Thought of the Day: So You’re Christian Huh?

Hi Everybody!

I think I’m on spoken word mode.  This video I’m sharing really makes you look at where you stand in Christ. It’s one thing to know about God, but it’s another to be in relationship with Him. We can’t have an acquaintance-like relationship with Jesus by knowing Him in Name only and yet ignore Him for who He really is to us; He is our Lord and Savior and King of kings. May this Video help us to search deep within to know where we really stand. It’s amazing how much scripture Shawn Presley used in his spoken word, but the truth is needed to be heard in order to confront that which we try to shove under the carpet.

It’s amazing how much we try not to face ourselves when we say we are walking “in Christ” and yet live jaded lives thinking that God is blind to our acts of omission or commission to sin. In some cases, we Christians act engaged to Christ and yet are divorced from the Father’s love for us for the mere fact that we aren’t living for God wholly. It’s sad to have a part-time Christian faith when really God seeks a full-time marriage commitment of Faith.  If we are the Bride of Christ as we so claim, we must no longer portray a mistress status with our King. Let’s dig deep and pray that the Church of Jesus Christ wakes up to see its real face and not live a compromised life swaying like a pendulum with the world’s way of living and start pursuing righteousness for what it is- living in right-standing with Christ. May we confess before God for not really being what we are meant to be in His Eyes which is to be Joint-Heirs with Christ Jesus. We can’t claim to be a powerful church, if we aren’t even plugged-in to the source which is in Christ our solid Rock, our redeemer and foundation of faith. May God help us be the Church that we ought to be and may we as Christians humble ourselves before the King of kings and repent for not being what we should be before Him. Let’s re-align ourselves back to the heart of the Father and seek to live in right-standing with Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, Amen!

Enjoy the Video and God bless you Everybody!

Sunday Inspiration: Believe

Hi everybody!

Right now, I’m going through something that requires me to increase my Faith. I’ve recently been laid off and need God’s divine intervention in my situation. I’m not ashamed of my circumstances because I’ve decided to Trust God for what I need. Now, in such circumstances it is easy to forget Him and decide to forsake Him in times of trouble, but I know in whom I believe. I’ve resolved within myself that I can’t afford to be depressed although there was a few days this week where I knew it was creeping up on me. I’ve heard of others going through the same thing as me in this season and in some circumstances, they are a bit worse off in the situation as I am however, despite all that, God has been encouraging me to keep my faith alive and stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Sometimes, people stop ministering when bad things happen to them, however, I have decided to remain anchored in Christ. We’ve got to learn to trust God not only in the good times but in the bad times as well. The way I see it, this is a test of endurance. I know that when you feel pressure it is easy to crack mentally and it has happened to me before, however, I don’t want to go around in circles anymore with such a reaction and I have decided to remain steadfast and keep my faith alive because I’m believing for a divine turn-around in my situation. I’ve been speaking to my circumstances and calling forth things that be not as though they are because it’s easy to brood about what is happening rather than speak to your situation and prophesy what you want to see happen. I am believing that I am not in lack, that I am in a transition for multiplication and territory increase. That is what I have been praying for as of late.

God has been really testing me in this area of Faith. One thing I know is that when you are in lack, God is able to create a river through your desert situation.

Isaiah 43:18-20

New King James Version (NKJV)tumblr_lsgs3st5tA1qlbe26o1_400

18 Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
20 The beast of the field will honor Me,
The jackals and the ostriches,
Because I give waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My people, My chosen.

I’m standing on the Word and believing that even when in lack, God is my river that is running through my desert. He is the way maker, the one who is able to create opportunities for His people that believe in Him. This song that I’m posting here today is from Marvin Winans Jr. called Believe. It is an up beat song, but it really has been ministering to my spirit as of late. I still believe that even in this Season of Renewal, we must yield to the power of the Holy Spirit. What I’ve come to believe is that when you have nothing, that is when you give of yourself to the Lord the most. Like that Widow that lived in the desert with her son that had only enough food to eat one more day and listened to Elijah the Prophet and gave him something to eat according to his request in her time of lack, God is able to increase the very little that you have if you obey His voice in this season. Her food was a seed that would reap a harvest of an abundance of food because she understood the principle of SEED – TIME – HARVEST. The little food she had was what she used to sow into her miracle by giving the very last of what she had to the Man of God, God saw her heart and blessed her with a divine increase in a time where such a thing was impossible or unlikely to occur. She probably didn’t even know that she was working a principle and a promise from God that says “I will bless those that bless you”(Genesis 12:3). When she blessed the Prophet, she herself received a blessing which was an abundance in a time of lack.

Matthew 10:41

He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

Our God is a God of the ridiculous and it is that Faith Level that I believe that God is testing me with even in my own season. God is able to increase the very little we have when we decide to cooperate with Him and the Holy Spirit. I believe that is the key thing here, OBEDIENCE!

1 Kings 17:8-16 (NKJV)

Elijah and the WidowRH-ElijahFedByWoman_08

8 Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 9 “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.” 10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, “Please bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink.” 11 And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.”

12 So she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”

13 And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. 14 For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’”

15 So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days. 16 The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.

I believe that it is when you have nothing that you give of yourself all the more to God and you will see increase when you are told to give the very little that you have by FAITH. It’s very easy to give when you aren’t in lack and most times, God knows how easy it is for people to give when their resources are high; but what happens when God asks you to give when your resources are running low? Do we choose to believe in Him and do what He asks of us? Sometimes, God asks me to do crazy things and recently He has asked me to sow a seed into someone who is facing the same thing as I am; however, I’m choosing to believe in His Word and bless others anyway even though I know that eventually my resources will run dry because I know that God is testing my Faith and seeking for me to increase it. Whatever I have now is seed for my harvest which also includes even my praise and worship.

Seed into your need and God will increase you in your time of Lack when you obey His voice.

I believe that He is the same yesterday, today and forever, and that He knows my needs according to His riches and glory. He is well able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we could ever ask or think, however, He wants to see if we believe enough for Him to do it. Though I feel challenged, I’m convinced that I serve a God who is well able to bring into completion my destiny and that He is walking with me through this season to be a testimony of “Look at what the Lord has Done!”

