Walking Down Memory Lane
Inside me I remember the days
Walking alongside memory lane,
The lifetime unfinished as the rays that play
Across the field is but a bountiful plain,
As I lay on my side along the grass,
sighing in my memory thinking ”Oh what a Day”.
With a heartbeat that runs towards the sun,
Remembering a life lived that stored all my fun,
Gently nudge me into this fantasy fair,
Where the flowers of youth bloom at midnights air.
I reminisce the moments where arms were embraced,
Where cake dough batter was my taste for love,
Showered by chocolate and sprinkles interlaced.
Of wonders of beauty, warmth bathing me from above.
I miss those days were tranquility was my room,
Where peace was my furniture,
Were love showed me no gloom.
Look at my journey down memory lane,
The footprints in the sand signal a trace of what is left,
When puddles wash away the past of my dear memory lane.
