Sunday Inspiration: Believe
Hi everybody!
Right now, I’m going through something that requires me to increase my Faith. I’ve recently been laid off and need God’s divine intervention in my situation. I’m not ashamed of my circumstances because I’ve decided to Trust God for what I need. Now, in such circumstances it is easy to forget Him and decide to forsake Him in times of trouble, but I know in whom I believe. I’ve resolved within myself that I can’t afford to be depressed although there was a few days this week where I knew it was creeping up on me. I’ve heard of others going through the same thing as me in this season and in some circumstances, they are a bit worse off in the situation as I am however, despite all that, God has been encouraging me to keep my faith alive and stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Sometimes, people stop ministering when bad things happen to them, however, I have decided to remain anchored in Christ. We’ve got to learn to trust God not only in the good times but in the bad times as well. The way I see it, this is a test of endurance. I know that when you feel pressure it is easy to crack mentally and it has happened to me before, however, I don’t want to go around in circles anymore with such a reaction and I have decided to remain steadfast and keep my faith alive because I’m believing for a divine turn-around in my situation. I’ve been speaking to my circumstances and calling forth things that be not as though they are because it’s easy to brood about what is happening rather than speak to your situation and prophesy what you want to see happen. I am believing that I am not in lack, that I am in a transition for multiplication and territory increase. That is what I have been praying for as of late.
God has been really testing me in this area of Faith. One thing I know is that when you are in lack, God is able to create a river through your desert situation.
18 “Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
20 The beast of the field will honor Me,
The jackals and the ostriches,
Because I give waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My people, My chosen.
I’m standing on the Word and believing that even when in lack, God is my river that is running through my desert. He is the way maker, the one who is able to create opportunities for His people that believe in Him. This song that I’m posting here today is from Marvin Winans Jr. called Believe. It is an up beat song, but it really has been ministering to my spirit as of late. I still believe that even in this Season of Renewal, we must yield to the power of the Holy Spirit. What I’ve come to believe is that when you have nothing, that is when you give of yourself to the Lord the most. Like that Widow that lived in the desert with her son that had only enough food to eat one more day and listened to Elijah the Prophet and gave him something to eat according to his request in her time of lack, God is able to increase the very little that you have if you obey His voice in this season. Her food was a seed that would reap a harvest of an abundance of food because she understood the principle of SEED – TIME – HARVEST. The little food she had was what she used to sow into her miracle by giving the very last of what she had to the Man of God, God saw her heart and blessed her with a divine increase in a time where such a thing was impossible or unlikely to occur. She probably didn’t even know that she was working a principle and a promise from God that says “I will bless those that bless you”(Genesis 12:3). When she blessed the Prophet, she herself received a blessing which was an abundance in a time of lack.
Our God is a God of the ridiculous and it is that Faith Level that I believe that God is testing me with even in my own season. God is able to increase the very little we have when we decide to cooperate with Him and the Holy Spirit. I believe that is the key thing here, OBEDIENCE!
Elijah and the Widow
8 Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 9 “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.” 10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, “Please bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink.” 11 And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.”
12 So she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”
13 And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. 14 For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’”
15 So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days. 16 The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.
I believe that it is when you have nothing that you give of yourself all the more to God and you will see increase when you are told to give the very little that you have by FAITH. It’s very easy to give when you aren’t in lack and most times, God knows how easy it is for people to give when their resources are high; but what happens when God asks you to give when your resources are running low? Do we choose to believe in Him and do what He asks of us? Sometimes, God asks me to do crazy things and recently He has asked me to sow a seed into someone who is facing the same thing as I am; however, I’m choosing to believe in His Word and bless others anyway even though I know that eventually my resources will run dry because I know that God is testing my Faith and seeking for me to increase it. Whatever I have now is seed for my harvest which also includes even my praise and worship.
Seed into your need and God will increase you in your time of Lack when you obey His voice.
I believe that He is the same yesterday, today and forever, and that He knows my needs according to His riches and glory. He is well able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we could ever ask or think, however, He wants to see if we believe enough for Him to do it. Though I feel challenged, I’m convinced that I serve a God who is well able to bring into completion my destiny and that He is walking with me through this season to be a testimony of “Look at what the Lord has Done!”
I appreciate any prayers or words of encouragement from my readers reading this post today. I know that my God is an awesome God and I have chosen be simply BELIEVE! For those that are going through some serious issues, my encouragement to you today is LEAN ON GOD and put your Trust in Him. We may lose a lot of things in life, but one thing we must NEVER lose is our FAITH IN GOD. Faith is what keeps you anchored in Christ and Faith is what births the miraculous, because the JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH (Hebrews 10:38), AMEN!
I hope you like this song everybody. God Bless You everybody!
The Season of the NEW
Hi Everybody!
Today is the 2nd day of Spring! I woke up this morning with an encouraging Word that spoke to my spirit a couple of days ago. In my life there have been extreme changes taking place that have made things rather murky and in a sense uncomfortable for me. I’m seeing people leave my life and new ones entering into it… there have been moments I have had mixed emotions about what I’m seeing, but the Lord encouraged me as I meditated on the meaning of Easter. He gave me this specific scripture:
18 “Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
20 The beast of the field will honor Me,
The jackals and the ostriches,
Because I give waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My people, My chosen.
I believe that this is an encouraging Word for you and me Today. I believe that God is setting up people for an expansion of new territories and changes in their lives. When there is an expansion of territory it means you have to discover what is in those territories in order to claim whatever exists in that territory as yours. Whatever NEW thing that presents itself in your life, DO NOT FEAR the NEW changes, rather seek to walk by faith into the NEW thing that God is doing in your life because it is in these unchartered territories that you will see great things happen and manifest in your life. I admit that I am a little apprehensive and at the same time excited about the NEW things that God has planned in my life; however, I choose to be willing to continue to move by faith and see what happens. So many things have shifted within a short time frame that I believe that it is necessary for these changes to occur in order to move you and increase your belief to be strengthened from FAITH to FAITH.
This means you have to RENEW your way of thinking and the way you do things. Do Not Fear Change, instead, embrace it and walk into it by FAITH and see amazing things happen in your life.I have a song that I still love and have posted before in a post I think I did a year ago and it’s from Dorinda Clarke Cole called Everything He Promised. May this Song bless your Spirit Everybody!
Worship in the Fast: My God is Awesome!
Hi Everybody!
In this fast, I’ve been basking myself in uplifting praise songs. It really prepares your spirit to worship and to fight as you pray seeking God for direction and instructions. Worship is a lifestyle and in this Daniel fast, it is the most powerful tool to have close by when you encounter attacks coming out of nowhere. Fix your heart, mind, body and soul towards Jesus. He can protect you from confusion, depression, pressure, anger, and any type of negative thoughts that start to attack your mind. Spiritual Warfare is not a joke. For those that are participating in the 21 Day Daniel Fast, it is imperative that you focus your mind to think positive and wholesome thoughts. Guard your mind and hold it captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 10:5
casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
Bless your soul with worship when you are feeling low…it’s a mighty weapon of warfare that should not be underestimated especially at this time. Fill your spirit with WORSHIP and it will be so natural by the time you come into a Sunday service to lift your hands and give the Lord PRAISE. Some people can be soooo down that they are unable to lift their hands because something is missing in their lives. It’s worship….don’t wait until Sunday pops by to get your worship on. You’ve got to practice it everyday until it becomes natural to you. Many have this amazing weapon of warfare, but can’t get delivered simply because they aren’t using this weapon of warfare. It’s time for God’s people to rise up and Give the Lord Praise and Worship so that they can see Him move mightily in their lives.
If we want to sing songs of DELIVERANCE….we have to fill our spirits with WORSHIP everyday! If you don’t, then it will be as if you are going into battle without weapons hoping that you will win. God ensures victory when we give Him Praise and especially when we Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. So today, fill your spirit with Worship and fix your attitude about Worship. The strategy of the enemy is always to steal the Lord’s worship so what better way than to distract us from using this powerful weapon of warfare by robbing our attention and focus from God by making us focus on our problems rather than seeking God and seeing God as the answer to our problems. Fill your spirit with songs of Deliverance and surely God will Deliver you out of your trial.
Psalm 32:7
You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah

Sunday Worship: A Place of Worship when All I Want is You
Hi Everybody!
Boy…I’ve never felt so challenged than the last couple of weeks battling pneumonia… but God is faithful to heal me. I know that Zig Ziglar (November 6, 1926 – November 28, 2012), one of the greatest Christian motivators of our time passed away from Pneumonia this past Wednesday and it makes me appreciate life in a whole new way. It’s amazing how we take life for granted sometimes. A simple cold can take your life away.
Today, I just want to give the Lord praise for all that He keeps doing for my life. I worshiped God today in the morning service at my church, but it was really hard…I was struggling to breathe and I wanted to cry so bad because of the pain I was feeling in my lungs, but no one knows how much worship is warfare on its own. Despite all this, I still gave it my all because when you minister to people and when you minister to GOD…you have to learn to step outside of yourself. Some people during the service were getting healed and delivered. My lungs suffered, but God still receives the Glory. I realize that being a worshiper isn’t just standing there and singing a song….it’s literally a fight of faith even when the odds are against you. People in the pew don’t know your struggles if you are a praise team member in your own church because all they want is to be ministered too; However, as a minister on the Praise team…I’ve come to appreciate my role and have come to love God More and more because worship is warfare…When you love God, you set aside your pride and realize that even as a minister, you are not superhuman just because you can sing, you recognize your fragility and remain humble as you recognize that you still need Jesus to come through for you, even when you serve the King of Kings at such an honorable capacity. I needed Jesus to help me today to praise despite the pain I was feeling in my own lungs and witnessed the Holy Spirit move and minister to people in the congregation as I saw the angels at work with my own spiritual eyes…I can testify that God is completely awesome and I will remain in awe of Him forever.
He gives me strength to do things even when it’s hard when I decide to remain faithful with what I have to do. God doesn’t care about flowery worship….He seeks those to Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.
John 4:23
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.John 4:24
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
It’s when you as a worshiper come in communion with the One who is the source of all Truth that makes your worship a powerful weapon that can defeat the evil works planned against your life. Many people prefer worshiping God when all is well….but what happens to the individual when life is taking a turn for the worse?….do you let go of your most powerful weapon which is worship out of your hand and allow yourself to be defeated? No…you should worship even more…even in the worst times of your life because if you let go of that weapon of warfare….your worship will die…and your spirit will die….you yourself, will become your own self-fulfilling prophecy. Never let Go of God. Worship Him…and He will come through for you even in the difficult times. Even if you loose your voice …. pick up a CD and listen to praise and worship and have it in your heart. Worship….is warfare… keep that weapon on you at all times. It’s the one thing that I have in my car that has literally helped me evade car accidents. Worship is a divine gift….don’t allow anyone to steal your worship. When you do that…. you become a slave to self-pity. Don’t get ensnared with that prideful activity.
Worship the Lord your GOD in Spirit and in Truth, and Jesus will make a WAY out of no way for you if you just believe.

I have here two songs by William McDowell called Place of Worship and All I Want is You. May these songs bless your spirit today. God Bless you everybody!