I appreciate any prayers or words of encouragement from my readers reading this post today. I know that my God is an awesome God and I have chosen be simply BELIEVE! For those that are going through some serious issues, my encouragement to you today is LEAN ON GOD and put your Trust in Him. We may lose a lot of things in life, but one thing we must NEVER lose is our FAITH IN GOD. Faith is what keeps you anchored in Christ and Faith is what births the miraculous, because the JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH (Hebrews 10:38), AMEN!

I hope you like this song everybody. God Bless You everybody!

Developing “Staying Power” to Remain Free

400441_450608054983330_1000003999_n5

Hi Everybody!

For the past few days during the Daniel Fast, the Lord has been speaking to me about maintaining “Staying Power”. At first I had no clue what He meant since I knew it was a business term so I had to look it up and this is what it is defined as:

stay·ing pow·er

Noun
  1. The ability to maintain an activity or commitment despite fatigue or difficulty; stamina.
  2. Long-term popularity of a product or trend: “hip-hop has a remarkable staying power”.
Synonyms
endurance – stamina – durability – hardiness – resistance

And according to investorworlds.com “Staying Power” in business terms is defined as:

The ability of a person or entity to endure for a long period of time, even through rough times or situations. “During every economic downturn, the company was able to weather the storm and remain profitable. This was a true testament to the company’s staying power.”

energizerWhy mention STAYING POWER?

Through this fast, Daniel learned an important lesson when he prayed and fasted for God to come down with the answers he sought for; He learned the true power of ENDURANCE in order to obtain his breakthrough. Many people want breakthroughs in life but have not past the test of ENDURANCE to stay the course. I have found that it’s easy to start something with much passion and enthusiasm in the beginning, but the true test is whether one can endure to the end. This is a matter of Starting and Finishing something.

Now, for Daniel he had hindrances that he did not realize he had to fight in the spiritual realm in order to receive a message of confirmation from the Lord spoken by an angel. Many people fight unseen forces and underestimate the intensity of the battle when they give up too early. According to Daniel 10:12-14, the angel revealed to him that on the very first day the Lord had answered his prayer but he had to battle the principality of Persia.

Daniel 10:12-14

12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. 14 Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.

Finish the raceIn this Fast, the Lord wants to train our spirits to practice ENDURANCE in Spiritual Warfare. Don’t give up too easily as you pray with expectancy for instruction, direction and confirmation of God’s Word in your life. As you press through do not be naive and underestimate the enemy who seeks to Kill, Steal and Destroy your Hope and Faith during this fast (John 10:10). You’ve got to fix your eyes on JESUS.

The Bible says that we cannot work by MIGHT nor by Power, but by HIS SPIRIT (Zechariah 4:6). If we want to endure during this Fast and if we want to strengthen ourselves for battle, we need to rely on the Holy Spirit to provide us guidance to maintain our STAYING POWER in the Lord. Staying Power only comes from the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT.

How does one maintain STAYING POWER to stay the course?

1. By Practicing Humility - You need to know that you need God to help you endure the tests and the trials that you may encounter this year no matter what comes your way. Also confess your sins and weaknesses to God by practicing daily repentance so that the Accuser has no room to hinder the progress of your prayers by petitioning against your soul. Recognize your mentors and respect them when they chastise you and guide you because they are the people that God plants in your life to watch out for your soul. Disrespecting them only closes doors of opportunity in your life and will definitely leave you in a vulnerable position for the enemy to attack you ruthlessly.

James 4:6
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

1 Peter 5:5
[ Submit to God, Resist the Devil ] Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.

Hebrews 12:7
If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?

2. Practice Worship DAILY - this is your battle axe weapon of warfare in this fast. Keep your mind, body, soul meditating on God’s Word so that the enemy can’t kill, steal or destroy your hope and your faith.

2 Corinthians 10:4
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

3. Being specific in your Prayer life - You need to be specific in your prayers so that you hit the target. Don’t be vague otherwise you will not receive what you truly require during this fast. The most important thing to pray for is WISDOM. It is worth far more than rubies or diamonds and this can take you a long long way.68652_317238341728647_846683213_n

2 Chronicles 1:10-12

10 Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”

11 Then God said to Solomon: “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king— 12 wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like.”

4. Meditate on the Word – Guard your spirit from UNBELIEF by abiding in the Truth that is contained in God’s Word. The Bible says that you must meditate on the Word day and night so that it does not depart from your mouth.

Joshua 1:8
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Psalm 1:2
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.

These are the things that I can think of at the moment that will help you develop Staying Power. If anybody has anything to add, feel free to comment down below.

The Lord continues to emphasize in my prayer life the importance of Humility.  Humility will take you to your destiny; Pride will kick you off the path. Let the Grace of God be with you during this 21 Day Daniel Fast because God resists the proud only because they do not believe they need God to direct their path.

Proverbs 3:5-7

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,tumblr_m37m8xen201r2ph83o1_500
And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct[a] your paths.

Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

Matthew 10:22
And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

Those that can endure during this season of prayer and fasting, whatever you are seeking from the Lord shall be saved and you will receive your reward for your endurance. Do not falter in your Christianity, do not lose hope, even if you stumble along the way, get yourself back up again and continue to run towards God with all that you’ve got! Seek God to purify your heart so that your flesh decreases and the Spirit of God increases in you.

1 Corinthians 3:14
If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.

2 Timothy 2:3
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:12
If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.

endurance1So everybody, the Staying Power of God is the ability to ENDURE through hardship and remain standing strong and firm in the Faith. This is how one also maintains their ANOINTING like the 5 wise virgins (refer back to The Bride of Christ is Anointed post) who kept a supply of fresh oil to keep their lamps burning. Do not be like the 5 foolish ones that did not prepare properly to keep their lamps burning. You need divine wisdom in order to continue the course and endure the race set before you. Keep in mind that yesterdays anointing cannot sustain you for tomorrows troubles, so it is important to always seek a fresh Word, a fresh anointing, a fresh direction through revelation to continue on the path that lays ahead of you.

The Kingdom of God shall not be shaken, so be guided by the instruction of the Holy Spirit and remain in obedience to God’s Guidance by yielding to HIS WISDOM and stay strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might (Ephesians 6:10).

You can become free from bondages and things that hindered you from progress by maintaining your Humility, practicing your worship unto God daily, being specific in your prayer life and by meditating on God’s Word day and night to fortify your SOUL.

Daniel 6:26
I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end.

I have a song by Kierra Sheard called Free to bless your spirit today. God bless you Everybody!

Worship in the Fast: My God is Awesome!

selah

Hi Everybody!

