemies and still maintain that spirit of love despite knowing what they are all about even in circumstances where these same people plot harm against the family.

Love is real when it is in action and Love can only grow through Faith. Faith is tied to LOVE. The more faith you have the more love you have. The more Godly love you have the more Faith you have. Faith and Love go hand in hand in God’s Hand.

For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die for us and for our sins so that whosoever believes in Him will not perish like Ananais and Sapphira did, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

It is clear to me that Ananias and Sapphira lacked faith and operated without the fear of God because the believed they could pretend humility in a self-seeking manner as a reaction to their jealousy toward their brother in Christ which is not characteristic of Agape-love at all.

As we learn from the grimm story of Ananias and Sapphira we must look back and ask ourselves what do we believe in? Do we believe in the powerful Love of our Lord Jesus Christ? Will we choose to operate in Love just like our Lord Jesus? or will we pretend humility and lie to the Holy Spirit?

When you have faith in God, you believe in His love that He has for you when you get saved; however, our faith in His love is demonstrated best when we love others in return as He has done for us as well. So Today, focus on increasing your capacity to love people as Christ loves the Church and all the people of the World. When you demonstrate your love, you show God that you have faith in Him.  God Expects us to do likewise in our conduct as He has done for us through His Son Jesus Christ at the Cross. Let’s think on purifying our Hearts so that we can Love people as God loves us and Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth rather than end up unfaithful and deceitful like Ananias and Sapphira. God shall not be mocked by self-righteousness so we must reverentially Fear Him as we walk by faith with fear and trembling ensuring that humility is our garment of Praise. Let’s renew our spirits and ask God to cleanse our hearts of anything that doesn’t resemble Godly love in character though our actions, thoughts and deeds, AMEN!

I have a song by Donnie McClurkin called Create in Me a Clean Heart. May it minister to your heart today. Have a Blessed day everybody!

Scriptures to Meditate

Habakkuk 2:4
Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.

Romans 1:17
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

Hebrews 10:19-27  (NKJV)

Hold Fast Your Confession

19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

The Just Live by Faith

26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

Hebrews 10:38
Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

1 Corinthians 13 (NKJV)

The Greatest Gift

13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me nothing.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

“It Doesn’t Make Sense!”

Hello Everybody!

When you look through the Bible we see that there were many miracles that were performed and many were initiated after ACTS of obedience. It is important to note how acts of obedience are tied to miracles and supernatural moves of God. I believe that miracles are always happening everyday but we just have to learn to be obedient in order to see how they are happening everyday. Sometimes, God asks us to do something out of the ordinary and when you try to rationalize what God is thinking it may seem like you heard incorrectly because sometimes He requests us to do things that don’t make any sense.

1 Corinthians 2:16
For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

Have you ever been in a situation where you heard in your spirit that you must do something but you tried to rationalize it away thinking that you weren’t hearing properly and probably rebuked the suggestion thinking it’s not of God when really it’s the Holy Spirit telling you to do something? I have been there many times and when you think about it, a lot of things God asks of us to do don’t always make sense, but when we learn to obey Him in the thing that sounds ridiculous, we see amazing things happen.

Think about it, if Moses didn’t stretch out his rod over the Red Sea as God had commanded him to, the Bible would have ended at Exodus  with Pharoah probably killing off the Jews and taking many of them back into captivity had Moses decided to ignore the voice of God to do something that didn’t make sense. The future of Israel was on the other side of the Red Sea and that future could have been extinguished at the shoreline had Moses said “But God this doesn’t make any sense!”.

What we hope to achieve in this life is tied to how much we move and do things that don’t make any sense to anyone.

The greatest inventions such as the Thomas Edison’s light bulb and the airplane that could fly by the Wright brothers were all invented at a time where people thought such things cannot be because they have never seen such things before and they didn’t make any sense. Just because you haven’t seen a miracle happen doesn’t mean miracles don’t or won’t happen. I think that if we keep trying to do things in our own might and power, we leave no room for the unexpected. The unexpected is cultivated by acts of obedience. When you decide to just do something different even when faced with the threat of ridicule and unbelief, you step into the Faith Zone that carries you towards the Miracle Zone and God always brings PROVISION for the VISION when you decide to walk in His Will.

