Irena and her work certainly deserves a LOT of attention. Thankfully, it has been reblogged by at least ONE of my favorite fellow writers. I am also reblogging it. We MUST honor Irena’s work by stepping out wherever and whenever we can as she did, utilizing whatever knowledge and resources at our disposal in brave and imaginative ways, as Urena did. We honor her most by following her example!
This is what I placed in comments on Oiya Brown’s blog, which I already follow. I am also placing on my Facebook timeline, on Twitter, and reblogging to my own blog at http://granbee.wordpress.com! Hooray for drawing this quickly to my attention, dear Sherline!

The Scriptures that come to mind when I read this were:
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
1 John 3:16
[ The Outworking of Love ] By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
