How the Qu’ran converted a Muslim to Christ

Hi Everybody!

I know I’ve posted this already on my facebook, but I feel lead to post this on my blog to get a wider audience. Check out this snippet of Mario Joseph’s transformation from being a Muslim to coming to know about Christ from the things he found out in Islams holy book the Qu’ran. The Qu’ran is what changed his mind and view about Christianity as he was challenged to answer questions regarding who is Jesus Christ…the interview is amazing. God can cause us to find the truth and use the most foolish ways to get to it, to confound the wise. Isn’t God Great?

It really speaks to this verse of scripture in 1 Corinthians 1:27  which says:

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

May this video bless your heart today.

So What Do We Do Now With Mark Driscoll?

So What Do We Do Now With Mark Driscoll?.

I read this article and thought to myself how sad it is that popular preachers are straying from the safety net of wise counselors by abusing their powers that not only affect the flock, but their spiritual walk with God on a personal basis.

I think the major take away from this article are the numbered items that I think are key for leaders to understand about their role. There is nothing wrong with making mistakes…but it is the attitude in which those refuse to repent or be corrected by them that worries me. I have seen this happen in a church before and all the signs are there, but people are too afraid to speak up, pay attention, or do something about it (i.e. confront their leaders). We are our brothers keeper…and it is a duty to make sure that when even a leader strays. we guide them back on the right path on the right road with love and compassion and direction. If we shy away from correcting them…are we not saying we don’t care for their lives???

This should be food for thought today.

What would Jesus want us to do? We cannot forsake our brothers and sisters…but if they refuse to change…they will have to answer to God in the long run for their own actions. Apostasy continues when people don’t stand up for what is right, allowing abuse to continue to happen.

As a watchwoman, I find this to be critical to watch out for this year…leaders will reap what they sow during the season of the harvest if they don’t repent. It is not God’s will to watch Christian leaders fall…He wants them to change their ways and humble themselves and pray and turn away from their wicked ways, and God will restore them and heal them and deliver them, if and when they do choose the path of the humble and decide to repent openly before God and their flock.

This is a good time to remind people of the warning signs of an unhealthy church:

1. Little or no accountability. When celebrity preachers seem eager to tell everyone else what to do but aren’t willing to hear correction from others, prepare for a train wreck. There is safety in the multitude of counselors (see Prov. 11:14). There is much less safety—even danger—when a leader does not seek counsel from a diverse group of his peers.

2. Spiritual elitism. If there is a spirit of control in a church, people are usually told their group is superior. If people choose to leave, they are shunned or branded as renegades. Sometimes, in extreme cases, people are even cursed if they leave. This cultic behavior inflicts unimaginable emotional suffering and also divides families.

3. An oppressive atmosphere. Authoritarian leaders control people through manipulation. This may come in the form of threats, legalistic demands, unreasonable requirements or false doctrines. In such a church no one is allowed to ask questions. Spiritual heaviness lies like a thick cloud over the congregation, and few believers manifest genuine joy.

4. Angry domination. Tyrants are surprisingly similar. Because they want to control their surroundings, they often blow up when people do not conform to their demands. Yet the apostle Paul taught that church leaders should not be “violent” or “quarrelsome” but “self-controlled” and “gentle” (see 1 Tim. 3:2-3). He also instructed Timothy that the Lord’s servant “must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone” (2 Timothy 2:24).

 5. A low view of women. While churches today differ in their views on women in leadership, it should be noted that authoritarian churches almost always discourage women from pursuing any genuine role in ministry. Women are viewed as useful only in their functions as submissive wives and mothers, and they are not encouraged to step beyond these confines to pursue ministry opportunities.

Let’s pray that the healing power of Jesus covers this situation in Seattle—and that the people who left Mars Hill Church, the people who remain there, and Mark Driscoll himself can recover from the trauma of spiritual abuse.

Ignite My Fire for New Beginnings this Month

5988623188_2669f7a0fd_z

Hi Everybody!

I know that it’s been a while since I’ve written on my Blog. I mean it’s been a while since I’ve written anything substantive, but I just want to let you know that I’m still alive and well :).

I want to declare and decree to you that this month of August is a month of New Beginnings.

August is the 8th month of the year and number 8 in biblical numerology is always associated with NEW BEGINNINGS! HALLELUJAH! :D

REJOICE!!!!! because this is also a month that I believe you will receive answered prayers. The important key factor about receiving something is your EXPECTATION level. What are you Expecting from God? Some people pray and give up along the way, but I want to encourage you in this season NOT TO GIVE UP. Keep pressing through for your breakthrough.