The Bride of Christ is Anointed
Hello Everybody!
What a splendid Monday we are having. I know some people are grumbling about going to work on Monday but honestly, each day is an amazing blessing from the Lord. If you are reading this post today, then you indeed are in a blessed position. Today My focus is regarding the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins. This Parable is one I’ve read many times, but during my mediation, the Spirit of the Lord highlighted some things to me that I’d like to share with you here regarding that parable.
Let’s Read:
Matthew 25
New King James Version (NKJV)
The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins
25 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming;[a] go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour[b] in which the Son of Man is coming.
This parable takes note of the actions of the 5 wise virgins and the 5 foolish ones. The 5 Wise virgins should be the state of the Church of Jesus Christ; however, some people in different churches are operating like the 5 foolish virgins.
What did the wise Virgins do to be received by their bridegroom versus the 5 foolish virgins?
I know that many read the story in its literal sense, but the oil that is being talked about in the parable is symbolic of ANOINTING…the lamp was their Spiritual vessels. This goes back to the question I have asked in a previous post regarding “How Great is Our God in YOU?”. I stated before that you can only determine how Great Christ is in you by how you cultivate an intimate relationship with Him. The wise virgins knew how important it was that in their waiting they kept the Light of Christ in them burning by renewing the oil to keep the lamp ablaze. Christ recognises the LIGHT shining in the lamps of the virgins because the light produced in these lamps is fueled by the light of HIS WORD.
The 5 Foolish Virgins brought vessels without oil to refuel their lamps and slept and got lazy in verse 5 and allowed the Light of God’s Word in their own vessels to fizzle out. The Oil that they neglected to bring with them so that they could refuel their lamps is the anointing. This is something that could have been avoided and yet by their own choice, these 5 foolish Virgins allowed the Light of Gods Word in their own vessels to be quenched by being unable to re-fuel their lamps with fresh anointing to keep their lamps burning which is an indication of their lack of faith in Christ . Just because the Bridegroom is delayed does not mean that He has denied to meet His bride. By the time the 5 foolish Virgins had realized that they had quenched the fire of their own vessels they assumed that they could rely on the anointing of the 5 wise virgins to ignite their lamps again, but this anointing oil is not cheap.
ANOINTING COMES WITH A PRICE at the cost of perserverance and endurance to run the race that is set before you no matter what the obstacles. Re-fueling and re-oiling comes with a price that these 5 foolish virgins did not understand as something that was important when they neglected to bring with them oil to refuel their vessels. It is no wonder why the 5 wise Virgins who VALUED the anointing refused to share their precious anointing (which was the oil) with the 5 Foolish virgins because if they were so irresponsible as to have neglected to purchase oil to keep their lamps burning in the first place…it could stand to reason that they would not value whatever the 5 Wise ones had left. The 5 wise virgins came prepared to keep the anointing in their lives to remain burning ablaze while these 5 foolish ones had nothing to refuel their faith with and this is the reason why their fires were so easily QUENCHED. They did not VALUE the anointing. If they did, they would have come prepared with fresh oil to keep their lamps burning.
The end result was that they ran to purchase oil TOO LATE while the Bridegroom, who is JESUS CHRIST had already picked up His Bride which were the 5 Wise virgins who had kept the Light of God’s Word burning in their vessels. When the 5 foolish ones came back, they saw that the door was closed and they kept crying to enter in, but the Lord could not recognize them… Why? because they had NO LIGHT in them which is the evidence of FAITH in GOD’s Word. This is why the Bridgegroom says in the twelfth verse of this scripture ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
Friends….we have to be more like the 5 Wise Virgins…the anointing comes at a price and if you Value it…you will see Jesus and Jesus will only recognize His Bride as one that has the Light of God’s Word burning within their Vessels. This is why we must aim to be VESSELS OF HONOR for GOD. When you Honor God, He Honors You in return by fulfilling that which He has promised. He will return to His Bride…but the question is….Have we (the Church) kept the FIRE Burning????? Remember, it is by our own choice to keep this Fire of Faith burning in our lives. We cannot afford to be like the 5 foolish Virgins that allowed the Light of God’s Word to be quenched because they did not VALUE the price of the Anointing. Anyone who is in Christ is ANOINTED so today…keep that fresh fire falling on you today, AMEN!
Food for thought.
I have a song by Preashea Hilliard called Fresh Fire. May this Song bless you today everybody!
Trust In Me Now
Hello Everybody!
I just wanted to drop in and give you a worship song for your Tuesday Morning. God has everything in the palm of His hands for you. All you have to do is Trust Him even if your circumstances seem bleak. That is what FAITH is. Did you know that Faith has Substance. It is tangible, because it is the evidence of things you have yet to see. Just because you don’t see your breakthrough right now, doesn’t mean God hasn’t already formulated a plan for it. All He’s seeking is for you to BELIEVE in Him. Can you do that today? Stretch out your Hands, Stretch out your Heart and Have Faith to not only see your miracle but to receive it as well. God bless you Everybody!
Hebrews 11:1
[ By Faith We Understand ] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Focus on the Greater Within You
Hi Everybody!
You must be wondering what’s up with the title today? You know that verse of Scripture that says:
1 John 4:4
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
When you choose Christ as “the Way, the Truth and the Life” (John 14:1; John 14:6) in the process of our Salvation, You allow Him to enter into your heart as you give permission to allow the Holy Spirit to transform your old ways of thinking and doing things to become a new creation in Christ. We are all new creations in Christ when we accept Him as Lord and Savior; however, in our walk, we determine how great He is in us as we choose how far we are willing to follow Jesus in His way, in His Truth and in the path that He leads us to eternal Life in Him, with Him, and through Him.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
The question of “How Great is our God?” can only be determined on an individualistic basis based on how much we have cultivated building a relationship with Him in our lives. Someone only becomes great in our hearts when we are in relationship with them built on a foundation of Trust, Faith, and Belief.
How much do you Trust Jesus?
How much Faith do you have in Jesus?
How much do you Believe in Jesus?
The measure of these things determines how great He is in you.
Jesus overcame the world for us (John 16:33). We can only overcome the world when we have Jesus Christ inside of us who is the hope of Glory (Romans 5:2; Colossians 1:27). I believe that as Christians we have to pursue the Greatest of the Great so that by one mere look at you, it is evident that you are Christian. The light that comes from you, illuminates that which is already inside of you which is the message of Jesus Christ.
How great is the light of Jesus’ Word shining in you, through you and around you?
When we embrace ideas that contradict the light of God’s Word, we become more like the world that knows no light (darkness = ignorance) and the Jesus in you gets shelved to the back corner in the basement of your heart until He is completely forgotten; or worse, thrown out of your life completely. When we forget our Savior, when we forget our Lord Jesus by our own choice, we then allow something else to become greater within us, and if it is not Jesus, then you’ve got to ask yourself, “Who has taken His place within our hearts?”
If Jesus is not on the throne-room of your heart, who is seated there instead? It is possible to hold an idol to be greater than our God which opens doors to demonization and other problems and that is why we must hold fast to the Truth and not allow room for deception or anything to replace the greatness of our God in our lives.
2 Thessalonians 2:13
[ Stand Fast ] But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you by the Spirit and belief in the truth for salvation through sanctification ,20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.
2 Corinthians 10:5
casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
So Today, focus on what is the Greater that is inside of you?
If you have shelved Jesus in a far place from your heart or have completely abandoned Him in your life, then repent and seek God’s forgiveness for it and reconcile your heart back to His love for you today. Jesus loves you even when you don’t love Him in return. Jesus believes in you even when you have stopped believing in Him. Jesus has faith in you even when you have denied Him. Jesus wants an intimate relationship with you, even when you have divorced your heart from Him. Jesus still wants you even when you think He doesn’t because “He will never leave you nor forsake you” even when you have forsaken Him (Hebrews 13:5). Allow Him to take the throne-room of your heart and let Him become Greater in your life.
“How do I make Him greater in me?” you ask?
By studying His Word (The Bible), by living out what you believe by Faith, and by demonstrating Jesus’ love for you and for other people through your actions, thoughts and deeds. It takes Faith to acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the greater One that is within you than he that is in the world. Put away the things that you once exalted before God and seek the things of the Kingdom of God to reside in you. You can do this by renouncing those things that you once made greater in your life than the Christ in you the hope of Glory. God is an awesome God and He is the Greater that should reside inside you when you worship Him daily and make Him a priority in your life. Food for thought.
I have two songs here by 21:03 called Cold World and Done. Totally love these songs. May they minister to you today.
God bless you everybody!

