I’m Expecting A Move of God

glory-to-god (1)

Hi Everybody!

I just wanted to give you an update on the situation with one of our band members called Richie. He came back!!!!!!!!!! YAY! His family finally approved him playing in our band! HALLELUJAH! Thank you people for the prayers :D . Prayer changes things, I believe this. Especially when you pray expecting that God will answer.

Today, I feel led to say something that may sound ridiculous, but God has been showing me that it’s time as Christians to pray differently. I must admit that I’ve been a bit lazy to command my mornings for the past few months, but I started to get back into it last week and have found that each time I have, My days would run smoothly, or I would receive new revelation of God’s Word during the 3:00 am – 6:00 am watch.

I believe God wants me to share what I’ve learned during my conversations with Him here on this blog. So here goes…

It is time to pray from our positions and not by our conditions.  What do I mean by this? God wants us to pray differently. We keep asking for stuff in our prayers, but we don’t act like we have enough faith to receive what we have requested.  We know that faith can move mountains based on the Word itself, but when it comes down to the actual practice of faith, Christians are lacking…in fact, God has shown me areas that I still lack faith. It’s a humbling thing to know that we have so much more to work on if we want to be stronger, wiser, vigilant and effective in Christ.

God showed me during these times that we Christians pray in one of two forms:

1. We either pray with a “lack of knowledge”, or;

2. We pray with “knowledge”.

If we pray with a “lack of Knowledge” then what we retain from that prayer is LACK. Likewise, in the same way, if we pray with “Knowledge”, what we retain from that prayer is “Knowledge”.

Think about it. It says in the Word of God that:

Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Rejecting Knowledge causes us to be disqualified from achieving our positions as “Joint-heirs” with Jesus Christ. When God showed this to me, it sobered me up really quickly that I had to analyze in what way have I been praying? I had to repent of my faithless prayers and have decided to work on praying more effectively for the purpose of representing God properly. I know that many times I have prayed to God knowing what He can do and knowing who I was in Christ that I have achieved results, but at the same time, I recognize times when I prayed and did not achieve results because I was not praying by POSITION, I was praying subdued by my CONDITION. I allowed my circumstances to take precedence over my ability to speak by faith and not go by what I saw, thought or feel. I had many times that I encountered doubt entering into my head that I no longer spoke the language of FAITH, I spoke a foreign language to God called DOUBT.

Yes, Faith is a heavenly language  that God responds to and in the same way Doubt is a demonic language that refuses to acknowledge God as sovereign which is what the Devil responds to. Scary thought huh?

Expectations1200X850It is interesting isn’t it, how we falter in our faith by putting more emphasis on our conditions rather than speaking about our positions in Christ. Christ has shown us that we are the HEAD and not the TAIL, Above only and never Beneath (Deuteronomy 28:13), and yet we forget the Word that God has spoken to us simply because we are either, Apathetic, Ignorant (Don’t read or know the Word and what it says about us) or just don’t understand who we are in Christ.

So today, I believe God wants us to incline our ears to Wisdom and actually pursue to understand that we must pray differently. We must pray by our POSITION and not by our Condition. The Centurion understood this principle. He respected Jesus’ authority that did not require Jesus to visit his sick servant. All he needed was for Him to speak and it was so (Matthew 8:8). The woman with the issue of blood understood this…all she needed was to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment and that faith brought her healing (Matthew 9:20)…

What I’m trying to say is that, God is saying we have the power to pull miracles from Him because His riches and glory is sufficient to meet all our needs.
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

But if we cannot simply understand this simple fact, we will always pray prayers that will retain LACK because we don’t have knowledge of Who God is to us and what and who we are to GOD. So as God has challenged me, I also challenge you to pray WITH KNOWLEDGE. Do you know that by His stripes you are HEALED today? (Isaiah 53:51 Peter 2:24).
impressing God last
Do you know that when you call on the Name of Jesus, He hears?

And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’

For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

If you don’t know….then it’s time for you to buck up and get knowledge…Look back into the WORD and find the answer…seek and you shall find what you are looking for.

