One of the saddest things we always hear from people who come to our ministry for the first time is how shocked they are that we don't manipulate or threaten or beg during offering times.

They are literally amazed that we only receive one offering in any service and that we tell people we trust them to hear from God and won't put any pressure on them whatsoever to give.

You need seed in order to reap a Harvest. Understand the principle. It is a choice to sow into your own miracle. When you sow by faith, you reap by faith. You let go of what is in your hand so that God can give you what is in His Hand. People just need to know what it means to give by faith. Always listen to the Holy Spirit's leading before you give. I pray before I give and most times I'm told what amount I should give so trust God rather than being upset with man about giving. Listen more to the Holy Spirit's leading when giving your offering to the Lord. Your offering is about your relationship with God and not man, so understand the meaning and the principle. It is a demonstration of Faith when you sow into your miracle.

"I feel my purpose in life is to help others," replied the young massage therapist I encountered at a salon. She seemed sweet, happy, and content with where her life had taken her.

So I inquired, "What do you mean?"

"Well," she continued, "I am an Indian healer and I feel as if it is my purpose to help those in need.

I put todays blog on Facebook and someone asked me.."Where was God yesterday?"  This is what I posted back:

(Let's pray for those who are asking that same question....many are.)

Where was God during the shooting?  God was still on His mighty throne and knows all that has and is going on.  Why didn’t he do anything?  Why Katrina…Why 9/11…Why all the innocent people being killed tragically everyday?

We must know who we are really fighting against even in the midst of tragedy. Satan is not a respecter of persons. We all still need God even in the chaos and the confusion. Even if our hearts are broken...God is the only one that can put it back together again. May the families lean towards the Lord of Hosts as they remain covered in prayer.

I initially made it a thought of the day but have since decided to make this into a posting for today. So today I was thinking about how December seems to be the most stressful time of the year. I mean for me I enjoy it to some extent and for other reasons I dread it because the focus during this last month of the year is always about shopping like madness to scramble for "deals" to stuff we can buy for our families and friends because it's Christmas.

What have I learned this year?

I have learned that there are seemingly good relationships that are poisonous when that one person isolates you from being in contact with others. It was a form of control and abuse that started off subtly, but in the end I had to unfortunately (and yet fortunately) drop that relationship once I realized that this person was not out there for my best interests.

One the greatest battle grounds for a Christian is SELF!  We are warned many times in the Word that following the desires of self;  whether it be the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes or the pride of life,  we are walking on very dangerous ground.  Sometimes even the slightest "self" things get in the way of having an abundant day with our Father and Lord Jesus.

What are the things that we encounter that prevent us from progress and stop us from exploring and trying out new things? I realized that as much as I have spoken about positive thinking and negativity, it is easy for us to overlook the fundamental things that are considered hindrances to progress. I believe comfort zones are one of them.

The Curse is Broken

Hi Everybody!

I was thinking about what to write up today and decided to touch on breaking of curses.

The Blood of Jesus that was shed for you and me at the cross breaks every curse that is in existence in your life if you just believe.

It says in the Word that:

Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Isn’t it amazing! Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ took all of our shame, took all of our sins from our fore fathers and generations passed, and bore all of them on His body, shed by His precious and innocent blood so that we could all be HEALED and DELIVERED and be SET FREE from the CURSE of the Law that had kept all of us bound.  Glory be to GOD!

I believe that the Lord wants every person to know that there is no sin too great or too small that hasn’t been covered by the blood of Jesus.

Through Jesus we are forgiven because Jesus forgives ALL sin. He became cursed for us so that we no longer have to remain cursed. Jesus’ blood covers all sin, all generational curses, and all of our iniquities that has passed on from generation to generation, so that we can all be free in Christ our redeemer. Praise be to GOD!

Galatians 3:13
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” ),

Every generational curse can be broken through a process of deliverance that is initiated by first identifying the sin, confessing the sin, then repenting of the sin and then renouncing the sin and then giving the Lord praise when receiving the Lords forgiveness and freedom of guilt from the sin.

It is only through the powerful name and blood of Jesus that can break a curse operating in our lives.

Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.’

Jesus Christ is Lord, so it is important that when you go through your daily lives and you find yourself struggling with habitual tendencies, or recurring patterns of behavior, or areas of sin that you have had trouble trying to break free from on your own (even after confessing it), this is when you must call on the name of JESUS and bring the issue to the forefront before the Lord and seek His face to help you break free from the sin. You cannot break free on your own without the Lords help so submit to the bondage-breaking power of Jesus and He will set you free.

You must have FAITH and BELIEVE in the power of Jesus for your healing and deliverance. <—- this is very important.

