The Fifth Cup

Happy Sunday everybody!

I know I haven’t written much of anything for quite a while…but I will get back into the habit soon. I found this awesome video that will minister to you today called The Fifth Cup by Dan Stevers. It is a definite must watch. I feel stirred in my spirit as of late and feel like there is a need to emphasize the power of the blood of Christ.

Victory is our birth right when we decide that we are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Our language must reflect that birth right. Even in the face of adversity, the language that God only knows is the voice and the sound of Triumph spoken by His children who live by Faith and not by sight (Psalm 47:1; 2 Corinthians 5:7). The blood covers all sins, all mistakes and everything that is in the past because the Blood is God’s whiteout for our past transgressions. Once our mistakes and our past sins are blotted out, we only can look forward to a clean slate as our future (Acts 3:19). Today, focus on the future rather than dwelling on a past that is already erased by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

Acts 3:19

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord

God is the author and finisher of your future, so believe in Him today rather than remain trapped by yesterday’s coulda, woulda, shoulda, but didn’t. The past is over, the time is NOW to move forward with God guiding you into your tomorrows. When a runner runs, they never look back because they are fixing their eyes on the prize which is at the finish line.

Set your eyes on the prize and finish the race. Consider this, that since Spring is the Season of Renewal, your best is yet to come, but you don’t have to necessarily wait for it, you can run towards it if you just believe.

God is looking for barrier breaking impossible faith. Do you want to reach that level? I know I do, however, it will take work, so work your faith out and see God move.

Philippians 3:12-14 (NKJV)

Pressing Toward the Goal

12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Stay blessed everybody and enjoy the video!

The Bride of Christ is Anointed

Hello Everybody!

What a splendid Monday we are having. I know some people are grumbling about going to work on Monday but honestly, each day is an amazing blessing from the Lord. If you are reading this post today, then you indeed are in a blessed position. Today My focus is regarding the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins. This Parable is one I’ve read many times, but during my mediation, the Spirit of the Lord highlighted some things to me that I’d like to share with you here regarding that parable.

Let’s Read:

Matthew 25

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins

25 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

“And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming;[a] go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour[b] in which the Son of Man is coming.

This parable takes note of the actions of the 5 wise virgins and the 5 foolish ones. The 5 Wise virgins should be the state of the Church of Jesus Christ; however, some people in different churches are operating like the 5 foolish virgins.

What did the wise Virgins do to be received by their bridegroom versus the 5 foolish virgins?

I know that many read the story in its literal sense, but the oil that is being talked about in the parable is symbolic of ANOINTING…the lamp was their Spiritual vessels. This goes back to the question I have asked in a previous post regarding “How Great is Our God in YOU?”. I stated before that you can only determine how Great Christ is in you by how you cultivate an intimate relationship with Him. The wise virgins knew how important it was that in their waiting they kept the Light of Christ in them burning by renewing the oil to keep the lamp ablaze. Christ recognises the LIGHT shining in the lamps of the virgins because the light produced in these lamps is fueled by the light of HIS WORD.

The 5 Foolish Virgins brought vessels without oil to refuel their lamps and  slept and got lazy in verse 5 and allowed the Light of God’s Word in their own vessels to fizzle out. The Oil that they neglected to bring with them so that they could refuel their lamps is the anointing.  This is something that could have been avoided and yet by their own choice, these 5 foolish Virgins allowed the Light of Gods Word in their own vessels to be quenched by being unable to re-fuel their lamps with fresh anointing to keep their lamps burning which is an indication of their lack of faith in Christ . Just because the Bridegroom is delayed does not mean that He has denied to meet His bride. By the time the 5 foolish Virgins had realized that they had quenched the fire of their own vessels they assumed that they could rely on the anointing of the 5 wise virgins to ignite their lamps again, but this anointing oil is not cheap.

ANOINTING COMES WITH A PRICE at the cost of perserverance and endurance to run the race that is set before you no matter what the obstacles. Re-fueling and re-oiling comes with a price that these 5 foolish virgins did not understand as something that was important when they neglected to bring with them oil to refuel their vessels. It is no wonder why the 5 wise Virgins who VALUED the anointing refused to share their precious anointing (which was the oil) with the 5 Foolish virgins because if they were so irresponsible as to have neglected to purchase oil to keep their lamps burning in the first place…it could stand to reason that they would not value whatever the 5 Wise ones had left. The 5 wise virgins came prepared to keep the anointing in their lives to remain burning ablaze while these 5 foolish ones had nothing to refuel their faith with and this is the reason why their fires were so easily QUENCHED. They did not VALUE the anointing. If they did, they would have come prepared with fresh oil to keep their lamps burning.

via templestudy.com

The end result was that they ran to purchase oil TOO LATE while the Bridegroom, who is JESUS CHRIST had already picked up His Bride which were the 5 Wise virgins who had kept the Light of God’s Word burning in their vessels. When the 5 foolish ones came back, they saw that the door was closed and they kept crying to enter in, but the Lord could not recognize them… Why? because they had NO LIGHT in them which is the evidence of FAITH in GOD’s Word. This is why the Bridgegroom says in the twelfth verse of this scripture  ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

Friends….we have to be more like the 5 Wise Virgins…the anointing comes at a price and if you Value it…you will see Jesus and Jesus will only recognize His Bride as one that has the Light of God’s Word burning within their Vessels. This is why we must aim to be VESSELS OF HONOR for GOD. When you Honor God, He Honors You in return by fulfilling that which He has promised. He will return to His Bride…but the question is….Have we (the Church) kept the FIRE Burning????? Remember, it is by our own choice to keep this Fire of Faith burning in our lives. We cannot afford to be like the 5 foolish Virgins that allowed the Light of God’s Word to be quenched because they did not VALUE the price of the Anointing. Anyone who is in Christ is ANOINTED so today…keep that fresh fire falling on you today, AMEN!

Food for thought.

I have a song by Preashea Hilliard called Fresh Fire. May this Song bless you today everybody!

I Belong To You

Hi Everybody!

I know I haven’t blogged in over two weeks. I’ve been battling a cold which has not been fun, but I’m getting better, praise God.

I just wanted to post a song that’s in my spirit right now that’s by William McDowell called I Belong to You.

We all become adopted Sons of the Most High God when we first believe in the message that Christ is our Lord and Savior who died for all our sins and rose again to defeat the works of the evil one  — the Devil, in our lives (John 3:16). We take that step of faith and get baptized in water and then the Holy Ghost comes upon us like a fire lit within our hearts as we emerge from the waters of baptism.  It is so important to confirm and affirm your faith through the act of baptism even after you have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord over your life. Baptism is that final declaration and act to wash away your old life and come out new in Christ Jesus.

A weekend ago, we had over 100+ people get baptized to affirm their Faith in Jesus Christ at my Church. It was an amazing event and yet there are still many that have yet to take that step.