In this fast, I’ve been basking myself in uplifting praise songs. It really prepares your spirit to worship and to fight as you pray seeking God for direction and instructions. Worship is a lifestyle and in this Daniel fast, it is the most powerful tool to have close by when you encounter attacks coming out of nowhere. Fix your heart, mind, body and soul towards Jesus. He can protect you from confusion, depression, pressure, anger, and any type of negative thoughts that start to attack your mind. Spiritual Warfare is not a joke. For those that are participating in the 21 Day Daniel Fast, it is imperative that you focus your mind to think positive and wholesome thoughts. Guard your mind and hold it captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 10:5
casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Bless your soul with worship when you are feeling low…it’s a mighty weapon of warfare that should not be underestimated especially at this time. Fill your spirit with WORSHIP and it will be so natural by the time you come into a Sunday service to lift your hands and give the Lord PRAISE. Some people can be soooo down that they are unable to lift their hands because something is missing in their lives. It’s worship….don’t wait until Sunday pops by to get your worship on. You’ve got to practice it everyday until it becomes natural to you. Many have this amazing weapon of warfare, but can’t get delivered simply because they aren’t using this weapon of warfare. It’s time for God’s people to rise up and Give the Lord Praise and Worship so that they can see Him move mightily in their lives.

If we want to sing songs of DELIVERANCE….we have to fill our spirits with WORSHIP everyday! If you don’t, then it will be as if you are going into battle without weapons hoping that you will win. God ensures victory when we give Him Praise and especially when we Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. So today, fill your spirit with Worship and fix your attitude about Worship. The strategy of the enemy is always to steal the Lord’s worship so what better way than to distract us from using this powerful weapon of warfare by robbing our attention and focus from God by making us focus on our problems rather than seeking God and seeing God as the answer to our problems.  Fill your spirit with songs of Deliverance and surely God will Deliver you out of your trial.

Psalm 32:7
You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah

Prayer for 2013 – “I Will Expand Your Borders”

let_us_pray_by_gongfuren

Father God,

I lift up my family, my blogger friends, my real friends and others serving faithfully in Your Name to the throne of God.

For the Year 2013, cover us all under the Blood of Jesus (1 Peter 1:2; 1 John 1:7; 1 John 5:6; Revelation 1:5).

Walk with all of us like a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21), Cover us with the full armor of God  as it says in your Word:

Ephesians 6: 10-20

The Whole Armor of God

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[c] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Father God it is time for the Year of the Davids to rise up. I pray oh Lord that you will expand our borders and our territories to spread the message of the Gospel in the Year 2013 as it says in  your Word:

Isaiah 54:3
For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited.

Isaiah 26:1-15

In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:armor-on-a-child

“We have a strong city;
God will appoint salvation for walls and bulwarks.
Open the gates,
That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Trust in the Lord forever,
For in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength.[a]
For He brings down those who dwell on high,
The lofty city;
He lays it low,
He lays it low to the ground,
He brings it down to the dust.
The foot shall tread it down—
The feet of the poor
And the steps of the needy.”

The way of the just is uprightness;
O Most Upright,
You weigh the path of the just.
Yes, in the way of Your judgments,
O Lord, we have waited for You;
The desire of our soul is for Your name
And for the remembrance of You.
With my soul I have desired You in the night,armour-of-god
Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early;
For when Your judgments are in the earth,
The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
10 Let grace be shown to the wicked,
Yet he will not learn righteousness;
In the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly,
And will not behold the majesty of the Lord.
11 Lord, when Your hand is lifted up, they will not see.
But they will see and be ashamed
For their envy of people;
Yes, the fire of Your enemies shall devour them.

12 Lord, You will establish peace for us,
For You have also done all our works in us.
13 O Lord our God, masters besides You
Have had dominion over us;
But by You only we make mention of Your name.
14 They are dead, they will not live;
They are deceased, they will not rise.
Therefore You have punished and destroyed them,
And made all their memory to perish.
15 You have increased the nation, O Lord,
You have increased the nation;
You are glorified;
You have expanded all the borders of the land.

So in the Name of Jesus, I decree that God will walk with His Children this coming year of 2013 accompanied by signs and wonders that the world has never seen before. I decree, bless your chosen David Generations with the authority to dispel darkness which is the IGNORANCE of the Word and empower them to spread the Word of God, the Light of Truth which is KNOWLEDGE throughout the nations in every town, city, country and continent as they operate in Your Will following you in obedience to the Call. No longer will You have to say that for a lack of Knowledge your people perish (Hosea 4:6) for the Lord will help us to reverse curses and increase blessings in our lives. Darkness shall flee in Jesus Name!

John 1:5
And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Expand our borders and enlarge our territory(1 Chronicles 4:10) this Year Father God right into the next as we will be blessed in our comings and in our goings, blessed in the city and blessed in the fields, blessed wherever we may go (Deuteronomy 28:1-14) . May the angelic Hosts of God war with the Children of God in the coming  Year of 2013 and may it be so that there are more for us than those that are against us (2 Kings 6:16as a thousand fall to our left and tens of thousands fall to our right as we grow in maturity and stature with the David-like spirit that runs after God’s heart seeking to establish His will which is to walk humbly, love mercy, act justly in righteousness and peace (Micah 6:8). I decree, we will be victorious in Spiritual Warfare and those that envy the Children of God with a Saul-like spirit will be put to shame.

1 Samuel 18:7
So the women sang as they danced, and said: “Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands.”

1 Samuel 18:8
Then Saul was very angry, and the saying displeased him; and he said, “They have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed only thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?”

May the Kingdom of God be established by the David Generation rising in the Year 2013 operating in the fullness of the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8-10) being able to do exceedingly and abundantly walking in the reverential Fear of the Lord for we know that the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of All Wisdom (Psalm 111:10; Proverbs 1:7; Proverbs 9:10). The Lord will be our Rear Guard,

Isaiah 52:12
For you shall not go out with haste, Nor go by flight; For the LORD will go before you, And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

Isaiah 58:8
Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.

165366617538715536_FMoe8IkI_bThe Lord will prepare the path and the David Generation will be living sacrifices to the Lord that will establish a greater and higher level of Praise and Worship that will make the weak say they are strong; that will make the poor say they are rich; that will make the sick say I am healed; that will make the oppressed say that they are delivered as the nations will witness and come to testify that “Surely, the Lord is among His people”.