It is only through your faith that you can become whole.

John 8:36
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

In many cases, when dealing with a curse operating in your life, deliverance maybe required to handle the issue and in such cases I strongly suggest that when you identify that this is what you need to break free from it, then you should seek mature and seasoned Christians to pray with you as well.

Sometimes, certain struggles require a lot of intercessory prayer to back you up, but that doesn’t mean you stop praying for yourself to get healed and delivered just because others are praying for you. It is very important to pray everyday so pray without ceasing and giving up and when you need help, don’t be afraid to ask for others to pray with you in agreement with whatever it is that you need covering for. There is more power in prayer when others come together with you and pray with you in agreement.

Intercessors that flow in the gifts of the healing & deliverance ministry can help you with high level curses and can instruct you through the process of your deliverance if that is what you need. Discernment is so required in this area and also consider that you may be required to fast in cases where you are dealing with strongholds that need to be broken over your life. The process of deliverance varies on a case by case basis so don’t be discouraged if your deliverance from a curse takes a little longer than others. The point is to never give up and keep your faith fixed on Jesus the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2) for your healing and deliverance and for your breakthrough.

I would definitely recommend reading the book by Rebecca Brown called Unbroken Curses as a starter book to get some background knowledge in order to pray effectively in your prayer life in this area and I would also recommend Cindy Trimm’s book called Rules of Engagement as well if you need some resources to help you in the process of identifying the areas that you may need to pray over in your life to break the curses that you find are operating in your life or in your family’s lives.

Remember, it is only through the powerful name of Jesus that you can be set free from whatever struggle you face. Jesus defeated every curse on the cross through His blood. Never forget what Jesus did for you when you pray. Always remember the name of the Lord, Amen!

God is in the healing & deliverance business, AMEN!

“[A Calm Resolve to Wait for the Salvation of God] To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.” Psalm 62:1NKJV

Micah 7:18-19 (NIV)

18 Who is a God like you,
    who pardons sin and forgives the transgression
    of the remnant of his inheritance?
You do not stay angry forever
but delight to show mercy.
19 You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

I believe that there are so many people out there struggling to break curses in their lives and feel that there is no way out of their situation. God is saying, I AM THE WAY OUT because He is Jehovah Rophe (I AM HEALER; “The Lord who Heals“). Look to Jesus as the answer to your problem for He indeed is the Way the Truth and the Life (John 14:6) and He is the curse and bondage breaker, Amen! Pray continuously and never give up, because God is able to break every curse in your life, AMEN!

I have two songs for you today, one by James Fortune & FIYA called The Curse is Broken and the other by Virtue singing Healin’. May these songs minister to you today. God bless you everybody!

Consumer Worship

Hi Everybody!

Happy TGIF!

Well, I hope you are all having a blessed week :D . I wanted to give you all a wonderful vid to look at today concerning how we view worship. Worship is important to me and I can’t help but notice that I seem to be having an ongoing theme regarding it. Like I said before, Worship is not a Sunday affair. It should be a daily practice that can be demonstrated in how you give of yourself and your time to the Lord. I hope people don’t have a designated 5 minute time slot for the Lord when He is always with you every single moment of every single day. Unfortunately, many Christians are giving the Lord the silent treatment acting like He’s not there so today, I would like for us to think about what you have done to show God how much you love Him. I sing about Him, I write, I give my time and money to the things of the Lord, I read, I talk about Him…God is always on my mind everyday. I pray that we also have Him in our hearts each day. Worship God with all of your mind, body and your soul everybody. God deserves our Worship :) .

May this video bless your spirit today! God bless you everybody!

The Man by the Bus Stop – Finale

Hi Everybody!

This is the conclusion of the story. I’m actually happy that it’s done. I have been thinking of making it into a broader story, but I don’t want to over complicate the main gist of the story. It’s kind of strange but I kind of got emotional as I was writing it. I’m not really good at writing sad tales, but the inspiration for this story came to me after I had a vision of a man sitting at the bus stop. Weird huh? Well, that’s all folks! Happy Reading :D