When you get baptized in Christ, you are actually saying that You Belong in the Family of Jesus Christ’s Church. You are a new creation in Christ, you have become a joint heir in the Kingdom of God, you are a Son of God walking in the authority that Christ gives to you through the Holy Spirit (Galatians 3:26-28). God is AWESOME!!!!!! So if you are a new believer, understand that your next step in your walk with God is to get Baptized. You’ve accepted Jesus as Lord, but baptism is that act in which you make a covenant with God to walk as His child in whom He is well pleased, in the same way God affirmed Jesus as His Son  through the same act of Baptism. It is a physical and spiritual act that reconnects you with your Father who is in Heaven as  you boldly declare and claim that you are God’s child and you’ve put away your old self and have become a new creation in Christ Jesus. You are God’s Child, so take that step of faith to affirm that you belong to God through Baptism, Amen!

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Enjoy the Song and stay blessed everybody!

Matthew 3:11
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Matthew 3:13
[ John Baptizes Jesus ] Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.

Matthew 3:16-17
When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Mark 1:8
I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

Mark 1:9
[ John Baptizes Jesus ] It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.

Mark 10:39
They said to Him, “We are able.” So Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink the cup that I drink, and with the baptism I am baptized with you will be baptized;

Mark 16:16
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 22:16
And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’

Galatians 3:26-28

Sons and Heirs

26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Book Recommendations: Mary K Baxter – The Power of the Blood

Hi Everybody!

There was a question that popped up in an earlier post that I had written called The Curse is Broken and would like to open the floor for discussion.

The question came from fellow blogger and friend Margaret from Worshipandswag who had a friend (or was it a pastor??) who once said “You can’t cast out demons or loose bondage with the Blood of Jesus because that’s not what its meant for.”

Another said,  “The Blood of Jesus does everything because without the shedding of blood there is no redemption/salvation/deliverance.”

I had responded to her question in that post but would like to know other people’s opinion on the matter.  I would like to recommend a book that talks about The Power of the Blood of Jesus by Mary K Baxter that does an extensive run down on its purpose and power in our lives as Christians.

I personally do not think one should minimize the redemptive power of the blood of Jesus in our lives; however, it could be that in different Christian circles there is debate on how it is applied in our lives and to what circumstances we place emphasis on the blood of Jesus working in and through our lives. I firmly believe that the Blood is necessary in all aspects of our lives especially in the healing and deliverance ministry. I cannot understand why one would minimize its power unless they truly do not understand the purpose of the blood of Jesus. That’s why it is important to read and find clarity for things we do not understand and hence this book recommendation is a pretty good place to start if you want some foundational understanding about the Power of the blood of Jesus.

I know from what I have experienced personally in my own life, the blood of Jesus is living and powerful and shouldn’t be antiquated to be of no use in the deliverance ministry. However, it is possible to misunderstand its purpose when we misunderstand or misread the Bible concerning its redemptive power. The topic is pretty broad and extensive that I can’t really go into much depth with it here so instead, I would also like to recommend yet another book also by Mary K. Baxter called The Divine Revelation of Deliverance as a follow up to the previous book I mentioned called The Power of the Blood. She has so many books I can recommend, but for the purpose of this topic, I suggest these two to start.

Do people have any thoughts regarding the purpose and the power behind the Blood of Jesus? I would so like to know what others have to say.

Food for thought.

I have a song here to minister to you today by Shekinah Glory called Jesus.

God Bless you today Everybody!

Scriptures to Meditate

John 6:53
Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.

Ephesians 2:13
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Hebrews 12:24
to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Revelation 1:5
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

Hebrews 10:16-25

16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,”[a] 17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”[b] 18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

Hold Fast Your Confession

19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

The Curse is Broken

Hi Everybody!

I was thinking about what to write up today and decided to touch on breaking of curses.

The Blood of Jesus that was shed for you and me at the cross breaks every curse that is in existence in your life if you just believe.

It says in the Word that:

Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Isn’t it amazing! Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ took all of our shame, took all of our sins from our fore fathers and generations passed, and bore all of them on His body, shed by His precious and innocent blood so that we could all be HEALED and DELIVERED and be SET FREE from the CURSE of the Law that had kept all of us bound.  Glory be to GOD!

I believe that the Lord wants every person to know that there is no sin too great or too small that hasn’t been covered by the blood of Jesus.

Through Jesus we are forgiven because Jesus forgives ALL sin. He became cursed for us so that we no longer have to remain cursed. Jesus’ blood covers all sin, all generational curses, and all of our iniquities that has passed on from generation to generation, so that we can all be free in Christ our redeemer. Praise be to GOD!

Galatians 3:13
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” ),

Every generational curse can be broken through a process of deliverance that is initiated by first identifying the sin, confessing the sin, then repenting of the sin and then renouncing the sin and then giving the Lord praise when receiving the Lords forgiveness and freedom of guilt from the sin.

It is only through the powerful name and blood of Jesus that can break a curse operating in our lives.

Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.’

Jesus Christ is Lord, so it is important that when you go through your daily lives and you find yourself struggling with habitual tendencies, or recurring patterns of behavior, or areas of sin that you have had trouble trying to break free from on your own (even after confessing it), this is when you must call on the name of JESUS and bring the issue to the forefront before the Lord and seek His face to help you break free from the sin. You cannot break free on your own without the Lords help so submit to the bondage-breaking power of Jesus and He will set you free.

You must have FAITH and BELIEVE in the power of Jesus for your healing and deliverance. <—- this is very important.

It is only through your faith that you can become whole.

John 8:36
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

In many cases, when dealing with a curse operating in your life, deliverance maybe required to handle the issue and in such cases I strongly suggest that when you identify that this is what you need to break free from it, then you should seek mature and seasoned Christians to pray with you as well.

Sometimes, certain struggles require a lot of intercessory prayer to back you up, but that doesn’t mean you stop praying for yourself to get healed and delivered just because others are praying for you. It is very important to pray everyday so pray without ceasing and giving up and when you need help, don’t be afraid to ask for others to pray with you in agreement with whatever it is that you need covering for. There is more power in prayer when others come together with you and pray with you in agreement.

Intercessors that flow in the gifts of the healing & deliverance ministry can help you with high level curses and can instruct you through the process of your deliverance if that is what you need. Discernment is so required in this area and also consider that you may be required to fast in cases where you are dealing with strongholds that need to be broken over your life. The process of deliverance varies on a case by case basis so don’t be discouraged if your deliverance from a curse takes a little longer than others. The point is to never give up and keep your faith fixed on Jesus the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2) for your healing and deliverance and for your breakthrough.

I would definitely recommend reading the book by Rebecca Brown called Unbroken Curses as a starter book to get some background knowledge in order to pray effectively in your prayer life in this area and I would also recommend Cindy Trimm’s book called Rules of Engagement as well if you need some resources to help you in the process of identifying the areas that you may need to pray over in your life to break the curses that you find are operating in your life or in your family’s lives.