Romans 12: 1-21

Living Sacrifices to God

12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Serve God with Spiritual Gifts

For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Behave Like a Christian

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”[a] says the Lord. 20 Therefore

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”[b]

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

With this, the David Generation will follow the Lords precepts and decrees and God will say, “I will walk with them for I shall be their God and they shall be My People” (Jeremiah 32:38; Hebrews 8:10). May the Lord bring a fresh outpouring of His anointing from day to day and may it be poured upon the David Generation that will triumph in doing the Greater things that they shall do in Jesus Name I pray, AMEN!

John 5:20
For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

Focus on the Greater Within You

Hi Everybody!

You must be wondering what’s up with the title today? You know that verse of Scripture that says:

1 John 4:4
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

What does that mean exactly?

When you choose Christ as “the Way, the Truth and the Life(John 14:1; John 14:6) in the process of our Salvation, You allow Him to enter into your heart as you give permission to allow the Holy Spirit to transform your old ways of thinking and doing things to become a new creation in Christ. We are all new creations in Christ when we accept Him as Lord and Savior; however, in our walk, we determine how great He is in us as we choose how far we are willing to follow Jesus in His way, in His Truth and in the path that He leads us to eternal Life in Him, with Him, and through Him.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

The question of “How Great is our God?” can only be determined on an individualistic basis based on how much we have cultivated building a relationship with Him in our lives. Someone only becomes great in our hearts when we are in relationship with them built on a foundation of Trust, Faith, and Belief.

Ask yourself these questions:

How much do you Trust Jesus?

How much Faith do you have in Jesus?

How much do you Believe in Jesus?

The measure of these things determines how great He is in you.

Jesus overcame the world for us (John 16:33). We can only overcome the world when we have Jesus Christ inside of us who is the hope of Glory (Romans 5:2; Colossians 1:27). I believe that as Christians we have to pursue the Greatest of the Great so that by one mere look at you, it is evident that you are Christian. The light that comes from you, illuminates that which is already inside of you which is the message of Jesus Christ.

How great is the light of Jesus’ Word shining in you, through you and around you?

When we embrace ideas that contradict the light of God’s Word, we become more like the world that knows no light (darkness = ignorance) and the Jesus in you gets shelved to the back corner in the basement of your heart until He is completely forgotten; or worse, thrown out of your life completely. When we forget our Savior, when we forget our Lord Jesus by our own choice, we then allow something else to become greater within us, and if it is not Jesus, then you’ve got to ask yourself, Who has taken His place within our hearts?”

If Jesus is not on the throne-room of your heart, who is seated there instead? It is possible to hold an idol to be greater than our God which opens doors to demonization and other problems and that is why we must hold fast to the Truth and not allow room for deception or anything to replace the greatness of our God in our lives.

2 Thessalonians 2:13
[ Stand Fast ] But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you by the Spirit and belief in the truth for salvation through sanctification ,

1 Thessalonians 5:20-22

20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.

2 Corinthians 10:5
casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

So Today, focus on what is the Greater that is inside of you?

If you have shelved Jesus in a far place from your heart or have completely abandoned Him in your life, then repent and seek God’s forgiveness for it and reconcile your heart back to His love for you today. Jesus loves you even when you don’t love Him in return. Jesus believes in you even when you have stopped believing in Him. Jesus has faith in you even when you have denied Him. Jesus wants an intimate relationship with you, even when you have divorced your heart from Him. Jesus still wants you even when you think He doesn’t because “He will never leave you nor forsake you” even when you have forsaken Him (Hebrews 13:5). Allow Him to take the throne-room of your heart and let Him become Greater in your life.

“How do I make Him greater in me?” you ask?

By studying His Word (The Bible), by living out what you believe by Faith, and by demonstrating Jesus’ love for you and for other people through your actions, thoughts and deeds. It takes Faith to acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the greater One that is within you than he that is in the world. Put away the things that you once exalted before God and seek the things of the Kingdom of God to reside in you. You can do this by renouncing those things that you once made greater in your life than the Christ in you the hope of Glory. God is an awesome God and He is the Greater that should reside inside you when you worship Him daily and make Him a priority in your life. Food for thought.

I have two songs here by 21:03 called Cold World and Done. Totally love these songs. May they minister to you today.

God bless you everybody!

The Power of Blessing Your Holy Name, Jesus

Praise the Lord all the Generations of the Earth

Hi Everybody!

Today’s post is about blessing the name of the Lord with praises due to him that should come from our mouths.

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 NKJV

Psalm 150:6
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!

As Children of God we are born of the Holy Spirit that resides within us. We commune with Father God through the spiritual language of tongues and we are all commanded to walk in the Spirit by Faith when it comes to things involved with the Divine. The Name of God is a blessing to us. Just by uttering the name of Jesus; the power behind that name is able to dispel darkness and ignorance; it is able to heal and deliver and break every yoke and chain of injustice; it is able to set those who are captive free. The power behind the name of Jesus is that His name is Sovereign. It is so powerful that even demons tremble at the name of Jesus.

James 2:19
You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

The Name of Jesus defeated Satan at the cross and now as Sons of the Most High God, we must learn to bless His Name everyday in songs, in prayers and in our meditations. When we meditate on the Name of the Lord, we discover how He is our Healer, Deliverer, Restorer, the Prince of Peace, the God that fights for us, the One who saves, the One you goes ahead of us, the One who preserves us, the One who gives us Wisdom, Knowledge, Authority, Power, Ability, Truth, the One who is in us – the Hope of Glory and the One we must give the highest glory and honor and the highest level of praise and worship.

Malachi 3:16
[ A Book of Remembrance ] Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, And the LORD listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the LORD And who meditate on His name.

We cannot afford to underestimate the powerful name of Jesus. In one of my previous posts regarding how speaking a blessing can overcome and reverse the curse, we must remember that ALL blessings come from the Lord. Blessings have a divine power and that power comes from the Name of Jesus. So when you bless someone or pray blessings in your prayer time, do not forget to say the name of Jesus, because He is the source of all blessings.

Psalm 96 is in my spirit right now as I meditate on the Name of the Lord. In all that we do…we must not lose focus on the Name of the Lord. Many people do “things” in the Name…but don’t really believe in the Power of the Name of Jesus. I believe that the Lord wants His people to understand the true Power of the Name of Jesus. Many things in life can be shaken, but when we choose to stand on the solid rock of our salvation, we shall not be moved. We shall not be shakened.