Another thing I want to point out is that blessings don’t just fall from the sky and onto your lap… My friends, you have to ACT, you have to MOVE by faith (be practical) to obtain the promises of God. Passivity does not bring bread and butter to the table. You have to GO OUT and make it happen. I’m not here to give you a fluffy feel-good about yourself kind of message. You will have to learn what it means to endure and press through and face trials and tribulations by remaining steadfast and vigilant. As the old sayings go, No Pain, No Gain, No Guts, No Glory…

Laziness is a vice to your advancement in the Kingdom of God. So Go out there and get with the program.

If you are not prepared to face battles in your mind right now….then you are destined to fail. OUCH Sherline, Where’s the encouragement woman!!!!!! (I’m sorry, did I just smack you with the truth?) tsk tsk tsk.

WAKE UP and FACE REALITY! You must aim to get stronger if you are weak right now. Train yourself, seek knowledge, pursue wisdom, for wisdom will carry you to greater heights.

Build emotional strength and wisdom to confront each battle with the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Gird yourself up with the full armor of God and choose to not lean on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge God and He will direct your path… (Proverbs 3:6) God will make your path straight when you are led by His Spirit, so seek God first in all that you do. You aren’t that bright all by yourself.

I’ve been learning on my journey that people who are short sighted only see where you are right now, but they don’t know where God is taking you when you are following Him. Do not be distracted by the naysayers and the ones who don’t have the same revelation of God that you have. Criticism is really a sign of insecurity to the one who gives criticism aimed to cut down and tear down at others so that they can feel better about themselves. You have no time to trifle with such people. Shake the criticism and the discouragement off and keep your head high and focus on the goal.

You must remain focused so that you obtain your promises from the Lord. Critics are those walking around for 40 years in a desert not seeing a way out… You will notice that nothing around them changes so you must be like Caleb and say “enough is enough! I’m walking towards the promised land!”  This is how you should go about your everyday business.

Choose your battles wisely because sometimes you’ll get caught up in fruitless arguments that also pose as a distraction. Let me tell you, You have no time for that in this season. Remain focused, be vigilant, don’t be passive and remain ACTIVE. Your pursuit of happiness is determined on how you conquer minor and major giants that you face in your daily life. Seek wisdom from the Lord if you lack it. The Lord will not withhold any Good thing from you.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.

The Lord has been impressing upon my heart to tell the people I want them to focus on the Deuteronomy 28 Blessings. So what I’m going to do is paste this scripture here on this blog and you are going to pronounce these blessings over your household and your family in this month of August. Great things are coming to your address!

Deuteronomy 28: 1-14(NKJV)

Blessings on Obedience

28 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:

“Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.

“Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.

“Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.

“Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

“The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

“The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways. 10 Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. 11 And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12 The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13 And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. 14 So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Here is a song that is in my Spirit lately by William Murphy called Ignite My Fire. May this Song Bless your Spirit Today. God Bless you everybody! :D

We are VICTORIOUS!

Happy Sunday Everybody!

I just had to post this song by Donnie McClurkin feat. Tye Tribbett called We are Victorious!

God has made us to be winners! This Year, is a year of breakthrough, a year of breaking barriers, breaking chains, breaking limitations and anything that hindered your blessings and dreams! God is in the mood of building a Victorious Church this year that won’t back down, that won’t focus on things by what they see, but will walk by faith, act by faith and move by Faith since God is the Author and Finisher of our Faith.

Romans 10:17

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
looking unto Jesus, the authorand finisher of
our faith,
who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Listen to this Song, let it fill your Spirit today and be Blessed!  God bless you everybody! :D

He Did it for You

Hi Everybody!

I know easter has already passed, but I felt that as I saw this video today, we must remember that Christ redeemed us at a price. He did all that He was predestined to do to bring us back to the Father. He laid down His life for you…No simple man can do what Christ did for all of humanity. All Jesus asks of us today is to now walk BLAMELESSLY.

Jesus did not lay down His life for all of us and then  resurrect Himself in vain. His plan was to reunite us back to the Father and to reconcile and  restore our authority as joint-heirs of the King of kings. Through Jesus’ blood we have access granted back into the Kingdom of Heaven. Let us rejoice and remember that He did it all for you.

Today, think about what the cross means to you. Jesus was blameless and is blameless, now we too must walk blamelessly before the Father and seek to do right. May this video bless your spirit today. God bless you everybody!

Deuteronomy 18:13

You shall be blameless before the Lord your God.

2 Samuel 22:26

“With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; With a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless;
Job 1:8

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
Psalm 37:37

Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace.
Proverbs 2:21

For the upright will dwell in the land, And the blameless will remain in it;
Proverbs 28:18

Whoever walks blamelessly will be saved, But he who is perverse in his ways will suddenly fall.
Philippians 2:15

that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
2 Peter 3:14

Be Steadfast ] Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;

Window of Blessings Rain Down on ME!

