The Stone Rolled Away!

Hello Everybody! Happy Resurrection Sunday! He is Risen! 😀

I have missed blogging for a while. Honestly, the past few weeks have been challenging for me. I’ve been wanting to write but have been finding it really hard to for several reasons. It’s been insanely busy at work for me and I’ve had some ups and downs and I think the stress has affected me on an emotional and spiritual level that I battled many moments of depression, and moments where I felt high just dropped to serious lows. I also haven’t been sleeping all that well either with nightmares just piling up on me on top of all the stuff I’ve had to do. I’ve been drowning with negative thoughts and I know that what I’m facing is spiritual warfare and that I’m having mind battles with work and my ministry. I think only worship music gives me peace at such difficult times so I saturate my soul in worship.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m on the right track at all, but I know that this forces me to stay truly reliant towards God when I feel weak, tired and beat up with negative thoughts and emotions. I’m smiling on the outside but screaming on the inside. I call this battle fatigue. Sometimes, the strength one can only muster is increasing their faith in the One who can handle all these issues by casting your burdens unto the Lord. I feel like that is the only thing I can do to keep moving forward. I appreciate any prayers of intercession on my behalf and thank you all in advance, everybody 🙂 .

Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

My favourite scripture that keeps me moving forward is from Philippians 3:13-14 – 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

God is still amazing to me and that’s why I have to trust Him more. On a positive note, I went and watched Batman vs Superman this weekend because I’m a superheros fan growing up reading DC/Marvel comics since I was in my diapers (ok I’m exaggerating here) but the movie was all out awesome! 😀 I thought I would be disappointed, but it was off the hook. I totally recommend y’all to watch it if you’re a fan like myself. 😀

So the movie got me thinking, people love the concept of a “Saviour” that saves people from evil and in this movie you have 3 characters that have the “Saviour” characteristics intertwined in their identity which are Batman, Superman and the introduction to the lovely Wonder Woman. *woot woot* 😀

Why do people love the concept of a Saviour? Although I love these superhero characters, they all have weaknesses. I won’t add spoilers to this blog post so do not worry, but what I will say is that Superman’s weakness is Kryptonite and Batman is a mortal that can die. They may have supernatural strength and abilities to do the impossible, but the truth is, they can all die. This brings me to my next point that I shared with the members in my church today; as amazing as these imaginary superheros are at playing the “Saviour” for mankind, they can all die. They cannot defeat death. They maybe able to evade it masterfully at times, but they cannot defeat death itself. They fight many super villains, but they still cannot conquer Death.

There is Good news though everybody! We serve a Saviour that defeated Death and His name is Jesus Christ. 🙂

resurrection-of-jesus_christ_.jpgJesus shows us that through His resurrection, that not even a stone can keep Him from rising up on the third day. The grave Stone rolled away shows us that death is symbolic of every situation, limitation, challenge that you face in your life. Certain dreams that you may have had are probably still buried inside of you due to discouragement, trauma, disappointment etc, but God is saying today, that: “Look at my Son, He can roll away every limitation, every disappointment, every discouragement, every dead dream or any dead thing that is in your life and resurrect it back to life with His power.”

The only thing you need to do is BELIEVE.

John 3:16 [Full Chapter]

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

I can tell you that I have struggled to believe God in certain areas in my life and in some cases I still continue to struggle with those areas, but this revelation about the stone rolling away gave me hope to believe that those things that I’ve buried in my heart can resurrect and be brought back to life. Some of you may have many dormant dreams that have yet to be realized, but allow God to roll away the stone of discouragement, the stone that tries to keep all these promises that He has for you locked away in your heart from becoming a reality. Ask God to roll away this stone that is operating in your life from allowing a dream to become a true reality.

When Jesus was buried, many people thought that that was the end. Mary and Martha who were followers were discouraged to see the grave empty, but that was the true Victory of Jesus. Death had lost its power of all God’s people. Death had lost its sting.

“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”

So my encouragement to you who is reading is that Resurrection is not just about the fact that Jesus rose from the dead, but that He lives inside of you and you now know that the power that works inside of you is able to resurrect dead things back to life. You can now operate with unlimited potential and power to make any dream become a reality. Jesus is saying, that “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.” This Way, this Truth and this Life is inside of you so you have everything you need to roll away any stone of limitation in your life to make what seemed impossible to become possible, Amen! 🙂

Jesus’ Resurrection is about making the impossible possible for all mankind. No Superhero has that power except Jesus Christ. That’s why we must give God the highest praise. He is an awesome God! 😀

Here is a song by Elevation Worship called Resurrecting.  I pray that it blesses your spirit today. God bless you everybody. 😀

Keep Your Lights On

Hello People! 🙂

I’m still on vacation and had the privilege of experiencing an evening without electricity throughout the whole neighbourhood and probably the whole city.  This experience has inspired my new post for today. The message is to keep your lights on. What do I mean by that? Listen people, when you travel in darkness which equals “ignorance” by the way, you simply don’t know where in the world you are going.