The Curse is Broken
I was thinking about what to write up today and decided to touch on breaking of curses.
The Blood of Jesus that was shed for you and me at the cross breaks every curse that is in existence in your life if you just believe.
It says in the Word that:
Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
Isn’t it amazing! Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ took all of our shame, took all of our sins from our fore fathers and generations passed, and bore all of them on His body, shed by His precious and innocent blood so that we could all be HEALED and DELIVERED and be SET FREE from the CURSE of the Law that had kept all of us bound. Glory be to GOD!
I believe that the Lord wants every person to know that there is no sin too great or too small that hasn’t been covered by the blood of Jesus.
Through Jesus we are forgiven because Jesus forgives ALL sin. He became cursed for us so that we no longer have to remain cursed. Jesus’ blood covers all sin, all generational curses, and all of our iniquities that has passed on from generation to generation, so that we can all be free in Christ our redeemer. Praise be to GOD!
Galatians 3:13
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” ),
Every generational curse can be broken through a process of deliverance that is initiated by first identifying the sin, confessing the sin, then repenting of the sin and then renouncing the sin and then giving the Lord praise when receiving the Lords forgiveness and freedom of guilt from the sin.
It is only through the powerful name and blood of Jesus that can break a curse operating in our lives.
Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.’
Jesus Christ is Lord, so it is important that when you go through your daily lives and you find yourself struggling with habitual tendencies, or recurring patterns of behavior, or areas of sin that you have had trouble trying to break free from on your own (even after confessing it), this is when you must call on the name of JESUS and bring the issue to the forefront before the Lord and seek His face to help you break free from the sin. You cannot break free on your own without the Lords help so submit to the bondage-breaking power of Jesus and He will set you free.
You must have FAITH and BELIEVE in the power of Jesus for your healing and deliverance. <—- this is very important.
It is only through your faith that you can become whole.
John 8:36
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
In many cases, when dealing with a curse operating in your life, deliverance maybe required to handle the issue and in such cases I strongly suggest that when you identify that this is what you need to break free from it, then you should seek mature and seasoned Christians to pray with you as well.
Sometimes, certain struggles require a lot of intercessory prayer to back you up, but that doesn’t mean you stop praying for yourself to get healed and delivered just because others are praying for you. It is very important to pray everyday so pray without ceasing and giving up and when you need help, don’t be afraid to ask for others to pray with you in agreement with whatever it is that you need covering for. There is more power in prayer when others come together with you and pray with you in agreement.
Intercessors that flow in the gifts of the healing & deliverance ministry can help you with high level curses and can instruct you through the process of your deliverance if that is what you need. Discernment is so required in this area and also consider that you may be required to fast in cases where you are dealing with strongholds that need to be broken over your life. The process of deliverance varies on a case by case basis so don’t be discouraged if your deliverance from a curse takes a little longer than others. The point is to never give up and keep your faith fixed on Jesus the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2) for your healing and deliverance and for your breakthrough.
I would definitely recommend reading the book by Rebecca Brown called Unbroken Curses as a starter book to get some background knowledge in order to pray effectively in your prayer life in this area and I would also recommend Cindy Trimm’s book called Rules of Engagement as well if you need some resources to help you in the process of identifying the areas that you may need to pray over in your life to break the curses that you find are operating in your life or in your family’s lives.
Remember, it is only through the powerful name of Jesus that you can be set free from whatever struggle you face. Jesus defeated every curse on the cross through His blood. Never forget what Jesus did for you when you pray. Always remember the name of the Lord, Amen!
God is in the healing & deliverance business, AMEN!
“[A Calm Resolve to Wait for the Salvation of God] To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.” Psalm 62:1NKJV
Micah 7:18-19 (NIV)
18 Who is a God like you,
who pardons sin and forgives the transgression
of the remnant of his inheritance?
You do not stay angry forever
but delight to show mercy.
19 You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.
I believe that there are so many people out there struggling to break curses in their lives and feel that there is no way out of their situation. God is saying, I AM THE WAY OUT because He is Jehovah Rophe (I AM HEALER; “The Lord who Heals“). Look to Jesus as the answer to your problem for He indeed is the Way the Truth and the Life (John 14:6) and He is the curse and bondage breaker, Amen! Pray continuously and never give up, because God is able to break every curse in your life, AMEN!
Counting the Cost of Discipleship – Evangelism in Today’s World
Happy TGIF Everybody!
Today, I was really contemplating for the past few days about the price of Discipleship. I personally realize within myself that as Christians, we have to learn to be more transparent about how we feel about the Lord. Transparency is an issue that not many people want to deal with because we know that it is not easy when we face criticism and pointing of fingers and also the threat of being persecuted for what you believe is a deterrent for others wanting to be transparent. However, with what I’ve been praying for, the Holy Spirit has being harping a lot to me about the need for Christians to be Transparent.
I asked myself how transparent am I?
Am I a “transparent Christian” or am I “Opaque”?
I find that with the things I’ve been able to share here, such as my personal stories about abuse and spiritual attacks I’ve encountered in my life in relation to witchcraft and the testimony of how I got saved, I can say that it took me a while to come out with these stories. It isn’t always so easy to testify. For me, the problem isn’t the story…I always feel the need to assess the timing and the type of audience that I can share my stories with. Some stories are a little far-fetched to some who are immature or are just babes in Christ and will take what I say the wrong way…and some stories are heavy and traumatic that it may take time for me to share with others, but with having blogged over time revealing a little bit more about myself here and there as I go along, I find that it is getting easier and easier with time.
I think that building upon transparency takes time as one conquers levels of fear each step at a time as one builds their faith is what I think the main issue is. I still struggle with areas of fear, but I have no problem admitting it. God has been helping me overcome with time and is building a boldness in me to speak the truth and tell it like it is on here and with people I encounter in my daily lives, so don’t be discouraged if you feel shy or are still uncomfortable about sharing your stories of faith with others. The whole point is to pursue building on that transparency in some way and if you don’t know how, seek help from more seasoned Christians and also do not forget to seek God to help you build courage and you will become bold when you take steps of faith.
Other questions that I have been contemplating about for the past week are:
Why are some Christians “closet Christians” while some others are seemingly more outspoken about their faith than others?
I can think of a few factors as to why this is so, but I think it boils down to two main things, it’s either Fear or Unbelief.
There are some Christians who are introverted and don’t know how to effectively communicate their faith because of Fear … or because they are simply shy and that is their personality type, Others who are extrovert seemingly have no problem and go all out which is awesome. This doesn’t mean that introverted persons have no means of sharing their faith, there are just so many ways we can do that if you really think about it, no need to over-complicate it just use what you already know how to do and maximize on using your gifts to do the job. I write pretty well, and I’m a pretty good story teller…I use this gifting in conversations and in my writing. That’s what I know how to do best and that is what I maximize on. Don’t put God in a box, use what you’ve got to give Him glory.
We also get those who claim they are “Christians” in name only, but seriously operate like they don’t believe in what they purport to believe. Their demonstration doesn’t match the character which can be confusing to the outsider looking in because to many that’s just a form a hypocrisy. We cannot be all about the information without the demonstration to back what we hopefully live. Evangelism is effective when we are honest and don’t come out as fakesters. It is important to be real at all times…people are moved by what is sincere rather than sugar-coated. It’s okay to discuss your weaknesses with non-believers because it just shows them that you are not superhuman just because you are Christian. We are fragile beings that need our Savior. That’s how we become like salt to the earth, we add flavor by preserving and maintaining that which is true, Amen!
I know that I struggle with fear, but that’s when we need encouragement from others to help us develop courage and boldness to do things that we normally wouldn’t do. You learn new things that way when you step outside your comfort zone. Let me tell you it isn’t always pleasant to step out of your comfort zone, but the rewards of what you learn in doing so far outweigh the discomfort. There are many instances that I’m bold in certain situations and then on the odd occasion I just freeze up because of Fear. It happens and it is still an issue I’m dealing with, *surprise surprise*, so fear not, you are not alone in this arena lol
.
For those operating in a state of “I’m a Christian in name only but don’t really practice the faith” , you are living a compromised lifestyle that will lead you down the road further into the realm of developing a seared conscience. Don’t kid yourself. You have got to ask yourself why is it you lack faith period? Why continue to say you are Christian when you don’t believe in it anyway? As disciples of Christ, we have to consider that Faith is a demonstration of what you live and believe rather than what you say you believe without the actions to back it. It is an ongoing journey and no one is perfect…however, testimonies are derived by imperfections and prove that we need GOD, Amen!
I believe that there are many forms of evangelism that cater to different character and personality types. There was an article I read concerning introvert evangelism by RELEVANT magazine. Here is the link to the article:
http://www.relevantmagazine.com/god/practical-faith/introverted-evangelism
I believe that we shouldn’t put people in a box and neither should we put God in a box either. We are all created differently with various giftings. We all evangelize differently and for some they thrive in the writing department which is something I’m good at, some thrive in volunteerism, singing, dancing, some are very good at just being listeners, readers, teachers, etc etc. The point is, there are various methods to evangelize your faith which cater to any personality type which include the introverted Christian. Some know how to be very outspoken than others, while others are more shy. I’m shy in some instances and then there are times when I’m just bold and daring. I think some people trap themselves in a situation of guilt when they believe that there is only one method of evangelism that is effective and that’s by outreach street evangelism. Like I said before in my other post, this method did not appeal to me at all when I started out, but it is effective in its own way; however, I think of it as just one form of evangelism, but there are so many avenues in today’s world to reach the lost.
Use the gift you know how to use is my advice. People thrive at what they are good at and I believe you’ll be successful in your approach when you realize that whatever you do well at is the area you can use to evangelize the message of hope.
Instead of tracts you can use different items that people will like…such as pens, bookmarks bracelets, pins, free t-shirts, business cards, iPhone covers, just as an example. Youth like cool stuff and people love freebies, I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t…sometimes it’s just as simple as buying someone coffee and talking about your faith. I have found these methods to be more effective in my walk. There are so many ways to reach someone…you don’t always have to use the archaic methods to do it, although I’m not suggesting that people stop street evangelism or anything. I’m just saying that if you find these traditional methods aren’t your type of thing…then use modern methods to grab peoples attention. It’s just that simple really, no need to be complicated.
My personality type is good at writing about what I believe, hence the blog. I also like volunteering my time to different social events. I’m also good at talking to people and listening to their problems, although I at some points prefer to have my own peace since sometimes people off load too much information that it becomes difficult to process, but then again, God wants us to stretch outside of our comfort zone, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you stop being you, Amen!
I have here a video concerning the cost of discipleship. At the end of the day, there will come a point where we will have to take a stand on what we believe. No matter how uncomfortable it makes us, God wants to use those who are willing to overcome their Fears in order to stand on what they believe as Truth. Unbelief is something we must fight against and fear is not of God so we must pursue to operate with a spirit of courage and God will show you how you can effectively evangelize using the gifts you already have within the palm of your hand.
Don’t stress out if one form of evangelism isn’t for you…use what you know how to use and use that well. My last question that I will leave here for all of us to think about before watching this video is:
How far are you willing to go to be God’s Disciple?
God bless you everybody and have an amazing weekend!
How Far is too Far?
Hi Everybody,
It’s nearly the weekend!!! Praise God!!
Today is rather a short contemplation…hmmmm…maybe more of a question. I was thinking about how people do certain things that trail along the lines of compromise.
I think that some people first ask themselves…. “How far can I go?” , before asking the first question I posed which is “How Far is too Far?”. I think to a large extent, we don’t seem to know how subtle compromise is in changing our minds about common moral standards which are GODLY STANDARDS that should be upheld in our conduct through our words, thoughts, actions and deeds. When we fail to uphold Godly standards by compromising with the truth, we open doors to start believing in a lie(s).
Think about it…it’s like starting off by telling a “small ‘white’ lie” to yourself or another until you have to back it up with many “‘black’ lies” (seriously, do lies even have a colour?) to remain convincing, hoping that there is a shade of gray in this whole mess and then hopefully after having done that…you sell off this blatant lie as truth that it becomes soo customized that you yourself begin to believe in the very lie that you have contrived and put together on your own. This is called SELF-DECEPTION. I find this type of thing to be a scary activity that I have seen others participate in it on a regular basis.
Choosing to remain in denial of the truth is choosing to live a lie and believe it too.
This is how people develop a SEARED CONSCIENCE.
The attitudes of those I have witnessed to have such a seared conscience are rather cold and calculating…that the mere presence of them wreaks of evil.
Like I said in an earlier post…I’ve seen a lot of evil in my day… and what I can tell you is that having seen a person acting on a seared conscience….you can tell when what governs their hearts, their minds and their spirit is utter darkness throughout their conduct.
As Christians, we must be vigilant to keep our conscience clear.
Daily repentance shields us from believing that “gray areas” exist in regarding what is RIGHT and WRONG when the Bible is clear in its guidelines.
King David knew how to keep his conscience clear even though there were many instances where he was tempted to stray from the path of righteousness before God. King David acknowledged his weaknesses and refused to be in denial of his sinful actions especially after being reprimanded by Prophet Nathan over his sin of Adultery with Uriah’s wife Bethsheba. God loved David enough to warn him of his crime through a Prophet to give him a chance to change his ways. David took that chance and repented for his actions even though he reaped some of the things that he had sown because he wanted to keep remaining in right standing before God.
How many of us want to keep remaining in Right Standing with the Lord?
When we sin…we don’t offend the Bible…we offend GOD. However, not many people see it this way, even those that lack the reverential Fear of God will not even blink twice when they run quickly to do evil. This is totally my opinion, you can agree or disagree with it because you are entitled to your own opinion. This is just what I believe to be true.
My dear friends, we must not be deceived of the subtleties of compromise. We must remain vigiliant and stand up for the truth for what it is, even if the truth is unpopular to someone else or even if the truth in its own way offends ourselves. We have to stand for what is right at the end of the day. We cannot afford to sear our conscience….If we do….we will end up like King Saul who didn’t think twice to run quickly to evil. He even went as far as seeking advice from the adversary through the use of a medium rather than seeking God for answers towards what is true which indicates the repercussions for those that pursue a lifestyle that is perpetuated by believing in a lie; one quickly runs to evil for answers, seeking ‘a truth’ from an evil source which is falsehood; a lie; and an idea that is contrary to the truth. When we sear our conscience…we not only start believing in a lie…but we ultimately start seeking how to live and perpetuate that lie to satisfy the desires of the flesh. King Saul’s life ended tragically as his soul was darkened by hatred and blood lust fueled by his arrogance and Pride that even God rejected him from being king of Israel and had replaced him with a humble-spirited young shepherd, little David, who maintained a lifestyle always in pursuit of Holiness while struggling with his weaknesses. David pleased God more than Saul ever did.
God abides with us in the Truth. Lies separate us from the Truth and inevitably we get separated from God if we choose to believe in a lie and nurture a contrary spirit that resists the truth and the workings of the HOLY SPIRIT, so heed this warning seriously.
Humility is key… so for those that are thinking “How far can I go?” and “How far is too far?”, I suggest that you stop thinking in this way…and start thinking “What is the right thing for me to do?”. When you contemplate on what is right…you pursue the truth and that is how we remain in right standing. Compromise subtly leads us astray, but when you remember this question: “What is the right thing for me to do?” you will be brought back on the right path that leaves no room for gray areas. Pursue the truth with much fear and trembling everybody and leave no room for self-deception to creep in, AMEN!
God bless you everybody!