Hi Everybody! :) I just wanted to post this awesome song by Canton Jones  called “Window”.  I believe in this year of Double perfection, Double Grace, Double Harvest and Double for your Trouble, that it’s time to shout out to the Heavens that the Windows of blessings are open over your head. That’s right everybody! Praise the Lord for these open Doors that no man can shut and the open windows of blessings going to rain all over you. For some of you, you may have been going through tough times, in fact…really really difficult times that you maybe wondering when will this time of trouble end for you and your household. Just remember that even in those times of despair, trouble is not your portion in life. Jeremiah 29:11 is your portion in life. Trouble will only last a season, and then once you have persevered, pushed through and fought the good fight, blessings will come your way for every tear shed, for every hour you were left in darkness. Trust me, been in that place before especially last year, and let me tell you, God is faithful to those that are faithful to Him. FAITH is the Key that Unlocks every door and window in your life.  One principle that I must state is important to reiterate time and time again is the principle of   Seed —> Time —>Harvest. Seed into your breakthrough in order to obtain your Harvest. Farmers expect to yield a harvest after they have done the work to sow seed, cultivate the land and expect to yield a crop for their harvest so ask yourself, what seeds have you planted in anticipation for your Harvest? Bring your seed to the Lord’s store house and see it double in this year. Seed with revelation rather than by mere ritual.  Malachi 3:10

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.

My encouragement to you today is to never give up on God no matter what you go through. His Will will always be to Prosper you and never to Harm you and to give you a bright future (Jeremiah 29:11). The most important thing about an open Window, is recognizing the timing of when these windows of opportunity open for you. Do not be stuck is self-pity land during the timing when Doors open and windows open over your life. You just might miss them if you remain self-absorbed by your own problems. Focus on what’s ahead of you, that is what your eyes in the front of your head are for. There is no reason for you to focus on what’s behind you since the past is already past. Look towards the future. Live your life expecting the best that is yet to come.  Be Encouraged and know that God will never Forsake you even in your darkest hours and moments in your life. He is there with you every step of the way….so start rejoicing now and start praising Him now because I prophesy and declare that the Windows this year are WIDE OPEN for His people. Look out and hold onto your blessings one by one and keep your faith alive and keep expecting. Your season of Lack is over…it’s time to take dominion! Speak into the atmosphere and declare what it is you want to see. God Bless you Everybody and enjoy this Song. Be encouraged! Love y’all! :D

Worship Sunday: Clean this House

Hi Everybody,

Happy Thanksgiving Canada!

I just want to thank God for all that He has done in my life and I just adore Him. When you remember the mess you were before Christ and then remember how you felt when you received Christ, there’s something that happens in you that makes you never want to go back to the same place you were before you knew Him. Sometimes we forget all that He has done, and it’s time to really refocus on our relationship with Him and seek God to purify our hearts. If we want to live a life filled with gratitude, we must constantly seek God to clean the houses of our hearts. We must rekindle the torch that makes us so passionate about Christ in the first place.

Today I’m putting up a song from Isaach Carree called Clean this House. We go through many trials that when we remember how God brought us out of them and forgiving us over and over we become really grateful for the saving Grace that God has for us. May this song minister your spirit today!

Matthew 5:8

Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

God Bless You Everybody!

Worship Weekend: I Struggle

Hi Everybody!

I just came across this awesome song sung by Tenth Avenue North  called The Struggle. This song really inspired me to share it today because I know that I still struggle with my own weaknesses despite being a Christian. Just because you are Christian doesn’t mean that you don’t encounter days of weakness. It makes me appreciate my humanity and need of my Savior more. We need to face the fact that each day is a test, each day can be a blessing or a curse by the things we do, think or say. It’s all about how we view the world in light of the knowledge of what we know or do not know about what it means to be Christ-like. “In this world, there will be trouble…but take heart” says the Lord Jesus, “I have overcome the World” John 16:33.  There will be days when you won’t like who you are, but when you are in Christ, understand that you do not serve a God that is unable to sympathize with your weakness, for Jesus also encountered many tests, many temptations, many trials and many opportunities to be offended; however, He overcame each one. It is through Him that we can be redeemed from our weaknesses and failures.

Confess them before  the Lord, and He will set you free from self-condemnation.

Hebrews 4:15

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

When we are weak, Jesus helps us to be strong. Lean on Him today when you know that doing it alone isn’t enough anymore. Seek refuge under the wings of the Almighty and He that guides you into all Truth will help you deal with each issue so that you will be free.

Enjoy this Song Everybody and Be Blessed! :D

Inspiration Sunday: Identity – I Know Who I AM

Hi Everybody!

Happy Sunday!

Today I have a cool video by Dan Stevers called Identity. It is so important as believers that we need to see Christ not only walking with us in our daily lives, but we need to ensure that we have Christ IN us as well.