672861679dfc4e8844711fe3e7772700Even Jesus says this:

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Jesus also warns us and says this:

Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.

The Light of God which equals “Knowledge” is what you need in order to know which path you ought to take. Jesus is the light of Truth, and He himself confirms this by declaring that He is the way, the truth and the life in:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

If we walk in darkness/ignorance, the Truth cannot be in us. Ignorance of the truth causes us to lose our way in life.

If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

darknessWe cannot afford to be blinded by the Truth. The truth is what sets us free, but if you are walking in darkness you most certainly are bound by lies. Darkness cannot reveal to you what is lurking in the dark. When the light shines, revelation comes because you can now see. Why do you think it says in the Bible that when the blind man was healed of his blindness by Jesus that he could now say that though he was blind he could now see? It is because Jesus is the hope revealed; He is the Truth, He is the Life and He is the Way.

He answered and said, “Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.”

The Lord keeps saying that “for a Lack of Knowledge”, which I will rephrase to say, “…for a Lack of Light, My People perish”.
REMEMBER THIS:
Light = Revelation/Knowledge/Truth/Life/Love.
Darkness = Concealment/Ignorance/Lies/Death/Hate.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

efe21eab8ab2a64ae4402d4c47380181It is so important to tap into the knowledge of the Lord and how do you do that? By Meditating on His Word day and night. If you don’t tap into the knowledge of Christ, you will be forgotten and your children will be forgotten also just because you chose the path of ignorance. Ignorance is not profitable for your soul.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.

You can’t fight what you don’t know. You need knowledge of who your adversary is in order to fight effectively. You cannot operate by presumption…you need to operate in wisdom through the power of the Holy Spirit. Those that operate in presumption often lead themselves into a darker pit of trouble. Do not assume anything. Act like you don’t know everything and learn to lean on the Lord for wisdom. Our limited knowledge base cannot handle the types of attacks that are headed our way. Do not rely on past battles as references to future ones. The future ones may or should I say will be ones that you cannot even fathom or think could happen to you. However, I will say remember your past victories and recognize that those victories had one theme in common, God was in the plan. Make sure that with whatever you do in life, make sure that God is in your plan. If God isn’t in it…then my friend, you will walk in a place of ignorance in the battle and you will incur losses. Jesus is who will preserve your life. Remember when I say that JESUS is the Way the Truth and the LIFE.

I’ll give you an example. There was a cave that I wanted to visit on my vacation that is a pretty famous tourist spot. However, I am aware that many tourists go missing from that location because as beautiful as that place is there is a lot of spiritual history about that place. It is said that if you say foolish things in that place you will go missing. I’ve been making it a plan to go there because my family has been there before, but for some reason, I felt a great foreboding about going there for the past few days. Even my sister who is with me felt it and couldn’t shake it off. I couldn’t shake the feeling off until the day I was supposed to go and had to make a wise decision and cancelled the trip to go to that place.

Listen, I knew it was the Holy Spirit warning me not to go there. Whenever I feel the unction of the Holy Spirit to do or not do something, I simply listen. I don’t ask questions. This is not an occasion where you come with your pride as a “Christian” and assume that simply because you believe in Christ that you can ignore the voice of the Holy Spirit. That is disobedience and Arrogance cannot preserve your life, the wisdom provided by the Holy Spirit can. God won’t back your disobedience when He warns you not to do something through the power of the Holy Spirit so learning to listen and obey God’s voice when He tells you to do something.

As a result, I did not go to that cave since I trust the voice of the Holy Spirit. You don’t need to know everything that God asks you to do, you just need to have the Faith to Trust in His leading. Do you Trust in God’s Leading? Obedience is key here folks.

A story about some tourists who went there to prove that there was nothing to be afraid of concerning that cave went swimming in the pool that is found in that cave, which was what they were warned not to do by the locals who are familiar with the area. As a result, one member of that party of friends went missing because they ignored the locals warnings about how spiritual that cave was and the warnings to not do something stupid. To this day, they cannot find that fellow even though they hired an experienced rescue dive search party to locate their friend. The whole incident was very unfortunate, but this is the result of IGNORANCE. I acted on knowledge and therefore, my life was preserved. Those that act on ignorance….death is sure to follow them.