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

[ Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking ] “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

If you lack something today, then it just means that you need to search for Knowledge and wisdom. The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, And the strength of salvation; The fear of the Lord is His treasure.
I declare and decree from my POSITION and not by my CONDITION, that this Month of September is going to be a “month of Birthings”. New things are going to happen this month that have never happened before. You will start new projects and the end results will bear great fruit. You will change your associations this month. You will be heading into a new direction. Prayers will be answered this month. God is doing a new thing and I am expecting a move of GOD. What are you expecting for this month?

Do Christians Anesthetize Pain?

images

Hi Everybody!

Today, I think I’m going to touch on subject that’s not always talked about and I’ve been thinking a lot as I take time out from work today. I think that in many respects we try to band-aid the issues that are occurring in people’s lives with “Christian responses” like “The Joy of the Lord is your strength” or “it’ll get better” or “You shouldn’t be sad” like as if grief or pain are virtually non-existent in the Christian’s life. I don’t even know why I am touching on this subject today, but I’ve been talking to a few people this past week who have been hurt and heartbroken because of what someone else did to them. In many respects…the individuals in question where not non-believers but believers who we think should know better but don’t do better.

When I think about this, I think of the many countless times I myself have been hurt, discouraged, and disappointed by so-called “Christians” that I wonder why is it we put on facades at church acting like we aren’t wounded when you are. Singing a praise song isn’t healing the wound of wrongdoing done by another person and worse off by a believer in the same room clapping their hands getting away with no remorse. The worst thing I’ve also seen is how people in the Church hush people to silence and treat the problem like a silent topic that is a “non-issue” by their standards and simply sweep everything under the rug and start to alienate the victim as the problem and mark victims with scarlet letters as they gang up together to ostracise and criticize behind closed doors.

Is it really a wonder why the heart of Jesus is crying as He continues to watch people walk out of church and never come back?

The truth is, church isn’t a building, church is a community of believers…and if we are simply in a building with no believers…then the only thing for a believer to do is walk out.

2450238_1329647988400.17res_300_297We cannot simply anesthetize the problem with worship that doesn’t even reach the hurting soul sitting there in your midst feeling as if the songs mock their grievances that are being ignored with band-aid sugar coated words of non-encouragement. I remember when I was in a situation similarly sometime last year where I was wronged by someone in the church I used to attend and they treated me like I was the enemy, that I was the liar and made me out to be a person tooting her own horn. Instead of defending my honor, I decided to apologize for something I didn’t do because God distinctly tells us in the Word to forgive our brothers or sisters otherwise our sins will be retained before God.

If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

I fear God enough to swallow up my dignity and take the beating of someone else’s evil actions and take the slap of humiliation while they continue acting like nothing ever happened. The thing is, that is but one incident that I had endured in that church. It takes a lot to forgive countless times, but that is what we are mandated to do as Christians and the reality is that very few follow this as the standard as many continue to hurt many innocents in the church today.

When I think back on this one incident I think to myself that forgiveness truly is divine because only God can give you the strength to forgive such wrongs.  That incident broke me because I began to realize how Jesus felt to be betrayed by the so-called people He decided to die for.

You can call me a complainer or label me as a person who is bitter if you want, but I’m just giving you some real talk right about now. At this point, I’m so done with cookie cutter responses believers give to others that don’t really address the issue that the person has a legitimate complaint, a legitimate reason to be frustrated, angry, hurt and a reason to cry. Why act like someone should simply get over it??? Yes forgive, but cry if you need to cry, scream if you need to scream, write out your feelings on paper if you have to, do what you have to do to get out how you’re really feeling inside. Don’t bottle it in…let it out and then after that go to the alter and seek God for strength to forgive and heal your wounds. It may be true that the other person may never be sorry for what they did against you, but as long as you’ve done all you could do to release yourself from being offended and remaining offended by giving it up to God, this is I think the most healthy way to deal with people in pain.