Peculiar isn’t always Popular
Hi Everybody!
It’s already mid-week and it’s amazing how time is flying by so fast. Before you know it, it’ll be Christmas! :O Has anybody started their early Christmas shopping???? I know I haven’t lol.
So today’s post is centered on how being a peculiar person isn’t always popular. When I look at the types of persecution that’s going around for being a Christian, I think that the level of persecution that is starting to rise is trying to send us a message that it isn’t popular to be a “Christian” at this time which is probably why some people will leave the faith. It’s kind of an oxymoron in a way because the rise in persecution is actually raising a few eye-brows as to why Christians are being so attacked in this decade. Each year, the death toll of martyrs is rising just because people believe in the One True God. In fact, just a couple of days ago, I even got a hate message from a Satanist via twitter which said: “Satan hates you too B****”. I felt sorry for the Satanist….thinking… you may hate all you want, but God will always love you.
The walk of being a Christian isn’t so simple as many people think it is and yet we are the Jesus Freaks in this day and age. The message of the Truth is not always well recieved and yet it still needs to be preached, televised, tweeted, facebooked, blogged, texted, spoken about and written about. We have so many avenues to preach the gospel of truth and as we head into that place where I believe that there will be a greater dispensation of God’s Spirit outpoured to His chosen people who are the remnant, we will see a shift in peoples attitude. I liken this season to the time where Elijah challenged the god of Baal with the One True God. God answers by Fire…and the fire that we have yet to see is the greater dispensation of God’s Spirit poured out on mankind where revivals are going to take place. In fact…I believe that revivals have already started to manifest themselves and we as Christians need to buck up and get ready for whatever God plans for us to do. I say all of this with much fear and trembling. We are popularly unpopular to the World and yet in Heaven, there is a constant party going on for each individual that gets saved. The turn around will be amazing and I think that even writing this message may not even be something people want to read, but it needs to be said.
Jesus is the only way to get to Heaven because He died and shed His innocent blood for all of humanity’s sins.
We should not turn a blind eye to the only God that came down as a man to die for His own creation just so that there could be a renewal of relationship between man and God because God so loved the World that He sent His begotten Son, that whoseoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
The deception that I believe is veiling the truth about the existence of Jesus and the existence of the one true God is that people don’t believe that Hell exists. It’s one thing for people to believe that God doesn’t exist…but the reason why people don’t believe God exists is because they don’t believe in the reality of the Devil’s existence and the reality of Hell’s existence. Hell was never meant for us, it was meant for the fallen angels and Satan, but because of Sin…the consequence of all of us reaching that place is definite if we choose not to repent and believe that Jesus paid the price for us to enter back into Heaven. People, there is no other God out there who is like Jesus that will sacrifice their own so-called deity to come to earth as a man and literally experience torture for the sake of humanity just because their love is that great for mankind. Not even money can save you from Cancer or a car crash like our God can.
Many people struggle with identity crises because they don’t really know who they are and whose they are. Every person was created by God because God loves you. You are His beloved creation to whom He calls Sons and Daugthers of the Most High God. We are His Children in God’s eyes. Please tell me of a God that refers to us humans as God’s Children????
Many hate a God that they don’t even know personally and fail to understand that even in your hate, He still loves you and is sad when you cannot see the truth of His love. Many bad things happen because people don’t understand the real war we battle…We are fighting the wrong person. Many people are fighting against the God that loves them not realizing they are being decieved by the one that Hates them the most — the Devil. The Devil is rather happy when people believe that he does not exist. It’s easier to recruit people who are God haters that way.
My message here today is that, Satan hates all of humanity including God. He will stop at nothing and use anything and anyone to make that point clear. If you don’t know which side you are on, then seriously reflect and consider that no matter how scientific or philosophical you are… what cannot be denied is that Evil does exist…and it definitely has a source, and that source is called Satan whether you choose to believe that or not. If evil exists, then good exists; and if good exists… than God exists because our God is a good God that sent His Son Jesus to defeat the works and the powers of Evil by offering humanity a choice to choose eternal life in Heaven over eternal damnation in Hell.
As a Christian…I choose the unpopular route because…I have seen a lot of evil in my day that I know for sure and for certain that the Devil is real and that my God is Real and I choose to serve my God through Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
There is coming a point where there will be a great schism in the last days…and for all those fence-sitters reading this message…do not assume for one second that you have all the time in the world to decide which way you’ll swing because the time is getting shorter and shorter each day you dilly-dally with your decision. The time is now to choose! This is what I’m feeling in my spirit right now as I woke up today and I cannot stress the message of Salvation any stronger than that. So today… consider where you are and where you stand. I can tell you to choose Jesus like every other Christian…however, I want to make one thing clear, Hell does exist whether you choose to believe that or not regardless of what you choose. If you can at least believe that, then that will be enough for you to decide. I think that my message sounds a little strong…but I’m sorry, I cannot afford to water this message down just so that you can sleep well at night. I have seen people’s lives snuffed out and lives destroyed all because of ignorance and unbelief. Satan is in the business of attacking peoples faith…so stay strong in the good fight of faith because being Peculiar these days is not very popular. We are at a stage where Satan is even causing Christians to deny their faith to embrace a lie, that it is better to preserve your life and deny Christ as Savior rather than choosing to die for the Truth because it is TRUE.

I admit…persecution isn’t attractive since I’ve experienced some level of it in my life and it is understandable why people would choose to deny Christ with the level of violence that is being propagated lately by those who hate Christians and the God that they serve, particularly in countries where it seems that there is a move to outlaw prayer and reading of Bibles…but I also believe that living a lie isn’t quite really living now is it when you consider the eternal ramifications towards your soul. Food for thought.
I would totally recommend reading my post called In Pursuit of Holiness – The Divine Revelation of Heaven and Hell to get the full picture of its reality. May it help you make the decision to choose to be a peculiar person which I know first hand is the unpopular choice but the only choice that will ensure that you spend eternity with a loving God who is waiting to receive you, His child in Heaven. I encourage others to re-blog or email or tweet or pass this message to family members if they need to hear this message. The message of salvation and the Gospel of Truth must be preached because that is the mandate of the unpopularly Peculiar.
God Bless you Everybody!

A Lifestyle of Worship
Hi Everybody!
I hope you all are having a wonderful week! Monday has just passed and we’re now onto Tuesday depending on what time zone you’re in. Today, I was thinking that as a worshipper we must consider what it means to worship God in all that we do. I think to some extent we only make the time to worship God as a Sunday affair and miss out on worshipping Him every single day.
Living a life of worship means praying, thanking, praising, exalting, remembering, believing and trusting that God is always with you every step of the way in whatever you do. Some people shelve Him after Sunday Service is done….but we need to learn that we must worship and love God with all of our hearts and our minds and our Souls. We can’t compartamentalize the Lord in the far corners of our minds and think that we have all the time to get to that place where we will make the time when each second of each day is literally a gift from God. So when you wake up in the morning, praise the Lord that you are alive to see another day.
When you go throughout your day, bless the Lord by giving thanks for all the good things that occur in your day. Every good occurance in your life is from God to begin with…nothing is left to “chance” and nothing is a “coincidence” because your life is predetermined by the choices that you make. When you bless God more, you’ll see more blessings enter into your life and right before you lay your head to sleep, remember to give the Lord praise for He is the author and finisher of your day and will give you peace to deal with the next one. Tomorrow is never promised, today is a gift and yesterday is gone so start now and live a life of worship unto God and remember that God is not a Sunday appointment, He is your daily bread so worship Him everyday with every chance that you’ve got because each second is a blessing from on high.
Have a Blessed week everbody and know that God loves you!