Remember, it is only through the powerful name of Jesus that you can be set free from whatever struggle you face. Jesus defeated every curse on the cross through His blood. Never forget what Jesus did for you when you pray. Always remember the name of the Lord, Amen!

God is in the healing & deliverance business, AMEN!

“[A Calm Resolve to Wait for the Salvation of God] To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.” Psalm 62:1NKJV

Micah 7:18-19 (NIV)

18 Who is a God like you,
who pardons sin and forgives the transgression
of the remnant of his inheritance?
You do not stay angry forever
but delight to show mercy.
19 You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

I believe that there are so many people out there struggling to break curses in their lives and feel that there is no way out of their situation. God is saying, I AM THE WAY OUT because He is Jehovah Rophe (I AM HEALER; “The Lord who Heals“). Look to Jesus as the answer to your problem for He indeed is the Way the Truth and the Life (John 14:6) and He is the curse and bondage breaker, Amen! Pray continuously and never give up, because God is able to break every curse in your life, AMEN!

I have two songs for you today, one by James Fortune & FIYA called The Curse is Broken and the other by Virtue singing Healin’. May these songs minister to you today. God bless you everybody!

Consumer Worship

Hi Everybody!

Happy TGIF!

Well, I hope you are all having a blessed week :D . I wanted to give you all a wonderful vid to look at today concerning how we view worship. Worship is important to me and I can’t help but notice that I seem to be having an ongoing theme regarding it. Like I said before, Worship is not a Sunday affair. It should be a daily practice that can be demonstrated in how you give of yourself and your time to the Lord. I hope people don’t have a designated 5 minute time slot for the Lord when He is always with you every single moment of every single day. Unfortunately, many Christians are giving the Lord the silent treatment acting like He’s not there so today, I would like for us to think about what you have done to show God how much you love Him. I sing about Him, I write, I give my time and money to the things of the Lord, I read, I talk about Him…God is always on my mind everyday. I pray that we also have Him in our hearts each day. Worship God with all of your mind, body and your soul everybody. God deserves our Worship :) .

May this video bless your spirit today! God bless you everybody!

Peculiar isn’t always Popular

Hi Everybody!

It’s already mid-week and it’s amazing how time is flying by so fast. Before you know it, it’ll be Christmas! :O Has anybody started their early Christmas shopping???? I know I haven’t lol.

So today’s post is centered on how being a peculiar person isn’t always popular. When I look at the types of persecution that’s going around for being a Christian, I think that the level of persecution that is starting to rise is trying to send us a message that it isn’t popular to be a “Christian” at this time which is probably why some people will leave the faith. It’s kind of an oxymoron in a way because the rise in persecution is actually raising a few eye-brows as to why Christians are being so attacked in this decade. Each year, the death toll of martyrs is rising just because people believe in the One True God. In fact, just a couple of days ago, I even got a hate message from a Satanist via twitter which said: “Satan hates you too B****”.  I felt sorry for the Satanist….thinking… you may hate all you want, but God will always love you.

The walk of being a Christian isn’t so simple as many people think it is and yet we are the Jesus Freaks in this day and age. The message of the Truth is not always well recieved and yet it still needs to be preached, televised, tweeted, facebooked, blogged, texted, spoken about and written about. We have so many avenues to preach the gospel of truth and as we head into that place where I believe that there will be a greater dispensation of God’s Spirit outpoured to His chosen people who are the remnant, we will see a shift in peoples attitude. I liken this season to the time where Elijah challenged the god of Baal with the One True God. God answers by Fire…and the fire that we have yet to see is the greater dispensation of God’s Spirit poured out on mankind where revivals are going to take place. In fact…I believe that revivals have already started to manifest themselves and we as Christians need to buck up and get ready for whatever God plans for us to do. I say all of this with much fear and trembling. We are popularly unpopular to the World and yet in Heaven, there is a constant party going on for each individual that gets saved. The turn around will be amazing and I think that even writing this message may not even be something people want to read, but it needs to be said.

Jesus is the only way to get to Heaven because He died and shed His innocent blood for all of humanity’s sins.

We should not turn a blind eye to the only God that came down as a man to die for His own creation just so that there could be a renewal of relationship between man and God because God so loved the World that He sent His begotten Son, that whoseoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

The deception that I believe is veiling the truth about the existence of Jesus and the existence of the one true God is that people don’t believe that Hell exists. It’s one thing for people to believe that God doesn’t exist…but the reason why people don’t believe God exists is because they don’t believe in the reality of the Devil’s existence and the reality of Hell’s existence. Hell was never meant for us, it was meant for the fallen angels and Satan, but because of Sin…the consequence of all of us reaching that place is definite if we choose not to repent and believe that Jesus paid the price for us to enter back into Heaven. People, there is no other God out there who is like Jesus that will sacrifice their own so-called deity to come to earth as a man and literally experience torture for the sake of humanity just because their love is that great for mankind. Not even money can save you from Cancer or a car crash like our God can.

Many people struggle with identity crises because they don’t really know who they are and whose they are. Every person was created by God because God loves you. You are His beloved creation to whom He calls Sons and Daugthers of the Most High God. We are His Children in God’s eyes. Please tell me of a God that refers to us humans as God’s Children????

Many hate a God that they don’t even know personally and fail to understand that even in your hate, He still loves you and is sad when you cannot see the truth of His love. Many bad things happen because people don’t understand the real war we battle…We are fighting the wrong person. Many people are fighting against the God that loves them not realizing they are being decieved by the one that Hates them the most — the Devil. The Devil is rather happy when people believe that he does not exist. It’s easier to recruit people who are God haters that way.

My message here today is that, Satan hates all of humanity including God. He will stop at nothing and use anything and anyone to make that point clear. If you don’t know which side you are on, then seriously reflect and consider that no matter how scientific or philosophical you are… what cannot be denied is that Evil does exist…and it definitely has a source, and that source is called Satan whether you choose to believe that or not. If evil exists, then good exists; and if good exists… than God exists because our God is a good God that sent His Son Jesus to defeat the works and the powers of Evil by offering humanity a choice to choose eternal life in Heaven over eternal damnation in Hell.