It is possible to walk everyday in the Miracle zone if you allow yourself to walk in God’s Will Also consider that people are stimulated by shock value and most of the time it’s negative. Miracles should be our shock value daily because when they are from God they are always positive. We no longer pursue miracles because we live in a state of mind that thinks everything that has been done has already been done before. I’m here to tell you…there are greater things yet to come if you believe for it. I personally want to see things I’ve never seen before, don’t you? Like Moses, stretch out your faith and focus on seeing greater miracles than these and remember that you can only see a miracle when you ACT in Obedience. Stop ignoring the ridiculous and go for it. You have to do your part by acting on your faith rather than sitting there waiting for it to happen. Miracles are activated by ACTION. Whose action you ask? Yours! so MOVE! Moses performed an action by stretching out his rod and the Red Sea Divided, so you have to do the same and act by faith to see things happen. This message isn’t just for you only, because I feel that it is also for me as well. So I’ll step out and do different things in pursuit of my miracles in my life. Each person has a portion of miracles that are specifically assigned and designed by God for their destiny and are only activated by the power of your faith in action, so think about what you have to do in order to see your portion manifest itself today, Amen!

I have a song from the Prince of Egypt Cartoon that came to mind when I wrote this up called When You Believe performed by Mariah Carey and the late Whitney Houston. May this song minister to you today. God bless you everybody!

Scriptures to Meditate

Isaiah 55:8
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.

Exodus 7:9
“When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent.’”

Galatians 3:4- (NKJV)

Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?

Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

Isaiah 64:4
For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.

1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Feed Your Spirit, Don’t Starve it!

Hello Everybody!

I know I have been kinda busy with Easter activities last week since I was involved in a Cantata that went very well by the way. We performed twice on Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday and let me tell you it was warfare throughout the production but I believe we reaped a harvest of righteousness in that some people found salvation through the play (James 3:18). I was soo worn out by it all that I decided to take a break from blogging for a while just to rejuvenate and now I’m back and would like to share something with you today. I just wanted to share a thought that occurred to me yesterday when I was at cell group participating in an inner healing course, and it’s about how we view ourselves “Image-wise” in our walk as Christians in the Body of Christ.

The Word of God is living and powerful as it gives life to us but that’s only if we meditate on it day and night and feed our spirit-man with it daily. It occurred to me that we have people in the Body of Christ who are anorexic in their spirits.

“Anorexic in their spirits? What are you talking about SHERLINE!!!??”

Let me explain.

I shared this thought with the group I was with yesterday and thought it best to share it here on the blog. When I pondered about this further…it kind of horrified me because it was such an epiphany. How do we perceive ourselves in the Body of Christ?

What are we feeding or NOT feeding our Spirit-man????

via weightlosspills99.com/

Consider that the natural disorder of Anorexia nervosa  is an debilitating condition that targets the mind of a person to feel convinced that they are overweight and/or obese when in fact they are below the normal average body mass because of their inappropriate eating habits. It becomes difficult to rehabilitate a person who is completely convinced that they “just have to starve their bodies” in excess of food to maintain what they think is “ideal” in body figure. This starving behaviour becomes a serious disorder that fragments the persons mental functions and capacity to rationally reason in that as they continue to starve their bodies in excess, their mental functions become impaired and this often leads to death when left untreated.

The major issue of this disorder is linked to self-perception – which concerns how one views their Self-image and their Self-worth. It becomes an unhealthy obsession that is targeted at becoming the “perfect ideal image” by the World’s definition and standard in light of how the world perceives the individual.  It is amazing how one can look in the mirror and see an obese image of themselves when in reality, they are actually and most likely average and healthy on the outside.

This way of thinking is very dangerous and debilitating to ones self-image because of the mere fact that all it takes is a person’s decision to believe and accept a LIE in order for one to suffer such a mind-breaking, soul crushing and physically deforming disorder.