Psalm 96 (NKJV)

A Song of Praise to God Coming in Judgment

96 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
Declare His glory among the nations,
His wonders among all peoples.

For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
But the Lord made the heavens.
Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples,
Give to the Lord glory and strength.
Give to the Lord the glory due His name;
Bring an offering, and come into His courts.
Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!
Tremble before Him, all the earth.

10 Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns;
The world also is firmly established,
It shall not be moved;
He shall judge the peoples righteously.”

11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
Let the sea roar, and all its fullness;
12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it.
Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the Lord.
13 For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth.
He shall judge the world with righteousness,
And the peoples with His truth.

Right now, as you look at the nations experiencing different types of calamites such as the power outage in India that has left 620 million without power, or the ebola outbreak crisis that has just struck in Uganda or the 17 countries in the EU that have hit a high record of unemployment and the Syrian humanitarian crisis, we must understand that these Nations need Jesus as their answer.

Strongholds in these nations need to be subjected to the authority of the Power in the Name of Jesus.

As one body united in Christ, let us lift these nations in prayer in the Name of Jesus and seek God’s face for  Divine Intervention and a great outpouring of God’s spirit to bless these nations Lands with His divine presence and reverse the curses that are invading these nations by providing divine strategies that His people can use and apply to these situations that call for divine intervention. We cannot forget our brothers and sisters who live in other parts of the world so as intercessors, we have to shift from just being local-minded intercessors and become more united and be more international and global-minded in our prayer life. We are all connected as one body so if one part of the body hurts, it affects the rest of its members, in the same way what happens in one nation affects other nations whether we choose to acknowledge that as the truth or not.

Let us lift the Name of Jesus higher and cry out for His name to Bless the land, Amen!

If you want to know the Heart of the Father you must allow yourself to yield to the power of the Holy Spirit. He who has an ear, Hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to YOU the churches. God’s Faithfulness – “I Will Never Leave You nor Forsake You, My love”

Hi Everybody!

I hope you all are having a beautiful Friday :) . It’s starting to heat up out there so please refer back to my summer survival kit on what to do to prevent heat stroke and other summer related illnesses that some people encounter during heat waves. It is important to remain hydrated so drink up an ocean of water (ok…I’m exaggerating but please drink a lot of water ok people! :D ).

So today I want to talk about God’s faithfulness. God’s faithfulness is precious to us because He always keeps His promises. In knowing that we have a God that is NOT a man that He should lie, we must learn to walk in the same level of faith in that when He says that He will never leave us nor forsake us…we in return must never leave Him and forsake Him. We can talk about “well I’m only human…blah…blah… blah…excuse after excuse” to explain why we sometime falter in our Faith, but at the end of the day…we are not merely Human…we are Children of the Most High God. We enjoy the idea that He is forgiving, faithful, and patient…but are we???

I thought about that in regards to myself and realize that I seriously need to increase my Faith level to come to that place where I can truly say “I will never leave you nor forsake you my God”. You must be thinking….”Oh yea of little faith!!!”but again I say, “Have you walked a mile in my shoes?” from a previous post written about hindrances to prayer. When I went through a trial that tested my loyalty and faith to God so early in my salvation, it was then that I realized that honestly it’s so easy for us to turn away given the right amount of pressure. You’ve got to ask yourself…“What will it take for you to fall away from the Lord?” It’s easy to claim to “love Him” when things are going good…but what if all of a sudden calamity strikes us…what then of our Faith? The reason why I’m writing this is so that we don’t walk around in self-deception thinking that we have attained a high level of faith and that we will never encounter a time where that one decision to remain in God or forsake the Lord will be put to the test. I call such a test of faith to be The Job Test of Faith (Job 1-3) where everything you hold dear gets touched by the devil to test your level of love and faith for the Lord.  Be Sober and be viligilant, for this is no easy test…and unfortunately not everyone will pass it and those who claim to “love the Lord”, shall be tested. For those that endure the trial and still come out praising God, I say kudos to you and God bless you because your faith can withstand such a fiery trial and it just goes to show, that if you can do it, surely we all are capable of withstanding any test. Easier said than done but it’s worth thinking about it now rather than later.

I know that I’m still being tested each day and I take each test as they come. I fail some, I pass some…I also get re-tested <— didn’t see that one coming now did ya. Yes people, you will be retested on failed tests. When you pass the re-tests,  you overcome that cycle of insanity, which is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. How many of you can lift your hands and understand what I’m saying? Let me also remind you that we should all know that our lives are a whole big test of Faith. We choose how we are going to pass it or fail it by deciding if we believe in God or not and by living out what we believe. I’ve had my fair share of tests and I can tell you that it’s easy to break  down completely and choose to stray away given the right amount of pressure, but the most amazing thing is that even in our weakness, God never chooses to forsake us even though we may choose to do so. God’s love endures literally Forever. I have never met a love like that before, but it is definitely a feat to learn to love like Jesus.

So today, think about increasing your love for God. It’s one thing to learn to love people…but we must learn also how to minister to our God today by loving God and saying it everyday through our prayer life, our praise life and our worship life. As much as we seek affirmation of love and acceptance by people, God also seeks that same level of devotion to Him as well, but because He, like the Holy Spirit is a gentleman, He will not manipulate us or force us to love Him, because He has blessed us with the gift of free will to choose to do so. I have now gotten into the habit of saying “Good morning Father God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit” and also “Good afternoon” and “Good evening” because it’s something we take for granted. We say it to people all the time but do we say it to our Lord? Do you welcome His presence in your day? The Lord is with us in our entire day and its amazing how we forget Him so easily.  We should not forget the Lord our God who sent His Son to save us from the slavery of Sin and redeemed us back into the Kingdom of God through His precious blood. The Lord Jesus sent us The Helper who is the  Holy Spirit and He yearns to converse with us, but are we inclined to Hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to “us” the Churches???? Let us love on God today and remember that His faithfullness in us is what we must demonstrate back to Him in return. God Bless you everybody and have a blessed Weekend!

I have 2 songs by Jesus Culture called Where You Go I Go and You Won’t Relent ( I know I’ve posted this song before but I love it :D ) . I figured I’d bless y’all with sounds of worship. I pray that these songs minister to your spirit today. God bless you everybody!

God Loves All His Children

Hi everybody!