How many times have you traveled into a dangerous place that you were told or felt you shouldn’t go and still went anyways and found yourself in a precarious situation? It is so important to not act on presumption. Remain humble and learn to follow your gut instincts which most likely is the Holy Spirit talking to you and asking you to listen to His voice when making a decision about something important. Keep your lights on! Keep operating in the wisdom of the Lord, ALWAYS. It says in His Word that:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Learn to put your trust in God who is able to show you the way when hope seems bleak. When you don’t know where you are going, Lean on God again. He will direct your path.

Here is a song by Lauren Daigle called Light of the World. It’s not to be confused with the other song that some people know with the same title. May this Song bless your spirit today. Love y’all 😀

Speaking through the Silence

Hi Everybody!

Today I have a song from Anthony Evans that is soooooo awesome! It’s called Silence. Sometimes  when we wait on God to speak to us to show us where we need to go, especially when we need some direction we have to understand that sometimes God speaks through us in the silence. Sometimes the answer is so plain and so obvious that it can only be found in the quiet, in the stillness and in the silence. We are activity-minded beings that find learning to be still to be a difficult skill to harness when we are so busy in our thought processes and are impatient in waiting for the answer.Waiting requires FAITH.

When we cultivate a heart that is ready to hear even in the silence, that is when we hear clearly. So today, learn what it means to wait, to be patient, and to be still because such an attitude comes from a heart of faith, obedience and humility. The microwave society that we live in doesn’t allow for such virtues of faith to be cultivated because we want instant results, instant gratification and instant answers to our problems, but we are not of this world, we are Kingdom dominionaires. We are Children of the most High God and everything that requires a divine answer from the Heavenlies requires a special attitude of grace to be patient, kind, long-suffering, loving, humble, still obedient and faithful to the very end. Let this song minister to your heart today and consider that in the silence, God hears the cry of your heart and He is faithful to those who are faithful in waiting on Him to respond. He will never leave you nor forsake you. God Bless you everybody!

One Small Step at a Time

Hi Everybody!

Well, today I have an inspirational video for you. It’s about how we define our goals and how we view our journey to achieve them. I know that there are so many things I’d like to accomplish and sometimes we can be discouraged by the obstacles we face. Some things require resources, access to networks etc etc but I have decided to take each day at a time to achieve them. Each day leads you closer to fulfilling your goal. Things don’t happen overnight but with preparation, research, and seeking out the wise counsel that you need to fulfill your goal, the path becomes clearer. I think that sometimes when we want to pursue monumental changes in our lives we think we can achieve them quickly by just a decision, but decisions are the first step and then preparations and careful planning help to build towards that goal. When you have a vision of where you want to go or what you want to achieve, write it down and make it plain so that you always have it set before you. Sometimes your dreams can be ridiculed by those that can’t see your vision, but that’s ok because I think people need to aim for the things that haven’t been done before. Such things bring impossibles into the possible realms in our lives and births out further exploration and inspiration. So remain focused, remain encouraged and take each day one small step at a time. Stay Blessed Everybody!

Maintain your Hope for it is the Tree of Life

Proverbs 13:12
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.

Hi everybody,

This is going to be rather a short reflection today but I just wanted to say that when we are hoping for something, we can face so much in our life that causes this hope to singe out like a flickering light that burns out like a dying flame.

Hope is a flame and in order to keep it burning, we have to fuel this flame with Faith.

Now, I know that in certain situations where people face serious adversities such as war, famine, terrorism, threats of death, slavery, abuse, human rights violations, loss of loved ones, grief, etc, such hope seems dismal if not completely and virtually non-existent in ones experience to such painful circumstances. Fear traps a heart in this sickness where hope is devoid in a person. When hope comes, the heart heals because it is given reason to believe again. This is the tree of life that is spoken about in this verse posted above from the book of Proverbs. Jesus is the Tree of life for us since He is the True Vine and we are His Branches extended to do the same for our brothers and sisters since we have Christ in us the HOPE of Glory (John 15:1-8). It is our mandate to be the hope that this world needs to see in our lifetime.

Romans 5:2
through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Colossians 1:27
To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

The Truth of the Word is the resurrecting power of the Word that we need to use in our lives to fuel hope in people’s hearts.  A longing fulfilled is a tree of life but when hope is absent, the heart suffers crumbling Faith that is devoid of such hope. So when you see someone struggling, when you see the fire in their eyes dimming because of that loss of hope, when you see the anguish and pain of anothers suffering that sees no hope of relief, no hope of salvation, no reason to continue living, God expects us to be faithful enough to step in to fuel that fire of hope in a person again.