Reaching Out to Help Someone in DespairThe one thing I wish I had was someones embrace during the times when things went south in my life…Sometimes people don’t want you to say anything, they just want you to acknowledge most times silently that their hurt and are hurting….you don’t have to voice out everything to encourage them during these hard times…sometimes people just want to simply know that you’re there for them. However, in my experience…I can count the few that reached out and consoled my situations and they are the ones I currently serve with in the new church I attend. Don’t get me wrong…one incident isn’t enough to make me walk away from a situation…in fact, the incident isn’t even the reason why I left my previous church, it was God who told me it was time to leave and step into something new.  I’ve endured a lot as a believer and what I can say is that I have learned so much that I appreciate the lessons I received in my previous church of what to do and what to NEVER do to other believers in my walk with God.

No church is perfect, but that doesn’t excuse why people still remain wounded just because of it.

My question lies in why the churches particularly in North America are losing impact in the now generation and the former generation? We continue to shrug our shoulders and anesthetize real issues that exist in the church and hide behind veils of hypocrisy acting like “this can’t be happening in my church” ….“it must be happening in another church but not mine”. My question is “Are you so sure of that???” are you not simply closing your eyes to these problems…acting like “it can’t be helped?”.

Let me get one thing straight, I’m not advocating a witch hunt for wrongdoers in the church, I’m simply addressing the fact that people are hurting in the church and hiding it or not addressing it for what it is by simply saying insensitive things like “Get over it already, People will hurt you”...Even if that statement maybe true, my question is why should that even be allowed in the first place??? Call me an idealist, but I have since discovered that as a Watchwoman for God, God’s heart bleeds for His people that are beaten down by their own fellow brothers and sisters actions. Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21)…we all know this verse and yet people continue to be ruthless and callous in their actions, in their words and in their deeds against their brothers and sisters. The Fear of God wouldn’t allow for this type of thing to continue to happen so I am of the opinion that what is also lacking in churches today is the reverential fear of God. If we really loved God like we so claim we do...why is it that we continue to shrug our shoulders, fold our hands or look away when a fellow believer is wronging another? is it because we simply don’t want to get involved for fear of excommunication??? Just saying that word left a bad aftertaste in my mouth…people care so much about their status quo in the church that they won’t bend to help their brother lying half dead in the back row of the pew because status is important, not your brother or sisters hurting heart…

Is it a wonder why non-believers are more like Samaritans that go the distance for a hurting believer than what should be the job of a Christian believer in the first place????

Please humor me and read that story of the Good Samaritan in the Bible once again if you think I’m lying: Luke 10: 25-37

It’s one thing to have it be done by a non-believer, but believers hurting other believers, WHY should that be tolerated? I think it’s unacceptable.

I know it seems like I’m complaining…but I needed to get this off my chest today after counseling some individuals who’ve just encountered some crazy things that were done against them by their so called believer friends. I don’t think we can simply stand by like by-standers and watch like uninvolved onlookers to the wounded that are sitting next to you in the church. Let’s all develop a heart of compassion and start to reach out. Reaching out to others may not be your thing, but I’m sure you would like it if someone reached out to you when you were going through a rough time. It’s time to put our facades aside and start to be real again. So people of God, let’s get to it. This is my letter that I want to write to y’all today.

how-to-help-hurting-people040912Let’s love like Jesus today, because tomorrow may just be too late. Think about that as you go about your daily business.

There is this song that has been in my heart for the past few days. I sang it this past Sunday service and it’s such an awesome song of worship…If we really honor God, and worship God and love God, then let’s prove it by our deeds and actions and words to one another.Don’t let a Samaritan (non-believer) put what should be our job to love others like Christ did to shame. Let’s not continue to play church anymore and be the real church.

This song is by Darwin Hobbs called We Worship You Today. May this Song bless your spirit.

How the Qu’ran converted a Muslim to Christ

Hi Everybody!