What is Important Right Now?
Hi Everybody!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!
I was sitting in my chair thinking of what to write today since a few things have happened to me this week that I haven’t really gotten off my chest about and I decided that I’ll just talk about what I’ve encountered this week. I’ve encountered both constructive and destructive criticism, I’ve encountered opportunities to minister to some people and did, I fell sick during the week and yet had things I needed to accomplish which made things rather challenging since I was in the midst of getting some projects done at work, I also encountered some individuals this week who were definitely self-serving and inconsiderate that it made me think “what is wrong with people these days?!”. In fact, I think you could say I was pretty frustrated and angry at the nonsense that kept poppin’ in my week that I even went and talked to my mum about it and she was calm and collected which is so like her. I love the fact that she doesn’t allow things to get to her so easily unlike me who does, and she knows me very well to be an emotional person so she let me rant and rave as much as I wanted until I cooled down which I’m still trying to work on, but have a ways to go on that front so I decided that I needed to pray about my attitude since I still did not feel at peace even after all that blowing off of steam. I even ranted to my twin who is just like my cool-headed mom which didn’t make much of a difference towards my attitude. I had a lot say to God that I just felt like venting to the Lord about my days this week until I found myself asking….”What in the world am I doing here? What is the point????!!!”.
Sometimes I feel like flying off somewhere far far away and never coming back to escape the dramarama of my life when I feel like I’ve had enough, but I know intuitively that that is just me formulating ways and means of escapism from reality. Sometimes I think that when you’ve moved around as much as I have you develop a way of thinking that if you move or leave to go somewhere far away you’ll escape the problem that you left behind you when you leave the country. However, the reality is that you aren’t really escaping the problem…you’re traveling with it to the next destination which is something I have learned after living in one country for more than three years. I have never stayed in a country for more than four years until now since I’m settled in Canada for the past 11 years and I can tell you that I still feel tempted to leave and move on to the next best thing when I feel like I can’t take it anymore. That feeling occurs to me when I’m feeling uncomfortable or when I feel like I’m being tied to a place for too long…. this urgency to run away before people ground me or make me commit to things that will keep me in one place for too long makes me feel like I’m suffocating when I prefer having the freedom to do what I want when I want…but of course there comes a point where a person needs boundaries which I believe I do have…but at the same time, these boundaries become rather murky when I struggle with anxiety.
Escapism….a dangerous place to be when you have options. It’s also a dangerous place to be when you don’t have options. I probably am not making any sense right now which is ok…just keep reading
.
Ok, to some people who have been following this blog, you may be thinking…Sherline this is soo unlike you….get your act together woman! I know!!! I know already!!!….I should! but I was very irritated this week that I myself had to call into question my own actions…Why am I being so reactionary when all this while I’ve been teaching about responding appropriately to situations? My very words were being tested by the Lord which is something that happens to me a lot, Ugh! *I’m cringing at this failed test* lol
Well, all I can say is the jokes on me lol
.
I’m actually laughing about this as I write because I think my behaviour has been an entire joke for the whole week. I find myself asking myself how is it possible that I managed to stay upset for an entire 5 days in a row allowing little things to get to me so easily? That’s when I decided that I needed to pray to God about this…because something was definitely wrong with me since there were areas where I know I normally would have exhibited some level of self-control were now the areas that now bothered me with incredible intensity that I just felt like blowing my top off even though I managed to restrain myself from doing so to some extent, but that’s not the point! The point is is that even if I didn’t say anything, my thoughts were not pure because angry thoughts ended up filling my mind and ended up being my meditations throughout the week even though I know that it’s ungodly to let the sun go down in your anger. My anger issue kind of took me off guard as I struggled to resolve the issue by ignoring it and by trying to minimize the things that were already irritating me. It was clear to me that this was a spiritual issue that I needed to tackle with the help of the Holy Spirit. That’s when I decided that enough is enough…I needed to pray about this and so I did in the middle of the night. As I vented my frustrations to the Lord, the Holy Spirit listened to me blah blah blahing away saying my two cents about how I reacted to so and so and what the outcome was after the incidents that occurred throughout the week, and the only thing He asked me at the end of this ranting and raving is “What is important right now?”.
What type of question is that?! I wondered. I sat there feeling puzzled and confused, feeling like the Holy Spirit was playing games with me and had obviously ignored my side of the story, oh so I thought initially. I sat silently thinking about it for a while knowing that I can’t outsmart Him…and began to contemplate the question feeling slightly apathetic. I then realized that the important thing for me right now was to seriously analyze why I was so upset in the first place. I soon came to understand that I didn’t want to admit that my reactions to everything that upset me during the week where all symptomatic to a root issue which the Holy Spirit pointed out to me was an issue of PRIDE. Yes, you read that right…I was dealing with an issue of PRIDE. The very thing I’ve tried to avoid like the plague was the very thing that I found myself caught up in and entangled myself in its very dangerous web.
The Holy Spirit began to reveal to me how very subtle it was in its approach by showing me how in my anger I was reacting towards things that would not typically bother me, for the wrong reasons. I felt entitled to preserve myself from people’s bad behaviour and reacted in offense rather than respond with peace. I then ended up fuming silently which isn’t a good thing for me to do because when I fume I find myself unsuspectingly waiting to blow my top off at someone which is something I truly need to work on right now. I find that I tend to all of a sudden remember a lot of bad memories that flood my mind like a tsunami which I realize that such things begin when I’m triggered by someones words to react all self-defensively. I’ve encountered a lot in my day that I now know I have many walls that I have placed up against people as a means of shielding myself from being hurt again. This is something that the Holy Spirit is prodding and poking at right now which is kind of annoying because I know that the Holy Spirit is able to discern what hurts me the most and never seems to let me off that easily which is something I thank God for because the Holy Spirit is my best friend. He won’t white wash the truth…He just tells it like it is and now I have homework…dealing with my anger is my homework.
I’m not one to share stuff like this publicly because I don’t like wearing my heart on my sleeve…but I figured that it’s best to do so on this blog since I’m sure that there are people out there who have things they need to deal with in regards to their emotions that the Holy Spirit wants to help heal, especially those places that hurt. The Holy Spirit wants people to focus on the areas of their emotions that they have not yet surrendered completely to the Holy Spirit in order for Him to do His work. At this moment, I pray that the Holy Spirit helps me and other people reading this message to deal with the things that trigger such negative emotions to erupt in the first place. I have a history…but going back to the Holy Spirit’s question….ask yourself this question when you are dealing with something: “What is important right now?”
Is the reason why you are being emotional that important?
Do you even know why you are upset?
Sometimes you can be depressed and may not even know the reason why you are to begin with….but for every negative emotion that you encounter in your day…. ask yourself “What is important right now?” and seriously consider that you’ll find the root cause of your emotions and will be able to deal with them better when you confront the issue in sincerity and confess it before God honestly so that you allow room for the Holy Spirit to help you deal with these issues. Right now, even confessing on a blog feels kind of painful for me to do right now even though I’m laughing, because admitting the truth is never easy…but that’s the starting point to ones deliverance. I can tell you that I feel like hyperventilating as I type this…but I also feel in my spirit that it’s like what my Grandparents used to say to me when I wouldn’t fess up to my mistakes in the past that “It’s better to tell the truth and shame the devil” otherwise all the shame will be left on you. Telling the truth exposes what was left in the dark to come to light so that you are accountable to your actions rather than remaining in the shadows of being in denial of your responsibilities to accept the repercussions of your actions.
Live the Truth out with much Fear and Trembling.
After having written this post, I truthfully feel such a release in my spirit right now from all the anger I had been harboring all this time this past week that I can honestly say that joy is actually filling my spirit at this moment as I conclude the post. I praise God for giving me the courage to be real with myself here on Wpress even when I don’t want to be. God works in mysterious ways.
Know that God wants to set you free, no matter what emotions or feelings you struggle with. I believe in my best friend the Holy Spirit.
Do you believe?
God Bless You Everybody and have an awesome WEEKEND!

The Plumb Line – Walking in Right Standing
Hi Everybody!
I was reading a book the other day by Perry Stone called Purging Your House and Pruning Your Family Tree and came across a verse of scripture that hit me. It was Psalm 127:1.
Psalm 127:1
[ Laboring and Prospering with the LORD ] A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.
The reason that this piece of scripture hit me was because I understand that whatever we do in our lives, if it’s not following God’s plan…we do things in vain. Many people run with “good” ideas…but not many people run with “God” ideas. This should go without saying; however, it still needs to be said. I have seen areas in my own life where I ran with “good” ideas but they weren’t necessarily “God ideas”. When we realize that to some extent our ”good” ideas run on a basis of futility, it is then that we should stop and recognize that we are falling short somewhere. We are running our lives by might and power and are not operating by the Spirit of God. When I realized how much I tried to do things with much effort my way and saw no results… I began to recognize that I was labouring in vain. Doing things in vain is also a sign of operating in insanity; I don’t mean the clinical kind, but what I mean to say is that we start operating in the same manner, doing the same thing over and over again expecting to yield a different result. If we operated by the Spirit, we would be doing things much differently and would achieve different results. God keeps showing me this lesson over and over in different areas of my life and that is why we need to learn to Cooperate with the HOLY SPIRIT in our lives rather than rebel against Him.
God’s ways are foolishness to us but our ways are foolishness to God.
Isaiah 55:8
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.
It’s amazing how some churches do their own thing even when given God-inspired direction to not pursue a course of action that could potentially compromise the integrity of the building.
What building am I speaking about?…Certainly not a brick-layered one in stone… I’m talking about PEOPLE who are the Church (the Ekklesia- the called out ones). The church is always a people and not some cement-built-brick-layered building. When churches run through legalism and not by the Spirit of God because they do not believe in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit… they end up building a church by man-made hands which is through might and power even though it says in the Word that we cannot work through might and power but by the Spirit of God.
Zechariah 4:6
So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.
Only God can lay down the foundation of how He wants His Church to be built because He is our Master-builder and the Chief Cornerstone.
Acts 4:11
This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,
“Behold, I lay in Zion
A chief cornerstone, elect, precious,
And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”[a]7 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient,[b]
“The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone,”[c]8 and“A stone of stumbling
And a rock of offense.”[d]They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.
It is important to understand what’s going on here. In the Word, it says that those who believe in Him shall not be put to shame (1 Peter 2:6). Those that act in disobedience become a stumbling block of offense (1 Peter 2: 8); and to whom do they offend? Is it the people? No…they become offensive to God. When I think about this I look inside my own life and consider that there are times I have offended God by doing things “My Way” and not “His Way” which has caused me to repent countless times. I will not claim to be a saint and say I’m always obedient to God’s Word when I know for sure that that isn’t the case. That’s just self-deception right there.
How many of us have tried to build things with our own limited levels of understanding and have not followed God’s ways of doing something? We end up labouring in vain hoping that what we do will work out somehow, but have not realized that we have in a way already stepped outside of God’s will for us by yielding to our own will. This idea of stepping out of God’s will is also known as SIN. Sin is defined as “missing the mark“. When we work at trying to establish our own will that goes against God’s will for our lives, we ‘miss the mark’ through our conduct. I don’t think that God desires us all to miss the mark. He wants us to always hit the target and that is why we must rely on the divine plumb line in our lives to walk steadfastly.
You must be wondering what is a Plumb line?
A plumb line is a simple measuring tool used to determine whether or not something is perfectly vertical—upright. Usually used in construction of a building or a tall structure to ensure that the building is standing on level ground. So consider that if you were a building and if you were not standing on level ground, such a building will surely tip over and be destroyed. That is why it is important to have a building built on level ground as it’s FOUNDATION in order to stand uprightly at all times. We must always stand uprightly or strive to do so in our walk with the Lord. This is how we remain in Right-standing with the Lord.
The question is, are we standing on level ground? What foundation are you standing on?
Jesus is the plumb line in our lives (Zechariah 4:10) and the Bible is our Foundation on which we stand.
God’s measure is always just, but if we try to work things out by our own limited abilities and refuse to yield to the wisdom of the Lord, we will always walk in an unjust measure and therefore, we cannot operate nor walk uprightly. Such a person ends being a stumbling block of offence. We cannot afford to be this way.
So today, focus on what it means to walk in Right-standing in the Lord. Search deep within yourself and consider the areas you have not submitted to the direction of the Holy Spirit. We all have weaknesses, but we all overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, Amen!