As a Christian…I choose the unpopular route because…I have seen a lot of evil in my day that I know for sure and for certain that the Devil is real and that my God is Real and I choose to serve my God through Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

There is coming a point where there will be a great schism in the last days…and for all those fence-sitters reading this message…do not assume for one second that you have all the time in the world to decide which way you’ll swing because the time is getting shorter and shorter each day you dilly-dally with your decision. The time is now to choose! This is what I’m feeling in my spirit right now as I woke up today and I cannot stress the message of Salvation any stronger than that. So today… consider where you are and where you stand. I can tell you to choose Jesus like every other Christian…however, I want to make one thing clear, Hell does exist whether you choose to believe that or not regardless of what you choose. If you can at least believe that, then that will be enough for you to decide. I think that my message sounds a little strong…but I’m sorry, I cannot afford to water this message down just so that you can sleep well at night. I have seen people’s lives snuffed out and lives destroyed all because of ignorance and unbelief. Satan is in the business of attacking peoples faith…so stay strong in the good fight of faith because being Peculiar these days is not very popular. We are at a stage where Satan is even causing Christians to deny their faith to embrace a lie, that it is better to preserve your life and deny Christ as Savior rather than choosing to die for the Truth because it is TRUE.

I admit…persecution isn’t attractive since I’ve experienced some level of it in my life and it is understandable why people would choose to deny Christ with the level of violence that is being propagated lately by those who hate Christians and the God that they serve, particularly in countries where it seems that there is a move to outlaw prayer and reading of Bibles…but I also believe that living a lie isn’t quite really living now is it when you consider the eternal ramifications towards your soul. Food for thought.

I would totally recommend reading my post called In Pursuit of Holiness – The Divine Revelation of Heaven and Hell to get the full picture of its reality. May it help you make the decision to choose to be a peculiar person which I know first hand is the unpopular choice but the only choice that will ensure that you spend eternity with a loving God who is waiting to receive you, His child in Heaven. I encourage others to re-blog or email or tweet or pass this message to family members if they need to hear this message. The message of salvation and the Gospel of Truth must be preached because that is the mandate of the unpopularly Peculiar.

God Bless you Everybody!

A Lifestyle of Worship

Hi Everybody!

I hope you all are having a wonderful week! Monday has just passed and we’re now onto Tuesday depending on what time zone you’re in. Today, I was thinking that as a worshipper we must consider what it means to worship God in all that we do. I think to some extent we only make the time to worship God as a Sunday affair and miss out on worshipping Him every single day.

Living a life of worship means praying, thanking, praising, exalting, remembering, believing and trusting that God is always with you every step of the way in whatever you do. Some people shelve Him after Sunday Service is done….but we need to learn that we must worship and love God with all of our hearts and our minds and our Souls. We can’t compartamentalize the Lord in the far corners of our minds and think that we have all the time to get to that place where we will make the time when each second of each day is literally a gift from God. So when you wake up in the morning, praise the Lord that you are alive to see another day.

When you go throughout your day, bless the Lord by giving thanks for all the good things that occur in your day. Every good occurance in your life is from God to begin with…nothing is left to “chance” and nothing is a “coincidence” because your life is predetermined by the choices that you make. When you bless God more, you’ll see more blessings enter into your life and right before you lay your head to sleep, remember to give the Lord praise for He is the author and finisher of your day and will give you peace to deal with the next one. Tomorrow is never promised, today is a gift and yesterday is gone so start now and live a life of worship unto God and remember that God is not a Sunday appointment, He is your daily bread so worship Him everyday with every chance that you’ve got because each second is a blessing from on high.

Have a Blessed week everbody and  know that God loves you!

Make Me New

Hi Everybody!

I couldn’t help but post this song that I found from Preashea Hillard. It’s called Make Me New. I just love the Holy Spirit and this song is all about the Holy Spirit and the Love of God covering us and raining down on us. If it weren’t by God’s grace I don’t know where I’d be. This song is awesome.  May this song minister to you today. God bless you everybody!

It’s the HEART that counts!

Hi Everybody!

Is everybody enjoying their summer? Well, as we enjoy the weather let us not forget that we need to remain in prayer for the land that we live in. I’m sure some of you have heard of the Colorado fires going on in the US? The landslides in Uganda where those who lived in the slum have lost their homes, the summer drownings  that seem to be a seasonal thing that keeps happening in Ontario, Canada every year (Canadians need to learn to swim seriously :( ). There is so much going on in different parts of the world and we just need to remember to keep our nations in prayer, AMEN!

Ok so I have a video here today for us to contemplate on what we do and how we live before God’s measure of Faith. I said in a previous post a while ago that God doesn’t measure deeds, He measures our HEART. Man always looks at the outward appearance as a standard of good behaviour, but God always looks a our hearts. When you think of Saul – the people-pleaser in the Bible…you’ll recognize that his heart was always in the wrong place and was therefore rejected from being King by the Lord Himself, which consequentially offended him greatly and moved him to be filled with hatred and jealousy to God’s new Candidate David the little shepherd boy. David was exalted because his Heart was one of a true worshiper who worshiped in Spirit and in Truth and is always described as the man after God’s Heart. Even when David sinned against God, he repented with great remorse because he truly loved God and realized how much he had grieved the Lord with his sinful actions. It didn’t matter how faithful he was in deeds prior to his sin of adultery, because God was always looking at David’s heart. If we focus way too much on deeds without cultivating a heart of love in our actions walking in the spirit of truth and humility, then deeds alone don’t count for anything. Faith without Works is dead (James 2:14-26) as are works without faith and love are dead also. Faith and Works must be held together if we are to walk in Righteousness since the Just live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:16; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:26; Hebrews 10:38).

1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”.

It’s amazing to see how deceived people can be when they think that deeds count for something more than the heart. JESUS is always looking at our hearts all the time. Let’s learn from the story about Ananias and Sapphira in the book of (Acts 5:1-11). Not every story has a happy ending and the story of Ananias and Sapphira is once such story. Their story is a warning for all believers to take God very seriously and to not think or consider lying to the Holy Spirit. God shall not be mocked.

We can try and fool people with self-righteousness and deeds but if we have not LOVE, then it is useless and we are most definitely operating in a false sense of humility. Such a display of  this false faith in action is nothing more but pride in action.

Love is an important character that we need to cultivate since AGAPE - “God is Love” is the very character of God. I know for sure that the Holy Spirit shows me areas that I lack it, but I still make an effort to strive to love like Jesus did. I admit that there are individuals who rub me the wrong way sometimes and I’m sure we all do have some in our lives, but the most important thing is to always purpose to operate in love. True Humility operates in Love at all times and it is never self-seeking nor is it pretentious.

When I see others who operate with a high level of Love, I always get challenged because I’m thinking…”wow…you know this person is against you, but you still treat them with the utmost love that I find to be quite profound”. My Grandpa and Grandma are really good at displaying this type of love…and sometimes I think it’s over the top because there are some things that I consider to be things that really need to be addressed and called out on with regards to some people in their actions. However, I remain amazed at how they can still fellowship with all kinds of people especially their enemies and still maintain that spirit of love despite knowing what they are all about even in circumstances where these same people plot harm against the family.

Love is real when it is in action and Love can only grow through Faith. Faith is tied to LOVE. The more faith you have the more love you have. The more Godly love you have the more Faith you have. Faith and Love go hand in hand in God’s Hand.