I know I’ve posted this already on my facebook, but I feel lead to post this on my blog to get a wider audience. Check out this snippet of Mario Joseph’s transformation from being a Muslim to coming to know about Christ from the things he found out in Islams holy book the Qu’ran. The Qu’ran is what changed his mind and view about Christianity as he was challenged to answer questions regarding who is Jesus Christ…the interview is amazing. God can cause us to find the truth and use the most foolish ways to get to it, to confound the wise. Isn’t God Great?

It really speaks to this verse of scripture in 1 Corinthians 1:27  which says:

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

Hearing God’s Frequency

Understanding what it means to Hear God at the right frequency. Are you tuned in or tuned out?

Hello Everyone!

radioToday, I felt like discussing how we, as Christians and non-Christians can hear from God. I find it extremely amazing how God can talk to just anyone in order to have His voice heard. However, my focus is to simply outline my experience of how anyone can hear the voice of God by tuning into his frequency.

You must be wondering how does anyone in this world tune in to God’s frequency in order to hear Him better? I liken this experience to an analogy on the radio. Let’s just imagine that everyone in the whole world had access to the radio to hear about news, current events, your favorite music station and so on. We have to tune the radio to a specific frequency in order to obtain the information we need.  Now let us imagine that the radio channel the Christian believer is on is the frequency…

Press In Your Presence – I will fight to worship you!

dawn_

Hi Everybody!

I pray that you all are having a blessed Sunday. God is our strength from day to day and today is another day to give him the highest praise! :D

Today, I just want to seek y’all to pray for a young man by the name of Richie who is struggling with his family that is threatening him to stop pursuing praise and worship as a musician in our band. The situation is rather complex, but this young man loves God and wants to stay on our worship team, but the issues at home are preventing him from pursuing God with the passion he has burning in his chest to play his bass guitar with his friends in our praise team. He was beaten up by his father last night and the conditions at home are quite complicated since his father is living with another woman that is not his mother, and his grandmother is another obstacle that literally tried to stop him from coming to church last Sunday to do worship with us, however, he was able to make it after a phone call conversation with my Pastor. Seriously, can you believe that????!!!

People, this is what I mean when I say Worship is warfare…and unfortunately, in the case of Richie, this is the situation. Despite all of this, we are praying for him and we are taking steps to defend and fight for this young man that needs covering to get through all this. I simply cannot understand why people would want to prevent others from worshiping God, but without revealing too much personal information, what I will say is that we are up against a Strongman which is the spirit of RELIGION, coupled with PRIDE and ARROGANCE and a Spirit of CONTROL. So I pray that all my blogger friends join me and pray for this young man who seeks to pursue his passion to be a part of what God is doing. God wants this young man to worship freely and without being manipulated. He called my pastor and told him that he was really sad today because he really wanted to worship with us today. It really broke my heart because last week when he worshiped with us for the first time, he totally enjoyed it, I mean thoroughly enjoyed it. He has never felt so free in worship in his entire life and the best thing was that the whole band was comprised with his friends.

Worshiping God with freedom is a river to ones soul. It fills you and satisfies you in ways you cannot even begin to imagine or explain. The moment people try to snatch your worship away, it’s as if your soul has been thrust into a desert where you remain thirsty seeking for that drop of water to fill you with life again. I know personally and from experience that I cannot be in a place where worship is not done freely, and if a spirit of Control is attached to every action of a worshiper then aren’t we just marionettes singing songs masquerading as worship?

God doesn’t want a puppet show where one is only pulling at the strings, He wants each and every person to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

My Pastor is going to speak to the boy’s family today and as he does this let us put our hearts together and pray for this young man called Richie and pray that God breaks through in his situation. He is seeking God and we are praying that God will intervene in Jesus Name.

Thank you so much for praying with me everyone. I really appreciate it.

If two or more are seen as touching anything, whatever we ask of God, it shall be done, Amen!

Here is a song by Shana Wilson that came to me as a song that seems to be the right one to minister to this young man’s needs called Press in Your Presence. I pray that this song blesses your spirit today. God Bless you everybody! :D

So What Do We Do Now With Mark Driscoll?

So What Do We Do Now With Mark Driscoll?.