I’m of the opinion that the disorder of anorexia deforms a persons true worth, true perception of self, and true physical nature and form of their body by such a negative belief that “You’re not good enough until….you fit societies standards and definition of self-image”. The Word of God says you are FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE!!!! Why try to conform to societies standards when the solid rock foundation in which we should stand is the WORD OF GOD (The Bible).

Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Ephesians 4:23
and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

Believing in a lie has dire consequences to ones life-span. Anorexics are caught up in a lie that affects them on an emotional level, physical level and spiritual level. In the same way, lies affect our spirits as Christians.

Ask yourself, what are you choosing to believe in??? The Truth or the Lies???

When you see how it operates in the natural it is now easy to understand how it also functions in the Spirit.

How do we view ourselves and how are we feeding our Spirit?

When I think about that, I think about how we as Christians do the same thing.

Are we anorexic Christians seeking validation from how the World perceives us or are we strong in our conviction and believing in the report of the Lord?

We must believe in the Word of God and believe in how God sees us and not allow ourselves to be obsessed with trying to “fit in” the world’s definition of our own self-image because that is a COUNTER-FIT (Counterfeit) way of thinking.  We are Children of God and we are made in His image and likeness from the very beginning of the foundation of this world.

The World has in a way dulled our senses and made us disillusioned about who we are in Christ by trying to define us through fashion magazines, television, media, school, history, religion, philosophies, etc…but we need to stick to the WORD and believe in that Word.

The only way to escape becoming a “spiritually anorexic Christian” is by feeding your spirit-man with the WORD that GIVES LIFE and a LIFE OF ABUNDANCE.

REMEMBER: You have the choice and the ability to believe in a lie or believe in the TRUTH. The Way of TRUTH is Life…and the way of Lies is Death. So my epiphany to you today is Seek to feed your Spirit man with the TRUTH so that you don’t end up like a lost Christian obsessing over your image by filling yourself with unhealthy habits, unhealthy thought patterns, and unhealthy activities that potentially starve and grieve the Holy Spirit in you. Believe in the WORD of GOD and eat of it, for in it there is Everlasting Life!!!!

I Have here a Song to minister to your spirit today by Men of Standard  (feat. Tye Tribbett) called YOURS. May it bless you today everybody!

Revival of God’s Image in Us – The Breath of Life

via mtrevival.com

via mtrevival.com

Hello Everybody!

Today my meditation comes with the feeling of wanting to see a MODERN DAY REVIVAL! I’ve been thinking about it for a while but when was the last revival apart from the Azusa Street Revival that was massive in its day in April 16, 1906 where there were workings of miracles, massive reception of the gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT? I want to see REVIVALS break out on a Global Scale. I know what I’m saying sounds ridiculous and probably dangerous but I want to see Massive Revivals not on a Nationwide scale but on a Global Scale. Can you imagine many Churches all having a Revival in the same Year? I can only say Faith can take us to such an amazing Vision so I’m speaking out by Faith in the Blogosphere for such a thing to Manifest itself. I want to see JOEL 2:28-29 in action people! Especially in the West where we have drowned out the Sound of the Divine Alarm, Make Ye Straight The Way of The LORD! Revivals shouldn’t be something we merely read in History books, I want to see these things take place in my lifetime but on a Grand Scale. This Year of Divine Government, we should pray and declare for REVIVAL on a Global Scale. I know that my blog has an international audience so for those reading, Start Praying for Revival in your Countries and Watch GOD MOVE. When a church becomes One in Mind, One in Spirit and One to Worship the Only God, you’ll be amazed at how the Spirit of the Lord will move.

Remember how God made Man and Woman in His own image and likeness in the book of Genesis 1:27 - So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.  The name Adam is Hebrew for “Man”; or “Mankind” so literally Adam was called Man. Adam was just a body that would have remained an empty shell until God’s breath of life came into that shell indwelling in him & her and it is that life that he & she became Sons of God formed in His Image and likeness. He and she are always referred to as the “first Adam” whereas Jesus is referred to as the “last Adam” in 1 Corinthians 15:45 (NIV) – So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being“; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.

It is Interesting to note the two distinctions:

1.) One being that the “First Man” was just a “living being” meaning that he and she were a “living being” with the breath of God’s life in him/her.