This is how we intercede for someone by stepping in the Gap through prayer and action.

This is the faith that drives us to life individuals back to life since according to the Word we are not only Sons of God but we are also Sons of the Resurrection. So I challenge you today to be the hope for a persons sick heart today. The Resurrecting power of Christ is in us to  fulfill this mandate because Jesus blessed us with the help of the Holy Spirit to satisfy this call.

Hope stirs people to believe where unbelief was present.

Hope stirs faith in people where there was lack.

Hope brings back to life all that seems dead, so as joint heirs with Christ, we must strive to be the hope that this world needs to see.

'THE TRUE VINE' by Anthony James

Hope can only be demonstrated by action. It could be something small like a telephone call, a word of encouragement, a word of knowledge, a visitation, a donation, an embrace, a listening ear, a kind and gentle gesture, a letter, or a helping hand (volunteering), etc. Hope in action is Love in action and perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

Love heals, love restores and Love gives rise to hope and Faith  which strengthens ones belief.

If a person has no reason to believe in anything anymore, it is because they have yet to experience this level of Love and this level of hope that can restore ones Faith to believe again.

When I had suicidal thoughts a few years ago, it was because I thought everything was hopeless. But when I pressed on holding onto that one last shred of hope left within me with the little but dying faith I had, it was this hope that I held onto which was that nearly dying flame that maintained my faith in the end. If that flame had blown out during the darkest moments in my life, I think I would not be here today typing up this post to be at least that voice that cries out for another to still keep your faith alive! Keep your hope alive no matter what! So today, I just want to let you know that no matter how bleak your situation may seem, no matter how many people may fail you in this life, keep holding onto that last shred of hope you have in the Lord even in your most painful of circumstances. That shred of hope could mean the difference beween life or death and when I mean Life or death, I mean yours.

Love preserves Life through demonstrated Hope in Action.

Jesus loved us enough to die for us in order to be the hope that we needed to see in this life so that we could be redeemed. We all  have that redemptive power in Christ to life people back to life with that same Spirit of hope in us. This Spirit is the HOLY SPIRIT also known as the Helper (John 14:26; John 16:7; John 15:26; John 14:16).

Be that Light that Shines in the Darkness because that Light is what fuels greater Faith.

I have a song for you today to minister to you from Kirk Franklin called Better from his Hero CD. Stay blessed everybody!

A Situation of Faith – Staying Saved

Hello everybody!

Today my meditation is a continuation of my last post regarding Job and how much we claim to “really love the Lord”. Now in this post I’m going to probably ruffle a few feathers as I speak some truth out here in this post. The truth isn’t intended to harm but to reveal that which remains hidden. We have to yield to the power that wisdom gives in keeping us from remaining vulnerable in ignorance when wisdom sheds light into a situation that produces the truth. We have to address difficult topics at times in order to remain humble and real with ourselves. So I am just stating that as a warning for the ones who may be offended with what I’m about to say when I’m speaking on the topic of Salvation.

Salvation – What is Salvation?

sal·va·tion  (sl-vshn)

n.

1. a. Preservation or deliverance from destruction, difficulty, or evil.
    b. A source, means, or cause of such preservation or deliverance.
2. Christianity

     a. Deliverance from the power or penalty of sin; redemption through JESUS CHRIST.
     b. The agent or means that brings about such deliverance.

Now let me just say that as followers of Christ as “Christians”, it is assumed that we follow in the footsteps of the One in Whom we Believe which is our Savior and LORD Jesus Christ. I also stated in my previous post How Much Do We Love God? – The Fear of the Lord that Satan has no reason to attack the already UNBELIEVING Christians since unbelief is enough to separate us from our God.

Yes, it is possible to be a Christian and yet be unbelieving. *shock* *gasp* –“Say it ain’t so Sherline!!!!!!” I’m sorry but it’s TRUE.

Some people start off believing after they get saved…but sometimes the adversities of life can shake a person’s faith and cause one to stumble. Some stumble for a short time in their wavering faith and some stumble greatly and permanently and at times don’t recover from the fall at all. Although we can stumble in our journey, I want you to know that we can stand back up again and return on the journey that is set before us, but some people when they get hit and smacked down, they stay down and some just completely divert from the path and turn away completely. This is an issue of backsliding and also an issue of wavering faith that leads to unbelief – The major killer of destiny. This also ties back to my other post regarding what type of SEED are you and what SOIL are you in?????