For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die for us and for our sins so that whosoever believes in Him will not perish like Ananais and Sapphira did, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

It is clear to me that Ananias and Sapphira lacked faith and operated without the fear of God because the believed they could pretend humility in a self-seeking manner as a reaction to their jealousy toward their brother in Christ which is not characteristic of Agape-love at all.

As we learn from the grimm story of Ananias and Sapphira we must look back and ask ourselves what do we believe in? Do we believe in the powerful Love of our Lord Jesus Christ? Will we choose to operate in Love just like our Lord Jesus? or will we pretend humility and lie to the Holy Spirit?

When you have faith in God, you believe in His love that He has for you when you get saved; however, our faith in His love is demonstrated best when we love others in return as He has done for us as well. So Today, focus on increasing your capacity to love people as Christ loves the Church and all the people of the World. When you demonstrate your love, you show God that you have faith in Him.  God Expects us to do likewise in our conduct as He has done for us through His Son Jesus Christ at the Cross. Let’s think on purifying our Hearts so that we can Love people as God loves us and Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth rather than end up unfaithful and deceitful like Ananias and Sapphira. God shall not be mocked by self-righteousness so we must reverentially Fear Him as we walk by faith with fear and trembling ensuring that humility is our garment of Praise. Let’s renew our spirits and ask God to cleanse our hearts of anything that doesn’t resemble Godly love in character though our actions, thoughts and deeds, AMEN!

I have a song by Donnie McClurkin called Create in Me a Clean Heart. May it minister to your heart today. Have a Blessed day everybody!

Scriptures to Meditate

Habakkuk 2:4
Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.

Romans 1:17
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

Hebrews 10:19-27  (NKJV)

The Just Live by Faith

26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

Hebrews 10:38
Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

1 Corinthians 13 (NKJV)

The Greatest Gift

13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me nothing.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Saved to Serve, Serve to Rule on Earth as it is in Heaven

Kingdom Enforcers Conference 2012 at my church Kingdom Covenant Center

Hi Everybody!

Well, as you know I was attending a Kingdom Enforcers Conference hosted by my Church this week hence the reason why I wasn’t able to blog for a while and let me tell you that it’s been an awesome conference. I was a participant and an attendee and let me tell you, I am sooo filled and I hope that people are able to come to it next year because it will definitely change your life. We had delegates from across the globe attend from far an wide, some from Korea, Papua New Guinea, South Africa, Australia, England, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Kenya etc etc just to name a few. I will surely advertise it here so that any of my readers can come on down to Canada and get what you can get out of this conference I was at. God is Awesome!!!!!!!

So today I want to talk about being Saved to Serve in order to Serve to Rule. The Message of the Kingdom is that the message of salvation has a purpose. That purpose is to SERVE. You Get Saved to Serve the MOST HIGH GOD with your talents and abilities in order to empower others and that is how you move from being a servant of God by becoming a Ruler in your sphere of influence.

The main reason why we go to Church is to be empowered to empower, AMEN! So don’t sit there satisfied that your name is written in the Lambs Book of Life when other brothers and sisters need to have theirs written in it too. You have the ability to preach, serve and save others out of ignorance and into the Kingdom that is filled with WEALTH, KNOWLEDGE & POWER!

Key Note Speaker Mike Murdock

God empowers us so that we can empower others, God saved us so that we can save others….We have to imitate Christ in all facets of our lives. Jesus didn’t sit on His anointing, He went out and performed exploits. He gathered a bunch of businessmen and also realize that Jesus was a self-employed carpenter before He became a Rabbi and the Messiah to the people. He knew how to make money with his gifting  since he was called the “son of the Carpenter” (Mark 6:3) and that is why He was always able to use His knowledge to build people as well. This is also the reason why He chose disciples that worked  and had skilled trades and abilities to create wealth because Jesus values KNOWLEDGE.

Jesus used their knowledge and chose them to help build the future Church of Jesus Christ. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER and without it people perish (Hosea 4:6). Don’t wait to get to Heaven to rule as a joint heir in Christ as a king when you can do it here in earth. Whatever you do here on Earth is done in Heaven so get a hold of your identity now and start ruling in the areas of business, health, education, religion, social services, sports, media, Arts and entertainment, Law and Law enforcement, Government, Finance, and your Family as well. These 12 Kingdoms need to be ruled by biblical principles so work your Faith out and use the knowledge you have to empower the Body of Christ to become influential members of society within these kingdoms.

That is what we must do. So I challenge you today… move from just being a babe in Christ and Serve in the Kingdom. You serve in your places of work but you must also give back and serve in your Churches as well. You need to bless the hand the fed you with the LIVING WORD! This is sooooo important and so many people miss this.

The Kingdoms of this world are any area you have abilities to perform in. If you are in the Arts Industry, serve well in that area and use your influence to give back that knowledge to the Children of God in your Churches so that they can become affluent in that area. If it is Health, educate the Body of Christ if you serve in that Kingdom. The Kingdoms in this World are Your JOBS! Your Abilities, your skills your Knowledge. Give back to God what He has empowered you to do. The Knowledge you gain from the world, must be shared to empower others to rise up and become rulers in those kingdoms. Serve in your churches by sharing your Knowledge that you gained in your Jobs in your places of Work so that people can be elevated to a new dimension of Glory by the Knowledge you share.

Be hungry for the knowledge of the World so that you can empower the body of Christ with that knowledge and use it to create  Kingdom focused ideas that rescue souls out of places where there is lack of opportunities. This is how you become a solution, AMEN! Well there is so much I learned at the conference so like I said, when this conference happens again next year, I will advertise it here on my blog and maybe next  year I’ll see my blogger friends here in Canada.  God bless you everyone!

I have a song here to bless you today that we sang at the KE Conference called The I AM Factor sung by by Donald Lawrence by Eydely Worship Channel.

Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Isaiah 58:12
Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.

Revelation 11:15
[ Seventh Trumpet: The Kingdom Proclaimed ] Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

Faith on a Wire – Believe and have FAITH

Hi Everybody!

Today I have an interesting video for y’all to watch. Check it out.

It’s amazing isn’t it? When God demonstrates His goodness to us time and time again, it should make our Faith stronger in Him and yet there is always that presence of doubt left in our minds because of unbelief.

What makes us doubt God’s love for us? What must He do to get our attention and believe that He loves us unconditionally? Like Blondin, Jesus time and time again throughout His ministry on Earth, demonstrated the Father’s love for us through workings of Miracles, Delieverance, Healings, Signs and Wonders and yet people could not believe He was the Messiah. He even hung on a tree and shed His blood for all of our sins as His greatest expression of His love  for us and yet people still doubt the Father’s love for them to this day.