I read this article and thought to myself how sad it is that popular preachers are straying from the safety net of wise counselors by abusing their powers that not only affect the flock, but their spiritual walk with God on a personal basis.

I think the major take away from this article are the numbered items that I think are key for leaders to understand about their role. There is nothing wrong with making mistakes…but it is the attitude in which those refuse to repent or be corrected by them that worries me. I have seen this happen in a church before and all the signs are there, but people are too afraid to speak up, pay attention, or do something about it (i.e. confront their leaders). We are our brothers keeper…and it is a duty to make sure that when even a leader strays. we guide them back on the right path on the right road with love and compassion and direction. If we shy away from correcting them…are we not saying we don’t care for their lives???

This should be food for thought today.

What would Jesus want us to do? We cannot forsake our brothers and sisters…but if they refuse to change…they will have to answer to God in the long run for their own actions. Apostasy continues when people don’t stand up for what is right, allowing abuse to continue to happen.

As a watchwoman, I find this to be critical to watch out for this year…leaders will reap what they sow during the season of the harvest if they don’t repent. It is not God’s will to watch Christian leaders fall…He wants them to change their ways and humble themselves and pray and turn away from their wicked ways, and God will restore them and heal them and deliver them, if and when they do choose the path of the humble and decide to repent openly before God and their flock.

This is a good time to remind people of the warning signs of an unhealthy church:

1. Little or no accountability. When celebrity preachers seem eager to tell everyone else what to do but aren’t willing to hear correction from others, prepare for a train wreck. There is safety in the multitude of counselors (see Prov. 11:14). There is much less safety—even danger—when a leader does not seek counsel from a diverse group of his peers.

2. Spiritual elitism. If there is a spirit of control in a church, people are usually told their group is superior. If people choose to leave, they are shunned or branded as renegades. Sometimes, in extreme cases, people are even cursed if they leave. This cultic behavior inflicts unimaginable emotional suffering and also divides families.

3. An oppressive atmosphere. Authoritarian leaders control people through manipulation. This may come in the form of threats, legalistic demands, unreasonable requirements or false doctrines. In such a church no one is allowed to ask questions. Spiritual heaviness lies like a thick cloud over the congregation, and few believers manifest genuine joy.

4. Angry domination. Tyrants are surprisingly similar. Because they want to control their surroundings, they often blow up when people do not conform to their demands. Yet the apostle Paul taught that church leaders should not be “violent” or “quarrelsome” but “self-controlled” and “gentle” (see 1 Tim. 3:2-3). He also instructed Timothy that the Lord’s servant “must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone” (2 Timothy 2:24).

 5. A low view of women. While churches today differ in their views on women in leadership, it should be noted that authoritarian churches almost always discourage women from pursuing any genuine role in ministry. Women are viewed as useful only in their functions as submissive wives and mothers, and they are not encouraged to step beyond these confines to pursue ministry opportunities.

Let’s pray that the healing power of Jesus covers this situation in Seattle—and that the people who left Mars Hill Church, the people who remain there, and Mark Driscoll himself can recover from the trauma of spiritual abuse.

Should a Christian listen to secular music?

nightshade130:

All the things you wanted to know about music but were afraid to ask when thinking about what is acceptable before God

Originally posted on Pastor Mike Says:

secularMany Christians struggle with this question. Many secular musicians are immensely talented. Secular music can be very entertaining. There are many secular songs that have catchy melodies, thoughtful insights, and positive messages. In determining whether or not to listen to secular music, there are three primary factors to consider: 1) the purpose of music, 2) the style of music, and 3) the content of the lyrics.

1) The purpose of music. Is music designed solely for worship, or did God also intend music to be soothing and/or entertaining? The most famous musician in the Bible, King David, primarily used music for the purpose of worshipping God (see Psalm 4:1; 6:1, 54, 55; 61:1; 67:1; 76:1). However, when King Saul was tormented by evil spirits, he would call on David to play the harp in order to soothe him (1 Samuel 16:14-23)…