The path of a Christian isn’t a simple “walk in the park” friends, I’m sorry to say. In fact, I didn’t expect such trials in my life to enter after I found Jesus Christ at the age of 15 because I had already been through some heavy things prior to salvation that I did not expect an even heavier battle that lay ahead of me. I have found that in my own journey I have had a “Peter’s Denial of Jesus” experience and in many ways, I was shocked beyond belief that I was capable of doing so, but that’s because the things I was facing were soo mind-breaking and heart-breaking for me that I was almost losing my mind. At such points as Christians, we have to understand that the battles we face will cause us to answer this one but very important question that needs to always be  in our heart as we walk in the Spirit:

How far are you willing to go and stay with GOD and Stand with GOD? – seriously consider this question people. This isn’t the type of question that elicits a “spiritual answer“. Speak truthfully and really search deep before you answer…because your answer will be TESTED. Never forget that.

Adversities are there to shape our character even though they can be quite rough and soul-breaking. Our Spirit is strengthened when we go through the tests. Peter went through it when he denied his association with Jesus during the time of Jesus’ arrest before that day at Calvary.

Peter exemplifies that it is POSSIBLE to be a follower of Christ and yet Deny Him when Troubles come to Test our FAITHFULNESS. Peter believed in Jesus, but when he denied him three times in a crowd of witnesses, that was the Test of his Character that revealed an area of weakness in his level of Faith to remain COMMITTED even when faced with the threat of PERSECUTION.  I know that I’ve had my Peter moment and have discovered that wow…Faith in Jesus simply isn’t just following the Lord, it’s a question of standing and staying with HIM in the end. How far are we willing to GO?

There is HOPE folks.

Peter was redeemed and so can we. If you have ever encountered a “Peter moment” in your life, know that you can still be redeemed. The whole idea is to STAY SAVED. We may stumble along the way in our walk but GOD is saying, “I can redeem you no matter how many times you may stumble through my Son JESUS CHRIST”.

Peter was restored in John 21:15-19 Lets Read:

Jesus Restores Peter

15 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah,[b] do you

love Me more than these?”

He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”

He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”

16 He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah,[c] do you love Me?”

He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”

He said to him, “Tend My sheep.”

17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah,[d] do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”

And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.”

Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep. 18 Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.” 19 This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, “Follow Me.”

Here we see that Jesus is speaking to Peter addressing his personal commitment to remain with the Lord. Jesus didn’t just ask Peter once whether or not Peter loved Him. He asked him at least 3 times because it’s easy to claim that we “Love the Lord” so rashly, but do we really? Are we really committed to Him? I also think that the reason why Jesus asks Peter several times concerning whether or not he loves Jesus is so that Peter really hears what he is saying in his claim. He has to be sure of his love for the Lord since he was so rash earlier in his claim that he would never deny Jesus prior to His arrest  and yet he did deny Him 3 times  in the end in (Matthew 26:35) and (Mark 14:31).

Peter’s words were TESTED and so shall our words be if we make such claims in our “Love for the Lord”. Peter did fail in that test but even though he failed, Jesus still had the compassion to redeem him after he resurrected from the grave, hence these questions of Peter’s Love were to address his level of Faith and commitment to the Lord after the fact.

Notice that:

1. Peter denied Jesus 3 times (Matthew 26:34, Matthew 26:75; Mark 14:30; Mark 14:72; Luke 22:34;Luke 22:61)

2. Jesus asked Peter whether or not he loved Him 3 times;

3. Peter affirmed his love for the Lord Jesus 3 times;

4. Jesus restores Peter by giving him 3 Instructions to tend to the flock and redeems him by grace in order for Peter to answer to the call in his life to build the church in  (Matthew 16:18).

What can you learn from this?

For every time we fail, God takes each failure into account and leaves no room for Satan to accuse us on the same failure as he addresses each failure one by one in order to restore us in right standing.

The Last instruction Jesus gives – “FOLLOW ME” completes Peter’s redemption to walk again as a BELIEVER of Christ and as a son of God, as he later operates in the freedom that Salvation in Christ brings with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah! Can you imagine what would have happened if Peter was not restored by the forgiving grace of Jesus?????? I praise God that Peter was restored because he is one disciple-turned -to- Apostle that knew how to equip the Church for Spiritual Warfare when persecution became the threat to the rise of Gods Kingdom being established on earth by the rise of  the Church of God; the rise of the Christ-believers;  the rise of the Christians.