2.) The second being that the “Last Man” is Christ who was and is a “Life-giving spirit” in the form of a man.

God is the one who breathed life into Adam and therefore is the “GIVER OF LIFE”, then it stands to reason that the first Adam was not able to breathe life into another because only God could do that.

When both Adam and Eve sinned by listening to the Devil and defying one commandment to not eat of the Fruit of good and evil in the Garden of Eden, their state of God breathed Life started to die at that moment because what was in them was the Holy Spirit. Sin caused spiritual death and if you read through the books from the genealogy of Abraham going forward, you will notice that the number of years that man could live significantly decreased in that we once were able to live for hundreds of years in age because the breath of life which is from God is an Eternal kind of breath. If you look at our current life expectancy to this day, you can see that it is a now only a “miracle” if many of us can live to the age of 100. This is the consequence of all of us living in a state of fallen Grace.

Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

When Jesus Christ came, it was only then that God was able to give life back into man as a Man on Earth to reinstate the original design which was God in Us through the Holy Spirit. This is evidence of God with us and dwelling among us in the New testament, but the buck doesn’t stop there folks! An amazing thing happens in the book of John after Jesus resurrects from the Dead. He meets His Disciples and then Breathes on ALL of them that were present (save Thomas) and commissions them to be APOSTLES! Did you catch that?  I said, HE BREATHES on the DISCIPLES and they are commissioned as APOSTLES! God’s BREATH OF LIFE yet again in action. The disciples had already received the HOLY SPIRIT prior to the upper room experience that they had in ACTS 2. The Acts 2 experience was the activation of the GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

John 20:19-23

The Apostles Commissioned

19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled,[c] for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

There are two separate events here folks.

1) The receiving of the Holy Spirit in the book of John breathed onto them by Jesus, and then

2) The activation of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in the book of Acts.

wow…I feel like I’m preaching but I think you understand my point right. This is such a sweet revelation.

The disciples became SONS OF GOD at that moment. HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need to understand these two phenomenons so that you understand how we are the SONS of GOD on Earth after we are saved (born again), baptized, and receive the Gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT. It is mandatory that we operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we need to be ignited to operate in the fullness of our callings as Sons of God, the question is…Do people even recognize the importance of the Holy Spirit in their life?

Are you walking in the Spirit as a Christian or are you still acting like a Christian walking like a dead man by ignoring the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of you the Hope of Glory?

What are we doing to quench the operation of the Holy Spirit in our lives?

When we grieve the Holy Spirit, we cannot function with the authority and inheritance as Sons of God, because clearly, you ABSOLUTELY need the HOLY SPIRIT to operate as a Son of God and you also must pursue the gifts of the Holy Spirit to function in the fullness of that call.

So my last Question is:

Ask yourself today, are you walking in the Spirit that is ETERNAL or are you walking in the FLESH that will soon pass away?

Wow, so friends, lets start believing in this A NEW WAVE of GODS BREATH on us so that we can be SONS OF GOD in this YEAR of 2012 – YEAR OF DIVINE GOVERNMENT. I want to see revival!!!!!!!!!! Can I get an AMEN!

I have an awesome song today by Cece Winans called Hallelujah PRAISE! Indeed, let everything that Hath breath praise the LORD! Stay Blessed Everybody!

Scriptures to Meditate

JOEL 2:28-29

God’s Spirit Poured Out

28 “And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

That You May Believe

30 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

Psalm 150:6
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!

Stand Out!

Hello Everybody!

Today is an amazing day. It’s sunny out there and I just gotta give GOD all the PRAISE!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO! Ok, so that was my shout out today. Did it wake you up a bit? It is amazing when I look at what God has done for me in my life and I just want to say that when I look at where I was and how far I’ve come to be where I am, I feel like a shout just comes deep down in my Spirit to give a Praise to the Lord for what He’s done for me! God loves us sooo much that it’s sooo hard to comprehend sometimes when we think of the times we did things without understanding, without wisdom or direction that makes us beg  the question, “LORD WHAT SHALL I DO????!” The patterns of our world cannot take us to where we need to be nor to where we ought to be in God. Our God-given potential is sooo great that we can only function when we strive to be transformed, to be renewed, to be changed and to also STAND OUT against the patterns of this world that don’t believe in our Lord Jesus Christ. When we conform to worldy standards, we limit our GOD-given potential because that potential is divine in nature. The world cannot bring it out, it’s only GOD who can. So today, Meditate on what it takes to TRANSFORM into GOD’s image which was the ORIGINAL PLAN to begin with before we fell from our state of Grace, Our state of Glory, our state of GOD IN US and WITH US the HOPE OF GLORY.