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Tell her that though she has forgotten the promise that we made to each other with the vow that I said I would never break,  though she has turned away and left my heart and given hers to someone else, I will always love her… always and forever. Tell her Simone… tell her that I forgive her for abandoning this promise and love that I have for her. There is no hatred in my heart towards her even now… and though my heart is broken, I will always love her no matter what she decides to do in the end.”
He smiled a very painful smile that could make your heart break as another tear ran down his face. You could tell that all he could think about was about his runaway bride.
                What kind of girl was she that he couldn’t let this chick go! Simone thought about it feeling rather annoyed as she felt herself filling up with anger and swelling with envy. She doesn’t deserve this awesome looking guy!!! If she didn’t want him, then I’ll gladly take him! is what she thought, realizing like she sounded like someone on the rebound.
Simone simply could not accept this guys resolve to forgive such a blaring betrayal of this precious love that he once shared with a woman to whom she felt did not deserve his heart at all. Even though Simone had never met her, she had no sympathy for such a pathetic-minded woman who did not even think twice about cheating on the guy who was in a war overseas fighting to come back to his fiance. Simone was so infuriated that she really wanted this guy to let go of this sorry excuse of a relationship and move on with appreciation because he now knew the true colours of his cheating tramp. She could not understand how such a devoted guy ended up with such a girl who clearly had loose morals and yet be able to love her the way that he did.
               Give up on her already!!!! she screamed inside her head as Simone continued to seethe with anger, feeling completely outraged that he could remain unrelenting  to forgive such a betrayal that was the cause of his bleeding heart. Simone began to yell at him while feeling emotional and out of control,
“How could you honestly forgive such a woman who doesn’t even remotely deserve you let alone doesn’t even seem to care that you exist! How could y…”
“How could I not?” he interrupted.  ”I have always loved her.” he said calmly without batting an eyelid. His unrelenting devotion was really starting to bother Simone quite a lot because she had a billion things she had to say based on her experience with heartbreak; however, she decided to not interrupt him out of politeness as he continued on to speak.
“Simone, you may not know this but there came a time where she began to love me too. When the reality of my line of work and the things I had to sacrifice began to surface during the course of our relationship, it seemed apparent that I may have overlooked how it may have been too much for her to handle. I assumed that the love we shared between us could withstand any trial. How wrong I was… Even though I promised her I would return… for her, it could be that she suffered while she waited for me. It could be that she grew weary of me and my promise…and it could be that she had finally decided to give up on me….She probably thought I was dead which isn’t necessarily far from the truth. She doesn’t know that if it hadn’t been for her being in my heart, I would not have fought to live for her once again. The day I came back from the dead was when I vowed I’d never die like that again and leave her alone like that again….that’s why Simone…” he shifted his body to look directly at Simone and said,
“I don’t want you to hate her because there is no hate in my heart for her….Try to understand where she is coming from too. She is my lifeline. She brought me back to life because she is the very reason that I live. I won’t taint my new reborn heart with bitterness….even though the sorrow I feel is difficult to bear, I still have faith in her.”
Simone began to calm down feeling speechless to his confession. She seriously did not know how to take what he was saying to her at all. His message to her was far from over as he continue on to say,
“Simone, please promise me that you’ll tell her that I have faith in her… and please tell her that I will wait until she returns her heart back to me even if it takes forever”.
Simone had never heard such heartrending words like that from any guy she had ever met. It made her feel foolish for being so callous about his ex-fiance. The guy spoke with such honest feeling in his words that she could not find it in her heart to deny his request.
“Ok… I’ll help you find her and tell her what you told me…” was what she said as she nodded in reassurance that she would keep her promise, unlike a certain someone that he cared for. It occurred to her that her own relationship with Clive was one filled with many broken promises on both their parts. Simone began to wonder if that was the reason for such a failed relationship in the first place. Both of them were selfish and unreasonable when it came down to it. She began to realize that she had not loved Clive in the way that this guy loved his fiance. It could be possible that Clive also did not even know the meaning of true love either, since he gave up on their relationship so easily and so soon.  How Simone wished she had a guy like the one sitting next to her at that moment…
Wait a minute, she didn’t even know his name but he knew hers…how in the world was that possible! she thought.
She wanted to ask him about that when all of a sudden the bus she had been waiting for had finally arrived.
“Oh it seems that the bus is here, are you getting on?” she asked him. While he was putting on his silk gloves, she noticed that his face was dry from all the crying and was now starting to glow. When had he wiped the tears off his face??? she wondered. She was there the whole time and never saw him once use the Kleenex tissue that she had offered to him earlier. He began to smile as if he could read her thoughts which kind of freaked her out.