It’s one thing to believe…but it’s another to have Faith. There is a small difference between believing in something and having faith in something. We can believe that Jesus is God and yet not have faith in the fact that the Lord Loves us. It’s a strange contradiction but You must have Faith and believe that God Loves You. The Devil is a liar and will cause you to mill around in self-pity and self-condemnation that will separate you from the Love of the Lord and that is why you must remember the TRUTH in that there is no condemnation in Christ. Christ died to set you free! Believe in that TRUTH and have Faith that Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!

Today be encouraged…no matter what you’ve done, no matter what sin committed, Jesus loves you unconditionally, otherwise the Father would not have sent His Son Jesus to die for all of us if that were not true. Jesus forgives us 70×7 times over for our sins, faults, failures, mistakes no matter what depth or measure of sin. Jesus’ Blood covers all sin because He forgives us so we are forgiven. Believe in that TRUTH. Remember that the devil is a LIAR!

God Loves YOU and his Mercy Endures forever! Be blessed today and be encouraged!

I have a song here to bless your heart today from Kari Jobe called You are for Me.

John 8:31
[ The Truth Shall Make You Free ] Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.

John 8:32
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

 John 8:36
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Romans 8:1
[ Free from Indwelling Sin ] There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Mark 11:22
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

Romans 14:22
Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.

2 Corinthians 4:13
And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,

Galatians 2:16
knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

1 Timothy 6:12
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

1 Chronicles 16:34
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Psalm 100:5
For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

John 3:18
He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

 John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Join the Garden of the True Vine and become a Vessel of Honor for God

via flickriver.com

Hi Everybody!

Today, I want to give you some encouragement. We can’t determine where we will be born and under what circumstances will the environement we are born in shape our lives because such things are beyond our control. Despite that, just remember that your past doesn’t determine your future. Your future is dependent on where you want to plant yourself after all is said and done for the next generations that follow after you. We are all choice-driven beings and what I want to encourage is for all of us to purpose to be planted in God’s Garden. JESUS is the True Vine and in His garden, everything flourishes, everything yields fruit when we remain anchored in Christ.

John 15:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)

The True Vine

15 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away;[a] and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

via cops.blog.com

Notice that each branch (which is us) goes through a pruning stage (through trials and testing) to cut off the things that prevent us from progressing and being fruitful in our lives. We all need to be pruned if we want to be fruitful and multliply (Genesis 1:22; Genesis 1:28; Genesis 9:1). When we allow Father God, who is our vinedresser to do what He needs to do with us in order for us to become a fruitful branch, we shall prosper by the Faith we put in allowing Him to prune the things in our lives that prevent us from being fruitful. Pruning requires us to go through periods of trials and testing. I know I don’t enjoy the whole pruning process personally, but I have seen that through some of thing things I’ve been through, there is a greater satisfaction in knowing how much one can endure in order to reap a greater harvest of Gods righteousness in our lives. God is AWESOME! The Word of God is living and powerful (Hebrews 4:12) and when we live and eat of it daily, we reap a harvest of God’s Word in our lives. His desire is to prosper us (Jeremiah 29:11) so we need to be fruitful and multiply in our lives through our families, our workplaces, and in all the areas that are tied to our callings in life in order for us to reach our full potential and fulfill our destinies.

You will have those in the Body of Christ that are the type of branch that do not bear fruit and are cast away as a consequence, because it isn’t enough to be hanging out in church everybody. You’ve got to be actively participating in the Body of Christ and living out your faith daily. Those branches that attend church but refuse to be pruned, dry up and wither and are of no use but to be broken off the vine and cast away. That is why I stress that it is important to meditate on the Word and live it out. Allow yourself to be pruned by the Vinedresser. Do not be a rebellious branch that refuses to be pruned. You cannot bear fruit if you are rebellious. Attending church isn’t the same thing as living in the Body of Christ by exercising your Faith in action. It is not enough to be a hearer of the Word and not be a doer of it.

Hear and Do, Believe and Trust God, Obey and Act. <—- this is key

So my questions today are:

Are you part of God’s Garden?

Will you Join God’s garden and allow Him to prune you according to His Will and Purpose by design?

Do not be fooled nor deceived, for the Lord knows who among us is a fruitful branch from an unfruitful one in His Vineyard based on the level of Faith and willingess of the ones who desire to be Pruned in order to do a great work in Him. The Gardener knows what branches will produce a harvest and cuts off those that will not. This is quite serious folks. Be planted in Gods Garden and allow him to Prune you.

When you allow the Lord to prune you, you will become a Vessel of honor for His Great name sake.

The question is Will you become a Vessel of Honor for God? Think about it and work on it.

2 Timothy 2:19-21

New King James Version (NKJV)

19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ[a] depart from iniquity.”

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

I have a short clip called Roots to encourage you today. Think about your past roots and consider that your past doesn’t determine your future. Seek to be rooted in God’s Word and remain planted in God’s Garden.

I have another song for you today to encourage you by Terrell King called You Will Win.  Stay Blessed today everybody!

Jesus, the True Shepherd of the Sheep. When He calls we hear His Voice. Let us answer to the Call.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

James 1:20-22

20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Doers—Not Hearers Only

21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Be fruitful and multiply the Harvest of Righteousness (James 3:18)

Genesis 28:3
“May God Almighty bless you, And make you fruitful and multiply you, That you may be an assembly of peoples;

Jeremiah 23:3
“But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

Colossians 1:10
that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Genesis 48:4
and said to me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people, and give this land to your descendants after you as an everlasting possession.’

The Story of a 16-year old Ex- Cutter

Hi Everybody!

Today I would like to address another issue that remains undiscussed or left in hindsight because it isn’t an obvious activity amongst our young generation. We sometimes wonder what causes a child to want to commit suicide or take drugs or drink alcohol, club like no tomorrow, starve themselves and become anorexic or bulimic or practice binge eating etc etc. There are soo many reasons why these things happen but we have to understand it in a biblical point of view here. The generation rising is what the devil is trying to destroy. When Moses - the sent deliverer was born, Satan was after his life and tried to kill a generation of children that were 2 years of age and under using Pharaoh to decree it as law …When Jesus popped into the scene as the Messiah and the one who came to save us, Herod decreed the same law that permitted the killing yet again of young children 2 years of age or younger in pursuit to kill Jesus as a vulnerable baby.

It should be clear to you that Satan is after the young generation rising that could be sent to be the solution to our future and to the world’s existing problems. Why wait until they are full blown adults when the assignment is to destroy them before they realize their full potential. Is it such a mystery as to why abortion is on the rise???? Is it such a mystery that youth are dying everyday to addictions and violence???? Is it such a mystery that pop music, the internet and social media has such a strong influence in youth culture??? Satan will do whatever and use whatever means possible so that he can and infiltrate in whatever way he can to get at the minds of young people and abort their destinies. The stuff some young people are dealing with to this day is stuff you’d be surprised about because some activities never really existed 20 years ago. This saddens me because I see this operating a lot to this day and it rarely gets any recognition or awareness that it deserves because of the simple fact that parents are oblivious and ignorant of the affairs of their children. This just proves how Hosea 4:6 is still in effect in our current generation…but what I want to see is  2 Timothy 3:15-16  & Proverbs 22:6 to be in effect people!