I have here another song, actually two songs to bless your day. The First one from Myron Butler called Not My Own and New Life Worship called Wonderful, Beautiful, Glorious. May these songs bless your spirit today everybody!
Dangerous Youth Activities
Hi Everybody!
Well, as some of you know I’ve been reading a lot of books lately concerning healing and deliverance so today’s post is more in respect to gathering information to keep Parents in particular well-informed about the crazy trends that youth are facing today. Some of these activities you may be aware of already and some of them are completely news to me. All of these activities listed below are from ivillage.com if you want to read up on them yourself.
I did a post earlier this year about the story of a 16 year old ex- cutter that is a trend that teens are becoming more adepted at concealing. All I can say is that when it comes to healing and deliverance ministry and intercession as a whole, the most important thing for all of us to do when counseling someone is first get educated about the trends that are out there and then assess the types of activities or behaviours that someone has been engaging with in order to pray strategically, and/or direct the person to proper resources for professional help. You can only do this by gathering information and educating yourself about these strange activities that are evolving as technology keeps advancing and as teens and children experiment with new crazy ideas that soon become fads.
Disclaimer: This post is in no way an exhaustive list because there are probably new fads popping up everyday that we may not even be aware of, but we’ve got to start somewhere and become more educated with the stuff that’s bombarding children today. The information gathered here is written by Brooke Showell posted in ivillage.com so all the credit goes to her in this guest post.
May this information provided here help parents to become more vigilant in protecting their kids and teaching them the dangers of engaging in these kinds of activities.
Knowledge is power and wisdom preserves LIFE.
God bless you everybody and may you grow wiser in your own daily affairs as well as you become informed of the changing trends and fads that are costing people’s lives.
Ecclesiastes 7:12
For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense, But the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.
Here are a list of 20 Activities that you should be aware of if you aren’t already.
Teens Drinking Hand Sanitizer -
Many germaphobes are addicted to hand sanitizer every time they shake hands, sneeze or touch a subway pole, but some teens looking for a cheap high are using it in a highly disturbing new way. Kids are actually getting drunk off the over-the-counter cleanser, according to the Los Angeles Times — most formulas contain 62 percent ethyl alcohol, and using salt to separate the alcohol from the sanitizer yields a potent 120-proof shot. After a few drinks, a person might be so drunk that medical intervention is necessary, as was the case with six teenagers with alcohol poisoning who checked into the emergency room at two hospitals in San Fernando Valley, CA. Although it’s currently a small problem, health officials worry the behavior might indicate a more widespread, dangerous trend, as teens have been known to use other household items like mouthwash or cough syrup to produce a buzz. If parents buy hand sanitizer, experts advise using the foam version (versus the gel type) because it’s harder to extract the alcohol.
Car Surfing -
Car Surfing is back in the news again after a 16-year-old Florida girl suffered a massive brain injury while attempting it, according to TODAY. Teenage Hannah Huntoon was trying to ride on the trunk of a friend’s car while holding onto the rear-window windshield wiper and fell off. In other incidents of the dangerous and illegal trend, kids have climbed on top of the roof or trunk of a moving car like they’re surfing. Not only is the unrestrained surfer in danger, but the situation can get even more grave if the driver loses control or just follows the turns of the road. The result: A serious, potentially fatal accident.
The Choking Game -
It’s been around for years, and it’s still deadly as ever. Kids literally strangle themselves using either an object like a belt or a rope or their own hands to experience a momentary high. They can pass out and hurt themselves, cause brain damage or even death. And if all that isn’t enough to keep you up at night, a new study conducted by the Oregon Public Health Division reports that middle school kids who play the “Choking Game” (also known as Knock Out, Space Monkey, Flat-lining or the Fainting Game) are more likely to try other worrisome activities. The study showed that 6 percent of the state’s teens admitted to playing this so-called game, boys and girls seemed to participate more or less equally, and participants were more likely to be sexually active and drug abusers. What’s more, girls who copped to playing were more apt to gamble and eat poorly, while boys were more likely to be exposed to violence. The study’s lead researcher, Robert Nystrom, recommends parents be on alert for warning signs of the game, including unusual marks on the neck, red dots around the eyelids (a sign of hemorrhaging) and unexplained headaches. To learn more, parents can visit Games Adolescents Shouldn’t Play (GASP), a group that aims to raise awareness of — and put an end to — the game for good.
Planking
The trend seems harmless enough at first: “Planking” involves lying face-down on the ground in an unexpected place and then uploading a picture to Facebook or a blog to share with the world. And some of it is innocent, with teens and twenty-somethings posting pictures of themselves face-planted on tree branches and lawns. What isn’t: Kids who raise the ante with photos taken in dangerous places — on a rooftop, an escalator, or, as in the recent case of a 20-year-old who just died while planking, balanced on a terrace railing seven stories high. Australian Acton Beale is reportedly the first person to die from planking.
Vodka Eyeballing
Parents are usually concerned about their college students doing more shots than studying, but the New York Daily News recently reported on a worrisome new drinking trend of “vodka eyeballing.” Partying co-eds tilt back their heads and have a vodka shot poured onto their eye, which gives a quick buzz when the alcohol enters the bloodstream through veins at the back of the eye. This stunt seems to have come from outlandish Las Vegas nightclubs, but has made its way onto university campuses. Not only does the idea sound not-so-smart, but doctors are concerned about possible long-term damage to the sensitive eye area, like scarring and impaired vision.
Purple drank is a legal and lethal concoction of Sprite, Jolly Ranchers and codeine cough syrup. Rappers, hip-hop artists and pro athletes have made this fad cool and brought it into the mainstream. Lil’ Wayne has been photographed with his “purple” filled cup, Johnny Jolly of the Green Bay Packers was reportedly drinking it in 2009 while driving, and Jim Marcus Russell of the Oakland Raiders was arrested for possession of codeine syrup without a prescription. There’s even a style of music for “leaners” to listen to — it’s slowed down to mirror the effects of the drink, which are unresponsiveness, lethargy, hallucination and a slow-mo zombie feeling
The worst part about these herb-based, marijuana wanna bes? They’re totally legal. Thought to give a similar high to smoking pot, these products are not regulated and the smoker could be inhaling toxic or poisonous contaminants. The DEA declared an emergency effort, banning the five main ingredients used in these synthetic drugs. According to MSNBC.com, makers of the faux Mary Jane have already started finding new chemicals to avoid the ban.
The Ball Tapping Game
Remember dead leg? You would hit someone as hard as you could in his thigh and run. Well, this is similar and don’t let its childlike name fool you. The idea of the ball-tapping game is to “tap” someone in the, well, balls…hard, real hard. Gawker.com reported on a boy who had to have a testicle removed due to the intensity of a tapping game he partook in. Warn your son that even though this sounds like a test of his manliness, it could challenge his manly ability to have children someday. What ever happened to good, old-fashioned noogies, wedgies and Indian burns?

Don’t Underestimate God’s No Name Brands
Hi Everybody!
I know that this post sounds kind of weird but you’ll understand what I mean as you continue to read on. In Canada, we have a class of grocery store goods that are in seemingly plain-looking packaging with bold letters signifying the type of product they are, under the label of the “No Name” brand. In a society that loves brand names it seemed inconceivable that when the president of Loblaws supermarkets Dave Nicol introduced this brand, he had underestimated the success of the product line. The idea of the ”No Name” brand was basically copied by the french market Carrefour who had already introduced a similar line of generic products called Produits libre (french for “free products”). The reason why Dave Nicol implemented this generic goods brand line in the Loblaws market was in response to “a period of rising inflation rates and consumer complaints regarding the high price of food” (wiki.com).
Although Nichol made no guarantee that the product line would be continued beyond the initial launch, after two and a half weeks more than a million units had been sold. With suppliers trying to keep up with demand, and some products sold out, Nichol declared No Name a “runaway success”that exceeded his own expectations (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_Name_(brand))
What am I driving at with this example?
God has a class of No Name branded people that are the answer to the worlds problems. Just like Dave Nichol’s No Name brands of goods that sold beyond suppliers expectation because of high demand as an answer to high inflation prices to brand named goods, these same class of No Name people will rise up to be of equal value and high demand as well in response to the world’s outcry for a solution to many of the world’s existing problems. The No Names are people you least expect being the solution.
A perfect biblical example of a No Name individual is little David, son of Jesse in the Old Testament of the Bible.
1 Samuel 16:5-13 (NKJV)
5 And he said, “Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons, and invited them to the sacrifice.
6 So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him!”
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees;[a] for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
8 So Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, “Neither has the Lord chosen this one.” 9 Then Jesse made Shammah pass by. And he said, “Neither has the Lord chosen this one.” 10 Thus Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. And Samuel said to Jesse, “The Lord has not chosen these.” 11 And Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all the young men here?” Then he said, “There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep.”
And Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and bring him. For we will not sit down[b] till he comes here.” 12 So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!” 13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.
David had 7 brothers from his Father Jesse and Prophet Samuel couldn’t find a king amongst the known named branded brothers…because God had selected a No Name branded king who was to be the 8th son of Jesse hanging out with sheep in the pasture. It’s interesting to note that David’s brothers had to go through a process of consecration before they were presented before prophet Samuel and the sacrifice to determine who among them was the Lords appointed, and still none of them fit the bill to be chosen as king despite having been sanctified. When Prophet Samuel could see no king amongst the seven, he wanted to make sure that all the sons were present and asked Jesse to make sure that all of them were present because one of them indeed was King which was what confused Samuel when he found that none of the sons before him qualified as God’s appointed. However, there was one among the sons of Jesse, but little David was not among these sons because he was out in the field tending to his sheep. Jesse pointed this out to Prophet Samuel as if David was an after thought since he was treated as the youngest “black sheep” of the family. David’s brothers saw no worth in their brother David which is a sad mistake, because God saw his worth which was his heart.
It is important to note here that David’s brothers had all been through a process of sanctification as a processes of consecration before being presented before Prophet Samuel to determine who was to be God’s appointed king. David had not gone through that process because he was tending the sheep at the time and yet the Spirit of the Lord had determined to Prophet Samuel that David was king. The reason why David didn’t even need to go through the same process of consecration like his seven brothers did was because David already lived a life of consecration…Did you catch that?….David already lived a life of consecration and that is why it was not difficult for Prophet Samuel to determine that He was God’s appointed one to become King of Israel. This No Name branded kid became the best choice leading brand over the people of Israel. Not even his Brand name brothers could beat the No Name branded David who happened to be the “black sheep” of the family.
What is my point? Do NOT underestimate the people that are around you in your daily affairs. You have no idea what leading brand they carry in their giftings. The moment we underestimate people is the moment God chooses to elevate them to leading brand positions just like Dave Nicol’s No Name Brand surpassed the leading brands in the same supermarket. Also, consider that it is best to live a life of consecration rather than continue living a life filled with compromise and then only wait for the very last minute to act consecrated and miss the mark when the time calls for divine favor to be poured on someones head. From my experience, I have come across many people in my day who I have perceived as been overlooked for positioning from among people who seemingly have a “name” to themselves and thrive on ‘titles’ rather than integrity, who at the same time treat people below them like as if they are beneath them… It is that same level of Saul-like arrogance that moves the favor they think they have onto the No Name Brands at God’s discretion.
Lately, God has shown me some No Name brands that have been exalted and are soon to be positioned in their rightful places. I’m very excited to see these people among the brand names…because God is about to do an amazing work with these No Names. What I want to say is that, when you go about your daily affairs, treat people as if they were No Names…you have no idea who you maybe entertaining. The moment people think they’re hot shots…is when they place themselves in a place where God will humble that arrogance. It is better to esteem another higher than yourself in order to maintain a Character of humility.
The best servant of the King of kings, is one who knows how to serve others in order to lead.
2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
1 Thessalonians 5:12-14
Various Exhortations
12 And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, 13 and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.
So today, repent of any area of arrogance that you may have displayed against some people out of ignorance. Decide to treat people with a higher level of respect and consider that it is not beneficial to you to entertain the puffed-up pride of individuals you relish flattery like ex-King Saul than it is to encourage a humble steward with a David-like character that is so easily overlooked within a crowed of witnesses because such people are NOT overlooked by God Himself.
How can you distinguish who is a No Name brand amongst the Brand names? Through this scripture which says:
1 Corinthians 1:27
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
Let the Davids rise up this year in the name of Jesus!