Friends, I believe that God is always going to Test us in our level of Faith and Commitment to Him in our walk. We will encounter what I call the “PETER TEST of Faith” in our walk at some point in our journey because the Devil is always seeking to sift us as wheat (Luke 22:31). The great thing about the Peter Test is that we also discover our weaknesses early enough in our walk in order to work on strengthening our Faith so that we can be restored in right standing with our Lord. The key term is RIGHT STANDING. We have to stand up again no matter how many times we fail. The devil would rather you stay down or not return on the path of Salvation but Jesus wants us to live a life of abundance so don’t beat yourself up and cause yourself to remain grounded when GOD is commanding you to GET UP AGAIN!

Peter was called the ROCK that would build the Church (Matthew 16:18). When Jesus came to restore Peter, He gave him instructions:

1. “Feed my Lambs” (John 21:15)- basically work with the young believers in Christ (the born again Christians) that need the WORD of GOD and teach them the basics  in order to lead them in their journey to spiritual maturity as they GROW in FAITH in the WORD of GOD.

2.”Tend my Sheep” (John 21:16)- Work with the mature Christians believers and guide them in their journeys to follow the WORD of GOD as they also will encounter similar experiences as you once did and tribulations that will test their level and measure of faith in the WORD of GOD.

3. Feed my Sheep” (John 21:17) – the Mature Christians still need to work with BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES so preach the WORD of GOD to them so that they can continue in their Spiritual Growth and gain more knowledge, understanding and wisdom as they go from strength to strength and glory to glory knowing who they are in Christ.

4. “Follow me” (John 21:19) – Never forget in Whom you believe and remember that the Lord Jesus Christ is always with you in your Journey as you continue to walk with Him through tests and trials and tribulations.

I believe that these instructions that Jesus gave to Peter strengthened his spirit as he acknowledged that Jesus didn’t condemn him in his weakness, He merely pointed out the areas of  Peter’s weakness that he needed to deal with so that he could work on it as he continues to grow in his journey as a FOLLOWER of CHRIST.

My message today is that God is saying,  “I want to REDEEM you ALL who have fallen short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

You can be redeemed if you fix your eyes on Jesus and learn to stand up again from your trials and times of testing. Recognize your weaknesses, accept the forgiveness of our Lord Jesus and learn to understand that Jesus knows your weaknesses before you make them, but He doesn’t want you to be destroyed by self-condemnation as is the devil’s plan is in our lives. He wants to restore you back on the road and FOLLOW HIM just like he commanded Peter. Peter equipped the CHURCH as he rose to answer the Call in His life after Jesus restored Him through forgiveness, so God wants us to equip ourselves and be restored in RIGHT STANDING with HIM by accepting His Forgiveness to you TODAY.

Don’t let the devil take you away from the LOVE of the LORD. Remember that the devil is an ACCUSER of the Brethren (Revelation 12:10)…but God is our kinsman REDEEMER!  BE REDEEMED TODAY and let all of the REDEEMED SAY SO!

To end this meditation, I have this amazing song from Canton Jones and it’s a song called Stay Saved. It’s a great song with a theatrical characterization of how we walk each day when people try to offend us and get us stirred to do the wrong thing in our daily lives. I found the video rather entertaining. Enjoy everybody and Stay blessed because GOD LOVES YOU!

How Much Do We Love God? – The Fear of the Lord

Hello Everybody!

Spring is finally arrived and it is a glorious morning! Praise be to GOD! Even though it is kinda foggy out there, it is such a blessed morning because this is the day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it. Winter is finally OVER! Somebody give me a shout! HALLELUJAH!!!!!! Ok…so that was my lovely outburst for today. I’m sure that woke you up but it’s sooo awesome!!!!  YAY!!!!!You must know by now that for all those that have been following my blog, I celebrate Spring more than Winter…and if I had the seasons in my way…I’d have spring all year through but of course God is the maker so I respect the beginning and the end of all these seasons. Phew…got that one off my chest lol.

So today I was reading a few Chapters from the book of Job this morning and what really got me going is how Satan kept petitioning God to test how much Job “Feared” the Lord. Let me tell you that God really loved Job indisputably because of the way he reverenced the Lord. Job was a humble man and a man of stature that made him in a way the exception to most people in the bible. His level of Humility is indeed much to be admired, but it’s not enough for us to admire it, we have to be an example of that level of humility too. This is the conclusion I drew upon after reading just chapter 1 of the book of Job.

He Feared God soo much that he would go so far as to burn sacrifices as a covering for his family just in case his family (in particular his children) had sinned against God. The man is commendable in that he knew how to maintain his integrity before the Lord because he understood that the FEAR OF THE LORD is the beginning of all Wisdom and fools despise such wisdom and run quickly to do evil.