So today I want to give you a short video clip of a young 16-year old girl’s testimony of how she is an Ex-cutter and what she discovered during the healing process to overcame the addiction. Check out her story.

Now, I found it interesting how Ashley said that she “heard a voice that told her to start cutting”. Folks, the practice of cutting isn’t a new thing at all, in fact I was surprised to find it practiced in the Bible. The practice of cutting yourself was practiced by Baal worshipers in the book of 1 Kings 18. When Prophet Elijah challenged the Baal prophets to see which “God” was really the one true God that should be worshiped, he proposed that they both make alters where a bull was to be sacrificed and laid there for the purpose of the “True God” to supernaturally accept the offering by Fire that was not man-made but divine in origin as proof of whose god was really God.  During this process, the Baal Prophets practiced cutting themselves (the flesh) until blood flowed which was a typical custom for their religion in an attempt to get their god Baal to “answer them”. You will find they practiced this nonsense in vain because the God of Elijah, the one true God defeated their so-called gods as God answered to Elijah’s offering with a divine Fire that consumed the entire offering. Let’s read it so you know where I’m coming from if you think I’m making this stuff up.

1 Kings 18: 20- 38

Elijah’s Mount Carmel Victory

20 So Ahab sent for all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together on Mount Carmel.21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word. 22 Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. 23 Therefore let them give us two bulls; and let them choose one bull for themselves, cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it; and I will prepare the other bull, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it.24 Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.”

So all the people answered and said, “It is well spoken.”

25 Now Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it.

26 So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, “O Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made.

27 And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, “Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened.” 28 So they cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them.29 And when midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice; no one answered, no one paid attention.

30 Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down. 31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord had come, saying, “Israel shall be your name.”[b]32 Then with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord; and he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed. 33 And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, “Fill four waterpots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood.” 34 Then he said, “Do it a second time,” and they did it a second time; and he said, “Do it a third time,” and they did it a third time. 35 So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water.

36 And it came to pass, atthe time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word. 37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”

38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.39 Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!”

Why make mention of this Sherline????

I’m telling you that the practice of cutting isn’t a new phenomenon in children today. It was practiced in the days of Elijah by the prophets of Baal (a false god; a demonic entity) and you will find that a lot of the afflictions that run in countries and families to this day can be sourced to ancient practices that are transmitted as curses from one generation to the next. For Ashley, she first heard a “voice” which is obviously demonic in its source when she started to practice cutting. When she engaged in it, she felt ‘relief’ or some sort of ‘high’ after doing it because of the unstable state of her mind at the time. It then ended up being an addictive practice for her to deal with her emotional pain and stress. It became something she unwittingly started to worship and exalt and without realizing that she was now turning the activity into a subtle form of modern-day idol worship. The addiction gave glory to her cutting her flesh until blood flowed which rewarded her addiction with a false sense of temporary “relief” and “security” when what she really needed was some serious help. She never turned to God for help because she was already self-absorbed in it all that she kept it a secret that cutting was the answer to relieve her pain. This is obviously a lie that she now felt convinced was her ‘truth”. Do you see how subtle lies work to train a person into practicing sin by these unhealthy activities?

Cutting is a form of IDOLATRY just as drugs are a form of IDOLATRY and any other addiction for that matter.

You become what you worship.

It makes you wonder doesn’t it… If people aren’t worshiping God then what are people worshiping these days?

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled

In this case…Ashley became a cutter which is something Baal worshipers used to do in the days of Elijah as was their custom. Don’t get me wrong here because I’m NOT implying that Ashley is a Baal worshiper… What I am trying to say is that the origin to this sinful practice of cutting human flesh is demonic in nature and has been passed down from generation to generation as an ongoing generational curse from our fore-fathers, so it isn’t a new phenomenon if you find that people are still engaged in this dangerous activity behind closed doors.

Ecclesiastes 1:9
That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun.

Lamentations 5:7
Our fathers sinned and are no more, and we have borne their iniquities.

If Baal worshipers did it as a customary thing in their worship to a false god then cutters are essentially doing the same thing…they’re worshiping the “relief” that cutting their flesh produces to an extent that over-exalts the knowledge and the truth of God found in Jesus Christ.

John 14:1
[ The Way, the Truth, and the Life ] “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Notice how Ashley didn’t even think to pray to God or even seek help from her family or friends to stop this unhealthy behaviour. She was so self-absorbed in relieving her pain that it didn’t occur to her that she was hurting her family and other people that cared for her. These unhealthy addictions and activities cause people to be blinded to how their behaviors affect other people around them and also they too become blinded to the extent that they cannot see that they also need help. Cutting became such a serious stronghold in Ashley’s mind that it hooked her and silenced her as she remained bound by the oppression of this secretive activity. Notice that her mind was not normal…if such an activity were OK by normal standards…why do it in secret??? These are the types of sins that our young generation are facing to this day that needs to be brought to the fore front and must be confronted with Compassion and Love and Education.

Each time Ashley faced a personal crisis, she turned to cutting rather than calling on God or seek Godly counsel to help her deal with her emotional issues. She had a sister and a mother that were available to listen to her problems, but she didn’t even call on them for help. The practice of cutting is like a drug in that it is a self-absorbed activity that idolizes having “control” and a false sense of “security” with something (an activity) where you have none.

How can one be secure with cutting themselves and yet lack self-control? The act of cutting is in and of itself a blind side contradiction in that it serves no purpose to provide a person “real security”or “self-control” over their emotions. Such self-serving addictions are dangerous in that a person engaged in the activity for a prolonged period of time will essentially become bound by lies that convince them that they do have “self-control”  over their addictions when they don’t, and these lies are the kinds that lead to death. All addictions lead to death. Ashley started to enjoy the feeling of ”relief’ that came from cutting that it ended up being an unhealthy obsessive compulsive behaviour that she tried to hide.

If Ashley’s cutting behavior had not been exposed by her sister, I don’t think you’d be reading this post today about this girl’s victory. You’d probably be reading her grave stone epitaph right about now. This is how serious addiction is people, but unfortunately…this isn’t the only type of activity that is being practiced by youth today in secrecy.

These unhealthy activities that children are getting into these days are becoming alarming. I have heard of some crazy new things that are becoming a fad as of late amongst young teens that live in this age of new technology and innovation. If you are a parent then you have to seriously get in-tune with what’s going on and keep up with what is going on because the devil is finding new things to get young people absorbed in different forms of IDOLATRY and other sins. Sin releases curses that affect people generationally and that is how generational curses continue from seed to seed, from child to grand child etc etc.