The Power of Speaking Blessings to Break a Curse
Hi Everybody!
I just finished reading the book Deliverance from Darkness by James Goll, and can tell you that it is an amazing book to read and I still recommend it. He talks about the power of blessing and describes a situation where he was ministering to a non-english speaking congregation and as he spoke a blessing in english over the congregation as he was led by the Holy Spirit, there was a woman who was paralyzed in her legs that was sitting there and she felt something like lightening enter through her body to her legs and she started to walk and then went on to dance. The congregation knew about this woman’s issue with paralysis and started to celebrate as she recieved her healing during the time James Goll was pronouncing prophetic blessings over the congregation in English (it was not translated at the time).
Today my devotional is focusing on the power of spoken word of blessings. After reading that section of James Goll’s book, the first verse of scripture that came to my mind that was also impressed upon my spirit was this:
Matthew 5:44
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,Luke 6:28
bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.Romans 12:14
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
People, this is an amazing thing for you all to get into the practice of doing. The power of spoken words of blessing is one that is able to Heal, Deliver, and Break Curses that are operating in peoples lives. You know that saying about “Positive confession brings about possession”? In the same way…if you speak negatively…you are pronouncing curses that you will also begin to possess by a reaping method. That’s why people must learn to order their conversations right and also be mindful of how they speak to others and to guard their confessions. It is indeed a difficult thing to learn to bridle ones tongue, but that is what the Lord means when He says that:
Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Now think back on things you’ve spoken over yourself or to others…What fruit are you eating???? This question is very important to think about because you will uncover as you learn to practice intropection and self-analyze the areas in which you have said or thought something you regret and now are reaping the consequences to such ill-spoken words.
Everything you say starts with a thought that comes from the heart that manifests in the natural as a deed.
Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
What has this got to do with talking about blessings? Blessings are spoken words with power to bring forth that which did not exist to come into existence.
Romans 4:17
(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations” ) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
The reason for this post is to help you understand that as intercessors we can drive back the evil forces by reversing the curses by speaking and decreeing blessings (BY FAITH) that do not exist in your present situations as though they did.
So in regards to places like America…pronounce blessings in your prayers over the nation if you are interceding for the Nation. This goes for any country that you live in. Yes, we must bind things in the process, but don’t forget to pronounce blessings in your prayer life as you go about interceding for someone or for a group of people.
Even within your own family…you can overcome a curse by pronouncing blessings that did not exist as though they did. Call forth things that are not as though they are. If you see darkness invading your Church, pronounce blessings over the Church to counteract the curse that is trying to claim territory.
Curses claim territory….blessings claim territory…so ask yourself…what is existing in the territory that you are living in?????? Blessings? or curses???
I know that with the church that I attend…I always pray asking the Lord to make the church property Holy Ground, especially during special occasions and Sunday services as I claim it to be God’s territory. I plead the blood of Jesus over the Land and mark the territory Holy ground that not even witchcraft power has room to operate in it. I pray to God dismantling any ungodly alters or hidden fetishes (an occultic practice to place ungodly objects on property to curse people – usually targeting leaders) that try to contaminate and infiltrate the church property or homes of people in the congregation. Everything must be subjected to the Power of the Holy Spirit and the blood of Jesus and everything is in subjection to the Power of our Lord Jesus Christ’s name. I even pronounce the workplace that I work in to be Holy Ground…I claim territory for the Lord wherever I go…and trust me…when you start to decree and declare where ever you go to be Holy ground unto the Lord, you invite the presence of the Holy Spirit to invade that place and evict demonic forces. This is the level of spiritual warfare I’m in.
It doesn’t matter where I am…my cubicle is dedicated to God…my car is dedicated to God…my apartment is dedicated to God where ever my foot touches the ground, I declare it Holy in Jesus name and mark it as Holy Ground unto the Lord. Even if I’m in a city vehicle or train…I declare it Holy Ground. Angels are released each time I declare that this is Holy Ground.
Psalm 37:23
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way.
I have interceded for people who didn’t even know I was interceding for them and I have seen the fruit of my intercession for them. I see that the things that once bound them in confusion have been broken. Where anger existed, kindness has become their countenance, where pride was taking a seat, humilty has become the throne room of grace, where deception was rampant, revelation has dispelled deception…the more you pronounce blessings on people the more you allow the presence of God to enter into their lives. So to those that even curse me…I have even had witches approach me blatantly as of late… and unbeknownst to them, I pray for them that they may come to know that no matter what they try to do against me…God is more powerful than their witchcraft and God loves them so I pray that they will get saved in the Church. May they come to know that Jesus Christ is really the only Lord over their lives.
The Lord has shown me that it is important to bless those that curse you. I know the reason why He emphasizes this to me is because He knows that I can be an emotional and reactionary individual when it comes to people rubbing me the wrong way…but now I’m learning to mature in this area (still a work in progress though) and have been in the practice of pronouncing blessings to every person that tries to curse me. I want them to know that Jesus Christ is Lord. Don’t get me wrong though, it doesn’t mean that I don’t understand the assignment or certain peoples agenda against me…I remain on the offensive at all times through prayer and fasting, but God has been teaching me on how to respond to the assignment rather than react to it. It isn’t easy to wish someone well when they hurt and dissappoint you…but remember that the power of a blessing can heal, deliver, and break curses over people’s lives.
It is extremely important to shield yourself from being offended by peoples actions. You don’t want to end up cursing someone with your lips and opening up doors of unforgiveness into your life that releases serious curses that keep you bound up instead.
Practice daily repentance, forgiveness, and humility to shield your spirit from being contaminated by offence that leads you to curse someone which will ricochet back to you since it is not of God to curse someone. *this is KEY people*
Understand the principle…everytime we curse someone…we also get cursed…everytime you bless someone, you also get blessed. Better to have blessings ricochet your way than curses.
James 3:10
Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.
So as I said about America…and for other nations…pray blessings over the land…where ever you see a curse operating in someone’s life…pronounce blessings over them to reverse the curse. Look for blessings in the bible to prophecy blessings over people and speak positive confessions over them and yourself as well.
Curses (in my opinion) are the absence of divine blessings from God, so speak blessings in your life and in other people in order to reverse the curse.
The Power of a true believing Christian is to be Blessed to be a Blessing through your spoken word that comes from the Heart that manifests in your deeds (actions), so learn to bless people with your mouth rather than curse, AMEN!
I have a song here that you may know from Fred Hammond & R.F.C called We’re Blessed. May this song minister to you today. God Bless you Everybody!

Scriptures to Meditate
Genesis 12:3
I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Numbers 24:9
‘He bows down, he lies down as a lion; And as a lion, who shall rouse him?’ “Blessed is he who blesses you, And cursed is he who curses you.”
Deuteronomy 28 (NIV)
Blessings for Obedience
28 If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:
3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
7 The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
8 The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
9 The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him. 10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you. 11 The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.
12 The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

What Have I been Reading Lately?
Hi Everybody!
I know, I haven’t had much time lately for a decent devotional but I will get cracking eventually. Right now I’m reading many books of Deliverance and Healing. I just finished reading Cindy Jacobs book called Deliver Us From Evil. Let me tell you that that book is phenomenal! It is eye opening and I will definitely recommend it here for y’all to go pick it up in your Christian book store. It is one book that was mentioned in Rebecca Greenwood’s book Let Our Children Go! if you read my previous post called War- Ship We will sing songs of Deliverance.
Cindy Jacobs does in an in depth analysis of different occultic practices that are infiltrating in the subtle activities that our children are engaging themselves in presently and confronts issues with witchcraft practices subtly being introduced through movies, music , cartoons and video games. I would read it along with Rebecca’s book since it reveals a little bit more of certain things we take for granted like reading horoscopes and the like. It’s opened up my eyes and some things you may not have even considered to be occultic leads you to repent about it. For example thoughts about reincarnation…as subtle as it is, it is something like that which is what I consider to be a vain imagination that needs to be repented about if you engage is such thoughts.
2 Corinthians 10:5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
I found myself repenting over a lot of stuff since some of the things she explains were done out of ignorance. It’s worth a read and it will definitely help you to break curses that you probably have no clue are operating in your life right now if you participated in certain activities like something as innocent as playing Dungeons and Dragons or playing with a Ouija board etc. You’ll have to seek God and repent of these type of things because such things leave so much legal ground for curses to operate in ones life which can later become generational if one refuses to break the curse through repentance. Knowledge is power people…don’t be a proverbial Hosea 4:6 -
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also will reject you from being priest for Me;
Because you have forgotten the law of your God,
I also will forget your children.
Cindy Jacobs also explains things a little more intricately in her book and of course there are more books to discover on the topic of deliverance. In fact, if you’re serious, I totally recommend another book called The Handbook for Spiritual Warfare by Dr. Ed Murphy. It’s about 600+ pages but it’s awesome and I consider it to be an easy read. Actually, I have many books to recommend, but I won’t over-burden y’all with my book recommendations if you’re not interested in spiritual warfare, healing and deliverance ministry. If you are, I’ll probably make a special post just for book recommendations and probably do some book reviews periodically. I’ve been thinking about it for a while but everything depends on peoples level of interest on the topic so it’s just food for thought in terms of future posts. I typically recommend books I’ve read mostly or have heard was really good by others who have read the book that they recommend to me to read. I prefer recommending books I’ve read though, so that’s what I will probably do for now.
Right now I even recommend James Goll’s book Deliverance from Darkness which I’m still reading at the moment, and let me tell you, his book is also quite phenomenal as well. He takes a biblical perspective regarding deliverance and the type of spirits people may encounter and how to deal with people needing deliverance. Healing is important to every individual, but like Cindy said in her forward in Rebecca Greenwood’s book Let Our children Go!, there comes a time when some things just need to be cast out because of the very nature of the problem. Counseling can only take you so far at times, but then there is that need for deliverance in certain situations that are beyond counseling. Anyway, I’m still a scholar in this whole topic, so these are the books I’m recommending at the moment if you are an intercessor specifically, in fact I think since we are all called to intercede everybody should be in the same bandwagon. no more putting your head in the sand thinking such problems will just magically disappear. We need to be more knowledgeable about this type of stuff if we are a warfaring church. I’ve read a lot more books, but these ones are pretty awesome so far. I have other books I’d recommend from Peter Horrobin, and Charles T. Kraft but I’ve got to read them first before I say anything. I also would consider that anyone reading any of these books that I recommend or if you find other books on your own regarding the topic of deliverance, I highly suggest that you first pray to have your mind covered because it is warfare for even me to be reading these books. Always pray for covering for every Christian book that you read. Well, I think that’s my last book recommendation for now lol
I think I’m getting carried away here lol. I guess you can tell that I love reading
Have an Amazing day Everybody! God Bless y’all!
War-ship- We shall sing Songs of Deliverance
Hi Everybody!
Psalm 32:7
You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah
I woke up today thinking that it’s time we sing new songs and I believe we need to sing songs of Deliverance. Deliverance and Healing is the Children’s bread (Matthew 15:25-27 ; Mark 7:27). I’ve been reading a book called Let Our Children Go! by Rebecca Greenwood that was recommended to me by a friend and it covers many topics that deal with the demonic and occultic influences that are harming and influencing our present generation. I’ve learned quite a lot in that book and totally recommend every parent to go get that book if they see their children struggling with things that seem beyond their control. It will seriously sharpen your discernment and give you some spiritual insight on how to effectively pray for your children.
If this book had been written years ago, I think I would have benefited greatly from it had I known what in the world I was dealing with when I was growing up. I suffered a lot of spiritual oppression in my dream life as I was growing up as a kid and I also suffered from supernatural physical attacks that were unexplainable to both me and my grandparents although they had some suspicions that it was occult related. There were certain distant relatives and so-called family acqaintances and friends that actively participated in the practice of witchcraft and the occult behind closed doors unbeknownst to us and when I discovered their true nature it explained a lot of things that I was suffering from since the day I was born. This is why it is important to seek knowledge in order to understand what it is that you are dealing with so that you will know how to pray effectively with wisdom and discernment in regards to intercession rather than praying in vain constantly missing the target in your prayers because of a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).
When I got saved, I was hungry for knowledge regarding healing and deliverance after reading certain books that my mom gave me that revealed what it was exactly that I was suffering from. The one book I read that contributed to me giving up my life to Jesus at the age of 15 was from Dr. Rebecca Brown MD called He Came to set the Captives Free. That book changed my life forever. Ever since I was set free from the stuff I was being oppressed by, my passion has been in the area of healing and deliverance specifically. I’m still reading many books on the topic because there is soo much to learn regarding it and considering how society is always changing every 10 years, you will discover that the methods to trap children in cycles of oppression are becoming more subtle and more devious as the days get evil, so it is important to constantly be in a state where you are up to date with knowledge in order to deal with the new things that are popping up to trap the new genearation into new forms of bondages. Other books by Rebecca Brown MD are Prepare for War, Vessels of Honor, and Unbroken Curses (which I highly recommend…hmm. I seem to highly recommend a lot of books lol
).
When I received my deliverance, I was sooooo blessed of God, that inside me, I wished that I had known all about this stuff earlier. Now my greatest desire as a worshiper is to see other people set free from bondage and chains of injustices brought upon by strongholds that are in their lives. God wants to see His Children set free from demonic oppression and generational curses so that we become what God intended us to be, and that is a victorious Spiritual Warfaring Church as the Bride of Christ. Sometimes people suffer many of these types of things I have described here because they lack information of what they are truly dealing with here, so get read up on the topic of deliverance if you want to see healing and household salvation come into your homes. You have to do something practical if you want to see things happen supernatural. I think at some point I will list some great books on deliverance later on depending on how many people respond and inquire about it in days to come. I’m still a student on the topic of deliverance and I can tell you that my prayer life has changed dramatically as I continue to read on and gain more knowledge. Knowledge is power people. That’s why it is necessary to gain it if you want to be victorious.
The Lord is impressing upon my heart that we need to sing new songs as of late. The title of my post is not a miss-spelling. I deliberately entitled it War-ship and not worship because worship is a type of warfare weapon that is not carnal but is Mighty through God in the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We can praise our way through our Red sea situations as we cross over to the other side from captivity into freedom and safety; We can also praise our Jericho walls down with a mighty shout of victory; We can be like Gideon holding a trumpet in one hand and a torch in another entering into battle and literally war-shiping our way into victory! Praise is our weapon so let us wear garments of Praise.
Worship is a supernatural activity of warfare that manifests victories in the natural. It is not a sing-a-song-that-tickles-my-fancy type of concert. We must learn to revere our God when we War-ship Him because He is a Holy God. Unfortunately, we take worship for granted and that is why some churches remain bound by demonic influences in their congregations becuase they don’t understand how powerful worship really is. If the Church only knew…we would be a force to be reckoned with.
We need to change our outlook on Praise and Worship and really start to make it be what it was intended for. I believe that healing and deliverance should take place every time we are engaged in an atmosphere of praise and worship. Why do some churches experience healing and deliverance and others don’t? It’s because we don’t understand our weapons of warfare. We don’t seem to understand the battle we are in every time we enter into God Courts of Praise. Where God is, Victory follows; Where God is, healing comes; Where God is, Deliverance is possible; Where God is, we become WHOLE; Where God is, we become Sons of GOD. Do you understand where I’m going with this?
So today, Fix your eyes on Jesus , the Author and Finisher of our FAITH (Hebrews 12:2)and consider that we need to step our game up in WAR-SHIP WORSHIP. Pick up the full armor of GOD and WAR-SHIP with Victory in mind. God seeks those who will Worship Him in Spirit and in TRUTH. Seek to do this and you’ll see amazing things happen as you enter into His courts with Praise and thanksgiving. Miracles are always present in Worship, AMEN!
I have a song here by Rotoya Williams called Songs of Deliverance. May it bless you all today Everybody!