Job 28:28
And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’”

Let’s read a bit from the Book of Job:

Job 1:6-22

Satan Attacks Job’s Character

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan[b] also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?”

So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”

So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”

12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”

So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

Job Loses His Property and Children

13 Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house; 14 and a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them, 15 when the Sabeans[c] raided them and took them away—indeed they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

16 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

17 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three bands, raided the camels and took them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

18 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house, 19 and suddenly a great wind came from across[d] the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

20 Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. 21 And he said:

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

22 In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.

Well, after reading that over and over…I thought to myself…How much do I really love the LORD? Have you ever asked that question to yourself?

Satan has no need to attack already “weak Christians”, and by weak I mean unbelieving christians because…if you don’t believe in God or lose your faith in God along your walk, then you’ve got to question…are you still a “Christian”? A Christian by definition means Believer of Christ so if you lose faith in Jesus along the way…do you still maintain your postion as a Christian? Seriously think about it.

I know what I’m saying sounds like a terrible question, but I have had a few attacks in my life that made me question my Christianity as a person and it’s NOT “if” the attack comes, it’s “WHEN”!

I have found that Satan typically appears when he recognizes the strong Christian, the steadfast, the unwavering, the one that FEARS GOD the most above every man. Such a Christian is someone he finds worth contending with. The key word here is WORTH. Measure your WORTH in GOD’s eyes. If you are a believer, you are worth contending with as far as Satan is concerned, but your Worth is only measured by your CUP of FAITH in Jesus Christ, Son of GOD. I keep saying in different posts, “measure your CUP”. If your cup is running on empty…then my friend, you need to reassess your life. If your cup is overflowing, then you need to enlarge your vessel for greater Glory because to much that is given, much is required of you.

God finds us to be of so much worth to HIM that HE sent His Son Jesus to die for us, how much WORTH do we find in our LORD JESUS CHRIST?????

Luke 12:48
But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

Job was a rich man prior to the petition by Satan against his life. When we go through trials, we must understand that our Character will be tested…it’s not an option, it is mandatory that our Character in Christ will be tested. Sometimes, the testing and trials will come like waves beating at each other one after the other after the other after the other until we are driven to a corner and at such moments the only question that we will be left to answer is DO YOU STILL LOVE THE LORD despite the TRIAL that you have just endured? Job went through it in Job 1: 14-19 so surely…who’s to say we won’t go through such testing ourselves?

Some people love what I call the “perks” of Christianity such as the Hedge of Protection, the Full Armor of God, Prosperity, Peace, Blessings etc, but they detest the TESTS that must come forth to shape us into the likeness of our GOD. Don’t detest the test because it is through this test that our Image is molded and crafted by the Potters Hands, our Father GOD.

Isaiah 64:8
But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.

Today, think on what it means to REALLY LOVE THE LORD with all your HEART, MIND and SOUL.

Tests will come but they are not intended to break you, they are there to shape you into what GOD calls you to be which is to be a son/daughter of GOD. If you want to be God’s People, you have to endure the tests. Walking with GOD is one thing, but the question is to what extent are we willing to Stay and Stand with HIM?

Friends, I say all of this with much FEAR and Trembling. I know that I personally dislike tests, especially the difficult ones I’ve had to endure….but I feel in my spirit that I had to say this today so that we understand that when we face difficult situations, GOD IS WITH YOU THROUGH IT ALL as hard as that may seem to be to accept. GOD doesn’t abandon His Favored Flock so just know that GOD IS WITH YOU ALWAYS even in the midst of the Trial. Satan would like to discredit your relationship with Him, but it’s up to you to prove Satan wrong in the midst of your trials.  In the end, to be a Christian means Standing with GOD through the Good and the Bad, much like a Marriage Vow. Don’t divorce along the way, remain COMMITTED and demonstrate your Love for God Today and everyday.

I have a song that is playing in my head at the moment to end this meditation by  Israel Houghton and New Breed called Breath into Me. Let everything that has breath, PRAISE THE LORD!PRAISE THE LORD! GOD BLESS YOU TODAY EVERYBODY!

2 Corinthians 6:3-5 (NKJV)

We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed. But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings;

Ephesians 3:13
Therefore I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

2 Thessalonians 1:3-5 (NKJV)

God’s Final Judgment and Glory

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure, which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer;

Proverbs 14:9
Fools mock at sin, But among the upright there is favor.