“Here” he said as he handed her a red umbrella that Simone was sure was not with him earlier. “Take this umbrella Simone. I don’t want you to get wet from the rain”.
She took the umbrella without thinking as she asked him “Aren’t you coming with me?”
“I’m waiting for the next bus” he answered back. “Thank you for listening to my story Simone.” is what he said as he continued to smile radiantly. It seems that off loading this burdensome story had been a therapeutic experience for this amazing guy that now stood upright and cheerful.
              I guess this promise means a lot to him, is what she thought as she took the umbrella off his hands.
“You’re Welcome,” she replied as she turned around to step onto the bus to pay the fair.
“Simone…here, take this rose as my way of saying thank you and goodbye.” he said as he handed her the white rose that was once nestled in the breast pocket of his wedding tux. Simone took the rose and smiled at it thinking it was a strange but romantic gesture. She looked back at him and noticed that his face looked different. It looked like it was glowing even more than before as he continued to smile at her with such a kind smile that it was almost  breath-taking.
“Are ya gettin’ on or are ya gettin’ off lady?” asked the rude bus driver to Simone who seemed to be in lala land feeling mesmerized by this new expression that she had not seen on the guy’s face the whole night until now. She turned to face the bus driver who had rudely awakened her from this wonderful moment and replied,
“Sorry, I’m getting on, I’m getting on, gees can’t you just wait?” The bus driver shut the doors behind her immediately ignoring her remarks just before she could do or say anything.  Simone swung around quickly wanting to wave  goodbye to the perfect stranger and ask for his name and number, but it was too late. The man had already disappeared so quickly that she wondered,
             How and where did he go? Where the heck did the guy go?
She was so stunned at the guy’s sudden departure that she crouched into the nearest seat to contemplate what had just happened. The whole evening was  just so weird and she knew for sure that it was not a dream because she had the red umbrella in her hand to prove it and yet the whole encounter still felt like a dream, or something out of the twilight zone. She looked at the umbrella carefully and thought,
             Wow this looks a lot like the one I left at Clive’s place. Hey wait a minute….!
She grabbed the handle of the umbrella and inspected it a little further and searched the handle to make sure that her eyes were not deceiving her. Her real umbrella had her name inscribed on it so she had to make sure that her mind was not playing tricks on her. She scanned the handle and recognized the name written on it was in the same penmanship as her own except that it did not just say “Simone” on the handle. Instead, what was inscribed on the handle now said:
Thank you Simone – Emmanuel“.
Emmanuel…is that the guys name? What a gorgeous name for a perfect stranger. Simone thought as she began to smile and giggle at herself reminiscing about this strange gift that he had given her and contemplated about the weirdness of this whole entire situation. It had just occurred to her that the depression she had been milling around earlier during the course of the entire evening was now gone. She felt very light for some reason… like as if a warm feeling was now enveloping her heart.
She smiled to herself and thought “Thanks Emmanuel. I thought I was going to be alone this whole night but you came just in time.”
Just then she had remembered the white rose that he had given her as they had parted and searched her bag wanting to view it again. She felt one the petals of the flower and managed to pull it out of her lulu lemon bag. To her amazement, the flower that she had drawn out was no longer white in colour, but now had turned bright red. Simone could not believe that this was the same rose he had given her. Wasn’t it white earlier or was it red? I’m so sure it was white, why is it red now???? She thought as she examined the flower carefully. I must be imagining things, she reasoned. Simone continued to examine the flower and noticed that at the base of the stem was a small white note wrapped around it like one of those you would see on a Hershey Kiss chocolate. Simone unraveled the note to read what was written while contemplating  how sure she was that this little piece of paper was not there before. She reasoned that maybe she had not noticed it was on the rose earlier when the guy had given it to her as his parting gift since everything was done in such a rush and she was still getting sober by the minute. She unraveled the note and inside it read:
                                             To my bride – I love you always and forever. (John 3:16).
Simone began to feel a tidal wave of emotions envelope her as she began to choke up and cry while reading the note. She started to laugh at the same time as she began to realize the true identity of Emmanuel’s bride. She clasped the gift in her hand as she closed her eyes to whisper “Thank you” to the perfect stranger.
The End.
Sherly Thoughts of the Day
Hi Everybody!
You must be wondering what’s up with Sherline and her blogging hiatus? Well, it’s been a very busy couple of weeks but I’m back and figured I’d do a unique post. I love quoting from amazing minds, but today you get to hear mine. Some are tweetable and some I have tweeted. Enjoy my random wisdom quotes from yours truly. Have a blessed day everybody. Let me know which ones spoke to you :D
                                                             Sherline-isms of the Day