Well, I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend and for some of us Canadians we had a Holiday on Monday so yay for the Long Weekend! Todays meditation is in regards to the Agape Love of God towards His children who are the Sons and Daughters of God. I have a video here as a reflection of How God’s love is sooo amazing through the parable of the Prodigal Son. I know that in other posts I have mentioned the prodigal son several times, but I felt the need to emphasize that God’s love doesn’t measure deeds, it measures the HEART.

The Prodical son used his inheritance to live a life of pleasure and did so with self-seeking ambition. When he asked for his inheritance from his father who was still alive it was equal to him saying “I wish you were dead already  so that I could do whatever I want to do with my inheritance”. Although, this son’s request deeply hurt his father, His father gave  him what he desired and watched him leave to go to a foriegn land to do whatever he wanted to do. The son travelled far because it was clear that he didn’t want to have anything to do with his family after he had received what he wanted out of a selfish and self-serving heart.  When the boy squandered all that he had and realized that the so called friends he had now dissappeared now that he was penniless, he was forced to work in order to feed himself and therefore became enslaved to serve others as a consequence to his disobedient and self-seeking behavior in a distant land far from home. After contemplating what He had done, he began to realize that it would be better to serve under his fathers house and felt a deep regret for his actions and soon decides to leave the foreign land to return back to his fathers house seeking the serve under him as a servant not expecting or demanding forgiveness for his cruel words and actions.

I read somewhere that under Jewish custom, the son’s deeds would have been considered criminal which would have merited him death by stoning under the Jewish law for his actions, but instead of that, His father came out running to him because he was so overjoyed to see his son back alive. The love of that father was so great that by accepting him regardless of his deeds would have caused him to have been stoned alongside with his son had people discovered that he was harboring a criminal. This is how severe and serious the prodigal son’s actions were against his father. He deserved death by returning but instead he received mercy and love.

Although the son sought to serve his father as recompense for his mis-deeds, the Father welcomed Him with open arms and gave him a signet ring which represents renewal of covenant and a relationship restored. He also gave him a robe to clothe him representing covering and sonship.  God is like that with us. If we backslide and return to him, we are like the prodigal son and He always welcomes us back into relationship with Him with open arms when we come back with a repentant heart.  Sometimes the mis-deeds we have committed seem soo blaringly wicked and pitch black on a sheet of paper that we find it difficult to believe that God can forgive because God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). We ought to be imitators of this love towards our fellow brothers and sisters but we tend to be selective which isn’t quite matching the Agape love we are to exemplify. I’ll put my hand up and confess that I know to some extent I’m guilty of  being selective at times since some people rub me the wrong way *still a work in progress here*.

Loving people that care for us is easy…but loving those that don’t seem to deserve it is our challenge. Our faith has to increase in this area of loving those that don’t deserve it because Love restores people back to the heart of God when they see it in action. It has the power of causing a sinner to repent and seek God’s face by someone’s conduct that demonstrates this love in action. We should acknowledge that we are not perfect and understanding this will help us humble ourselves before God that if we seek God to redeem us from our imperfections, then he demands and expects that we do the same for our fellow brothers and sisters who seek to be redeemed in the same way.

The songs of the redeemed come from a heart of LOVE. If God loves us in the same manner as the Prodigal son, we should treat backsliders with the same level of compassion as well. We should also treat those that do not know Christ in the same manner as well, because Love covers all sin and is able to deliver folk from that place of darkness into a place of restoration and relationship with the Father (Proverbs 10:12;1 Peter 4:8).  So today, think about increasing your capacity to love people as Christ layed down His life for us because it is this Love that the Father has for us that He seeks for all to be restored back in relationship with Him again.

“Love one another as I have loved you” says the Lord (John 13:34).

I have a song called Worshipping You by Deluge. I love this song and I pray that it ministers to you today. Have a blessed day everybody and God bless You!

God-o-nomics – God’s Measure of Success

Hi Everybody!

What is God’s economics for success? Are we measuring up are are we falling short? God’s measure is always just but it isn’t always understood. I thought it awesome to check out this video. It really touches on the beatitudes that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 5:1-13. The beatitudes of Christ are what God uses to measure success in our lives; however, the question is, do we use these standards as our measaure of success?

 The Beatitudes

5 And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:

Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Believers Are Salt and Light

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

http://nightshade130.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/imagesca6t2mhw2.jpg?w=572&h=160&h=160

We ought to always retain our salty flavour as Seasoned Christians if we are to walk in the Spirit victoriously. May the video bless and minister to you today. God bless you everybody! :D

Regrets

Hi Everybody,

Happy FRIDAY! Wow it’s already the third day of Summer and as you noticed I reblogged my summer survival kit for all those who need a few pointers to survive the heat. Keep cool and drink lots and lots of water. Don’t regret anything.

Todays devotional is about regrets. I know that I’ve done many things I regret but at the same time I have learned that it is more important to consider what I should have done differently had I a chance to turn things around. We shouldn’t mill around in self-pity when God can turn what was meant for evil for good when we choose to lean on His divine wisdom to get out of this mess. One thing we should never do is end up being in denial of the mess we make. It’s not a good thing to be in-denial of our own problems because that’s an area of pride that refuses to take responsibility for actions. I agree that some things are beyond our control and some things are based on irresponsible decisions that we make, but despite all of this we have the Holy Spirit in us to develop self-control. When we take ownership for our actions it is easier to reconcile with the Father when we come to Him with a contrite spirit that seeks forgiveness and assistance to set things back on course. Offence can derail us and self-condemnation arrests us, so it is important to seek God and repent of any area of weakness, failures and mistakes with honesty and with humility.

Psalm 34:18
The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

Psalm 51:17
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise

Isaiah 57:15
For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

God is so good in that even though we make many mistakes, He is still willing to work with us when we humble ourselves and recognize that “Oops…I made a mess of things. Please help me” because His love endures forever (Psalm 136 ). Ask for God’s help today and you’ll see turn arounds when you yield to His infinite wisdom. I know that for me some mistakes can’t be easily repaired overnight and somethings take time to heal but with whatever is impossible with us, with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). It is true that some things may end up as wounds, but God is able to heal the deepest crevices of our hearts even when they are broken. So today, Lean on God’s Love and ask Him for a divine turn around in your situation. God loves it when we ask Him for His help because He comes to us with open arms just like the father that greeted his prodigal son that sqwandered his inheritance and came back seeking his fathers forgiveness. In the same way, Let God greet you with Open arms as you return to Him in HUMILITY.He will robe you in His righteousness as you seek to connect with him and remain in right standing together with the Lord as your covering. May this video bless you Everybody!