Psalm 5:12
For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

2012 – Becoming Vessels of Honor – Walking with Eternity in Mind

As we enter in to 2012, we must leave what’s past behind us for we cannot change that which is already past. Instead, we must proceed to the future with Eternity in mind. You cannot assume that each day will last forever, since life is but a fleeting moment as I mentioned in my previous post. Walking with Eternity in mind means your present actions; your NOW actions, will affect your destiny in the future and the only way to determine where you want to be is to purpose to do the things that will get you to the place that God has destined you to go. Seek to change what needs to change NOW and start working on it now rather than later because the Goal in this life is to fulfill your life’s God-given Destiny. You are no accident, you were created with a purpose in this life. Eternity leaves a trail of Legacies and although we have our own personal heroes, eg. Michael Jackson, Steve Jobs, Pope John Paul II, Mother Theresa etc etc, whomever they maybe, understand that their race has already ended and you can only focus on the most important one who is running which is YOU.

Philippians 3: 12-16

Pressing Toward the Goal

12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. 16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule,[b] let us be of the same mind.

We are all running a race and some haven’t picked up speed yet because they are too busy looking at what is past, what has been left behind. Legacy makers expect you to take on the baton and complete the work they have already started. Finish the race!

I’m sure that many of us have “New Years Resolutions” and goals that they want to fulfill, however, let us not forget what is important and that is the continuous focus for self-improvement. I entitled this Post “Becoming Vessels of Honor” for a reason, and that is because we need to start thinking about why we are here on this Earth in the first place.

Do you have any idea what your purpose on Earth is at this moment? Have you asked God what your true destiny is at this time?

Sometimes we get so busy watching others running their own race that we haven’t realized that we ourselves have stopped running. We cannot afford to put down our batons.

This New Year of 2012, focus on becoming a Vessel of Honor. You must be asking me what do you mean by that?

God is the Potter, We are the Clay and He can Mold us to be what we are destined to be if we allow ourselves to be malleable enough to allow Him to form us into His Image and Likeness.

A Vessel of Honor is one that:

Upholds Integrity over Reputation- Exercises Sound judgement and Self-Control (Galatians 5:21-23; Titus 1:7-9; 2 Peter 1:6).

Seeks Gods Face on a Personal basis- Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33).

Worships Him in Spirit and in Truth – God inhabits in the Praises of His People (Psalms 22:3)

Reads the Word, Meditates on the Word and Learns to Live by the Word – this is a daily affair and an ongoing process to transform, renew, and be reborn into His likeness (Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 3:18).

Operates with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit or seeks to do so – Destined to Edify and Build the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:4; 1 Corinthians 14:12)

Is Moved by Gods Spirit and not the Flesh – Purpose holiness rather than Godlessness, it is an ongoing battle to subject ourselves to the obedience of Christ through the help of the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21).

Learns to Love people as Christ did for us – the aim is to epitomize AGAPE (God is Love) in the Flesh since Love is the Greatest thing of all  and this is what this Love-starved world needs to see (1 Corinthians 13:4; Galatians 5:22) .

Out of all goals that you have planned on your New Years Resolutions List, Purpose to Walk in the Spirit this Year of 2012. Make God YOUR priority this YEAR. God will move mountains when you are moved by His Spirit.

A Legacy Maker always has Eternity in Mind. A Legacy Maker is driven by Purpose, so ask yourself as you walk into this Year of Divine Government 2012 (since the number 12 means Government), Whose Kingdom are you going to follow this YEAR??? Are you going to re-prioritize your time to God this Year? Are you seriously planning to change your ways? The Things of this world cannot sustain you in the way that the Divine can, so ask yourself what do you want to Gain this year? In Christ, there is more to Gain spiritually, emotionally, physically as you draw closer to Him. The World offers temporary pleasures but cannot satisfy you with Inner Peace, Joy and Fulfillment that comes from the Divine Counselor, Our Prince of Peace, Mighty God, Jesus Christ.

God is the Potter and We are the clay. Purpose to allow God to mold you to be what you were destined to be, and that is to become Joint heirs with Christ, Sons of God. He is a God that is a King of Kings…so we must purpose Sonship, Kingship, and become Vessels of Honor, Glorifying the One in Us; the HOPE OF GLORY (Colossians 1:27).

Welcome yourself to the rest of your Life and become a Vessel of Honor walking with Eternity in Mind.

I pronounce a blessing to all who read this post. May Divine Peace, Prosperity, Love be with You This Year of 2012 and many years to Come. Amen.

Another Song to Bless you for entering the Year 2012 by Deitrick Haddon called You are my Strength. I Pray that you are blessed by this song.