Deuteronomy 5:9
you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

Numbers 14:18
The LORD is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’

Friends, if you are a parent or guardian, I think it’s about time that some of us get serious here and start getting involved with your children’s lives.

Recognize the signs of isolation, recognize when a child is acting withdrawn…seek spiritual discernment (which is gift provided by the Holy Spirit) on these areas so that you can pray effectively for your children. Don’t just stop and pray though…you’ve got to be actively involved with their lives to be an effective intercessor. Intercede for them with prayer and be sure that they are involved in a Bible believing church and that you are also a part of their lives as well. A lot of young people don’t communicate these struggles out of fear, guilt and shame. Parents, if you want to reach out to your kids effectively, respond with love rather than condemnation. Show your children that you care for their well being rather than condemning them for being involved in these unhealthy activities. They will shut down and won’t respond to criticism which again fuels continual secrecy, silence and continual practice in the addiction.  Also understand that the times are changing  and the days are evil. You need to get informed of the new fads that are targeting your children today that are essentially killing a generation.  I’ll give you an example….if you don’t know what a sex bracelet is, or the Choking game” or “Car surfing” is by now….then this is how ignorant and out of touch you are of what is going on in youth culture today.

Ignorance kills destiny, wisdom PRESERVES LIFE.

Proverbs 10:27
The fear of the LORD prolongs days, But the years of the wicked will be shortened.

Proverbs 14:27
The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death.

All I am saying is that it’s one thing to discuss healing and deliverance for an individual… but if you are unaware of what some people are struggling with…how can you know what they need to be healed and be delivered from?????How can you know what to pray for???

Education is key here and research is key. My message is that we need to start getting some knowledge of current day practices if we want to effectively minister to someone that is going through some struggles that are unfamiliar and new territory for us.  We have to fear God enough to purpose to change the current status quo of a dying generation of the world’s solutions. Children are the solutions to our future…but we must step up and protect them with the same zeal as how Moses – the deliverer for the Children of Israel was protected as a baby and how even our Savior Jesus was protected as his life hung in the balance by Herod’s blood lust to abort His destiny at the expense of other children’s lives which was to become the Saviour of the World.

Final Word: Let’s pray and get educated about the new trends that are keeping people bound in silence out of fear, guilt and shame so that we can be effective at interceding for the current generation that needs covering so that they can all rise up to meet their full potential.

 Romans 8:19 (NIV)

19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

Let us not lose the generation rising to ignorance and become well informed and strategic in our spiritual warfare. Show children that God loves them and that HE wants them to be Healed and Delivered and set free from the oppression of addiction and other unhealthy activities by getting involved in their lives and learn to engage them in open discussions that involve some real talk. Dispel the lies that they are being fed out there with the TRUTH as your weapon of Spiritual warfare. Fight for them so that they live because Jesus did that for us so we should do the same.

I have a song today in reflection to this post by  Kierra”Kiki” Sheard called “Let Go”. May it minister to you today. God bless you everybody!

The Tree of life can’t co-habit with the a tree of Death – The Story about Weed

Count the Cost of Addiction

Hi Everybody!

This is a message from Poet Jackie Hill from Passion for Christ Movement (P4CM) regarding the drug called Weed – Marijuana, Cannabis.

Drugs is an addiction that plagues our young generation. She dispels the lies of it through her Spoken word. The way I see it, You can’t combine these two trees in your life. You can’t serve two masters….You either serve one or the other. So in this case…what or who are people serving when it comes to addictions?

The tree of life (Jesus Christ and the Gospel) cannot co-habit with this tree of death (Drugs and/or other addictions).

Drugs are a form of idolatry in that the addiction makes it become like a god to people in that they worship it and it always accompanies further sin, such as lust, debauchery, revelry, violence, theft, etc. Trying to legalize death makes no sense to me. Yes, I think drugs equal death or a path that gets you there faster. It’s amazing how people can fight for such a law to be put into place in the first place while knowing the very implications of instituting it into practice further facilitates more sin into the land that will come with dire consequences and opens the door for further sinful laws to be instituted…I am of the opinion that it’s equivalent to legalizing suicide to me. I know what I’m saying seems far out there…but think about it…what is driving people to go crazy enough to even think of instituting such a law such as the legalization of a drug you know very well is assisting suicide in my opinion. It may be a slow process but it is what it is. This isn’t just for drugs in general but it is for every other type of addiction. Addictions lead to death so consider this as you watch the video.

If you are a Christian and you struggle with drug addiction, I’m telling you that you are feeding your spirit with death where God wants you to have abundant life. Some people take drugs for many reasons but the most important thing to know is that drugs of any kind (I’m not talking medical drugs here), will kill you in the long run and your addiction to it will cause you to reach 6 ft under faster. I’m not trying to scare you, but the truth is scary so I hope that this message reaches out to people who are involved with the struggle. Go to a crisis intervention centre and check yourself in if you are battling addiction. Confess that you have a problem and then be really real with yourself about it. The last thing you need to be is in-denial.

Some people might get offended with this message and that’s ok….BE OFFENDED…because if you think what I’m saying is whack… I’m here to tell you that the devil is laughing at you for continuing to enjoy the death amusement ride that you’re traveling on in your in-denial zone way of thinking. This isn’t a debate either… death is excited when you celebrate it in your weed parties (or any drug for that matter, including cigarettes)…you may get a high off of the drug, but that high is at the serious expense of your very own soul. I’m telling you that God is grieved over those traveling this road of self-deception. So please…I implore those going through this struggle, be real and honest with yourself and work your salvation out with fear and trembling. Don’t continue to have an open door for death to keep visiting each time you take a puff or a needle or with whatever addiction you may be struggling with that may not even be drug related. Your body is a temple, If God isn’t co-habitating with you….what and who is?

Seek help, confide in some elders or ministers in the church if your a Christian, and if you are not, seek help anyway and you can start at a crisis centre for drug addiction etc, or tell somebody that you need help and let them guide you to where you need to go. Do what you have to do in order to overcome the addictions you suffer and struggle within your life. You can’t do this by yourself, so don’t isolate yourself and seek help.   As the saying goes, “There is strength in numbers” so go and get help from people who can aide you out of the addiction. Call a crisis hotline or something…but you’ve got to do something before the addiction spirals out of control. Your life is hanging in the balance in the grand scheme of things. It’s either you live a life full of purpose or you drain it with activities that lead you down the wrong path towards DEATH. Think about it and act on what you need to do now to overcome your struggles. Fight for your LIFE!

Here is a song from Trip-lee called Robot. He’s a gospel rap artist for those not used this type of music. He’s message is still really rather amazing. Enjoy the video.

I also have one more song that is speaking to me and I hope it blesses you today. It’s from C.H.R.I.S. called Victorious. It is such an awesome song. Trust me it will bless you today!