Scriptures to Meditate

Romans 8:28 (NKJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Genesis 50:20
But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

Job 42:10 (NKJV)

10 And the Lord restored Job’s losses[a] when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Luke 15:10-32 (NKJV)

10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

The Parable of the Lost Son

1Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. 13 And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. 14 But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. 15 Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.

17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”’

20 “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring[a] out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.

25 “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’

28 “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. 29 So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 30 But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’

31 “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. 32 It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’”

“I Am” like You

Jesus Loves each and everyone of us

Hi Everybody!

Todays meditation is from the book of proverbs.

 Proverbs 23:24 NKJV

“The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who begets a wise child will delight in him.”

When I read this verse I thought about how Father God looks at us. Are we like GOD????? The father who delights in righteousness is happy when He is able to reproduce after His own kind.

The Word Begets means :-

verb (used with object), be·got or ( Archaic ) be·gat; be·got·ten or be·got; be·get·ting.

1.(especially of a male parent) to procreate or generate (offspring).
2. to cause; produce as an effect: a belief that power begets power.
That’s what the word “begets” means. When a father begets a child it means that he reproduces after his own kind. In this case, the proverb speaks of a Father who is delighted to reproduce a wise child. This child carries on in the same wisdom as the father onto the next generation to come.

Children imitate what their parents do as a reflection of the character of the parent. In the same way we are all supposed to be imitators of Christ our Lord. When we imitate the attitude of Christ, we become children that He begat and therefore have the right to say “I AM” like you Lord. “I am like you Mom & Dad” - It’s the same thing. God rejoices in His children that imitate the attitude of Christ-likeness because we are all Joint-heirs of Christ(Romans 8:17).

So today, ask yourself, Is your conduct imitating that of our Lord Jesus Christ or Not? If Not, who are you imitating ? Remember that we have two fathers in this world that we can follow, we can Follow The Holy One (Isaiah 29:23)or the Father of Lies (Satan) (John 8:44). Choose to be imitators of Christ so that as a Father of righteousness, He will greatly rejoice in his children that choose to walk in the paths of divine wisdom that comes from the reverential Fear of the Lord.

I have a song here today from Fred Hammond called Lord How I Love You. May it Minister to you today. God Bless you everybody!!!!

Ephesians 5:1
[ Walk in Love ] Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

Romans 8:16-18 (NKJV)

16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

From Suffering to Glory

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

 Proverbs 9:10
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Isaiah 6:3
And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”

Isaiah 17:7
In that day a man will look to his Maker, And his eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 29:23
But when he sees his children, The work of My hands, in his midst, They will hallow My name, And hallow the Holy One of Jacob, And fear the God of Israel.

Isaiah 45:11
Thus says the LORD, The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: “Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons; And concerning the work of My hands, you command Me.

 Isaiah 47:4
As for our Redeemer, the LORD of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel.

“I’ll Follow, You Lead”

Hi Everybody!

Today is a short contemplation. I was thinking about what it means to follow out of obedience as oppose to just doing your own thing. Sometimes we do things thinking we know better but when we get stuck, we stop and ask for directions do we not? When you’re walking down a familiar street and turn into a road that you have not travelled along before, you begin to feel hesitant to venture forth because you have no idea where that road leads. This is a normal reaction and I find that it is  always comforting to have a friend show you a place that you have never been before because you automatically trust that they know where they are going. In the same way, when we’ve done all the things we know how to do by our own abilities and levels of understanding since we are so used to the familiar, travelling into unchartered territory can be quite nerve wrecking if you lack clear direction of where a road leads. This is the point where we must seek God and ask Him to lead us and we (in obedience) will follow Him because He, just like a friend, already knows what’s ahead of us and all we have to do is follow His Lead.

God is the unfailing GPS in our lives. When we seek to step out into new territory, we do so by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit guides you to a place, He already knows the way and all you have to do is be willing and obedient to follow His direction. If God can take you too it, He is surely able to walk you through it. It isn’t easy all the time to trust in that which we cannot see as much as trusting that which we do see, but when you follow with your heart and yield to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the way is definitely made sure and you will reach your destination just like Abraham did until you are called to move again. So today, if you are struggling with indecision to follow the voice of God that is telling you to move out of your comfort zone and into your promised land, seek God and repent of fear and disobedience and decide to move and walk by faith and not by sight. When you start to operate by faith, all the things you feared will become nothing to you because you have an unfailing GPS which is the Holy Spirit that will guide you to where you are supposed to go. The Holy Spirit knows the way, you just have to speak by faith and say “I’ll Follow, You Lead”.

I have a song here that’s from the movie Sister Act. I’m sure you may know this song but it’s called I will Follow Him. I thought it appropriate since it’s up beat and very uplifting for today. It always makes me smile when I hear this song. May it bless you today Everybody!

A Word of Encouragement – The Debt is Paid in FULL

Hello Everybody!

So today I’m just going to give word of Encouragement regarding Salvation. This week we are celebrating the Debt our Lord and Savior paid on the cross for our salvation that we find in Him. The Debt that He paid was for all of us who struggle with our weaknesses, failures and mistakes and also includes the heavy sins and offenses we commit that seem unforgivable. He died and paid the full price of our debt with His precious blood for all of mankind including those who are robbers, killers, murderers, thieves, adulterers, liars, cheats, schemers, hustlers, gossipers, abusers, traitors, the proud and haughty, the greedy, the perverted, the narcissistic, etc. and for all who have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of the Lord because of these weaknesses, failures, mistakes and offenses (sin).  As people we find it difficult to forgive each other for such weaknesses and failures that others commit against us because we get offended easily and seem to know how to point out other peoples weaknesses to easily out of bitterness and anger which makes it hard for us to love people, but Jesus says,

With Men and Women it may be impossible to forgive, but with God All things are possible to those that Believe that I, Jesus , Forgives All”.

So In this season, believe today that there is nothing you have done that cannot be forgiven by our Lord Jesus Christ. Some people wrestle with their weaknesses and feel no peace within them because of that feeling of self-condemnation and self-loathing that torments their minds for their wrongdoing, but Jesus says that:

“There is no Condemnation in Me because I overcame the World, I overcame the Grave and I overcame Death and Every Offense (Sin) known to Man”.