You are known by your FRUIT.

Christ is part of our Identity. We imitate what our Father does by our words, our deeds, our actions, and our lifestyle. When our footsteps are ordered of the Lord, the reason why He delights in our way is because our footsteps are matching His. We are walking on the RIGHT path by being obedient to our Christ-like nature. We cannot afford to veer of the path and walk in darkness. We have to remain in right-standing and walk in the light of God’s Word — which is the TRUTH. Though the path of becoming like Christ is not an easy road to take, it is the ONLY path one must walk in order to Glorify the Father.

God can only recognize those who walk in the same path that His Son Jesus walked.

If we are unwilling to walk like Christ, then we ourselves reject Christ by default. We cannot afford to do this everybody!

Our Identity is so wrapped up in Him that we cannot afford to have an identity crisis right now. It’s either you walk in the counsel of the Godly, or you opt for a dark road by walking in the counsel of the un-Godly. The path of Christ is life which is foolishness to those who are perishing. If more people walked in that direction, those who are standing by while watching everyone else walking in the same direction towards Christ will question why these believers aren’t following them. The reason is because the path of the believer is the STANDARD. Once they realize this, it will help them follow your Christ-like walk.

Holding onto who you are in Christ is so powerful because it makes others question the current status quo of their lives especially if you remain steadfast and unwavering in your faith in Christ, which is expressed by how you live. It’s time to carry God as part of our IDENTITY so that when people look at you, they are no longer able to recognize you for who you once were without Him. They will end up testifying and witnessing to others and say that there’s something different about you, but they just don’t know what it is. The answer is quite easy — It’s CHRIST! Evangelism becomes easy in this instance because all you’ll have to do is introduce them to the Christ in you the hope of Glory as the answer to their questions. When you live like Christ, you will stick out from the crowd so much so that it’s hard to ignore what’s going on with you.

Just smile and let people know, I FINALLY KNOW WHO I AM; I am fearfully and wonderfully made by my Father who is in Heaven.

May this video Bless your spirit today everybody! :D

The Blameless Christian

BlamelessHi Everybody,

I am still trying to get back into the habit of writing but it’s going to take me a bit more time since I’ve been preparing for a fundraising event. The one thing that God has been talking to me lately is about living the “blameless” lifestyle as a Christian.

Granted, we all struggle with weaknesses because we wrestle with our sinful nature and that is understandable, but what God was talking to me about is about living a life with INTERGRITY and HUMILITY.

If we fear God, we must be a type of people that do not stir up trouble or strife in the lives of others.  We have to live a life where no one can say “this person did me wrong”. We have to be strong enough to say “I am sorry” and “I was wrong”. The moment we cannot say these words, is when we have the problem of PRIDE in our lives. We must do a serious heart check in order to remain in “right-standing” before the King of kings and the righteous judge.

Do not give room for the Accuser to have a case against you.

Psalm 37:37

Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace.

God resists the proud and always gives grace to the humble. (James 4:61 Peter 5:5)

We cannot be people causing our brothers or sisters to stumble because of our attitude. We must be careful that we do not create an atmosphere in which the devil will have a case built up against you to accuse you before the King of kings giving him the permission to torment your life.

In the eyes of the Lord we must be “Blameless”.

Recently I wrote on my Facebook page about an offering that is not accepted by God in reference to Matthew 5:23-25. Believe me, this principle is still in action today and yet God has been talking to me about how people worship Him in vain when still being disobedient to simple principles.

In my Facebook page I wrote:

There is an offering that is not acceptable to God. When we hurt our brothers and sisters and do not make it right, God will not accept your tithe or offering until you have made it right with them. You must fear God so much that you seek to make it right with your brother or sister. Some people’s blessings are bound up because they have disobeyed this one simple principle and thus, tithe and offer in vain hoping things will change. Go back and make it right and then come back to the alter with your offering and God will bless the works of your hands.

Matthew 5:23-25

23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.

Let us not toy with our lives and fool ourselves. We have to do right and live right and admit our faults and failures. Sometimes it’s not always about being “right” all the time; it’s about creating an atmosphere of peace with your fellow brothers and sisters which is pleasing and acceptable to God. I’m not saying that you will always agree with one another, but the point is, Peace is what we create by the choices we make and by the attitude we choose to present ourselves with towards others as we operate in the reverential fear of the Lord.

Job was described as “Blameless”.  Read the Word and consider what it means to be BLAMELESS before the Lord.

LIVE RIGHT, DO RIGHT, SPEAK RIGHT, and BELIEVE RIGHT. <— this is the key to remaining BLAMELESS.

I have a song that is in my spirit from 21:03  called In Your Presence. May this song bless your spirit today. God bless you everybody!  :D