I have a song today to Uplift your day. It’s called STAND OUT by Tye Tribbett and G.A. Choir. Stay Blessed EVERYBODY and choose to STAND OUT!

Here are the lyrics to this AWESOME SONG!

[speaking: Tye Tribbett]
When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against him.
I see the enemy coming in like a flood in our houses, in our churches, in our families.
But what I don’t see is the standard. People of God where’s the standard at?
We in a war y’all. It’s time to stand OUT!

[G.A.:]
It’s about to go down. The battle has begun.
It’s time for you to choose, whose side you gonna be on.
The devil is recruiting, temptin’ every man.
But he’s already defeated, all we have to do is stand.
No time for mixing light with the darkness.
Be black or be white, no more shades of gray.
Be separated, be holy, no matter what you do, don’t bow.
And even if you stand alone, stand anyhow.

[CHORUS]

[Tye:] Rise up!

[G.A.:]
Rise up people, put on your strength.
There’s a war going on and we will win.
Stand up and fight, let the kingdom prevail.
With power and might, we will stand out.

Stand out!
[G.A.:] Stand out!
Be not conformed to this world.
[G.A.:] Stand out!
Be transformed, renew your mind.
[G.A.:] Stand out!
Just like the three Hebrew boys,
[G.A.:] Stand out!

[G.A.:]
God is playin’ it cool, don’t wanna rub nobody the wrong way.
Almost like we’re trying to fit in. Acting like we don’t know the name.
It’s time for us to stand out and go against the grain.
Forget tryin’ to be down, let the world know you’ve been changed.
How you gonna be the praise leader? But you listen to R & B?
And hip-hop is on your ringtone. I’m trynna tell you God ain’t pleased.
And since when did it become cool for you to live together unmarried?
Men with men?
Women with women?
I’m tellin you God ain’t gon’ have it.

[CHORUS]

[Tye:]

via the Enterprenuers Blog

It’s time to recognize.
The war it’s in disguise.
No time for compromise.
Wake up open your eyes.
[together:] The devil is a LIE!
You must be hot or cold.
You can’t blend in the crowd.
It’s time for God’s people ta -

[CHORUS]

via faithoncampus.com

[Tye:]
Let me hear your war cry!

[G.A.:]
Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!

[Tye:]
Let me hear your war cry!

[G.A.:]
Ooh! (Let’s Stand Out!) Ooh! (Let’s Stand Out!) Ooh!

[Tye:]
Little bit louder.
[G.A.:]
Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!

[Tye:]
One more time!

[G.A.:]
Ooh! (Cry out loud!) Ooh! (Stand out!) Ooh!

STAND OUT!

[Speaking: Tye Tribbett]
We in a war people of God.
You don’t have to fight, all you gotta do is stand.
Make some noise G.A.!
Having done all to stand…
Now stand people of God!
If you gonna stand out with us… SCREAM!

Scriptures to Meditate

 Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Exodus 34:10
[ The Covenant Renewed ] And He said: “Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the LORD. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.

Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

Titus 3:5
not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Philippians 2:15
that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Believers Are Salt and Light

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

John 8:12
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

John 11:9
Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

2012 Gospel Music Power Up Conference Experience

IMG_1569

Toronto Mass Choir

Toronto Mass Choir @ Kennedy Road Tabernacle

Hi everybody,

I just want to say that I went to a conference and thought the whole journey was phenomenal. As you already know, I love worship like you cannot believe. It is one of those things that if I lived in a perfect world, I’d rather bask in a room full of it for the rest of my life and survive on that. It was just awesome. The Power Up Conference is hosted by the Toronto Mass Choir. I have a few Pics and Vids I wanna share. It was sooo awesome and they are planning a missions trip to Romania for this Summer. More about them can be located at this link here http://tmc.ca/powerup/. It was an awesome atmosphere of Praise and Worship and I am just soo blessed to be a part of something like that. It was an amazing workshop that had over 200 participants attend. One lady actually flew all the way from Japan just for this workshop hosted in Toronto and she’d only been in Canada for less than 5 months wanting to be a part of this 3 day workshop. God is GOOD! It’s amazing how people from the outside are drawn to places and opportunities to praise and worship God and do what it takes to get what they are looking for. They know the value of it that for us it’s like what Karen Burke (the co-founder and director of TMC) said, “it’s cotton candy to us because it is so readily available”. If we only had the same hunger for worship like others did, we wouldn’t take things like that for granted.

I have lived in a country where worshiping God was out of the question and mass persecution would result if found worshiping God openly and blatantly. People of the West, YOU DON’T KNOW HOW GOOD YOU HAVE IT HERE! Sorry but I had to make that shout out come out loud and clear. You are free to worship God here but yet we try to remove Him in our schools, our politics and other different areas of our lives whereas people outside who aren’t as free to have such choices as we do, want to worship the Lord as freely as we can and yet we shun the Lord Jesus and still wonder why the economy is going through some serious rough patches. Praise is a divine weapon, Worship is a divine weapon, it should be our garments that we wear everyday, but some of us put our Sunday’s best on Sunday and shelf it after Church is done. God isn’t impressed with the lukewarm, convenient Christianity friends. We cannot afford to be like that. God wants us to involve Him in our lives but we can’t see the implications of removing Him from it until HELL literally breaks loose on us. Do you really want to kick God out of your life only to OPEN the DOORS for Satan and his party to wreak havoc in your Life? In the end, the choices that we make are up to us and no one else. We are all accountable for our own actions. Think about that and consider that Jesus isn’t a Sunday clothing outfit, He is your daily Garment of Praise! We should wear Him with no Fear and Shame, AMEN!

Here are some of the Pics I took last night. It was phenomenal People!

We Learned 4 Songs in a course of 6 hours split up between two days. Friday being the first day for 2 hours and then Saturday we had two sessions, one in the morning for 2 hours and then later on in the afternoon for another 2 hours. We learned by ear without music and lyrics in front of us and presented this music last night for the congregation of Kennedy Road Tabernacle. Now I wanted to give you a video of the TMC in action and I did upload to YouTube but the picture is not coming out right so I might post it on my facebook blog page instead, so look out for that.

The Songs we learned were:

Great and Mighty – Joe Pace

He Knows – Edwin (Walter)  Hawkins

Praise is what I Do – Shekinah Glory

Winner – V.I.P. Mass Choir (John P. Kee)

Since the videos I have don’t seem to work quite right on YouTube, I decided to give you a vid of Great and Mighty by Joe Pace. It was such an awesome song to learn and very uplifting. May it Bless You Today!

The Lie of “Almost”

I just found this awesome awesome vid and I know I need to share it since my whole theme as of late has been about repentance, reconciliation, redemption in Christ. Let us understand that the Devil has no problem with us denying our weaknesses. It is equivalent to denying the truth and that is also equivalent to a lie. Lies are what keep us from receiving the truth. Lies are what keep us from being set free by the Truth. Lies are what bind us in Chains. Lies are what keep us from receiving the Love of the Father because Lies Hate TRUE Love which is Agape = God is Love. Lies also loves those that deny The Truth and accept the Lies = from the Devil. God wants us NOT to be “ALMOST” people, but to be “COMPLETE” people. Ask yourself today, are you willing to be COMPLETED by the Truth or to be ALMOST lost in believing the Lie? Jesus wants you Complete, the devil wants you to think you are almost complete, but you aren’t complete when you choose to side with that which denies the truth. Meditate on what is right, do what is right and pursue what is right in your life. Work on it and God will COMPLETE you! Think on this today as you check out this amazing TRUTH Poet I just landed across from YouTube. Stay Blessed EVERYONE!