His wish is for all people to be set free from self-condemnation and self-loathing behaviours by His forgiveness so that you can enjoy an everlasting life with Him walking in the Freedom and knowledge that Jesus came to set  you free from the torment that condemnation brings when we do things that go against what is right, what is good and what is Godly in the eyes of our Savior.  So if you don’t know Jesus, or if you know of Him but fell away during your journey, here is a little prayer to welcome Him into your Heart. He is the one that will restore you and give you inner peace by His Blood that was shed for you and me.

He is the one that Forgives all, Loves All and Paid our Debt of Sin in Full at the Cross.

Sinner’s Prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus,

I come before your presence and acknowledge all my faults, my failures, my sins and all of my weaknesses, sins I know I have done and sins I don’t know I have committed. I no longer want to live this way feeling like I’m living a life that’s leading me down the wrong path without your guidance and direction to do what is pleasing and what is right before your eyes, so please forgive me Jesus and come into my heart. Restore me Jesus and cleanse me with your redeeming blood that you shed for me at the Cross. I believe that You Jesus, Who Died on the Cross and shed your blood for me, who conquered the grave and resurrected on the third day is my Savior and Lord. Thank you for loving and forgiving me Jesus. Thank you for setting me free from all my mistakes, failures, weaknesses and all of my sins, in Jesus’ Name I pray,

AMEN.

Hallelujah! The Angels are rejoicing in Heaven right now as you read this message! God Loves you sooooo much that He gave His only begotten Son Jesus to die for us so that we can be redeemed. Let the redeemed of the Lord Say SO! Praise the Lord! So, now that you have said this prayer, you have put away the old person and have become a new creation in Christ.  God is soo amazing and He loves you very very much. If you have family members or friends that need this message, then I encourage you to re-blog or pass it along. They need to know that Jesus Loves them no matter what they have done. God’s Love ENDURES FOREVER.

To finish off this encouragement I have a song to bless you today called The Everlasting God. Stay Blessed in God’s Love for you Today.

Stand Out!

Hello Everybody!

Today is an amazing day. It’s sunny out there and I just gotta give GOD all the PRAISE!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO! Ok, so that was my shout out today. Did it wake you up a bit? It is amazing when I look at what God has done for me in my life and I just want to say that when I look at where I was and how far I’ve come to be where I am, I feel like a shout just comes deep down in my Spirit to give a Praise to the Lord for what He’s done for me! God loves us sooo much that it’s sooo hard to comprehend sometimes when we think of the times we did things without understanding, without wisdom or direction that makes us beg  the question, “LORD WHAT SHALL I DO????!” The patterns of our world cannot take us to where we need to be nor to where we ought to be in God. Our God-given potential is sooo great that we can only function when we strive to be transformed, to be renewed, to be changed and to also STAND OUT against the patterns of this world that don’t believe in our Lord Jesus Christ. When we conform to worldy standards, we limit our GOD-given potential because that potential is divine in nature. The world cannot bring it out, it’s only GOD who can. So today, Meditate on what it takes to TRANSFORM into GOD’s image which was the ORIGINAL PLAN to begin with before we fell from our state of Grace, Our state of Glory, our state of GOD IN US and WITH US the HOPE OF GLORY.

I have a song today to Uplift your day. It’s called STAND OUT by Tye Tribbett and G.A. Choir. Stay Blessed EVERYBODY and choose to STAND OUT!

Here are the lyrics to this AWESOME SONG!

[speaking: Tye Tribbett]
When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against him.
I see the enemy coming in like a flood in our houses, in our churches, in our families.
But what I don’t see is the standard. People of God where’s the standard at?
We in a war y’all. It’s time to stand OUT!

[G.A.:]
It’s about to go down. The battle has begun.
It’s time for you to choose, whose side you gonna be on.
The devil is recruiting, temptin’ every man.
But he’s already defeated, all we have to do is stand.
No time for mixing light with the darkness.
Be black or be white, no more shades of gray.
Be separated, be holy, no matter what you do, don’t bow.
And even if you stand alone, stand anyhow.

[CHORUS]

[Tye:] Rise up!

[G.A.:]
Rise up people, put on your strength.
There’s a war going on and we will win.
Stand up and fight, let the kingdom prevail.
With power and might, we will stand out.

Stand out!
[G.A.:] Stand out!
Be not conformed to this world.
[G.A.:] Stand out!
Be transformed, renew your mind.
[G.A.:] Stand out!
Just like the three Hebrew boys,
[G.A.:] Stand out!

[G.A.:]
God is playin’ it cool, don’t wanna rub nobody the wrong way.
Almost like we’re trying to fit in. Acting like we don’t know the name.
It’s time for us to stand out and go against the grain.
Forget tryin’ to be down, let the world know you’ve been changed.
How you gonna be the praise leader? But you listen to R & B?
And hip-hop is on your ringtone. I’m trynna tell you God ain’t pleased.
And since when did it become cool for you to live together unmarried?
Men with men?
Women with women?
I’m tellin you God ain’t gon’ have it.

[CHORUS]

[Tye:]

via the Enterprenuers Blog

It’s time to recognize.
The war it’s in disguise.
No time for compromise.
Wake up open your eyes.
[together:] The devil is a LIE!
You must be hot or cold.
You can’t blend in the crowd.
It’s time for God’s people ta -

[CHORUS]

via faithoncampus.com

[Tye:]
Let me hear your war cry!

[G.A.:]
Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!

[Tye:]
Let me hear your war cry!

[G.A.:]
Ooh! (Let’s Stand Out!) Ooh! (Let’s Stand Out!) Ooh!

[Tye:]
Little bit louder.
[G.A.:]
Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!

[Tye:]
One more time!

[G.A.:]
Ooh! (Cry out loud!) Ooh! (Stand out!) Ooh!

STAND OUT!

[Speaking: Tye Tribbett]
We in a war people of God.
You don’t have to fight, all you gotta do is stand.
Make some noise G.A.!
Having done all to stand…
Now stand people of God!
If you gonna stand out with us… SCREAM!

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Exodus 34:10
[ The Covenant Renewed ] And He said: “Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the LORD. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.

Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

Titus 3:5
not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Philippians 2:15
that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Believers Are Salt and Light

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

John 8:12
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

John 11:9
Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