God meets us wherever we are. Even if we’re sitting by a dusty road, He doesn’t pass us by without taking a hold of our hand.
Knowing that God is in us, ask yourself how many strangers have encountered Christ today when YOU passed by?
We cannot afford to be bound by Unbelief as Children of God. It’s way too expensive.
Faith doesn’t come at a discount price. Jesus paid it all with His blood.
Unbelief seeks to cap you with lovely friends called Fear, Depression, Hatred, Envy, Self-pity and Pride.
Faith takes you to the destination hence Destinies are tied to FAITH. Unbelief aborts DESTINY and DESTINATIONS.
Faith is a Movement. Unbelief halts and aborts this Movement.
Seek God to help you develop your FAITH MOVEMENT and walk with the Gospel of TRUTH as your guide to Faith.
We shouldn’t stop seeking miracles in a faithless world that is so used to the rational. Seek the unexpected & expect that it won’t be rational.
Command your morning each day and seek God to protect your hedge of Protection each day. Don’t allow room for there to be a breach.
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty through God to pull down strongholds and are weapons of mass restoration and deliverance.
The Helper teaches you to encourage yourself. Speak to the Christ in you the Hope of Glory for the joy of the Lord is your Strength. Use it.
Increase the number of faith steps in your life to achieve your miracle walk that will eventually become a race towards the goal set b4 u..
Every big achievement starts with careful planning and it begins with one small faith step.
If God can use Balaam’s donkey, than God can use technology to bring forth Revival.
Lets have a new thing happen. A Global Twitter Revival. A facebook Revival. A blogosphere Revival. God can use social media for Revival.
The Holy Spirit doesn’t need to Tweet or Facebook Poke us to get our attention because He is always talking to us all the time. We must learn to listen to Him.
It’s one thing to see something with your natural eyes, but it is another thing to discern something with your spiritual eyes. Which eyes are you using?
If Jesus had a twitter account, how many of us would Follow Him????
Don’t pray to God for stuff. Pray to God for His plan over your life. He already has the provision for His vision over your Life.
Open up your mouth and give the Lord Praise. Don’t let no rock out praise you.
We must get into the practice of saying “Good morning Holy Spirit” since He is a person. we must repent of giving Him the silent treatment.
Command your mornings by making sure that the Lord your God is the Alpha and Omega of your Day. You woke up to the Alpha so give Him Praise.
Because we are the Salt of the Earth we must always be in Season and understand the Seasons and add flavour to a world that lacks seasoning.
When was the last time you talked with the Holy Spirit?He is a person waiting to speak with you each moment.Won’t you join the conversation?
Without Godliness…there lies an empty shell. Seek out the Fruit of the Holy Spirit and be adorned in the beauty of its wisdom, Fearing God
Beautiful doesn’t mean Godly. Whatever is Godly becomes Beautiful just because of its Godly nature.
Because we are the SALT of the Earth we haven’t got time to Sugar-coat the GOSPEL OF TRUTH! Amen!
If You want Heaven to Touch Earth, then let what you do on Earth Touch Heaven!
To God we are a Holy Nation so clearly we must reflect the image of our Heavenly city, don’t you agree?
Being peculiar doesn’t mean being weird, it means being different, set-apart, distinguished, recognizable, easily identifiable and stands out.
Being Christian should be OBVIOUS. It shouldn’t be something that we need a flash light for to find you among the crowd.
Life is a great teacher, but not everyone is in the classroom.
Un-equal yokes don’t just happen…they occur after hanging out with the wrong crowd for extended periods of time.
Every person is a door & they hold a key that leads you closer to destiny. Respect each key given to you otherwise you’ll be locked outside.
Disagreement binds people, but agreement frees people. Find that person of agreement.
The power of agreement is such that it causes tens of thousands to be put to flight. Find that person of agreement.
As people are one revelation away from breakthrough, you are also one relationship away from it to. Find your person of agreement.
I love the fact that when you call on God, He answers. It doesn’t matter where you are, We never lose a signal unlike our cellphones.
The most important thing is understanding who you are in Christ. Declare that you are the Head and not the Tail. Above only & never beneath!
It’s amazing what people say when you just sit there and listen…
The eyes are said to be the windows of the soul…however, we hold the keys to the doorway of our hearts. Let Jesus in so that He can look through your windows.
Light is what we must be with a flavour of salt. :)
Don’t claim in the name if you don’t live in the name of Jesus.
Hope you enjoyed my tweetable Sherline-isms. Many thoughts and words of Wisdom. Have a blessed-filled-God Inspired day Everybody! Love Ya!
Romans 12:6-8, "In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging.
An interesting view on what keeps us from using our giftings for the Lord. We must give our all to Him if we want to be effective sons and daughters of the Most High God.
Hey Swag readers, I am awed by your support and the praise that you continuously shower me with in the comment sections. The last post, "Men, Know Your Places" was surprisingly popular and I'm tempted to bathe in the luxury of your praises but I dare not because I'm blessed with good teachers, and because all knowledge cometh from God. I am neither a relationship counselor nor a Pastor but I will be happy to answer any questions you have about whatever situation you're going through, and share with you a bible based solution the best way I know how.