Zephaniah 2:11
The LORD will be awesome to them, For He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth; People shall worship Him, Each one from his place, Indeed all the shores of the nations.
Matthew 4:10
Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”

3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
John 9:31
Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.

The Will of God for the Sons of God
Hi Everybody!
Today’s Devotional comes from the book ofMatthew 21: 28-30
The Parable of the Two Sons
28 “But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go, work today in my vineyard.’ 29 He answered and said, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he regretted it and went. 30 Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, ‘I go, sir,’ but he did not go. 31 Which of the two did the will of his father?”
They said to Him, “The first.”
Jesus said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you. 32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw it, you did not afterward relent and believe him.
It’s interesting to note the two distinctions between the two sons. The First son was not really wanting to do what His Father asked of him, but after careful consideration of his arrogance and obstinate behavior towards his father, he felt guilt and decided to act in obedience to his Father’s request in order to reconcile back into his father’s good graces. The Second son claimed he would fulfill his Father’s request but ended up being all Lip service and no action.
These two sons are Characteristic of two types of Christians.
The Character of the First Son: There will be times when we are asked to do something that we don’t want to do by our Father in Heaven because of fear and also the weight of the task may seem overwhelming or just tedious; however, despite this, we ought to act in obedience nevertheless. When I think about this, I think of Moses and Gideon who were called out by God Himself to become the chosen deliverers for the Children of Israel out of the hand of their oppressors. However, they too had excuses to disqualify themselves from becoming God’s “Called Out Ones” (the Ekklesia; greek), nevertheless, they still satisfied and answered to the call on their lives despite their reluctance. They are great examples of the First Son’s character to the Father’s will.
The Character of the Second Son: Those that claim they will do something for God and don’t are hypocritical, unreliable, untrustworthy, double-minded and disobedient. The nature of the Second Son is Characteristic of a Son of Disobedience (Ephesians 2:2; Colossians 3:6).
Ephesians 5:6
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
Disobedience to the Fathers will is the fruit of the Second Son. The Second son was all Lip-service with no action. As it says in the Word (the Bible), Faith without works is dead (James 2:20) and this son compromises his faith in his father by this willful act of disobedience. It is clear that the second son simply desired to satisfy his Fathers ears by acting compliant to his request in order to get him to leave him alone to his other devices, when clearly he had no intention of satisfying his father’s request. He operated in disobedience of the Father’s will by feigning obedience to his father. Such a character is self-seeking and pretentious in its actions that it is also considered to be a form of false humility.
For those that have followed my blog for a while you will already know that I have spoken about false humility and the importance of detecting it several times with great emphasis because it is something I see in operation to this day. I can tell you by just looking at these two sons, that the first son chose the path of Humility to do the Father’s will even though his initial reaction to his Father’s request was one of arrogance and reluctance. The other Son who acted compliant and yielding to his father’s will initially is one who prides himself on looking the part of a ‘good and faithful son’ while really taking on a mask of pretension while operating in pride against the Father’s will by choosing the path of dishonesty and willful disobedience. This Second son’s pretentiousness is a fruit of disobedience to his Father. There is evidence of self-righteousness in his actions in that he’d rather appear legalistically legitimate before his father rather than actually operate with integrity to perform his Father’s request. The Second son epitomizes one appearing to have the form of godliness but denying it’s power (2 Timothy 3:5) by acting in willful disobedience. Such a son is evil and that is why I refer to him as a Son of Disobedience.
We should never be like the second son because we are heirs of the righteousness according to our faith (Hebrews 11:7). So Today, think about becoming more like the First Son rather than the Second Son. It’s is better to be obedient to the Father’s will in your life rather than pretending to walk in obedience. Such pretension is ungodly in character and hypocritical. A person thinks that they are fooling people by operating in this fashion, but what they are really doing is fooling themselves and the Devil is laughing at them. The First son had a contrite heart towards his obstinate behavior and with such a heart the Lord our God does not despise because the First Son purposed to fulfill his Father’s will in the end (Psalm 51:17). This is how we should be when we are called by God to do something that is outside our comfort zone. It’s not always easy to obey a parents direction, but our Father God wants what is best for us. In humility we must learn what it means to submit and yield to God’s will and purpose in our lives.
Willful disobedience draws us away and far from God, Obedience brings us closer to Him. Purpose Obedience and walk in humility, Amen!

Here I have a cartoon illustrating my point. It maybe a little Sunday schoolish for you but it’s a good illustration. Enjoy it and have a blessed day everybody!

Regrets
Hi Everybody,
Happy FRIDAY! Wow it’s already the third day of Summer and as you noticed I reblogged my summer survival kit for all those who need a few pointers to survive the heat. Keep cool and drink lots and lots of water. Don’t regret anything.
Todays devotional is about regrets. I know that I’ve done many things I regret but at the same time I have learned that it is more important to consider what I should have done differently had I a chance to turn things around. We shouldn’t mill around in self-pity when God can turn what was meant for evil for good when we choose to lean on His divine wisdom to get out of this mess. One thing we should never do is end up being in denial of the mess we make. It’s not a good thing to be in-denial of our own problems because that’s an area of pride that refuses to take responsibility for actions. I agree that some things are beyond our control and some things are based on irresponsible decisions that we make, but despite all of this we have the Holy Spirit in us to develop self-control. When we take ownership for our actions it is easier to reconcile with the Father when we come to Him with a contrite spirit that seeks forgiveness and assistance to set things back on course. Offence can derail us and self-condemnation arrests us, so it is important to seek God and repent of any area of weakness, failures and mistakes with honesty and with humility.
Psalm 34:18
The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.Psalm 51:17
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despiseIsaiah 57:15
For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
God is so good in that even though we make many mistakes, He is still willing to work with us when we humble ourselves and recognize that “Oops…I made a mess of things. Please help me” because His love endures forever (Psalm 136 ). Ask for God’s help today and you’ll see turn arounds when you yield to His infinite wisdom. I know that for me some mistakes can’t be easily repaired overnight and somethings take time to heal but with whatever is impossible with us, with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). It is true that some things may end up as wounds, but God is able to heal the deepest crevices of our hearts even when they are broken. So today, Lean on God’s Love and ask Him for a divine turn around in your situation. God loves it when we ask Him for His help because He comes to us with open arms just like the father that greeted his prodigal son that sqwandered his inheritance and came back seeking his fathers forgiveness. In the same way, Let God greet you with Open arms as you return to Him in HUMILITY.He will robe you in His righteousness as you seek to connect with him and remain in right standing together with the Lord as your covering. May this video bless you Everybody!

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Genesis 50:20
But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
The Parable of the Lost Son
1
1 Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. 13 And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. 14 But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. 15 Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.
17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”’
20 “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring[a] out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.
25 “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’
28 “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. 29 So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 30 But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’
31 “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. 32 It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’”
